Today was our 3rd time dining here. We brought our 21 year old daughter who loves steaks. She definitely enjoyed her Prime Rib. It was cooked to perfection. Father's Day dinner with my family and friends at StoneBrier. We ordered off their special menu and covered a lot of ground between five people. Some plates were worth it, others weren't, and at the prices they're charging the gaps were hard to ignore. The appetizers were the highlight of the meal. The deviled eggs were a hit at the table and went fast. The jalapeño on each one was a nice touch, though the heat varied depending on which egg you grabbed since it was just a thin slice. The salmon cakes were solid, nothing to complain about. My mom's ceviche tostada was loaded, the avocado was generous and fresh, but the ceviche itself lacked the acidity you expect from the dish and had very little shrimp in it. She said it felt more like a lunch item than a dinner offering, though two of them were filling. My mom's friend had the steak frites, which was the standout plate of the night: a lean cut with a rich mushroom béchamel, well cooked, and the frites were fried rather than what you might expect, but the flavor delivered. My dad's spinach salad was underwhelming, overdressed with a balsamic that was too sharp and overpowered everything else. My ribeye was the disappointment. At $65 I expected better. It was thin, closer to pounded than what you'd expect from the cut, came out medium instead of medium rare, and didn't feel substantial for the price. The baked potato was a basic side, sour cream and onion, nothing more. The broccolini arrived at room temperature, borderline cold, which was unexpected. The au jus on the side didn't add much for me. Service was attentive but veered into overdone territory, the kind of performative politeness that signals they want a good tip more than they're genuinely being warm. It was noticeable. Also worth knowing: if you're seated near the windows, the afternoon sun can be blinding depending on when you go. The atmosphere is genuinely nice and this place works better as a brunch spot than a special occasion dinner destination. I've had better meals here before, which is why I know they can do better. One practical note: if you're parking in the disabled spots near the leasing center next door, the sidewalk doesn't connect to the restaurant entrance. Came for brunch (double date LOL) and it did not disappoint! Steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and seasoned so well. The soft potato balls were --super flavorful and a great side. Of course we had to do bottomless mimosas because what's brunch without them?! Service was friendly and everything came out quick. Definitely a spot I'd come back to! read more

Why was this draft never submitted? I may never know. I need to stop this habit lol. This is one of my favorite local spots for a nice dinner that isn't too expensive. I love their dinner specials and how they do different "spirits" pairing dinners. Not sure if the pairing dinners are still a thing but I'd def check it out just for the experience. I LOVE their short ribs. I've ordered a lot of short ribs in my day and they're definitely hold up to some of the best places I've been to. They got rid of it for a while and were only doing it as a short rib Mac and cheese for a while but hopefully it's back on there. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and before you could even dine at the Chef's table in the kitchen. Great date night spot too. On certain days they also have a live musician. My mom loves coming here and always enjoys her visits, and since we were in town, we all went after church. My mom even made a reservation. When we arrived, the main dining area was empty (I thought they were closed!) but we were still asked if we had a reservation, which was comical because, clearly there was no one in the main dining area. She's only been here for dinner so she thought the menu was the same menu all the time. One of the servers was quite rude in explaining this to us and told us we could not order from the dinner menu, only order from the lunch menu. it was mostly just salads and sandwiches, or breakfast items, not what she wanted or we wanted, but we were already there. 30 bucks for a burger and fries is wild for lunch. It was good but nothing special. Others in our group got the chicken fried steak (I think). It was some meat, pounded and fried with a side of eggs. The meat was very thin, the batter had no flavor or seasoning, and the batter fell off the meat which was sad. We got the calamari as an app and it was pretty good. we were hardly checked on and the only customers in the main dining area for lunch, and most people were in the bar area. So no one really came over to check on us when we needed things like another refill, more sauce, etc. I could swear one of the girls was also vacuuming in the dining area WHILE WE WERE EATING. who does that? we even tried getting her attention but she never looked up at us...or just ignored us. They've got what appears to be 3 different seating areas inside. We got sat right away after arriving and getting inside. We had a nice waitress greet us. She then took our drink & appetizer order. We got calamari which came out shortly afterwards and was good. We then ordered the filet, scallops, Elk, & Ribeye. All the dishes were good and prepared right. We hadn't been to The kitchen in awhile, but they are always so welcoming and attentive. Our server Elsa was so nice and explained everything in great detail. They have some new cocktails and menu items, and also a lounge! The ambiance is always so nice, they had a live performance the night we were there. We decided to go here to celebrate 2 of our friends birthdays. It happened to be restaurant week. They had a $45 3 course meal so we all decided on that. Best decision ever. Once again impressed by this amazing resturant! This is definitely a hidden gem in town. If you drive by you might just miss it. I've been here once for a annual business dinner & today for mother's day celebration! This mother's