    Dirty Pepperoni

I have been seeing this pizzeria for awhile now on social media and have been looking forward to trying it. Had lunch with a buddy and wanted to grab as slice and catch a World Cup game. The hostess/owner I believe was this kind and sweet woman who was eager to seat us and give us the BEST possible service you can ask for. She shared the story of the humble pizzeria. The establishment itself was gorgeous and featured two levels of roomy space that also does group parties. The pizza itself is delicious! Along the homemade sauces the hostess said were made in house. The quality of ingredients were top tier. We stayed for a while and it started to get fairly busy for the dinner hour. I am truly looking forward to visiting Dirty Pepperoni again. And to the kind hostess; thank you for being genuine and sharing your love for pizza and people!

We had an great experience at Dirty Pepperoni! Located in downtown Long Beach, it was the perfect choice for us after a night out at Disney on Ice, at the Long Beach Arena. The staff was super welcoming and provided great service throughout our visit. A special shoutout to Lorraine (hope I spelled her name right), who truly went above and beyond to make our time there pleasant. Her A1 customer service and genuine hospitality made such a big difference. The food did not disappoint at all. We ordered a personal pizza with olives and sausage for our baby girl, and it was perfect. She gave it a 29 out of 10 lol! My husband and I shared a pepperoni and sausage pizza with light garlic sauce, topped with a hot honey drizzle and ranch. It was absolutely delicious. Their hot honey has a thicker honey like consistency with a nice kick, unlike other hot honey sauces I am used to that are thinner and more like hot sauce with a honey flavor. I was initially a little skeptical, but it ended up being the perfect addition to the pizza. The thin crust was perfectly cooked and had just the right balance of crisp and chew. We also tried the Linden salad, which was fresh and flavorful, packed with yummy veggies and Canadian bacon. The house rose gold ranch was unique and delicious.Beautifully pink and tasty! We were craving their delicious pizza the next day and only wished this spot was closer to us, but we will definitely be coming back. Only downside was the fountain drinks were out of order this night. But they still had plenty of can soda options as well as a full bar with beer on tap. Otherwise, highly recommend for great food, great people, and a great vibe! They are also open late which makes it a great spot to stop at for food after a night on the town!

Dirty Pepperoni 5/5 - thin crispy crust and I liked that there was a little burn in the pepperonis Dirty Caesar salad 3.5/5 - the dressing was a little lacking in flavor but overall a decent Caesar salad 5/5 ambiance - limited seating indoors but lots of outside seating with half of the area with heat lamps and the other side without. 5/5 customer service - great friendly and amazing staff

Just for pizza 5 stars. Keep thinking about this pizza. I already want to go back!!! Late night vibe poppin. Our waiter was great but the wait time was terrible. Got our wings waaay after our pizza. Our pizza took almost 45 min to get out. Definitely call to pick up. Like most of Long Beach, parking is rough but it's worth it. Dirty Pepperoni Pizza -- it's not grease it's hot honey! Sooo fricking delicious. New York style and the flavor bussin! Between 2 of us there was no leftovers. Buffalo Wings -- big decent size but a little on the dry side (inside the chicken). Sauced down which I loved. Pretty acidic which wasn't for me. Fountain drinks had hella options too plus beer on tap! This a win for Long Beach.

We stopped here for some dinner, we were sat pretty quickly. The dirty pepperoni pizza was so good. The hot honey on top was delicious. I liked the option of fountain sodas. The agave vanilla cream soda was my favorite one out of the two I tried. The Korean BBQ wings were also very good. The inside was nice, kind of a bar style scene and good music. It was a fun relaxing place to eat.

Oh boy. I have been wanting to try this pizza place for a hot minute now. Of course I choose a Friday night where it's going to be busy. But that's the fun of it. I ordered a half pepperoni half Hawaiian pizza and an order of buffalo wings. The pepperoni pizza def hit, but the part that got to me was that the dough felt very chewy. Like I had to pull away quite a bit after biting because it just felt.. stretchy & chewy. So the dough wasn't my favorite part. Pineapple does not belong on pizza so I didn't try that side. The pink ranch was cute, I def tasted garlic notes so I kept the vampires away. The wings-- dry as hell. Drrrryyyyy. Like Mojave desert, Death Valley, sand dunes dry. Just looking at them I was like wow. I'm not excited to try this. But here we are. Never reordering. I personally wasn't the one to order and get the pizza to comment on service or the ambiance. It's in DTLB, so go figure, there's 0 parking if you plan on dining in, otherwise throw those hazards on and pick up your order (which is what I did). I do plan on giving this spot a second chance, I'll have to try it in person next time. But as a takeout experience for food--- meh.

