Nothing authentic to actual Southern bbq to be found anywhere or by any of the staff. Also good luck screaming your order and hoping they understand you. And they left my drink off my order so I had to reorder one after ordering everything else. When I said I ordered one with the first window, the cashier rolled her eyes at me and says I have to order the drinks at HER window. The guy I gave my order to didn't tell me this and there is no sign indicating this, and my husband had no issue ordering his drink with his meal, so I can only assume they messed up and were looking to make excuses. I haven't even mentioned the food yet lol. Not smoked at all. Dripping in some sort of sauce like liquid, so my pulled pork sandwich was soggy instantly. Bland as could be to top it off. Worse quality than a bbq chain restaurant and at least as expensive if not more. There is some dude out front with meat on a bbq but none of it is ever taken into the restaurant. It's a huge scam. I guess they are hoping the smell of the smoke will hide the fact that you taste none in the meat they actually give you, lol. Do not recommend.

While perusing the local businesses, we discovered Lincoln Avenue Brewery tucked in a small alley. A bartender by the name of Liza warmly greeted us as we took a seat at the bar. Since we were not terribly hungry at the moment, we ordered the Pork Belly from the appetizer menu. While enjoying the delicious Pork Belly bites, we placed an order for their non-beer options (neither one of us are beer lovers). We ordered the Dust Bowl Brewery Strawberry Margarita seltzer, which is ironically a brewery that is located in close proximity to our home. As we were winding down, we ordered a round of ciders and the three meats-three sides platter for dinner. Our dinner reheated well in our room (we decided to order it as takeout to avoid eating such a messy meal in public) and was quite tasty - even though the macaroni and cheese could have used some seasoning. If you're looking for exceptional customer service, a healthy variety of brews, and delicious food - I recommend visiting Lincoln Avenue Brewery!

Nice space friendly staff, good fresh beer and inside and outside (covered) seating. Your order at the bar and they bring the food to you. My friend lamented that they no longer used Haddock but at those prices I can see why they had to change; the local fried cod was very good.

There was warm bread service with yummy kale butter. The mains: 2 orders of the 'wine forest risotto' = boneless Wagyu short rib with wild mushrooms, parmesan cheese it was sublime, melted in your mouth, very heavy. There also an order of the 'heritage beef and pork Bolognese', another home run! Lastly of course, dessert consisting of their 'hot mess' a chocolate flourless brownie, with marshmallow, pistachio ice cream, salted caramel - screaming goodness. Service was on point. There is no tipping as it is included in the pricing. Ambiance is casual; there is both indoor & outdoor seating. I had told the restaurant it was for a birthday & the staff have a staff photo made into a card where they all wished my friend 'happy birthday' plus a little gift of a wine bottle stopper, so sweet. Definitely coming back.

The food took a while to come out, but it seemed to be a busy night. We ordered: - Three Cheese Artichoke Dip - the dip was creamy and delicious! The bread was slightly crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. - Impossible Sausage Lasagna - honestly this didn't yard like anything too special. It tasted like regular lasagna. - Almost Bolognese - my favorite dish! It was so creamy and flavorful and I loved the pea protein and the noodles. - Fancy Lemonade (Peach) - the lemonade was pretty good and the peach syrup/flavoring was a fun addition. - Rustic Bread Pudding - I really liked the bread pudding! Slightly crunchy on the bottom and die to the nuts but the inside of the bread was soft and delicious! I also liked that it wasn't too sweet. - Hot Mess - this was also solid! The brownie and marshmallow combination with the ice cream is unbeatable. Bets part was that it was all vegan (even the marshmallow)! Overall, I had a great time and love to be back to eat here again!

Wowzers! So delicious! We had a chicken piccata a New York steak that could not stop impressing us! I had a Storybook Zinfandel which was a light, fruity red- I need go track it down. Then dessert-although full but wanted a celebratory bite- again our waitress piped in to not miss the ridiculously good Butterscotch Panna Cotta! uh yeah- that became the mic drop finale! This is at the back end of St. Helena and we usually never go this deep but since we were staying in Calistoga-this is just a bit outside from there and SO WORTH going to! Can't wait to return with the kids, friends, family. I feel like this meal made me remember how incredible wine country food can be! Guilting customers into directly subsidizing employee benefits (and putting us in the awkward position of having to explicitly request its removal) is a terrible practice. I paid the fee, but it left a very bitter taste. To the owner: If your labor costs are up, raise your menu prices transparently instead of tacking on junk fees. Ive seen this kind of surcharge tactic in San Francisco, but seeing it here is deeply disappointing. I won't be back for this exact reason. Pay your staff fairly, manage your menu prices accordingly, and stop passing the buck onto your customers.