day was extra special however because this is my first time in a while being back in my hometown from Uni & being able to celebrate holidays with my mom. This resturant is a "business casual" if I had to label it lol. They come with formal menus: breakfast, lunch, & dinners. There are also indoor & outdoor dining options. However, right now some dining areas are being remodeled so keep that in mind. For indoor seating I think the main seating & the fireplace settings are wonderful settings- however, they have great views so you can't go wrong! Since this is a popular resturant for holidays etc and weekends I would recommend making reservations. Especially depending on the menus & what items you prefer to order. Depending on the time of day they do not serve certain entrees. While lunch was extremely wonderful- I will say I am a big fan of the variety & options of the dinner menu here it's my absolute favorite! For lunch this mother's day- my mom ordered salmon tacos, my dad a salmon salad ( add ons for salmon), i got the caprese sandwhich which had amazing pesto dressing & grilled chicken, & my grandma got the CJ sandwhich which was comparable to the BLT :) everyone absolutely loved their meals. For our appetizers we got brushed! Although the brushetta was good it was a pretty small portion - more like 1 piece of toast for 4 people cut in 4 slices. I thought this was their toasted bread with olive oil & klamata olive dip so it was partly my mistake. Overall, a great outing. Not your everyday casual lunch- it tends to be noticeably more expensive but the service and quality are amazing. The staff here is amazing, incredibly attentive and nice, they checked in constantly to see if we needed anything, exceptional service. The mixed berry mimosa was really good. The restaurant has an upscale artsy vibe to it, unique blown glass light fixtures, large open windows, themed artwork. The eggs Benedict was beautifully plated, but I felt like it lacked flavor. I came here for a work dinner after a meeting in Stockton. I had actually recommended it because it looked good from the photos and reviews. The service was good and our server was really cordial and friendly. She was attentive and always come around at the right time. The ambiance and decor is really beautiful. There are hanging glass art pieces around the restaurant that look like Chihuly pieces which are gorgeous. I really wanted to like this place but it just fell short of expectations. Unfortunately the most important thing to me is the quality of food which just fell short of expectations especially for the prices. I was hoping to get a non-caffeinated tea but unfortunately they had little to choose from in the beverage department. There were only a few tea selections like green and black tea. For appetizers we got deviled eggs, calamari and bruschetta. The deviled eggs were mediocre. The flavor was a bit bland and didn't taste like there was much added to the yolk mixture. The calamari was decent with good texture and bite to it. The bruschetta was not impressive in any way. For the main course, i had the ribeye steak . The texture was decent but the flavor seemed off. I wasn't sure if it was just over salted but the flavor lacked complexity. The sides were a bit disappointing too. The brussel were just okay but the cauliflower was too creamy. My coworkers got the beef Wellington but after waiting substantially longer for it, they messed up the cook on the Wellington and told them that the couldn't serve it and they would need to make something else for them. First timer here! What a great lunch experience and love that it's so close to home. I've been wanting to try this place for a while and finally got the chance to. The restaurant ambiance is beautiful, I love the decor and the chihuly glass pieces. If you ever go to Seattle, the chihuly museum is a must. The service was great and our waitress Sara is awesome! My family and I ordered the short rib melt, the Monte cristo, the pacific fish tacos, the beef stroganoff, and the kids cheeseburger sliders. I went to The Kitchen at StoneBrier in person to make a reservation for Mother's Day. The female employee at the front ignored us for several minutes while helping others. We stood there waiting for about 15 - 20 minutes, and even another customer pointed out that we were waiting to be helped. Instead of assisting us, she finally told us to call and make the reservation by phone. She could have said that from the beginning instead of wasting our time. They gave us blueberry scones are a free appetizer. They were good and perfect size. We had a variety of food. I can only speak for what I tried. I had the prime dip sandwhich with a side salad, scones and the kids chicken tenders. My sandwhich was delicious & the salad! The kids chicken tenders were good but they were a fancy version on tenders and my kids, who is extremely picky was not a fan. Fries were good as well. The host walked us to a 2 seat table and just completely disregarded the fact that we had an infant in a car seat and expected us to just sit him on the floor? I had to go back to the car to grab his stroller so he could be in something. Also, we were seated on to the side in this separate room from the lobby, in a secluded area. I definitely feel like there was some time of stereotyping/planned seating arrangements made by the restaurant bc the only other 2 people sat in the same secluded area were 2 women who didn't fit "the look" of the restaurant (I'm trying to avoid using stronger/loaded words but there was definitely some of that stuff going on). I was in my scrubs and my husband had more of a casual look going on. Food: I ordered the short ribs ravioli. It was alright, but for 28$ I feel like we definitely should've gotten more like 5/6 pieces of ravioli. My husband ordered the lamb which mind you were SIXTY SOMETHING DOLLARS, sucked. It came with 2 little lamb chops, 2 pieces of broccoli, half a carrot, and some rice. EXTREMELY overpriced and on top of that the lamb chops were chewy. We paid because we were just over it but never going here