Dirty Pepperoni is my new favorite pizza place in long Beach! I've been going here since they opened and their pizza is fantastic! The vibes are excellent, great place for a date. Everyone that works here is incredibly sweet, they get to know you and always make the experience a pleasure. I never really got out of my house much before I discovered this spot, and now I'm walking here a couple times a week! Thank you everyone at Dirty Pepperoni!

A pizza place within walking distance of me? Say no more! Dirty Pepperoni serves up my new favorite calzones and hot honey pizza - and I've yet to try their sandwiches, but am sure I'll love those too. I usually end up asking for a medium Dirty Pepperoni pizza with the pink garlic dipping sauce, absolutely scrumptious. I like that their crust isn't too heavy, and slices pull apart easily. They even have a late night personal pizza for $10 at 10pm. Dangerous, in the most delicious way possible :) Restaurant is located on the corner of Broadway and Linden Ave., which I believe has free parking after 6pm. Inside, be seated at the bar, a table, or the balcony which can be rented for group events. The poured acrylic floor is a fun aesthetic and my favorite thing is how you're able to peek into the kitchen from the outside and watch them cut the pizza pies with a huge blade! I typically order takeout, but have found service here to be phenomenal as well! The last time, they even offered my rescue dog Darby a couple slices of pepperoni (which he was all too happy to accept). Come for lunch or dinner - everything's good!

Dirty pepperoni is the newest pizza spot in the DTLB area (which always makes things fun). They are soft opened so everything I mention may change later. The vibe is very city, moto, almost New York (but not with the pizza). There's even a motorcycle parked up on the loft above. The menu for dinner had a lot of things crossed off including salads, their popular sandwich, wings, Mexican coca cola (which is a big hit), and had scribbles from alcohol not being available to having available written. Once a menu is ironed out, there probably will be a beer list somewhere besides looking over at taps. My SO and I shared a medium dirty pepperoni pizza, and each had our own can of soda. The pepperoni on the pizza was great, the hot honey drizzle was a sweet play with the pepperoni. The pizza was thin crust, and cleverly served on a serving tray with tiny holes which I'm guessing helps prevent it from sitting in its own grease entirely. The thing is, even as eaten as quickly as we went after it, it started sagging and folding downwards. The tip to eat this is fast, and to fold it. Seating wise, I believe there's room for 18 in total indoors unless you sit at the bar. The loft above is a no-go. There's two couches to sit at but no tables, so maybe it's a good spot to lounge with a beer. Service for us was quick and sweet. I forgot our waitresses name but she checked in. I did notice that tables finished their entire pints before getting their pies so this may be a point that still has some ironing out to do (growing pains are part of the process). After everything, we still left hungry. A medium super thin crust pizza can go down pretty easy. That makes this spot probably best for lunch IMO. It was $29 with change in total ($22 for the pie, $2.50 each can of soda, and tax). I know the pizza around here is competitive; this price range is difficult for what it is (and it pains me to say this knowing the rent here must be astronomical). Maybe they can figure out a deal with the blind donkey or something, or get a soda machine to make things a little easier. Idk. I may return because the salads actually looked tasty.

Learned about this new pizza place in DTLB from fellow Yelpers that I met recently at the LB Yelpies. It opened in October and is still in the soft opening phase. It has a small, focused menu, centered around a very good thin crust pizza. I hadn't taken a long downtown walk in a while, so decided to walk the eleven blocks or so to pick up a variety of items and bring it back for lunch. My wife and her mother agreed: everything was tasty. I arrived a little before 11, and the doors opened promptly. Lorraine was manning the front with the chef/co-owner manning the back. She explained that the ovens hadn't been fully warmed up yet, so would take 20 minutes before they could start baking. Wasn't a problem for me, so placed and paid for my order, re-confirming that it was a carry-out. She warmed up quite a bit as I waited, offering me a complementary beverage (got some fruit infused water) and giving off better vibes for receptiveness of questions. I was admiring the 12 taps built into the backwall, and she pointed me towards the nitro tap that currently spews Modern Times Nitro Cold Brew...pretty sure my wife would love that (with me gravitating towards the cervezas and Blue Moon). The items came out as they were finished, with the calzone first, sandwich second, and the medium pizza last. I had to try a slice of the pizza immediately, and it was excellent: thin crust but solid enough to be crispy in the middle and hold as much toppings as possible. The dough was quite good by itself. Ended up eating another pizza slice before heading off as the world's slowest pizza delivery guy. It took a while to get home, because I wanted to stop by a nearby bakery to pick up their happy hours specials at noon (reconfirming my initial reaction that that bakery is not a place for me). Medium Dirty Pepperoni ($21.99) - really good quality spicy pepperoni, very tasty but not overly greasy (no need to blot out the grease on top with a paper towel)...would be perfect on top of a Detroit style. The crust was still good, but had gotten a little soggy. This is a pizza that needs to be consumed as soon as possible. Dirty Pastrami Sandwich ($16.80) - the other menu item mentioned frequently in reviews. It uses a freshly baked flatbread made from the same pizza dough. It's a well constructed sandwich, with a lot of pickles and banana peppers if you like a lot of vinegar on your sandwich (which I do). The quality and quantity of the pastrami was just OK, though. Calzone with two toppings ($17.50) - made with the same pizza dough, this was disappointing, especially for the price. The dough is better when cooked thin, and has enough heft to support a lot more filling than what this had. Been searching for a really good calzone since my college days, and this wasn't it. There's some good online articles about the trio that are the proprietors. It's a good story, adding to the mystique/origin of locally owned pizza joints and doing a good job of explaining why we should be supporting this business. They don't offer pizza by the slice, so need to bring some friends and have pizza and beer on-site, and devour that great pizza. Note: I carried the pizza box (along with the sandwiches in my backpack) while walking back to my home...got more than one shoutout across the street from local denizens asking for/demanding the leftovers...either word about the quality of this pizza has gotten around or the homeless are becoming even more brazen.

