What an amazing date day ! Weather was perfect and the live saxophonist playing made the date even more romantic. We originally wanted brunch but ended up ordering lunch . For appetizers , we got the crab cakes and shrimp cocktail . For lunch , he ordered the cowboy steak and added grill shrimp and I had the fresh catch of the day which was so tender and flavorful! We ended lunch with a slice of creme brulee cheesecake and a glass of wine. Brooklyn was our server ( I requested her again) as I enjoyed her service during the Yelp event a few weeks ago. We will definitely come back !

I attended a Yelp event at The Landing Rooftop and left wondering if the view or the food stole the show. Honestly, it's a close race. Perched above downtown Melbourne, the rooftop offers stunning panoramic views of the river, the causeway, and the city below. It's the kind of place where you find yourself taking "just one more picture" every few minutes. We started with a Bloody Mary and a creamy Espresso Martini--both beautifully crafted and a perfect way to settle in and enjoy the scenery. The crab cakes were fantastic: crispy on the outside, packed with crab, and refreshingly light on filler. The watermelon salad was bright, fresh, and incredibly flavorful. It came with olives, which weren't really necessary for us, but they were easy to set aside and didn't take away from an otherwise excellent dish. The star of the meal was the 12-ounce ribeye with cowboy butter, cooked rare exactly as requested. A perfect sear on the outside, tender and juicy inside. The crispy potatoes were golden and creamy, the heirloom carrots and asparagus were cooked beautifully, and the pesto added a fresh burst of flavor that tied everything together. Between the exceptional food, creative cocktails, attentive service, and a view that makes you want to linger long after the meal is over, The Landing Rooftop delivered an experience that felt special from start to finish. And a big thank you to Yelp for hosting such a wonderful event and giving us the perfect excuse to spend an afternoon enjoying one of Melbourne's best views. I'll definitely be back--though next time I may need to decide whether I'm there for the steak or the skyline.

A refreshing mocktail with orange juice, honey, basil and sparkling water. Delicious!

It was my first time at a Yelp event. I am so happy I went! Cora was an excellent server. She was extremely attentive and kind. I sat outside by myself, it was very quiet and peaceful. It was a little on the hot side but the hostess gave me a seat in the shade. She assured me if it got too hot she could easily move me inside. I decided on a salad. The watermelon and feta salad sounded so refreshing on a hot Florida day. I chose that instead of the grilled Reuben or the Angus steak burger. I am so happy I did. It was one of the best salads I have ever had and it was so refreshing. The staff was so appreciative that I was there. I highly recommend it after this visit and will take friends in my next visit.

**INITIAL REVIEW** Melbourne Main Street a.k.a. Historic Downtown Melbourne is a definite "go-to" location when it comes to mom n' pop eateries ranging from casual to fine dining. Why many of my five-star reviewed restaurants are in this stretch of historic Melbourne, FL. If there is one restaurant I'd say has the "most" magnificent views of Indian River, Melbourne Main Street, and even Golden Hours of the horizons, then it is definitely The Landing Rooftop (which I will shorthand simply to Landing for the remainder of this review). Though an address is provided, The Landing - as per its full nomenclature - is located on a rooftop, specifically the rooftop of Hilton's Hotel Melby. The free parking for the garage floors for the HIlton are limited, so if you can't get a spot, there is a free parking garage just north of Hotel Melby next to the City Hall. To get to The Landing, you have to enter the lobby of Hotel Melby and take the elevator up to the 11th floor, which is the floor dedicated to the restaurant. Don't worry, the staff won't say anything and they'll usually let you go as they know about the patron traffic to the restaurant. The Landing is a beautifully-designed restaurant with Hilton's signature modern classic designs of bright tans and white lights. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, but I suggest indoor seating during high sun hours and outdoor seating during golden hour times and nighttime dining. As mentioned earlier, the views are magnificent for Indian River and Melbourne. I've eaten multiple times here at The Landing, but my lastest visit was an impromptu "date" with my friend Damaris, simply because she has never been here before, and I was giving her the grand tour of Melbourne Main Street. We sat outside in the shaded overhang, but got to walk around taking pictures of the views from all four sides. We should have sat in the cocoon hanging chairs, but we didn't know when we'd get our food and drinks. Starting with the drinks, we got a couple of mocktails, the Lemon Bay Breeze and the Strawberry Sunset. Details of both drinks and prices are in the pictures. As for food, we both split their charcuterie board appetizer, which I say is quite amazing, but definitely needs more bread and crackers. It consisted of many kinds of meats, cheeses, jams, olives, nuts, and fruits. Everything was so delicious, but we had to start using the cheese and meat slices as the "bread." We also got two desserts to share, the classic key lime pie and I assume the pistachio olive oil cake. Both were delicious and details, including price, are captioned in their pics. And on a side note, the restrooms are clean and stocked as they are up to the standard of a Hilton. And apparently, The Landing is one of those restaurants that are behind the times on payment. They initially takes tap payments with cards, but not NCT on phones. Their system does not like protective virtual cards, which is a major negative in my honest opinion, given the fact their food is a bit pricey compared to the rest of the restaurants in Melbourne Main Street. Ultimately, I am going to give The Landing three-out-of-five stars for their review. And the reason why I am giving it this kind of rating is a comparison to other Hilton restaurants I have been to. Kinda like Hotel Melby itself, this restaurant is kinda under the average of the Hilton standard. Not bad, but I have had better at other Hilton hotels and resorts. Only standout are the views around and about the restaurant, and that is a farcry because we are talking about Melbourne and Indian River. But I will stress this is one of the best places to dine while watching a rocket launch out of Cape Canaveral.

