This is definitely one of our favorite spots in LA. We love sitting outside & people-watching, the atmosphere is always welcoming and relaxed. Whether you're a cigar enthusiast or simply accompanying someone who enjoys cigars, you'll feel right at home. While the lounge doesn't serve food, there are plenty of nearby restaurants within walking distance, and delivery options are also available. The service is exceptional, Manny always provides outstanding hospitality, and honestly, everyone we've encountered here has been friendly and attentive. The lounge features a members-only area, a well-stocked walk-in humidor with plenty of cigar selections, and comfortable indoor seating available for non-members as well, limited seats in front area. The patio offers high-top seating, perfect for enjoying the lively surroundings. The private area is really nice for the members, lots of seating, TV's, a board room area, etc. The location is excellent, with metered street parking available and a nearby parking garage for added convenience. The King Cigar Lounge is doing it well. This DTLA cool and classy cigar bar is located on Hope Street near the corner of 11th. Street parking available, but it goes pretty fast. Easy enough parking garage next door ($10). They're open every day from Noon until Midnight and only closer earlier on Sundays, by 10pm. We popped in on a Sunday and had a few sodas with a cigar each. The lady on duty was super cool and helpful. And we pretty much had the place to ourselves for a bit. Two other guys joined us and we enjoyed some sports and sports history on Lionel Messi, the iconic Argentinean futbol/football/soccer player. Prices are reasonable. The layout is dope. A few loungey chairs and a sofa, plus tall tables and chairs in the main lounge. They have an outdoor patio area in front you'll see when you first walk in with tables and chairs outside overlooking Hope Street and neighboring spaces. Cigar humidor is spacious and the selection is plenty. Displays and pricing is cigar chic. Back lounge is for members only and there were a small handful of gents hanging back there. Restroom is well kept up and very modern. Cigar accessories available for use including cutters and lighters, plus displayed throughout for use while you enjoy a nice stick. I'm a big fan of this cigar lounge and super thankful there's a lounge in downtown. I was so excited to find out there was a cigar lounge in downtown because I was able to walk less than 10 mins. There is a front living room area for walk-in guests that just want to spend a short time inside the lounge and there's an official backroom for "VIP" guests, members, etc. The backroom is big and spacious which is great. Once I walked into their humidor, they instantly had what I wanted and what I've been craving which is the Padron 1926 no. #9 in maduro. It was going for about $40 here which is fairly the same price as the Bay Area. I sat down, relaxed and took my time smoking this beautiful stick. I was also having a few conversations with some of the regulars there which was nice. The King Cigar lounge has most of the cigar brands you want especially the higher end labels such as Davidoff, Padron, My Father, more. It was one of those synchronistic days. I on this rare occasion had no obligations to attend to at 3:30PM of a perfectly weathered Thursday. Having nothing to do, I walked the dirty & sad streets of Downtown LA, when guess who I run into? An old mate, pal, comrade or just friend if I'm starting to get annoying. He too at that moment had no prior engagements and thus we were blessed with the opportunity to catch up while having a few laughs. As we tried to decide what to do, almost magically we caught knowing eyes with each other and blurted out simultaneously, "Talk like 1920's gangsters while smoking cigars!" And as fate would have it, there was King Cigar Lounge, not but 50 feet from where we stood. Talk about synchronicities, right? We stepped inside and took a look at their diverse cigar stash, then proceeded to the outside smoking area for some puffs and people watching. All along the way our conversations were filled with words like, say and see. Actually every sentence we spoke the whole night consisted of the words say and see. The people sitting around us were quite annoyed but neither of us noticed as we puffed our cigars and drank the sodas we bought from inside, since our throats felt like a dry desert. However we soon bothered nobody with our old timey gangster twang since they all seemed to be members which allows you access to the more spacious and comfortable back room, where there are also lockers to keep your cigars and personals. After a few hours, the cigars were finished and there was a nice buzz that it left behind. My friend and I hugged and said our good-byes, hoping to run into each other again. The setting was perfect, it's smaller and less crowded than Bar Jackalope and the good feelings from seeing an old friend after a long time was a nice present from the universe. I intentionally booked an air bnb walking distance to a cigar lounge never being in LA before. This was the one and my boyfriend and I were not disappointed. Manny was very accommodating on helping my bf find a cigar that he couldn't get at home. We went every night after our activities for the day. They even let us enjoy our cigars in the members lounge. The King Cigar Lounge has been around since about 2019. It is just so darn pretty. I don't smoke cigars but my husband does and we go there together sometimes after and event at Staples, which is near by. The King Cigar Lounge has a large public area available for everyone and a large private area for members only. We are not members so I have not seen the private area, but I bet it is cool and I bet it is pricey. The high ceiling public area has a walk in humidor filled with famous cigars from all over the world. Now, they are not cheap, but their prices are fair for what you are getting. The staff is great. They will help you with gifts and what type of cigar you might have in mind. The public area also has seating for walk in guests and a large flat screen TV on the wall to catch all of the latest sport events. If you are a member they have about 100 lockers for your cigars and a much a TVs that are huge. It is a fun thing to do if you can tolerate cigars. Did I mention that their cigar selection is great? I am no cigar aficionado but one of my favorite lounges here in downtown LA. Mike who runs the show is phenomenal very knowledgeable and welcoming, one of the staff members Michelle, is very kind and welcoming. Cigars are dry. And service was less than hospitable. Some buff dude came in the humidor and didn't have cigar knowledge and was very condescending in assisting in choosing something comparable other than my usual stick. Because he felt so uncomfortable he sent in a woman who asked "are you done". No we weren't, but are now.... and attempted to smoke two dried out ass cigars. I left half of an Oliva V series. My friend took hers home, whatever it was, in an attempt to salvage it, so sad we wasted almost $40 for NOTHING. They totally judged the book by the cover, dry cigars, and no hospitality..... I doubt we will be back. Those who patronize place open need to re-evaluate your priorities. Mail order has better quality. read more

