I would give this place five stars for many reasons. Scheduling was so easy and the person making my appointment was kind and very efficient. I did not have to wait long to obtain an appointment. The place is very cute. Had perfect music playing and had these cool garage doors that pulled up for windows. Leeanne was my person and she was amazing. The stylist and staff are very nice and professional. But something didn't work for me. I went there to get rid of the frizzy hair. I have 2c-3a curl type. My hair looked amazing right after the HED keratin treatment. After a week, I could see some frizz. After 3 weeks my hair is back to normal, so frizzy. I can't believe the treatment stayed on for only 3 weeks, when I was told the treatment goes away in 3 months. I followed all the instructions from the stylist (very nice in person). Flat ironed my hair for the first 3 days, no washing or sweating as well. After that , I'm only using the shampoo and conditioner among the brands she recommended. The shampoo is terrible. Makes my scalp itchy and has sulfate. I complained to them about the frizz coming back too soon. They recommend a leave in conditioner. Didn't work either. If leave in conditioner could make my hair frizz free, I wouldn't need such an expensive treatment. I won't recommend this place. The photo shows the frizz 3 weeks after the treatment. I did the braids 2 hours before the photo to hide the frizz. It's all frizzy again :(( read more

Initially I was very happy with my hair. Casey told me she was using the strongest possible keratin and that my hair would be straight and frizz free. Within 3 weeks, it is definitely not frizz free and looks like I haven't had anything done. It was also very expensive (with tip, $350). I was told to text with questions or concerns. I texted Casey to ask if there was something else I should be doing for my hair along with a picture and she did not respond. I wasn't asking for a refund or anything, just advice. I don't think this was handled professionally and I won't be returning. Way too much money for almost zero return. read more

I hadn't gotten a keratin treatment in a long time but Ive had many in the past. I have NEVER been uncharged $100 for the "length & density" of my hair: I measured and its 6" past my shoulders. I was told that the starting price was for chin length hair. Chin length??? Really? I'm dubious. The Groupon was $90 for a $150 value supposedly, but I felt like I got gouged because it was a Groupon and the stylist charged extra to make up for the discount. Leanne did a good job: she was efficient in getting me done in 2 hours flat, but was extremely rough and seemingly uncaring about how hard and fast she went with her brush making my scalp feel raw, pulling hair, and going way past my hair line on my face (sometimes down to my eyebrow with the nylon bristle brush...ouch!) I gave 3 stars for the fact that the hair came out good but I would definitely NOT go back. read more

It's a shame that one person can ruin your entire experience at a good business, but it's the also employees that represents the business so I'm very disappointed in Angela the owner of the business location, for hiring unprofessional stylists. My 14 year old daughter and I drove 25 miles to have a keratin treatment on her African American hair. As soon as we entered our stylist was visibly emotional and unpleasant. She looked at my daughters hair and had a sick look on her face. I asked several questions about her hair and what platform Keratin Shop lists their reviews. She was shook by that question, and immediately said that I made her feel uncomfortable. She turned to my daughter and said to her "she's being confrontational isn't she" referring to me. I said I had no intention of that, and offered an apology she moved my daughter to the wash bowl added shampoo and water to her hair. Then said she needed to step out and call her boss. She left us in the shop for 10 minutes alone, came back and told us to leave. My daughter was in tears. We left with her hair soaking wet, even her whole hoodie was wet when she soaked her hair. This was obviously racism, she had no other reason to treat my daughter this way. I sent an urgent email to Angela and she never responded. I called the salon again and was told she wasn't there. I am still waiting to talk to Angela. And make sure my credit card info is taken off their system, and get an apology for my daughter who had her day ruined by this experience. Shame on you keratin shop for treating my daughter this way on NYE. I do not recommend anyone visit this store who has ethic hair and to talk to the technician who will be working with you first before you book. The woman we worked with was emotionally unstable and obviously not comfortable with black hair. Toxic behavior and Racism has no place in our hair salon communities.
