First time dinning in at Huckleberry for breakfast and the food was delicious. I ordered the French Quarter Platter with huckleberry waffles, scrambled eggs, sausages and red potatoes. Hubby ordered the Cajun Egg Benedict. Although he throughly enjoyed it, he felt it was a bit oily. For drinks, we got hot coffee, milk and ice water. Our waitress was Jennifer and she was very kind. Although we didn't see her for most of our service, we can see she was hustling and bustling! The place gave a classic wood restaurant establishment which I love. The place was nicely light but not too bright where it blinds you. We were seated fairly quickly so that was a plus! Overall, such an extensive menu and I would like to come back and try their other breakfast and even brunch goodies.
The service was quick and efficient! Good recommendations and the food was good! The ambiance is super chill; get the country potatoes; you'll thank me later!
My first time eating at huckleberry , and I thought that they were pretty good on the portions although I don't think anyone can finish the plate without taking a box! I had the Tom's scramble, so it comes with biscuits and gravy with a choice of sausage patty or chicken fried steak and I chose the chicken fried steak, the chicken fried steak was good not super thick and I like that they make the muffins pretty much the biscuits etc from scratch ! I enjoyed the strawberry lemonade. I thought it had good sweetness, and I came in the biggest mason jar. You really get your moneys worth here.
Louisiana Catfish (Bayou Style) - This one hit the spot! Perfectly fried catfish with Southern-style seasoning. Crispy outside, tender and flaky inside. Crab Cake Benedict - Poached eggs over golden crab cakes, creamy hollandaise, and crispy hash browns on the side. The crab cakes had a stronger seafood flavor than I prefer. Not quite my type of dish
The servers are very attentive & pleasant. I like that the tables and booths have a sense of privacy between each. They try to give you the southern bayou feel with crickets chirping in the background. I always go for a classic dish - their country fried steak is a shining example of elevated comfort food. It's generously portioned, and smothered in rich, creamy gravy--it makes a bold promise of Southern satisfaction, and it delivers. The steak itself is tender and well-seasoned, encased in a crisp, perfectly fried breading that holds its texture without becoming greasy or overwhelming. The peppered country gravy is a highlight--velvety, flavorful, and served in just the right amount to complement rather than drown the dish. You have the option to pair your country fried steak with country-style potatoes or hash browns. Whether you're a longtime fan of the dish or a newcomer to this Southern classic, this rendition is worth the visit. I thoroughly enjoyed their homemade blueberry muffin! It comes out nice & warm. It was a perfectly golden-brown dome with a delicate sugar-crusted top. The texture was just right and it was served with a pat of butter on the side. I will continue visiting this establishment.
It has been many years since I have been to a Huckleberrys... so when I seen one on my way to the mountains I gladly stopped and grabbed breakfast. They have a decent menu with lots of choices a few vegan and vegetarian choices as well. Super easy to find right off the highway in a shopping center. It was a Sunday and holiday to boot all the staff seemed genuinely happy to be there and serve people that was refreshing. I was eating alone enjoying the vibe... I ordered the Garden Skillet which was a great choice it came with spinach, peppers potatoes onions and monterey cheese with a biscuit it was ever so slightly spicy and of course they have a few hot sauces right on the table next to the ketchup, nice touch! My experience was very good for a chain restaurant I sure enjoyed it!
Amount of food was good. It was a bit pricey. I did like the iced tea. Potatoes probably needed a bit more seasoning or something but overall it was ok. Service at front desk took awhile. And the ambiance was actually pretty chill.

The New Orleans-inspired menu is inventive and full of surprises, blending tradition with a unique twist. Every dish I tried was bursting with flavor, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. The staff were warm and attentive, making the experience even better. The vibe is vibrant, and the decor is effortlessly cool--this place has soul.
Manager needs to do quality control. Ordered an omelette with bacon, sausage and spinach.. What I got was FAT, sausage and spinach. I understand that bacon has fat but it was all fat and wouldn't break down. Do they save that part for DoorDash orders? I would have sent it back if I was in person. After a few bites I just started spitting it out. Disgusting! Very very disappointed!

And they were under staff.9.26.25 the food was overpriced I got the chicken tenders were salty, fries were soggy. my fiancé got the waffles and chicken. He did not like had a family member out of town. He did not like his food either.

My other friend ordered chicken gumbo and she said it tasted like dog food and that there was mystery meat in there. Overall, we really did not enjoy the food.
My husband and I drive past this place all the time and we finally decided to make a stop at this location and I'm so glad we did. The decor and atmosphere takes me straight back to Louisiana. We were greeted immediately and taken to our table. Service was quick and everyone had a smile on their face the entire time. We finally found a place that served fried tomatoes and you best believe I had to try them. They were soooo good! Do not skip these. The breakfast was like other places but their biscuit and gravy was on point. So buttery. Not dried at all. Highlight besides the fried tomatoes? Their beignets. A must-try! Chicken gumbo was ok tasted canned but wasn't terrible just didn't taste homemade. Beignets would not order again! These were terrible. These were like dumplings very dense and very different t texture of beignets. This is a for sure skip or pass! The Diet Coke needed some help it needed more syrup to be better flavored. 2/3 stars out of 5 for Diet Coke. My eggs were great as was the bacon and potatoes. 4 maybe 5 star for that. The French toast was a 1 or 2 it tasted stale and wasn't served hot. Hubby said his chicken fried steak was just ok. The steak tasted frozen not freshly made. Said they used to much margarine to cook the hash browns didn't care for them. Son said his chicken and waffles were average. Not the best not the worst. read more