First time coming here and honestly I can't wait to come back!! This restaurant is definitely a hidden gem that needs to be known to all. Had the nicest server who was very knowledgeable with the menu & her service was outstanding. The food was also very good, and with the fabulous view I can't wait to come back again!! 10/10 on everything!!

Great views, food, and service is what the Landing should be known about. Nestled on the rooftop of the Hotel Melby in the heart of downtown Melbourne with beautiful views of the intercoastal and Indialantic Beach. We were warmly greeted by Maddy our server who was very knowledgeable and friendly. Katerina, the manager, also table touched throughout our experience to ensure we had a great time. my beverage of choice was an old fashioned which had an exclusive private barrel for the hotel by Angel Envy. My friend had the sunny daze which was their version of the painkiller. We then started our epicurean journey with their charcuterie board and the 12oz NY strip. Friends enjoyed the Porkchop and the Goat cheese Beet Salad. Very colorful and tasty dishes. finished with a key lime pie accompanied with a mango sorbet. had a friend who had a gluten and dairy allergy and took great care of her. We noticed they have Sunday brunch and having a Fourth of July event as well. Will definitely come back next time Im in area.

Arrived with a party of 2 around 7:00pm. We decided to sit inside. We were greeted by our waiter, whose name was Anthony. Anthony was absolutely amazing. He explained things on the menu. Let us know what's the most popular thing on the menu you were. Anthony was also very attentive and helpful. Would definitely go back just to see him. But aside from all of that. The ambience was great. The views were amazing to see Melbourne at a different view. The food was pretty good. I wish they would have been more vegetarian options.. which started as we had crabcakes. Wish they had a little more crab meat, but they were pretty good. Didn't really like how the coleslaw was underneath. The crabcakes made the bottom a little soggy. I got the flatbread which was pretty good. I really enjoyed it. We also tried the crème brûlée cheesecake very delicious. Would definitely order that again. I had two glasses of Moscato very delicious and went well with the crème brûlée cheesecake. A dining experience here was pretty good, but definitely recommend to others.

Made a reservation for two the night before. We were able to add another couple with no problem. We decided to sit at the outside bar. The night weather was a little chilly, but they had the space heaters on , which was perfect. Great bartender, made us delicious cocktails. Nice view from the rooftop. I had the bone in pork chop. It was delicious. We also had some flatbread and salads which were very good. Cool spot to either hang with some appetizers and drinks or have a good dinner with a view.

Excellent water and city views! First time eating at this restaurant and highly recommend you make a reservation. It gets very busy. Staff were very nice and accommodating. I first ordered the shrimp tacos which came with a sauce that made it too spicy for me. I asked if I could order the Hot Honey Crispy Chicken Sandwich because my sister and friend ordered it and said it wasn't spicy. They allowed me to order it, and it was so good. It has a good flavor and came with curled potato fries which were delicious. My daughter said the shrimp tacos were very tasty and she liked the spicy kick to it. It's a little pricey, but definitely worth a visit.

Went there over the weekend to celebrate my birthday and really enjoyed myself. Server was great! very friendly and helped us make some good selections. The atmosphere felt cozy and intimate despite the fact that a large event was going on, on the other side of the restaurant. The hotel itself is gorgeous! The only drawback was that we didn't get to sit outside, but that's an us thing. not a them thing. definitely will be going back and booking outdoor seating to enjoy that vibe.

Enjoyed our stay at the Melby for Thanksgiving and the rooftop was definitely something worth checking out. The rooftop is cozy and a cute spot to grab dinner! We were seated quickly and our server was really nice too. I really enjoyed the wings and the flatbread was also good with the perfect amount of crispy for the crust. The fries were truly the star of the show! Super crispy, the shape was great and we really enjoyed the sauce. The smoke old-fashioned was also very good and we appreciated that they actually smoked it. This sangria was also very good. No complaints!

