Really hate leaving negative reviews. Asked to speak to service manager 3x -- twice in response to their automated follow up email and once directly. Have heard nothing from the dealership. Not a word. So here's my caveat emptor review. Biggest challenge is service. Took my car in for its 7500 mile service, ostensibly about an hour. After an hour and a half with no update, I asked the service consultant for an update. "They're still looking at it" ("it" being a noise that turned out to be from a bad wheel bearing on this nearly brand new car). After 2.5 hours finally done. On return visit, ostensibly a 5 hour process, I dropped the car at 7 and requested it by 3. No updates along the way, so i called after 3. Car ultimately ready by about 4. No explanation. No apology. No interim update, which would have taken about 15 seconds to do. At least the repair was successful. Again, I have followed up to give this feedback directly to the service department and have not had the courtesy of a response...so leaving the review here (and on Carfax) since they appear to have affirmatively chosen NOT to follow up with this frustrated customer. They had a chance...three, in fact. Buying experience about as expected, if also disappointing. Got the old "here is the price right now" after which I said I'd compare it with another dealer. Salesman: "Let me tell you how we do business here." Me: "I'm the one with the checkbook." Got the old good cop/bad cop routine, with the sales manager asking how he could help. Wonderful kabuki theater with everyone playing his role. Why does it have to be this way? End result is I got the car at the price I knew was right all along...and still am unhappy with the experience. Ultimately welcomed "to the Muller family" -- with lousy service experiences as noted above. Again. Why does it have to be this way? How hard would it be to make the buying and service experiences positive? Apparently harder than this business wants to try. Fair warning. read more

I've been Muller Honda's client for many years now, purchasing a total of 5 Accords, both for myself and my wife, from them, each we've kept for about 10 years. Their service is also great, honest and professional. I don't live in the Chicago area and was only visiting from a couple of hours away when I got a flat tire near Northbrook. I called the Honda service department ahead of time to check if the tire was in stock, and they confirmed it was. When I arrived, Nick was incredibly helpful and communicative throughout the process. I'm very grateful--they replaced the tire quickly and also found a nail in another tire, which they were able to patch. One of our vehicles was hit in a parking lot, and fortunately, the offender had insurance, and they said I could take my car in for repair at the place of my choosing. Since I have worked with Muller Honda for almost 20 years, I called their collision center and spoke with John. He instantly made me feel at ease and told me about the whole process. I made an appointment for a couple of days later so they could assess the damage and schedule the repair. Again, John was courteous and treated me with respect. He mentioned that I could wait in the main building's waiting room, where I could enjoy a coffee, tea, or water, and a snack. About 15 minutes later, John returned to let me know that I could swing back to the collision center and make the appointment for repair service. Again, he updated me about how things would go from there and patiently answered all of my questions. I appreciate John's professionalism and feel that my vehicle is in good hands! read more

3/20/25 - I will never trust a major dealership for service again. I brought my Honda Odyssey into the Highland Park Honda Service Center after the check engine light came on. The very next morning, Roberto from service quoted me over $8,000 in repairs. I asked for just the necessary work--he came back with a $5,441 estimate, still pushing for more. Terrified and out of options, I took a friend's advice and went to her trusted local mechanic. After a simple oil change and a spark plug cleaning (which had already been done at Honda), he told me there was nothing wrong with my car. We were ready to sell our Odyssey. We felt trapped. Now, we feel completely taken advantage of. Well--not today, Honda. You've lost a customer for good, and I'll be sharing this experience far and wide. read more

update-4th visit 08/9/25- I specifically asked service advisor Modesto to have them check my alignment. I have been traveling long distances at high speeds and felt it wasn't riding smoothly. Noise from tires as they rotated. He assured me that the black diagnostic things I drove over on the way in the door showed everything was fine.... after my oil change he again assured me nothing else needed to be done. The technician didn't even notice it after a tire rotation. Then I get home to a text telling me my wheels are out of alignment.This could have been addressed while I was THERE ! I do not live close by . More than angry. Misalignment can cause suspension issues , which are very expensive *****just checked a prev text and apparently their system indicated that I need alignment as far back as Jun 3rd (3rd visit ) and NOBODY TOLD ME, so I drove over 3000 miles misaligned..and so you're probably wondering why didn't I read the texts before ? I expected the service advisors to know their job - ADVISE ME ON WHAT SERVICE I NEED - apparently they do not know how to do this. Seems there are new people since my 1st & 2nd visit who do not know what they are doing. 3rd visit -minor mistake , put one of the rear hatch lifts on upside down ( I did tell them when they later asked me how they did- they never got back to me . or fixed it ) . Body Shop did great work fixing a fender bender. Original visit- Michael was knowledgeable and informative. I can tell my tech did a great job based on my Element's smooth acceleration and responsive handling after they worked on it. This was my first time here, but not my first Honda - I'm on my fourth one. They're not close to home, but worth the trip. read more

