My husband and I drive past this place all the time and we finally decided to make a stop at this location and I'm so glad we did. The decor and atmosphere takes me straight back to Louisiana. Hubby ordered the Cajun Egg Benedict. Although he throughly enjoyed it, he felt it was a bit oily. For drinks, we got hot coffee, milk and ice water. Our waitress was Jennifer and she was very kind. They have a decent menu with lots of choices a few vegan and vegetarian choices as well. Super easy to find right off the highway in a shopping center. Pretty much diner food. We stopped here on our NW roadtrip. My husband and I had create your own Omelets with extra crispy Hashbrowns. First off I'll start by saying I have trouble going out and to restaurants due to disability but my friend from out of town really wanted to meet up. She loves Huckleberry's and I'd been to the one in Pismo years ago. It was conveniently located with accessible parking, though we did also have to help another disabled person with the door. Besides the door, everything was great. I specifically wanted to recognize Ashley for being a kind, attentive server. Service was quick and she was so friendly and accommodated my requests accurately. My CA Benedict (I ordered without avocado or balsamic, I had asked if they still had the "fried green tomato Benedict" I had before and she said she could make it that way) was tasty and had a generous portion of potatoes I took home for later. My friend enjoyed her chicken and waffles. The booths and lower lighting (but not dark) with large windows make it a nice cozy spot and it's easy to have a conversation there, I'd go so far as to call it sensory-friendly. The tree decor and light sound effects are cute. Unlike many Stockton restaurants, she didn't rush us out (granted it was a weekday late morning) and was patient with us which I found really refreshing, some kindness in difficult times. Opted for a biscuit and gravy instead of a muffin or toast. The country gravy had a touch too much flour in it. Otherwise, it was solid. Our waitress Maritza was great. Staff all around were super busy but attentive and super polite. As far as drinks go, they've got a good variety available, standard fountain drinks, iced tea, coffee, etc... Here's what we ordered: Started with Bloody Mary; latte, coffees, fried green tomatoes and French fries for appetizers. Chicken salad, ribeye and eggs, banana French toast, eggs Benedict. The chicken salad was exactly what it was. Serving size was good and it came with a slice of toast. The eggs Benedict was ordered with no hollandaise sauce but arrived with a ton of sauce. The rib eye steak was super thin and ordered medium rare but came out medium well. The banana french toast came out slathered with butter and maple syrup. Last we ended with beignets with cream, apples, blueberry's and strawberry toppings. Food didn't come as ordered. I think the server wasn't paying attention and that's why the hollandaise sauce and ribeye came out wrong and well done. I couldn't even get a water refill.
