During Construction review. (April 2026) My friends and I stopped in on a Monday night. 2 vegans 1 omnivore Spoiler alert: my burger was perfectly messy. PARKING plenty of parking in the lot. Or take metro. It goes eight by here. SERVICE Monday. There was only one person working tonight when we arrived. She was cooking and prepping fries and tots. But prep was fast (see ORDERING below) PRICE Lower than average vegan. FOOD BBQ Burger. WAIT A MINUTE. WAIT WAIT WAIT. yes I forgot to take photos. But the burgers looked LEGIT EXACTLY like their menu photos, but in reality EVEN BIGGER. ? Ok...... BBQ BURGER with onion rings and bacon. IT GETS ALL OVER YOU. so good. I wanted to eat two, but I had trouble finishing one. (With fries) BREAKFAST BURGER EGG/TOTS My (V) friend loved it. (Just Egg) cooked so well. SPICY CHICKEN My omnivore friend said it wasn't "that" spicy. But good. Fries: mine delicious. Sweet potato fries (they ate all of theirs) looked good. The 1,000 island is thick and good on everything. (Fries+burger) SEATING Two tables are inside. Wooden Bench and metal chairs are not uncomfortable. But the sun shines directly INTO you in the afternoon. Looks like they're going through some construction right now. ORDERING pretty obvious when you walk in. NO CASH There is a kiosk to place your order and pay by credit card or app. Super easy. BATHROOM (-1) there is no public bathroom. To wash/clean your burger mitts, you'll need to use a bunch of napkins. Not optimal. I don't need to pee, but I want to drive without "burgering" my steering wheel. (Although might be worth it) SPARE TENGUI? BONUS POINTS IYKYK

I already cannot wait to go back!!! It was soooo good!!! The food was so delicious. Not very often I get to eat chili cheese fries so this was extra special. The food came out in a timely manner. I do like the self service order kiosk. It was a small location but it wasn't too busy so it was perfect when I went .

Another star off: Wanted to really support this place because I love their vegan burgers. This time we had two one offs; 1. My burger took more than 20 mins/felt like 25-30. I ordered my usual breakfast sandwich and would drive from Torrance. It took waaaaay toooooo lonnnng. 2. On top of this, the cashier/male and cook/female were going at it in the kitchen. They both were not having a good evening and kept jabbing and saying unprofessional things to each other. This really brought a negative expierence. It was a double whammy of let downs combo to go. Would I recommend this place?? Would you? Hope they can make this right the next time I visit. As a business owner myself, customer service and experience is key for retention. Staff needs training!! Period.

Very little decor but the food makes up for it!

A vegan from VA has made it to the west coast! Everyone tells me the vegan food here is better, I'm about to find... OK, I'm back! I ate what looked like a Big Mac and a Filet-o-Fish with a side of wings instead of fries. The Big Mac-type burger (called the Big Guy) was top tier! It's messy; the burger slides on the lettuce and thousand island dressing making a mess, but it's a mess that will make you lick every finger to savor the flavor. The Fish Filet was good, but once you taste the Bug Guy, flavor wise, it could not hold up. It was just OK in comparison. The epic fail were the wings! They LOOK the part, but we ordered Lemon Pepper as our wing sauce (it's a dry rub, by the way) and it fell flat. If you are a true vegan, then you know nutritional yeast has this medicinal flavor on the back end. No matter how you try to mask it, nutritional yeast tastes like you are sucking on a gauze pad. That's all you taste with these lemon pepper wings. One bite and I had to spit the out. The meat of the wing was too dense and thick for me. I will not order them again. Perhaps with a wet sauce, it could taste better. Now for the service and ambiance--there is none. In fact, when we walked in NO ONE even came up front. Good thing we weren't thieves--we could have robbed them blind. Eventually, a young lady came up front, made our food and didn't say A SINGLE WORD. She didn't talk, welcome us here, have any cordial conversation--nothing. That was disheartening. She didn't even inquire if we liked the food or not;her vibe was definitely "they pay me to work here...not LIKE working here." This VA VEGAN will return for the burger; I might even try the chicken sandwich next--it really looks good in the photo. I would ask the server he thoughts on something else to order, but she has not even returned to the front.