Do not buy a car from this location. The sales team is fine but the service team is horrible and only do the bare minimum. We purchased an Odyssey and have had a reoccurring issue which was never fixed. Eventually our warranty expired and the problem was still never fixed and was told we had to pay out of pocket. The advisors are pushy and do not clearly explain the issue. We will take our car to Ed Napleton Honda or eventually trade our car in for a Toyota which we should have done in the first place. read more

Absolutely awful. Showed up at about 5:20pm only to be told their used lot was at another location. Went to that other location to start looking at an Acura MDX. Was approached by a gentleman that asked me "can I help you". I said "yes I'd like to look at this vehicle, is it unlocked or would you need to get the keys". He said "I'd need to get the keys but the problem is we are closing in 25 minutes". So we said "Okay then we'll go buy it somewhere else then" and we followed his lead away from the vehicle. Horrible dealership visit this evening. 100 percent bait and switch technique on a 2022 Honda Odyssey. Told me one price over the phone and than raised it by a thousand dollars when I arrived. The sales manager is extremely rude and combative at best. Sales manager yelled at me and caused a huge scene. I will never return. Tony who takes calls and books appointments is a total liar. Worst worst worst!! Had I taped the Interaction with the manager it would have become a viral video of "what not to do" and "how not to behave". I had a very negative experience at the Muller Honda Service Center on May 26, 2020. My Honda Accord had a check engine light and when I arrived at Muller Honda, the person who greeted me at the service department entrance said that there would be a fee of $140 for a check engine light diagnosis and HE LIED and said that I could use the $140 spent as a credit for future repairs at Muller Honda. The technician determined that my car needed more engine oil and recommended a $59 oil change which was done. After the work was done, the service advisor CONTRADICTED the person who greeted me at the service department entrance and said that I could not use the $140 towards another repair! I tried to contact the manager of Muller Honda customer service about this issue, but never received a response. BEWARE and get everything in writing because Muller Honda service cannot be trusted! 1 STAR. On the other hand the Muller Honda Collision Center Body shop professionals are very trustworthy and straightforward and I wish I could give a separate 5-star rating to the Body Shop, but unfortunately, that's not possible. read more

The Subaru service department had a line of cars out the door, so I thought I'd stop by the Muller Honda service department. While we like the sales people at Muller Honda. The service department needs to be cleaned up. I went for oil change. And it was busy. I mentioned front wheels. After oil change. I get recommendations. Nearly 100.00 for windshield wipers. Mine work and are perfect. Something about tune up. Ok. Then brakes. Suggesting with a low ball. They trim the rotars. Which would be fine. But I haven't seen that in 20 years. And if they can't they'll double cost of brake job. Was that intentional? Bait and switch? I noticed when I got home my wheel felt odd. I wondered if they had checked. Sure enough not on sheet of recommendations. Ok I made it to a local garage. Repaired. Years ago Muller would have caught my need for repair. Do they even give basic safety checks anymore. They lost that repair. Everybody gets commissions so they push garbage. And forget to be honest and deliver safety checks. So disappointing. Please clean up that service department. In the market for another Muller Honda. Your service department scares me. read more