The wait is horrible. Waited over 30 minutes just for our order to be taken. Our server was rude and didn't even check in on us, when we asked for basic things such as water and boxes we were ignored and forgotten about. Food was bland and lacked flavor. I'm very disappointed in the beignets, they had absolutely no flavor and tasted like soggy airy dough with no sweetness not even the sauce could help it. The waffle was bland and soggy I even felt sick after eating... I will not be returning! -0/10 read more

Came to this place on a week day and was seated right away . The menu all looked so delicious. Couldn't decide on three of the menu choices. In the end I got the banana pancakes, they did not disappoint. I ate it alll. Will come back and be back on a week day because on the weekends it looks too busy read more

First off I'll start by saying I have trouble going out and to restaurants due to disability but my friend from out of town really wanted to meet up. She loves Huckleberry's and I'd been to the one in Pismo years ago. It was conveniently located with accessible parking, though we did also have to help another disabled person with the door. Besides the door, everything was great. I specifically wanted to recognize Ashley for being a kind, attentive server. Service was quick and she was so friendly and accommodated my requests accurately. My CA Benedict (I ordered without avocado or balsamic, I had asked if they still had the "fried green tomato Benedict" I had before and she said she could make it that way) was tasty and had a generous portion of potatoes I took home for later. My friend enjoyed her chicken and waffles. The booths and lower lighting (but not dark) with large windows make it a nice cozy spot and it's easy to have a conversation there, I'd go so far as to call it sensory-friendly. The tree decor and light sound effects are cute. Unlike many Stockton restaurants, she didn't rush us out (granted it was a weekday late morning) and was patient with us which I found really refreshing, some kindness in difficult times. I'll be back hopefully as they had lots of tasty menu items, though I do wish they had some gluten free substitutes for bread products so more people can eat here. read more

If you haven't ever been to a Huckleberry, it's a unique, gimmicky place with good southern style breakfast food. They fried green tomatoes, fried okra, and the Benoit (Ben yay?) Are all good choices. Opted for the new Orleans skillet this visit, and it was pretty good. It looked good, tasted good, and only had to add a small amount of hot sauce and pepper. Opted for a biscuit and gravy instead of a muffin or toast. The country gravy had a touch too much flour in it. Otherwise, it was solid. Our waitress Maritza was great. Staff all around were super busy but attentive and super polite. As far as drinks go, they've got a good variety available, standard fountain drinks, iced tea, coffee, etc... If you are near 8 mile and are looking for a good choice for a sit-down breakfast joint, I'd recommend you pay them a visit. read more
Impromptu stop by this place this am. It was a little busy but we only had to wait like 5 mins for a seat. If you like some Cajun cooking, stop by this place. Maritza was the best server ever. She even asked about drinks to go beverages because of the heat. How sweet! Hubby had the New Orleans skillet and I went with Eggs with potatoes and toast. We are totally stuffed! Came here for breakfast for Father's Day. It was pretty busy considering the holiday, we opted to sit out on the patio to get seated quicker. It was a bit windy but didn't ruin our dining experience. It was my first time here and had a great first experience. The food and the service was great, I definitely would return to try other things. read more

Ordered crab cake benedict and Mississippi scamble with sourdough bread. Waited over 20 minutes for our food. When we received it, food was lukewarm. Mississipi scamble was just plain. My red potatoes were undercooked and some were stale and the toast was hard like it's been sitting out. After we got our food, server hardly came by to ask us if we needed anything. If the food was hot and delicious regardless of the wait time, I would've given them 4 stars. read more

Visited for Sunday brunch right around noon. There were many people waiting outside which indicated to me that the food must be good so we decided to wait the 40 minutes for a table. This restaurant is located in a huge shopping center so we were able to shop around while we waited. We were seated right at the 40 minute mark and our waitress checked in with us within 5 minutes. They have a decent sized menu with many options. We decided to start with the huckleberry tea. Very sweet and a big portion size. We ordered breakfast which came out hot and fresh. The tables are a little close together but the service was good and the food was excellent. read more
On a mission to try all the Huckleberry's. Today we visited Stockton off 8 Mile for breakfast. Here's what we ordered: Started with Bloody Mary; latte, coffees, fried green tomatoes and French fries for appetizers. Chicken salad, ribeye and eggs, banana French toast, eggs Benedict. The chicken salad was exactly what it was. Serving size was good and it came with a slice of toast. The eggs Benedict was ordered with no hollandaise sauce but arrived with a ton of sauce. The rib eye steak was super thin and ordered medium rare but came out medium well. The banana french toast came out slathered with butter and maple syrup. Last we ended with beignets with cream, apples, blueberry's and strawberry toppings. Food didn't come as ordered. I think the server wasn't paying attention and that's why the hollandaise sauce and ribeye came out wrong and well done. I couldn't even get a water refill. This is our forth Huckleberry I've tried and this might be the worse one with service and food not par. read more

Talk about some large fulfilling portions. I cannot wait to return back to try some of their other options from their menu as they all seemed as though they would be so delicious to devour. This visit I had the country fried steak with potatoes and a housemaid biscuit. Boy oh boy! Let me tell you I left a happy camper. Pretty neat to be able to have your drink in a mason jar. This location is fairly new to the area so of course lots of traffic coming in and out. We were informed that the wait time would be about 30 or 35 minutes but it was actually shorter than what we were informed. Once seated though it did take a while to Have our drink orders taken so once our waitress return to take our drink order we also ordered our meals to illuminate having to wait even longer. But it is definitely suggested to try the spot out. I don't think you will be disappointing read more

Been here for an hour. Was 15 min before the waitress -- who you can tell (does NOT want to be here) came to my table. The service here is barely alive! This Restaurant feels Poor and Unfriendly and they have Terrible Customer Service! Their food was awful as well! Avoid at all COSTS! read more