Visually, the burger was impressive and looked exactly like something you'd want to dig into. However, the salt level was overwhelming to the point where I genuinely could not finish it. What made matters worse was that our server was not attentive with refilling our waters, and when you're working through an extremely salty dish, hydration isn't optional. I left the meal feeling dehydrated and honestly a little frustrated. The bright spot of the visit was the Brussels sprouts, which were genuinely well done and showed some real kitchen care. If I were to return, I'd probably stick to the vegetable sides. For a restaurant with a 4 PM lull and minimal table traffic, there's no excuse for that level of inattentiveness. A simple water refill and a quick check in would have saved the experience. As it stands, the combination of an over salted entrée and absent service made for a tough sell on the value. If you're in the area craving a burger, you might want to save your money and head down the street to Louis Burger instead. Ellie's may shine in other areas; I've heard good things about the pasta, but this particular visit missed the mark.

Overall, it was solid--sauce had good flavor, cheese was decent, and the dough was nice. Nothing mind-blowing, but definitely a respectable slice. My only issue was the balance--there was a bit too much cheese for the crust, so even folding it New York-style, it didn't hold up well and kind of fell apart. A little more crisp on the bottom would've made a big difference. I also tried their Sicilian grandma-style focaccia pizza, and honestly, that was a huge letdown. It had this dusty, raw flour taste right away, was dry and spongy, and way overpowered with Parmesan. It just didn't come together at all--pretty disappointing, especially for the price. I've had frozen pizza that tasted better. Ended up just picking at the cheese to salvage something. On the plus side, the service was friendly and the space itself is chill--nice casual vibe with a few tables inside and outside to hang out. All in all, the regular slice was decent, but the focaccia pizza really missed the mark for me. Probably not a spot I'd go back to.

After a quick perusal, I thought the Peruvian Steak sandwich best whet my appetite. Peruvian Steak sandwich- Spicy aji amarillo marinated steak with Oaxacan cheese, herb aioli, red onions, tomatoes, shredded romaine on a toasted potato roll. I quite liked this. Tender steak, with fatty cheese. The vegetables provided contrast & texture. For my purchase, I went with a side of Southern Potato Salad. It was good, but similar to grocery deli potato salad. In hindsight, I should've purchased avocado added to my Peruvian Steak sandwich. Service was excellent. All hands were on deck, as Mendocino Farms opened only a few days prior. Each employee had a name badge, specifying their name & which entree was their favorite, helping indecisive customers choose what to get. Plenty of seating indoors & al fresco. Parking is at LBX, with Mendocino Farms being across Georgia's and facing the Hangar at LBX. I found the Peruvian Steak sandwich delicious, yet meager in quantity, considering the regular price. It's more of a substantial snack, than a full meal, in my case. However, it's great to have another quality food option in the area, and I look forward to coming back & exploring the rest of menu.

Not too acidic, not too sweet, not too salty. It dressed the bowl up real nice. The salmon was tender, nicely cooked, not chewy-- I hate when I get cheewwwyyy salmon I want fish not gum. The rice and sweet potatoes were perfect! Absolutely a nice bed made for the salmon to lay on. I tried the Shirley temple it's way too sweet, more grenadine than anythang. I just optd for half unsweetened tea & half of their lemonade. It was average. The cranberry cookie was pretty good! Not something I usually lean towards but I was wowd to taste how good it was. Cranberry gave it that nice kick of tang on your tongue. Service was friendly, I ordered through the kiosk screen. It's clean inside and in the restroom as well. Plenty of parking in the plaza.
