That turned out to be a smart move -- when I arrived, the place was packed and there were still two people in line. This is at 7:30am :| I ordered the Combo Silog to try a variety of things. I couldn't find the highly recommended ube pancake on the weekday menu. I later learned that it's only available on weekends, so I'll definitely have to come back for that. The combo came with a pork chop, two eggs cooked to your choice, two types of sausage, a silog with beef filling, and garlic rice. I also added a side of fried chicken. The pork chop and fried chicken were the highlights for me -- both had a thin, crispy batter that tasted great. I ordered my eggs over easy, and they were cooked perfectly: soft, but not too runny. The rest of the plate was solid, though nothing else especially stood out. I did wish substitutions were allowed, but the menu makes it clear they aren't. Overall, Ludi's definitely knows how to cook. The food feels like a tasty fusion of Asian and American breakfast comfort food, and it's hearty enough to keep you full for hours.
