    Tasty salad

This is a nice comedy club and we really enjoyed seeing a show here. We came to the early show so there was plenty of parking behind Zaines, but we could see that it would fill up quick for the later shows. We had drinks and food and service was good throughout the night. My wife had the Lab Rat cocktail that she really liked and I had TN Brew Works beer, which is always good. We also ordered salads with grilled chicken and they were tasty and very filling. We saw a great show that night (Gus Constantellis) and we enjoyed coming here overall!

The Lab at Zanie's is a new extension of Zanie's which features more local acts. The setting is intimate but offers a great view of the main stage no matter where you're seated. They have a two item minimum per guest, same as the main venue. The food was so good, so plan to arrive when doors open to get your order in. The food arrives fast! My favorite was the Cobb Salad (Comedy Cobb) with chicken and blue cheese dressing. I can't wait to see another show!

Pizza, buffalo dip, cookie with ice cream

We were pleasantly surprised by the food at The Lab! The pizza was delicious, as was the buffalo dip. Service was super prompt. It's very clean inside, albeit a bit tight unless you score a seat in the back. My only critiques are that (1) I prefer buffalo dip with tortilla or pita chips over greasy chips, and (2) the cookie was *very* overbaked and hard, so dessert was a bummer. However, still a super strong menu lineup, and we're excited to go back again soon. The pizza and buffalo dip were fantastic and we had a great time. Mocktails were also great!

Had a blast here - great venue- fun times! The staff was very attentive as well :) the venue sits about 100 people and was perfect for intimate comedy.

We absolutely loved hearing the people behind the music in such an intimate venue. There is ample room in the theater for seating and dining. The food was very reasonably priced and good quality. They have a limited staff, please don't expect typical dining experiences. Atmosphere (5/5): A cozy, yet vibrant setting. Sound resonated well throughout the theater and not many bad seats to see the stage. Price (5/5): Admission was about $20 per person a food ranges from $10 - $50. They do require a table minimum of 15 per person that needs to go towards drinks or food. Food (4/5): Food quality was decent. The bread on the turkey sandwich was a little dry, while the onions rings were a little soggy. Service (4/5): They do work on a limited staff and each of them are artists. It can take a minute to order and get your food but they have a lot of people.

Gayle, Jim, Erin, and I were here at the 6 PM show on 4/29/26 that featured Jason Duke, Keesy Trimmer, and Chris Bondi. We actually met Keesy when we were walking to the venue as his car pulled up and he asked if we were heading to the Listening Room? When we said yes, he was very excited. We were too at the end of the evening, with all of us agreeing that this was one of, if not the highlight of our trip to Nashville. The Listening Room itself is a large and acoustically solid room within what looked like an old International Harvester Farm Equipment Building. Food and Drink are served and I believe there was a minimum in addition to the admission price. This is normally not a place that you can walk in, so buy your tickets early. We found the food to be "adequate", the service very good, and a 5 Star show experience. Each songwriter took turns with a number, explained some background on it, name dropped artists who recorded their songs, and told some great stories. It seems like the Nashville songwriting community knows each other well, which might explain the easy familiarity all 3 had with each other and their individual song writing efforts. We might have related to Chris Bondi a little more, especially after singing the "I Bet You Would Have Loved Her" tear jerker, and a really funny one on getting high while skiing. Keesy had a great one about a boat and "Time Makes Money Look Cheap" cowritten by him and others and recorded by Chris Janson. Jason Duke showcased "Dibs" that was recorded by Kelsea Ballerini. Or was it "That Could Still Be Us" performed by Keith Urban? Our only regret was that tickets were still available for the 9 PM show (with a new songwriting team) and we passed it up. Post Note: Gayle's song title idea for Keesy: Don't go Puking on my Boots. :)

YOU WILL NOT REGRET SEEING THIS TROUPE…read more Seriously - they are not only hilarious, but super fun people! High energy, while at the same time low key and intimate performances with smaller crowds. They can take literally any suggestion and make it incredible - and they will almost never go in the direction you think they will! Date night, team building, work friends night out, non work friends night out...even family night out - they try to keep it PG/PG-13, and still kill it! For real though, why are you still reading this review? Go buy your tickets to their next show!!!!

This is probably the best improv I have ever seen in my life (tied with Upright Citizen's Brigade…read morein New York City). Where as some improv shows can really be awkward with poor taste or just niche jokes (AKA: beating to death sex jokes), this group really has insanely amazing creativity. What I really like about this is that every show is tons of group participation and the stage is small, so there really is no such thing as a bad show. Oh, yes and they always take advantage of the opportunity to add some Nashville flair in it (AKA: local knowledge), just to give it a home town touch. Trust me, it is worth every penny of the 10 dollar ticket (got it, in LA there are 3 dollar improv shows... but this is better than them all!).

For a bachelor party, one of the guys booked tickets for us to go to a show. I personally knew none of the lineup that was performing throughout the evening but still wanted to go and check this out anyways. Walking up to the place, nothing too special. As you got closer, the flair started to show of how great this place is. Then walking in....WOW! Not what I expected at all. The decor is incredible. It's so hard to explain so you have to see it for yourself. Likewise when you get in to your seats (we were on the first level), sitting down to look at the stage is just something so unique and different from a typical music venue. Usually the shows are broadcasted live to a radio station, so they really put out a good show each night. You could lightly talk to people around you during the shows, so it wasn't incredibly loud like most places. The lights that were behind the different performers felt so nice on your eyes too. Everyone sounded great and the last guy had been performing for over 50 years! They still brought him out and he put on a heck of a closing performance! It was sad to walk out of this place. My friends felt the same way, we did a lap of the place and stuck around in the gift shop for a bit to continue absorbing the evening. We still even stood outside for a while taking pictures. The Grand Ole Opry...is something! Words can barely describe this place. You have to see it yourself, pictures don't do the justice.

Can accommodate lots of country music fans (and tourists); and at least the truly grand old Ryman continues to host many wonderful shows. Warning for those staying at the Gaylord and walking over to the Opry for a show. You'll already have walked A LOT inside the Gaylord, and it's a good ways from there on the path to the Opry. We had one of the rooms closest to the Opry side Gaylord exit and it was still a solid mile walk each way. If that's a bit far for you, and you're thinking you'll just take a break mid walk, there is no resting point, not a single bench, between the hotel and opry. We'll certainly see how convenient ride share is for our next Opry concert. The benches (not seats) at least are cushioned, so they emulate the church pews of the Ryman, with a touch more comfort. Signs show the venue getting a little worn. For example, there was no running water in any of the sinks in the men's room. We'll be back. How can you not.
