hot damn, that was a good breakfast!
    P L.

Quintessential diner brilliance. Oh man, this checked all the boxes. crispy hash browns, diner mug, crisp bacon, funky bread that's kind of warped and lathered sporadically with butter, ca couple little plastic tubs of jam, and the requisite little glass salt and pepper shakers that no doubt are pre WWII. Great classic diner breakfast, kind service, clean restroom, quiet and sweet. New favorite, and staple for when I'm working in Stockton.

    Bad food

Food was absolutely terrible. Bacon burnt, hash browns wet and runny, not crispy. Eggs bland. Waitress was very rude. She overcharged us and became very annoyed when it was brought up.

    Full excellent.

Best French toast I've had out. Friend had the Denver omelet. Best she's had. Fresh without being over cooked. Chicken fried steak was good and the gravy was the bomb. Service was great. 4 stars only because where it's located. Park in the back.

ABC scramble. Eggs weren't properly scrambled and were over cooked. Crispy hash browns.

Good menu. Food was good. A little pricey, but with the tariffs, where isn't? Service was good.

Look at receipt and for a can soda $3.50 U think they do that so you won't ask for a refill and just charge you for another can of Coke. Wow!! talk about gouging... If I knew I would have sent my plate back for them to fix it. No complaint about the service. Our waitress was very helpful attentive, although should be trained to talk about up charges on anything on their menu. My other concern is that the plates that they serve on are made of Mexican pottery clay and were very porous I know some clay pottery had a problem with lead poisoning exposure I'm just saying on the other hand the atmosphere is chill and facility is clean located downtown Stockton right by the movie theaters I always like to mention in my Post about the facility and the cleanliness. The bathrooms are also immaculate.

Aaliyah greeted us as soon as we walked in and directed us towards our table. Coincidentally, she was also our server. It was like we knew her for years. Aaliyah was friendly and attentive. We started with the mimosa flights. We couldn't decide on flavors, however, Aaliyah picked a variety of flavors for us, so we were covered. The food came out hot! I had the meat lover skillet with eggs over-easy. The eggs were cooked perfect. The warm yolk added to the flavorful meat and smothered potatoes. René had the chicken and waffles. The chicken was juicy and tender. Next time we'll ask for a side of sauce because it's so good that we needed more than provided, at least for us. One thing we noticed was that every customer was happy. Maybe the other customers were regulars there but this was our first time and we were treated like we were regulars. I think it just says something about the attention to customer service. Toward the end of our visit, "B" one of Sheila's daughters, came out to check on us. Again, it was like talking to a long time friend. Well, it turns out Sheila B'Z is a family business - - everyone working was family, including those working the food truck at an event today. I love that. We will totally be back!

My friend wanted to come here before there was a location in Lodi where we live. I have to admit,…read moreshe is less picky than I am. She ordered the fish tacos. I guess she liked that they came stacked high with all kinds of stuff. I couldn't find anything that really spoke to me. I generally want a simpler kind of dish. Not a big fan of places that dress their dishes up with things like pickled onions and mystery house sauces. So I got a burger, hoping it would be a big juicy not over cooked burger like you used to be able to get. I had to customize it a lot though. You always have to cross your finger that they will get it right when you do that. Well she liked her tacos and my burger was ok. Not worth the money. Expensive place for every day food that's just sort of dressed up with stuff you can do without. Quality was generally good. Kind of a dumpy lot to be located in, but that's Stockton for ya. I don't remember much about the service or the ambiance so they must have been ok. Probably not going back tho. I can get a better burger with less fuss for a better price just about anywhere. That said, you don't go to these types of places for a burger, you get them when you're dragged there. All in all, I wish that there were more family owned operations locally that just had good food and good prices and good service. Too many places that are either complete garbage or trying to be super high end in basically run down towns.

Super yummy! I…read moredecided to try Cast Iron after having it recommended to me by a coworker. It was great! I ordered the Chicken Thang with a side of garlic fries. The sandwich was thick with the juiciest chicken. I loved the garlic fries. They were super garlicky with a crispy cheese on top. The fries are thin and crinkle cut. They were the perfect mix of crispy yet juicy. One thing to note, if you order for pickup, make sure to arrive promptly because the food can get pretty soggy otherwise. The side sauce was pretty good too. I wish there was an online substitution option though because I'd prefer something like ranch instead. This spot's prices are a touch higher compared to restaurants in the area but the quality and portions really justify it. The employees are incredibly kind. When I stopped by to pickup my order, there was an employee cleaning the outside patio who immediately stopped what she was doing to open the door for me, went inside and washed her hands before even handing me the bag. The small details like this really make the experience so much better. It is especially reassuring to see how sanitary they are here too. Despite looking a bit small from the outside, it it quite spacious and modern inside. It has that modern hipster restaurant feel. On a warm day, it would be nice to sit under their covered patio. I will be returning to try more of their menu!
