My friends and were were doing some bar hopping and decided to come here for their fish bowls. We picked their margarita a small sangria mix. In the long run, the margaritas is the way to go since the sangria's sweetness can get overbearing after a bit. My party of 6 were satisfied with sharing 4 of the bowls amongst us. Nothing crazy but definitely not a bad experience. Would come again if in the area.

Fantastic spot for a post work beer right on the water! Great vibes next to all the boats to hangout with coworkers or friends! Definitely stop by for a drink!

Certain to quench your vibe appetite on a sunny afternoon on the Boston waterfront--as well as your yearning for standards apps and beer buckets, margarita bowls etc. We went with a corona and a sauv blanc in a tall clear plastic cup, so what? Pop music from 2010's ish, plenty of afternoon tipsy 20 something's to watch. We had the spring rolls, fried, veggie, two sauces, no complaints.

It's hot out and a spot in the shade is hard to find.

There doesn't see to be a lot of dockside places to sit and have a drink and people watch. The Landing is right in the area where some of the various harbor cruises depart from. Self sitting and serve your self from the bar. They do have food although we were there having a drink before a cruise. Good place to people watch.

The Landing has everything it needs to be successful - a prime location right on the water next to where all boat cruises board. It's the perfect spot to enjoy the action/scenery and wait before your cruise. The set up is nice - there are a ton of umbrellas and an outdoor TV. It's fun and busy, and I was happy to have an umbrella especially since the weather was on and off drizzling. We ordered two fishbowls - the Patriot Passion is a pink fishbowl that's delicious. The Blueberry Riptide is a blue fishbowl that looks really beautiful but tastes like chemicals - it was unfortunately not great. The service is very slow because they only have one person managing 10+ tables. He is clearly overwhelmed and can't keep up with all of the orders. He also spent a lot of time chatting, so tables constantly had to flag him down. I'm not sure why they don't hire more staff. Overall, nice vibe and great views. Come here for a drink or two before heading to your next destination.

Beautiful open bar by the wharf.. drinks reasonably priced not much alcohol but the drinks are nice and sweet.. thankfully they are not super diluted..tried the fish bowl for strawberry margharita and blueberry ripteda along with passion punch and zetsy (please skip this one it was disgusting i mean what else can you expect from cucumber and bloody mary).. all the drinks were well made and the wait time was around 20 mins to get our drinks at the counter..lovely place to spend a beautiful summer afternoon in boston while waiting for your harbor cruises.. loved the music.. will come back again..

I like the landing but I wouldn't say I LOVE IT. It's also hard to judge right now because they're big thing is the fish bowls they serve and they can't do those during corona. The food is terrible but they just have to serve it in order to stay open. Do not get the hot dog it was actually terrible. The drinks are always good but they are definitely over priced.

I'm a sucker for watching ballgames at the Fenway bars, but when a friend and I were looking for a sports-friendly spot near North Station and on the water, The Landing was a perfect solution! First off, the bartenders here rock! Busy as they may be, they're happy to dish out free tastes of their exhaustive beer selection. After a round of beers, we explored their fishbowl menu. Due to MA regulations, certain fishbowls require a minimum number of people, so the two of us had to stick with the "guppy" size (pic: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/the-landing-boston?select=wCWQJhfrcYKloxhiojjSaw#yc5O7smx137_6P9VuqzrrA). Don't let the size fool you, these suckers pack a punch! With four flavor choices, we opted for the Sunkissed Punch (Bacardi pineapple fusion rum / Bacardi rock coconut rum / pineapple & OJ), and both found the drink to be tropical and refreshing. Food-wise, if you're looking for anything above pita chips & hummus, or chips & guac, eat elsewhere beforehand - the menu is very limited here, but prices are definitely fair all-around. Decor was cool, especially under the bar tent, where color changing LED lights bounce off a montage of ceiling decorations and makes for a cool effect (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/the-landing-boston?select=wCWQJhfrcYKloxhiojjSaw#KXg2Q-4E4VCVDJWxzMb8eg). Now if only the Yankees won tonight, our night would have been complete! Either way, The Landing will definitely be a part of our next warm-weather Boston trip!

    Sun kissed punch, really good!

The outdoor siting was really pleasant, drinks were good, however I thought that the server wasn't polite, could be because it was a bit busy too.

Ask the Community - The Landing

    Is there a cover charge?

Not during the time period we were there which was 3 PM.

    Is there food?

Yes! Very limited menu though with only a few options. I've never gotten food from there but I am pretty sure they offer a lobster roll.