The bbq bacon burger is delicious, everything is made to order. The onion rings and fries are crispy, the patties are likely beyond meat. A solid burger, coming from a non-vegan staff was really nice

Came here on a friday afternoon and I literally could not believe that the gorgina meal they served me was 100% vegan, it was THAT good. I mean, I really think the photos speak for themselves, but I will say that Nice Burger was empty, service was fast but not sus-fast (if you know what I mean) and we had a super relaxing meal. I think this might be a new Long Beach staple for me! I'll absolutely be back next Friday, and probably the Saturday after that ;)

I finally tried Nice Burgers in Long Beach. It's a 100% vegan burger place. I stopped during breakfast time. I ordered a sausage muffin. It had cheese and egg on it. It was just a simple sandwich, but it was my first time trying, so I was like, cool. oh I had a side of tater tots also. That sandwich was so good. It was no-frills, but it was so good, and all the flavors just flowed together. I wasn't acting like a 7-year-old and picking anything off, and I wasn't mad that I didn't have condiments. It was so good. Oh, I did have chipotle sauce, which I dipped the tater tots in Emoji That sandwich hit the spot. I don't have any complaints. I even like the egg which I don't normally get involved with because I didn't eat eggs before becoming vegan or plant-based so when I placed the order, I said, "Half the egg", in my head, I was thinking OK I'll just remove it, bc I don't need them to waste a lot of their product. Let me tell you that egg was right on, right on. It was very good and just the right amount for me and the muffin was really good. Also, I mean I would love to know just what each product is from but I won't even ask. It was really good. I don't want to take away the sales. Usually, I only enjoy my homemade sausage muffin, but I could see myself ordering this one again soon, probably after January fasting.

This place was Nice! I was greeted by a warm welcome upon entry. There is an ordering kiosk which was great to explore menu options as well as a cashier taking orders. The vegan spicy chicken sandwich (burger?) was absolutely delicious. There was a hint of nuttiness that I couldn't pinpoint to the sesame, but was a pleasant compliment to the overall enjoyment of the sandwich. This is one of the best vegan chicken patties I've come across, just a tad below par from Monty's for reference. The buffalo and honey mustard sauces were great paired with this. I found myself mixing both and adding to each bite. I had a short conversation with the cashier after in hopes that more locations are slated for expansion further west into the South Bay. I will be back, Nice Burger is one of the best vegan establishments around!

I don't recommend the smash style burger because it's smaller and doesn't come with the fixings, but if that's your thing than by all means enjoy. I got the backyard bbq burger and it was very tasty. Not the best I've ever had but it definitely hits the spot and prices are not bad at all here. If I happen to be in the area again I would definitely be down to phone in my order and pickup for takeout to enjoy the tastiness somewhere I feel a little more comfortable. Staff was also very friendly - when they could be seen at least, but it was one cashier/server with two guys in the kitchen and although it's a small hole in the wall place there is still plenty to do if you're understaffed so I'm not even mad about it. I started with a cup of their beef and barley soup. My wife and I both make this at home from scratch and we're both impressed by theirs. My wife took a taste of mine and instantly ordered her own. Very rich and flavorful. I kept looking at photos of their take on chicken and waffles and knew I had to try it. Seriously epic and was good as it looked. They coated the chicken in a chili rub that gave it a sweet and spicy flavor when paired with their maple syrup. Served on top of a waffle and topped with an egg. I loved it and would probably order again on my next visit. My wife had the American plate which was your classic eggs, bacon, potatoes, and sourdough toast combo. High quality ingredients elevated it beyond your typical diner food. Drinks were great too. I had their house made bloody mary which had a nice kick to it. My wife had their brunch version of a Corpse Reviver cocktail. After our meals were done we finished with an Irish coffee since everyone was ordering them. It's about how management handled it. We made a reservation three days in advance to watch the Mexico World Cup match. We arrived 10 min early to our reservation in anticipation of the crowds. We received confirmation by both email and text, but when we arrived, we were told there was no reservation and "nothing they could do." Despite showing proof of our confirmed reservation, they refused to honor it and told us there were no tables available. Seconds later, another group walked up and asked to join the waitlist, and he gladly added them. I then asked why we couldn't be added--considering we had a confirmed reservation--and only then did he put us on the list. When a restaurant makes a mistake, the bare minimum is trying to make it right. We should have been given priority on the waitlist. Instead, after nearly two hours of waiting, we were still ninth in line even though the wait time for our table size showed 0 minutes. We left without ever being seated. Thankfully before the match began, we walked over to Broken Spirits (5 min walk away) where they seated us within 15 minutes and even gave us complimentary drinks to celebrate the game. The difference in hospitality was incredible. This wasn't my first disappointing experience here, either. On a previous visit, I waited outside to be seated for so long that I eventually gave up and seated myself at the bar. To make matters worse, the food and drinks don't justify the price. Cocktails are around $20, filled with ice, and underwhelming. As a customer, I left Ordinarie feeling dismissed and disrespected. Between the poor service, overpriced menu, and management's complete lack of accountability, I won't be returning. If you're in the DTLB area, I would recommend better drinks/better service at Broken Spirits or Midnight Oil :)

