DO NOT and I mean DO NOT get a vehicle from this company. I have had a car from them since December 2018, I made all my payments and now since the COVID-19 my boyfriend lost his job and am the only one working its hard enough to pay the note plus other bills, but in addition they REFUSE to work with you. The finance company they use turn your vehicle off after being only 14 days late yes DAYS, NOT WEEKS, NOT MONTHS but DAYS late. I have asked them way to many times to let me pay weekly and they have refused to do so. Today 12/29/20 I spoke with Shonda and she asked me very rude " why won't you just pay the note" I said because I only have $140 I can pay that and the rest next week" she said "well you are risks the car getting repo" I said "that's fine ill rather risks the car getting repo than us getting evicted" she said " why would you risk going without a car" I said because us having a roof over our head is more important and we all can't live in a car." I disconnected the call after that and tried to speak with a supervisor which they have denied me several times. They will only say "you need to pay $253 today or we can't turn the car back on." This dealership and finance company claim they are here to help you which is why I came to them, but in reality they are all about the money and if you are 8-14 DAYS late they turn your car off and give you attitude. I will NEVER RECOMMEND this company to anyone I know, but I will leave a bad review every chance I get. I'm located in Texas not California. read more

I went to these guys for help with a car before. i told them, i had bad credit. They denied me help of any sort and i had money on me, for a down payment on a vehicle. They were both rude and unwilling to help me, as they found out that i was a disabled person. And i only got paid once a month. I do not recommend this place to anybody, for the simple reason, that they do not uphold, what they tell you about the place. What they say in the ad about this place, is fraudulent. The cars they have are not up to vehicular standard safety specifications of good used vehicles. if i were to walk into this store again with a down payment in my pocket, i wouldnt trust them as far as i could throw them. But i dont intend to do so, because of how i was treated. They arent as friendly as they say they are, and they DO, check your credit rating whether you like it or not. if you have a better option, i suggest you take it. read more

I was approved for a loan but at an insane payment. Im not that desperate. The vehicle i was looking at (used) was priced higher than you could buy it for new. I was "helped" by Lynnesa who only contacted me for answers to her questions but never answered mine. She was extremely rude to my family when we went in to look at vehicles. The selection was a joke. Not to mention we had to search the lot ourselves and was told to come back in when we found something. Lynnesa stayed inside where it was warm the whole time. I understand I have bad credit, but you certainly arent doing me any favors. There are plenty of other dealerships who help people like me. I will never be back and never recommend this dump to anyone. read more

i bought a 08 ford explorer sports track love the truck but i've only had it for 1 week and the radiator started leaking and engine over heated and i called to get it towed they fix the problem in one day but the next day i was leaving work a tool showed up on my screen and then something with my tranny line blew and now the transmission of blown it im not happy with the service. read more

My experience with The Key/Auto Finance was simply humiliating and cold hearted in more ways than one. Unknowingly to me, my friends, my car was repossessed while I was in the Public Library, 4 miles from home. The person who picked up the car didn't bother to enter the library to inform me of the situation at hand. Stranded, 63 years old and cold, I had to walk the 4 miles with a load of paperwork. Keep in mind that I have paid off 2 vehicles with this company in the past, and to be frank, I thought I was a valued customer. I must admit that I fell behind in my payments due to a marriage separation, which I informed their representative. The original contract was set up on my wife's pay days, every 2 weeks, and I was a State Employee who got paid once a month. I ask for a restructure of my contract but was told everything had to be current with full cover insurance or else late fees, penalties, interest and $46 extra for their insurance would be added. Good People, this really didn't bother me that much, because I realize this is the way the car business works. What really got to me was the total disregard a company or person has for another human beings health and welfare. A simple courtesy notification of some kind would have taken me out of harms way and the cold thoughts that I now have for this company. Was I behind in my payments? Yes. But My God, when will people return to treating each other with some concern, respect and dignity, we use to give in our society. Well, I really can't answer that, but it doesn't appear this type of behavior will start at The Key/Auto Finance. The key lies and does not honor its policies. They advertise, and their sales people tell you, that if you purchase a car from them you can trade up for a fee at any time, but when after 2 years of ownership I decided to trade up my vehicle they said their policy was changed and refused to honor their original trade up policy. I spoke to several people and was put on hold many different times but could get no one to answer my queries on why the policy was changed and why they would not honor the policy in affect when I purchased the vehicle. Very poor customer relations!! So i just purchased a vehicle from them 3 weeks ago and with all the weather tragedies that occurred in OKLahoma my car was totaled. Of course it was covered in the insurance policy but now i just got informed from The Key that i was a payment pass due and that i had a payment coming up too! This after the car was totaled and after i explained my situation to them. They were careless and informed me that until they had their money from the insurance they needed my biweekly payment or i would be sued!! The worst part is that the process could take up to a month! This is not what they advertise"CARS.LOANS.LIFE". If you are in the market for a vehicle i suggest you to find a different dealership. read more

Very poor company! have been a customer for almost 2 years. Recently my wife and I filed for bankruptcy and we didn't claim the pickup though. Now even though bankruptcy is discharged, when I call in they tell me they can't discuss our account because we are in bankruptcy. I even sent them discharge papers. Today, my wife and I had enough and asked for the payoff so we could trade vehicle in and get away from these people. After 45 minutes of arguing I finally received my payoff. Sales staff very helpful and professional, vehicles are very clean with low miles, prices are a bit higher but the year, make and models are top of the line vehicles in excellent condition, I would recommend my friends and family to visit The Key if they are in the market for a new or used vehicle. read more

i agree with the last comment look at their inventory every vehicle is basically marked way over blue book value. I was stupid enough to not properly think thrue my purchase and im sure they saw me coming a mile away i am a disabled vet on a fixed income from my disability benefits.i currently have a vehicle i been paying 500 a month on for the past year but have only managed to knock 2000 off the rest is interest i still have 3 years left this puts me at about 23,000 for a vehicle which is basic stock not even cruz control and i can go on Craigslist today and find the exact vehicle but with the works for 7,000 dollars and 30,000 miles less than what my vehicle currently has. DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM THIS COMPANY I realize the slogan CARS LOANS LIFE means you will be stuck in our crappy overpriced car loans for life. read more

They will rip you off every chance they get. They will change financing on you without notifying you and take multiple payments out of your checking account at one time when they are only authorized to take one. They refuse to return calls. If calls are returned whoever you are talking to is extremely rude and acts like they don't have the time to talk to you. Which they probably don't because they are too busy STEALING other peoples hard earned money. read more

You are signing your life away with the deals they offer. The cars are older model cars. The finance charges and interest they charge are astronomical! You are better off saving up the money and buying an old beater until you can do better. The interest alone that you pay will have the car paid off in one year but you are locked in a plan that has you paying for the next 7 years (you would have paid for the car 4 times!!) And the payment plans they set up, will have you going without food for the month to pay them. I would not recommend getting a car from them. And their customer service is not all that great either, they don't process the paper work for your tag in a timely manner and within the law; the temp tag expired and I ended up driving the car an additional 45 days after it expired because of the delay of getting the title to purchase the tag. It's it shame how they rip off poor working class people with not so great credit they don't help you they take advantage of your financial situation. I regret every day that I got a car from them.