My fingertips get itchy when I encounter an establishment with poor business practices...which is what brings me to review Muller Honda. On the way to my boyfriend's house in WI, my vehicle was disabled and towed to Muller yesterday evening. Having waited 3 hours for Honda roadside assistance, I entreated them to assist me with changing my flat tire, a seemingly innocuous request of a dealership. I was greeted by dealer staff who were as nonplussed and indifferent towards a customer as I'd imagine they'd be towards an uninvited solicitor. "The service department is closed for the day," sniffed a self-important car wrangler. You'd have thought they had Bentleys on sale, instead of Civics, Fits, and CR-Vs. Unfortunately, that was the end of anything remotely resembling assistance that I received that day at Muller. Completely unhelpful, and stranded to-boot, I wound up having to leave my car at the dealer in the 'burbs overnight. Upon return the next day, the new (and most importantly, more reliable) tow truck driver and I were greeted by yet another unhelpful, unfriendly representative of Muller, who proceeded to nastily question the tow truck driver as to his whereabouts, intentions, etc. "Good morning," "Hello, how may I help you?" and other such pleasantries were clearly above the base abilities of this "gentleman." Never mind a flat tire on a Honda vehicle at his establishment; he simply couldn't be bothered to help, which was a complete strangehood to me. While I was taken aback at the lack of manners, the tow truck driver shrugged it off and said, "what did you expect? It's Muller." That was probably the most telling comment of my experience at Muller. He hitched up my downed vehicle and we departed for friendlier confines. Needless to say, should I ever be stranded by my vehicle in the unfriendly sticks again, I'll keep rolling on the flat tire right by Muller. read more

My experiences with sales and service have been polar opposite. I had a GREAT experience buying my Honda Accord here. Matt, Raffe, Luigi, and Kyle were professional, not pushy and made the experience a pleasant one. The service department, however, is the WORST I have ever dealt with. Marc, the service manager is the most rude, arrogant, and unprofessional person I have had the displeasure of working with. They don't pick up calls to schedule service, rather, you will be transferred a voicemail box never to be called. Also, the work they do is crap. They had my car for an entire week just to change a rim and align the car. My problems were still not fixed. No communication, bad service and bad people don't get my business! I cancelled my service contract with them! Do yourself a favor and device elsewhere! read more

Everyone I dealt with in the Service department was PHENOMENAL. From Marc, who walked me through what they (very quickly) established was going on; to Mike, who fixed the issue seamlessly; to Greg, at the service desk, who could not have been more friendly and accommodating. I bought my car because of the failure of the GM Issac at Steve Foley Cadillac . He had quoted me a Trade in on the phone of 23,990.00 site unseen. Problem I owe 26,000.I had 20,000 on mine To make it somewhat work I had to go to a 2016-2017 with 40-48 k miles I waited 10 minutes told the guy at the dealer I will be back.I remember Muller Honda down the street and my wife went a bout new a 2009 CRV she always goes their for routine.They have never had to do any work beside oil change we replaced the tire three times and last year the Cadillac converter went out and had one put in for 99,000 she has 180,000.I walked through the dealer and saw a guy in the office he looked like someone in charge he was GM (Andy)I said what I wanted to do he was on his feet in seconds and walking and talking.He came out look my vehicle over called his used car guy and they offered me 23,000.It was worse off.Wait in stead of 40-48 k miles Zero Models instead of a used car a new car out of the show room.Also the upside down part 24,900 Accord they gave me for 19,900 Factory Warranty etc. Everyone has to win customer coming back and the dealer able to keep the lights on for super deals.Now Im in with Danny the finance Manager you know you normally get hosed here He went to Honda Financing and Bank of America etc have a 792 score so no issue there they gave me 500.00 toward because of being a Marine and a 1,000 for repeat customer .Now the warranty's many will hose you as much as 1,500 he waived his override I wont say what it was we will just say worth 2 car payments. Im now driving a brand new Honda Accord Im happy with my choice and even told my wife if I dedicated to leave my Insurance Agency I would love to work there.To compare them with another company would be ABT which is also over the top customer service.Talk to Danny Talk Adam you will not be sorry just dont play games with them be fair and understanding they have to win and you have to win read more

We just purchased a new car from Muller Honda and couldn't have been happier with the buying experience. When we met Kurt Kim a little over a month ago, we could tell right away that he was honest, direct, and wasn't trying to sell us. It was more about the customer, building a strong relationship, and it was clear how important earning our business was to him. Not just for now, but for the future too. The timing wasn't right to buy and we did shop around, but came back to Muller after finding other dealerships to be deceiving and not forthcoming in their negotiations and customer approach. There are many reasons why Muller has such positive feedback, but to us the two most prevalent were the great sales team (Kurt Kim stands out) and their commitment to building a long-term relationship. If you're in the market for a new or used Honda, I strongly recommend Muller Honda. read more