Go right at the bottom of the stairs and there is a little walkway where you see a very cool tiki display. It you stay there long enough, the lights will flash and you will hear thunder. Walk a little further and go through the door to enter. I was blown away by the atmosphere and build. Kudos to Bamboo Ben! It is dimly lit with a ton of cave wall, bamboo, thatch, netting, tiki lights, floats, skulls, tikis, and other décor. The bar is loaded with bottles and looks great with dark blue and green backlighting. The bar top is wood with deep cutouts that are filled with clear epoxy. The booths in the main dining area are little tiki huts and even have clouds overhead. There was great tiki music playing the whole time. A few times an hour a thunderstorm hits. The lights dim, lightning flashes with thunder sound effects, and red lights illuminate cracks in the floor that looks like lava veins. There is also a photo-op "Pele's Throne" which is a big lava rock surrounded chair. We sat at the bar and had the coconut shrimp appetizer ($12). The shrimp were breaded and cooked well, and had a coconut sprinkle on top. The spicy dipping sauce complemented the shrimp well. I started out with the Drunken Monkey (Makers Mark 46, Jamaican rum, banana liqueur, cinnamon, allspice, Angostura bitters, normally $19, $17 during happy hour). It was somewhat bourbon forward with a little funk from the Jamaican rum. I definitely got the cinnamon notes with a little banana and allspice in the background. She started out with the El Capitan Hook (Del Maguey mezcal, pineapple, banana liqueur, Luxardo cherry liqueur, lime, $17, $15 during happy hour). This was smoke forward with light pineapple and banana flavor. I had the Hula burger ($18) which was very good with a lot of different flavors from the various toppings. It came with a decent amount of fries, and was a filling plate. She had the pineapple bowl fried rice and added with BBQ pork ($17 + $5 for pork add-on). It is served in half of a scooped out pineapple and had a good amount of rice with pork and green onions on top. It had a good mix of teriyaki sauce on the rice and BBQ sauce on the pork. Next, I had the Rum Runner (coconut and blended dark rums, banana liqueur, raspberry, grenadine, pineapple, orange, lime, $18, $15 during happy hour). It was very pineapple and coconut forward which overpowered all of the other ingredients. She also had the Let That ManGo (white rhum agricole, coconut, mango, lemon, $18, $16 during happy hour). The primary flavors here were mango with some grassiness from the agricole. We were here from about 6pm to 8pm on a Wednesday night and it was pretty dead with only a few other people in the place the whole time. They do have a stage in the back with live music acts, so it is probably busier when there is entertainment and on weekends. Our first bartender was Alex who was nice but we barely talked with him. Manager Pedro took over the bartender duties later on and we had a great time chatting with him. Service was great from both of them. The drinks are a few dollars above average, but if you come during happy hour, the drinks are several dollars off. Happy hour is currently all day Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday, and Thursday through Saturday from 5pm to 8pm. The food was good, the drinks were ok to good, and the atmosphere was great. Normally, this would probably be a one and done, but I really liked the build and would like to come back when it is busier, maybe on a weekend.
