Just moved into the adjacent RV Resort and came in for dinner with my wife. We are plant-based and were happy with the selections off the sides menu as we don't mind eating dairy while eating out. The fried green tomatoes are amazing, the spicy sauce that comes with is absolutely amazing. The cakes are delicious and the serving size is nothing short of OBSCENE (massive and easily shareable). I couldn't really find a website or current menu. The turn for the restaurant is easy to miss. Gravel road and down next to RV camping. Plenty of parking. Good lakeside environment with a bar. Outdoor seating. They were slammed but still gave great service! My only complaint - the drinks are weak and not as fancy as I wanted. Tasted like margarita mix type drinks which was a bummer, and barely tasted any alcohol. We got calamari which was good, basic with marinara, and spinach and artichoke dip which was delicious and they gave us a ton of it. It wasn't very creamy but super thick, not even like a dip, still good though. I loved my grouper and side salad and baked potato. Hubby enjoyed his meal too. My dad told us we had to get the cake but we were too full. Definitely going to try some next time. Can't wait to come back! read more

Amazing. We're staying at the adjacent KOA and wandered over using a 'cut through' provided by the park. What a find! Super friendly service and amazing food. The clam chowder was easily the best I've ever had. And I've sampled clam chowder all over the USA. We had the fried catfish and oyster dinners. Perfectly prepared. The fried okra and collards were spectacular. The place is beautiful. Gorgeous sunset while we ate dinner. Indoor and outdoor seating. Full bar. Local beers on tap. The waitress Tulane was very nice and was tipped appropriately for her service, we had no complaints w anyone we came in contact with, Husband had pork chops and enjoyed them. I had fried oysters and some did not taste right, overall would not go back. I appreciate your science lesson but am aware of the mentioned bugs, maybe instead of being rude you should use that energy to pass out masks n clean your restaurant!!!!!!!!!!!! The Lake House had excellent service, delicious food, and a full service bar. We stopped at Palmetto Shores RV Park on our northbound trip to the cold weather. We were pleasantly surprised to learn there's a full service restaurant right on the premises! What a little gem! Danielle took very good care of us, advising which items on the menu were local and house-made (which was most), and which fish were fresh-caught. The fried catfish, which had been swimming that morning, was delicious. I got the basket, which was a smaller portion than a dinner (one large filet) and fries that were perfectly seasoned and just how I like them. If you like crispy, crunchy fries, order a different side! My husband said the salad was very good, and he really liked the seafood Alfredo, which had shrimp and scallops. It was a very generous portion, and he even took some home! To top it off, Danielle recommended the house-made peach cobbler with ice cream for dessert. It was out of this world delicious! Just came out of the oven! And the view of the lake, as the sun was setting, was priceless! If atmosphere counts then this is a place for you! This restaurant is perfectly placed on the lake with indoor and outdoor lake view dining. They do serve alcohol for those who just want to socialize and have appetizers. If I had to rate the meals I've had there I would say they are decent, not necessarily the best I've had but enjoyable. You should get grandma's sauce and pt it on everything. It's a surprising delight. China was our server, not sure about the spelling, but she was quick, attentive, and super friendly. Had a nice table but just as our drinks came and party of 12 golf buddies was set at a T to our table. Everyone had to bump into our table to serve them. The Boat House drink was like a sweet juice drink so I switched to gin n tonic with extra lime. That came flat with no lime. The Jambalaya was ok. Nothing to write home about. The manager came over to apologize for the service and the noise. When the bill came there was no adjustment for the drink I sent back. The waitress said she had to charge me. Would give no stars if possible. This was our first time eating here. I called at 1:00 and made reservations for a party of 8 at 6:00. We had 4 children, and 4 adults. The waitress was great and in no way was anything her fault but to wait an hour for a kid's grilled cheese sandwich, and a kid's cheese quesadilla is absolutely unacceptable. My kids were crying because they just wanted their food. We had other food that came out fine but we had to wait forever for theirs even after asking multiple times. We counted at least 15 employees working tonight. When we got up to ask about how much longer it would be for the kids meals, because our waitress was busy, the hostess told us "I don't have time for this right now". So unprofessional! The chicken wings were cold and had hair in them but we could tell the waitress was overwhelmed and we didn't say a word about the chicken. Our waitress was great, but the way we were treated by other staff put us off and we will not return. They did comp the 3 kids meals which was appreciated but way the situation was handled with other staff was unacceptable. The manager was completely disrespectful in her response on our Facebook review and also laugh reacted the review showing that she could really care less about professionalism. read more

Beautiful lake front restaurant conveniently off of 95. I almost wish we weren't just passing through and could spend some time on Lake Marion! The food and service were top notch, well exceeding my expectations. We had the gator bites, catfish, scallops, sweet potato, ribeye steak, mashed potatoes and some regional beers, everything was perfect!! The gator bites were the best I've ever had. I was not expecting an inland seafood restaurant to have such FRESH ocean seafood. We sat on the lakefront patio and hung out with the sweetest cats, I could not have been happier!
