I usually don't like spicy food, but this burger had just the right amount of heat without being overwhelming. Overall, the food was enjoyable, but between the long wait, the incorrect order, and the portion size for the price, the experience was a bit hit-or-miss. I had an absolutely terrible experience at The Kroft's Long Beach location, and I would strongly advise against dining there. The service was incredibly poor, and it was largely due to the behavior of our server, Natalie C. From the moment we ordered, she was rude and dismissive, and it was clear that she had no interest in making our dining experience a pleasant one. To make matters worse, the other staff members who were handing out the orders were also rude and unprofessional. They seemed to be annoyed by our presence, and they made no effort to hide it. The entire staff seemed to be more interested in chatting with each other than providing good service to their customers. Despite the terrible service we received, I decided to leave a tip, as I usually do. However, looking back on it, I regret doing so. The service we received was so poor that it did not deserve any kind of gratuity. As for the food, it was good but it certainly did not make up for the terrible service we received. Overall, I cannot recommend The Kroft's Long Beach location. The rude and unprofessional behavior of Natalie C and the other staff members made it a waste of time and money. If you are looking for a good dining experience, you should look elsewhere. read more

I recently had the opportunity to try the Loco Moco poutine and Chicken Tikka Masala poutine at Kroft and I thoroughly enjoyed both dishes. The Loco Moco poutine consisted of a generous portion of crispy french fries topped with a flavorful ground beef patty, a sunny-side up egg, and a rich gravy. There were fried onions as well. The combination of the savory beef and egg with the creamy gravy was a perfect match for the crispy fries, and the entire dish was a delight to eat. The chicken tikka masala poutine was also a fantastic option. The tender pieces of chicken were coated in a rich masala sauce, which went perfectly with the crispy fries. The dish was finished off with a sprinkle of fresh cilantro, adding a burst of fresh flavor to the mix. Overall, I would highly recommend this place and both the loco moco poutine and the chicken tikka masala poutine to anyone looking for a unique and delicious twist on traditional poutine. The flavors were spot on and the dishes were incredibly satisfying. My only qualm is that they were pretty pricey, coming to almost $15 per order after taxes. I finally tried The Kroft at the LBX Hangar after seeing their Wagyu smash burger advertised. I went with the Peanut Butter & Jelly Wagyu Smash Burger and added garlic fries on the side. Honestly, I was disappointed. The burger didn't look anything like the photo -- it looked dry and wasn't very juicy. The PB&J flavor was there, but it didn't do much for me. It felt more like a novelty than something I'd want to eat again. The garlic fries were the worst part -- soggy, limp, and lacking flavor. I ate a few and gave up. Overall, I give this place a 5 out of 10. Not terrible, but definitely not worth the hype. Maybe it used to be better, but based on my experience, I won't be rushing back. read more

The Kroft is dangerously good comfort food. The cheese curds are elite -- crispy, cheesy perfection and honestly the main character every time I go. But I'm still campaigning for the return of the Flaming Hot cheese curds because those were on another level. Please bring them back immediately. And the porchetta sandwich? Absolutely ridiculous in the best way. Tender, flavorful, perfectly messy -- the kind of sandwich that makes you stop talking after the first bite. The place was kind of busy, but we were seated right away. It was a decent sized interior with seating for maybe 30-40 people(?). Our server was friendly and attentive. Food seemed to take a little longer to come out of the kitchen. The food looked good and was okay. Nothing exciting or spectacular on their breakfast menu. Portions were large and leftovers were taken home. Hubby was sad his hot chocolate was not full, was warm in temperature, and only got colder because of all the whipped cream on top. I think my Cali ABC juice was the best! That is definitely something to try.