You know when you're eating a kale salad and the pieces are too big and you're kind of cramming them into your mouth and then the salad dressing is all over your face? This is NOT that salad! The kale is perfectly chopped so you can enjoy it with just your fork as you talk to your friend/spouse/date or just read your book. The dressing is such perfection, and the perfect amount, no gloopiness here! Crunchy breadcrumbs add magical texture and then there's a shower of finely grated gouda cheese on top. Have you ever read a good book and as you're reading it, you're so into it that you don't want it to end? So you slow down your reading speed to make it last a little longer? That's how I feel about this salad. There are other delicious items on the menu, I saw someone eating the burger that looked so good, I also want to try the Brussels but the call of the salad siren is too strong. Everyone is super welcoming and friendly, especially Catherine, and the kitchen team even shared the dressing recipe with me. Excellent wine list, casual and cozy space with twinkle lights, a lot of bar/counter seating, great date spot. Also attached/sister company to American Provisions I believe (great spot in Southie for sandwiches, cheeses, wines, pastries, rare food items).

I absolutely ADORE this place. It's one of my top 3 places in all of Boston. The vibes, the food, the wine, the prices, EVERYTHING is 10/10. This is one of those places where I feel at peace because I feel like my money was 100% well-spent. The prices are fair, and I don't feel like I'm being taken advantage of. And the FOOD, the food is exquisite. My favorite time to go is on Tuesdays for the $1 oyster deal, definitely my favorite $1 oyster deal in the city. They mostly have small plates and a few large plates, but you seriously can't go wrong with anything on the menu. And the wine options, amazinggggggg. Gray's is a true gem!

Total came out to approximately $80 (not including tip). What's Hot - Menu. Pretty good variety. There's something for everyone, including vegans (for the most part). Specifically for vegans, they do not appear to have vegan cheese. They recently added loaded fries to their menu. - Quality. We tried their buffalo loaded fries, which definitely a good kick of spiciness. There was a good amount of buffalo mozzarella cheese and chicken. Their fries are slightly crispy on the outside, soft and tender on the inside. I really enjoyed my pressed veggie sandwich. There were whole veggies, such as broccoli, with a good amount of cheese melted between all the veggies. I liked that it was not a mashed patty. The sourdough bread was not tart (which I prefer), soft, and not too greasy. No skimping on the ingredients either. Their mozzarella bites appetizer is good, not overly breaded, and cheesy/stringy. All of us enjoyed our meals. - Service. We showed up without reservations on a Friday night when it was cold and rainy, and they were able to seat us right away. We tried several other restaurants before getting here, and we would have had to wait at least one hour, because we did not have reservations, even though those restaurants clearly had open tables. Our waitress was helpful. She answered all questions she had and was able to provide us contextual helpful info (i.e., what she's tried from the menu, what she liked and why, flavor level, etc...). She paid attention to detail. One of our friends hates pickles and specifically asked for no pickles with his burger. This may seem like a minor detail, but if a staffer cannot pay attention to detail in the service industry, that is not a good indication. - Price. Good value for money, especially given the quality of food and portions. - Portions. Good amount and enough to get one full on one dish. - Location. Conveniently located in downtown Boston around many other shops and restaurants. - Layout. At the front, there's a pretty large bar area, including high tables and chairs, with booths and smaller tables towards the back. They appear to be able to accommodate large groups and smaller parties, including individuals. What's Not - Acoustics. It's pretty loud inside and sound carries very easily, so it's difficult to carry a conversation. Final Answer Worth returning.

We walked into a warm and carefully styled interior that feels modern while still having a vintage, almost Parisian-inspired look. The space has a lot of personality, from the décor to the seating areas, and it feels like a place designed for both a casual meal and a longer evening out. The outdoor seating adds to the atmosphere, especially when the weather is nice, and the overall energy of the room is lively and polished without being stiff. The menu has a mix of different influences, which makes it a little harder to define but also gives it a more interesting feel. The whipped ricotta was a standout starter, with a simple presentation that worked well as a shareable dish. The grilled shrimp was another highlight, with a stronger flavor and better execution compared to some of the other items. The vodka pasta is one of the dishes we would recommend trying because it fits well with the restaurant's style and is one of the more memorable options on the menu. The rest of the food was a bit more mixed. The burger was solid and enjoyable, but some of the other dishes did not stand out as much compared to the stronger items. The menu is not overly large, which can be a good thing because the focus stays on a smaller selection, but it also means there are fewer options if you are looking for something specific. The drinks are a big part of the experience, especially the cocktails and martinis, which match the overall vibe of the restaurant. The service during our visit was smooth, and the staff were attentive without making the experience feel rushed. The pacing felt comfortable, and the restaurant had a lively energy. The only thing to keep in mind is that the space can get loud when it is busy, so it may not be the best choice if you are looking for a quiet dinner where conversation is the main focus. Petula's is a spot where the atmosphere is just as important as the food. The beautiful interior, strong cocktail program, and a few standout dishes make it a place worth returning to, especially for drinks, brunch, or a casual dinner. The best parts of the experience come from the dishes that really fit the restaurant's style, so focusing on the more popular menu items rather than trying everything is the smarter approach.