I know nothing about cigars, I came with my two doggos for nighttime walkies and decided to drop by to shop for gifts for a dear friend. He was very knowledgeable in regard to the products and helped me select 3 rare and great items for my friend! Tito did not want to go inside due to the smoke but two lovely gentleman were kind enough to watch my dogs for me as they enjoyed their cigars outside. The King Cigar Lounge is a classy affair of cigar enjoyment. Located DTLA, the stogies were a bit on the pricey side but the lounge is an absolute gem. The outside has high tables and chairs to smaller and relax in the shade. Inside has extra large comfy chairs up front and high tables and chairs in back. The humidor has a wide selection of the best brands. I chose the My Father Le Bijou. It was a beautiful day some day outside. After, I was given a tour. There is the public side open for all and there is the private side reserved for members, providing lockers, secluded smoking lounge, TV and couches. Really nice spot. read more

While the cigar selection isn't the most extensive, they do carry a good variety of Davidoff and Fuente, so you'll likely find what you're looking for. Non-members have both indoor and outdoor seating options, though the seating is somewhat limited, especially as it gets busier in the evenings. Really cool spot in DTLA. Great service and a cool crowd to watch a game or two. The lounge is a decent-sized lounge, but adequate. Limited but premium brands. I think the biggest "downvote" for me is the limited space for nonmembers. It would be nice if there was even a "day" membership fee to be able to access the more ample seating areas for out-of-town guests. But I would visit again. read more

Cigar Lounges are reviewed in 3 parts for me because smoking at a lounge is supposed to be an experience, unlike eating in my opinion. The location is on a nice street in DTLA. 1. Customer Service was eh; not very welcoming, not very helpful, and just a little disappointing considering you want to sell people on becoming a member. 2. The humidor was spacious and had a decent selection, a little pricier than others. Not many brands but the brand that were available; Davidoff, Fuente, Ashton, and a couple other were well represented and had many of their lines available. 3. The lounge itself (as a non member) is meant to attract a classy clientele. For those not paying for a yearly membership seating is limited both inside and outside, the tvs are awkwardly over the counter, and just not welcoming. In need of a smoke check it out but unless you're willing to pay the yearly fee its a no go for me. read more

Humidor selection is "top shelf" oriented, but you can bring your own sticks with a $25 purchase or "entrance fee" as they call it (can go towards drinks & cigars). We were a little confused on what days we (non-members) could pay to access the private lounge area again, and what days we cannot. We'd like to host the private room, but didn't seem to be a system of reservation-could possibly be first come first serve? Would definitely love to revisit and become regulars if not members, just need more info on rules before introducing my group over.