First of all, AMAZING VIEW !! Usually rooftop restaurants in my experience are congested and dirty, but this place was far from that. Beautiful ocean and downtown views. We had amazing service, which really set the tone for our lunch. My husband ordered an appetizer of oysters, then Tuna Poke which he enjoyed with a nice cocktail. I ordered a mocktail to go along with the seared ahi Niçoise salad. Super refreshing and delicious! Parking was a bit odd, give yourself 5-10 minutes for that. But overall great experience and must visit restaurant!

We visited The Landing Rooftop in Palm Bay during a staycation! From the atmosphere to the service, everything was spot on. The Food We started with the Peach Burrata Salad, which was incredibly fresh and the perfect way to kick off lunch. For our mains: Caramelized Goat Cheese Beet Salad: This was a standout. The goat cheese had actual caramelized pieces on top--almost like it was brûléed. It added a delicious, crunchy sweetness that paired perfectly with the beets. Steak Burger: My husband really enjoyed this; it was hearty and cooked perfectly. Crispy Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich: My friend loved the balance of heat and sweet. We finished with the Hummingbird Cake for dessert. Our server described it as "banana bread on crack," and she wasn't lying! It was absolutely phenomenal. The Service A huge shoutout to our server, Stephanie. She was so sweet and hospitable, checking in on us several times and engaging in just the right amount of light small talk. She made us feel very welcome and well-taken care of. Bottom Line Delicious food, great vibes, and excellent service. We loved our experience!

Ask the Community - The Landing RoofTop

Is there any shade in The Landing (roof top) during the day?

Hi Rich A. We have umbrellas to provide shade during the day.

Is there an age restriction (ie. 21 yrs and older?)

When my wife and I looked into this place it didn't look like there were any age restrictions for guests.

Every day of the week they have a different separate drink menu for the specialties of that day. I love the Wednesday bourbon. The vibe inside is so amazing and Homie and it is pretty intimate though. So keep in mind if you have large parties like I went once with around six people it is hard for everyone to sit together. So I would definitely recommend coming on more weekday evenings when it's not as busy otherwise you will be having to wait in a line outside unfortunately. The capacity seems to be roughly around 30 people after talking with the bartenders. The bartenders are extremely knowledgeable. The off menu drinks that they could come up with ended up being some of my absolute favorites. I had the bartender at one point make me three surprise me drinks for whatever they felt like they could make. And every single one was so amazing I ended up passing it around to the rest of the group for everyone to try. Keep in mind, the drinks are probably a little bit more on the expensive side, but you are paying for more of the experience. It is also important to note that there is a five dollar cover fee that will last for a full week to enter the place, or you can buy an annual membership for $40. If you buy the annual membership, they do type out a membership library card for you and laminate so it feels very official and it's very cool to be able to have in your wallet. The head bartender is brilliant. Talent without hospitality, though, is a craft cocktail fail. Kindness counts. The vibe was colder than the cocktails. I hope it improves on future visits. The blonde bartender in the grey dress was just right. Professional, attentive, and kind. This is easily a six star speak. When you are serving? You are "on." The décor is beautiful, and the combination of indoor seating and large garage doors opening to a spacious outdoor patio creates a fun date-night vibe with excellent beach views. Be aware that the indoor dining area was so loud. We opted to dine al fresco. The drink menu is creative, but cocktails are on the pricey side at around $15+. I tried the seasonal margarita and was surprised by how small the glass was for the cost. To be fair, it was served without ice (just how I prefer it), which likely factored into the size. Even the water glasses seemed unusually small. Service was excellent across the board. The entire staff worked together seamlessly, but the true standout was Peter, the host. When seating guests, he offered a choice between tables, a thoughtful touch I watched him extend to everyone. Throughout the evening, he seemed to be everywhere at once, helping deliver drinks and desserts, checking restrooms and supplies, assisting staff, and ensuring guests were taken care of. The ultimate example of his attentiveness came when I accidentally left my purse behind while walking on the beach. Peter actually started heading toward the beach to make sure I got it back. His attitude, work ethic, and willingness to help in every area made a lasting impression. Food prices are also on the higher side. I wanted to sample a few items, so I ordered two appetizers: the mussels, which were plentiful, and the shrimp and crab cake. I'm very particular about crab cakes, and this one was excellent and highly recommended. The portions were filling, though next time I'll probably order an entrée since the pricing works out similarly. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his double stack smashburger, and we couldn't pass up dessert. The chocolate cake was enormous, incredibly moist, and absolutely delicious. Overall, Boardwalk Bar & Grill offers fantastic views, a great atmosphere, excellent service, and quality food. Just be prepared for premium pricing.