again and definitely don't recommend people with kids or people who don't fit the "look" of this restaurant to go because you will be treated differently and food was sub par and overpriced. This was our first and LAST time dining here. What we thought was going to be a lively, upscale brunch spot was instead a soulless pit of despair. Our reservation was at 11:30AM on a Saturday morning. The moment we walked in, we felt like I was already being ushered to leave. We sat down, continued our conversation, menus not even opened yet. The server comes by (does NOT introduce herself, does NOT say hello, does NOT engage with us in any way that is friendly or welcoming). Instead, she just says, "you guys know what you want?" Doesn't ask if we want anything to drink and instead goes into the specials which she starts with, "broccoli cheddar. That is our soup..." and because she never said her name, we began to refer to her as 'broccoli cheddar.' We asked her how many pancakes came in a stack and she said "good question." There was only one dish on the menu that had pancakes. What. Later on when we received our food (which might have been the only positive in this experience), the food runner didn't seem to know what he was giving us, announced the wrong name of the dish, and when we asked for clarification it seemed that he was confused. It did not make me feel sure of what I ordered, and I questioned whether or not I actually received the correct dish. She didn't start strong and she certainly didn't finish strong. When she put the bill down, she attempted to make a joke that was indicative of her inability to connect with the people she's serving, or let alone read the room. We tipped her $4 and still felt like that was overly generous. Once she collected the signed bill, she thanked us and began to walk away. Then she stopped and turned back to wish us a good day, which makes sense because we've always been just an afterthought to her. Oh and the fun doesn't stop there. The hostess successfully matched the server's energy as she bussed our table. Again, we felt like we were being rushed out and no one was happy working there. How disappointing. read more

Ok so here's the thing, the potatoes were amazing. But the eggs/omelette looked plastic and tasted close to it. We had a lovely first experience at The Kitchen at StoneBrier. Very warm greeting by the hostess and the maître d, who told us a lot about the menu offerings and clearly loves his job. Our waitress was nice but perhaps a little distracted. Overall the meal was quite good, although I was disappointed that my pork tenderloin was a good deal overcooked and the Brussels sprouts were nearly raw (I mean hard!). But everything was extremely tasty and well presented. And the space is very welcoming and lovely. Would definitely go back again if we ever find ourselves in Stockton around dinner time. The ambience is beautiful, relaxing with plants and a fireplace and a water area inside. The delicious goat cheese pistachio, and Arooga salad with fresh oranges was delicious. The beef stew was tasty but a little bland so I added extra Parmesan cheese and pepper. The service was nice. My friend sandwich was delicious on focaccia bread. The person size is moderate. I enjoyed my Salmon benedicts and potatoes. It's as expected. I would have liked maybe a little twist to it that the restaurant made it it's own. But maybe some people like as is. Tried a piece of the short ribs from the sandwich after I had mine and it tasted too heavy for me personally. But my company enjoyed the short ribs sandwich + the extra fries. Had a great time first time here. As there were 8 of us we did make a reservation and were seated right on time. However, we were placed in the center of the main dining room which was fun but we were loud and I feel like next time, the patio area might be more appropriate for this particular group of ladies, LOL. I didn't catch our server's name, but she was very patient with our large group and drinks and food came out timely considering it was a fairly crowded Friday night. Food was good with a menu that has lots of options. The fare here is fancier than most Stockton establishments and honestly, I feel like this could be a restaurant on the Mile or even Lincoln Center. I had a margarita to start with which was nice and strong. For dinner I tried the beef bourguignon over noodles, for dessert, the creme brulee. Overall, it was a very satisfying meal if a little on the pricey side. I think my entree alone was $25 and it does not come with anything like a side salad. I went here several years ago for my 50th birthday. We had the chef's table in the kitchen. It was awesome. The staff, even though they were working were friendly and let us observe them from a distance and the food was incredible. On special occasions, we order an extra dish for the table just so we can taste something different and it goes around the table. We had a table of seven so that went pretty quick. That was a great experience. On the flip-side, my husband and I went for breakfast one morning last year we sat outside and one of the waiters had friends sitting at the next table. We were completely ignored. We didn't even get our drinks. However, the friends next to us got their food before we even got our order and we were there first. Needless to say we got up and left. I hope to go again this weekend but if there's another place out there, I think I'd rather try another place then go back after the incident with the waiter. read more

We met some friends for lunch. Our server was very friendly and polite. The ambiance is nice and the Italian glass displays are stunning. The restaurant is well lit and clean. My Reuben sandwich was full of goodness however It was served on whole wheat bread ( not toasted) instead of the advertised" Local Rye . " It was difficult to eat/enjoy as it became very soggy. There was NO mention of the substitution in bread when ordered or served. My fries were cold. . The Monte Cristo sandwiches were sloppy to eat and the bread was not soaked well in the batter.
