I purchased a car from Felipe and Erick. They lied to me and told me that the car I was purchasing was not in accident and had no previous damage. Two weeks after purchasing the car it was noticed/confirmed by Caliber Collision that the rear bumper and door were involved in a previous accident. I had requested Old Orchard Nissan to replace and fix bumper and back door. I have waited now two months with several call attempts and no one has called me back. I had a terrible experience with this dealer. They made it incredibly difficult to do business with them from the very beginning. Their internet sales reps appear to hide large fees and refuse to disclose them upfront. At best, it is extremely deceptive. At worst, it feels potentially illegal. They will not answer direct questions, and if you keep asking, they become aggressive and dismissive. It was honestly painful dealing with them. Speaking to them on the phone was almost like speaking to AI. They just repeated the same generic, copy and paste type responses instead of actually answering anything. Their whole approach seems designed to force you into coming to the dealership in person. So I did. I scheduled an appointment several hours in advance and was specifically told the cars would be prepped, ready, and warmed up when I arrived because it was a cold winter day. That was completely false. One of the vehicles was not even on site or available at all, despite being discussed in advance. The other had a dead battery and could not even be properly reviewed. This was after we made a point to schedule ahead. Gideon, the sales rep we dealt with in person, was great, professional, and someone I would highly recommend. He was the bright spot in an otherwise awful experience. His team, however, was a completely different story. Someone named William was dismissive about the fact that one of their cars was dead, almost as if we were supposed to expect that because it was an EV. That is ridiculous. A dead vehicle at a scheduled appointment is not normal and should not be brushed off like it is the customer's problem. I would also say this dealership is deceptive in general. The table next to us was being pressure sold very aggressively, and they seemed visibly upset when several thousand dollars in hidden fees were disclosed at the very last minute. Watching that happen only confirmed the concerns we already had. In speaking with employees, I also learned they sell far more used cars than new cars. That explained a lot. This felt much more like a greasy used car operation hiding behind the image of a Nissan dealership than an actual professional branded dealer experience. Unfortunately, the interaction I had with Kelly was very disappointing. Each time I attempted to explain my situation or ask a question, I was interrupted and spoken over while she continued with her scripted explanation rather than listening to the actual concern. I eventually told her I would call back in hopes of speaking with someone who would take the time to understand the situation and answer my questions. When I called back, however, she repeatedly answered the phone and either hung up or transferred me to a voicemail that was not functioning. When a customer is considering traveling several hours to do business with your dealership, taking the time to listen and clearly explain the process should be a basic expectation. Good customer service starts with listening first and making sure the customer fully understands how things work at your dealership. Brought my car here because the malfunction light came on. Spent $665.98. After getting the car back, the car horn does not work/go off anymore, when I lock the door the beeper no longer works, and the malfunction light still comes on the dashboard. After multiple attempts contacting these people, I finally received a response (pictured) that they want $209.53 minimum just to look at the car again. SO disappointing. I did reach out to both Nissan in Tennessee as well as the Corporate Headquarters in Japan, but have yet to hear back yet. If anyone has experienced similar issues with Old Orchard Nissan please DM me and maybe if there are enough of us, we can contact the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint. I called ahead. Let them know I'm coming from another state. To look at a ford lightning. It's an EV. So the could charge it up and have it ready. I pulled up and didn't see it. Aka they did not pull it up to get ready. They made us wait. They had a lot of people working. They asked us to wait while they got an experienced rep to work with us. We sat there waiting and waiting. I'm there to buy not waste my time. So I decide to leave. As I'm in my car to pull out they pull up the truck. So I get out to look real quick. Had 19 miles of range on it. That's like showing a car to a customer with the gas tank light on. Even if I wanted to buy it I wouldn't be able to drive it home. It wasn't clean. You put your best foot forward for customers. I went to look at a different car dealer. That day. They had it out in front waiting. Charged up and cleaned. One dealer made a sale the other didn't. Old Orchard isn't in the business of selling cars. So what can you do improve. Take all potential customers seriously. Their time is money. There were plenty of staff inside not helping customers. Charge up the EVs, make sure anything gas car has plenty of you know a customer is coming to look at it and wash it up and wipe it down. Especially if you know the customer called ahead with plenty of time. It's not like I live down the block. I don't put this here to trash them. The way this dealership sells cars is by posting a 'great' price, then making you come in person to work out a deal. Only when you waste your time driving there, they will expect you to pay a couple thousand more at least, while also selling you the other warranty and protection garbage that they act like you need. They basically kicked me out when I asked for a price close to the one THEY POSTED, seeming to get childishly insulted or something. Suddenly they didn't want to work out a deal until the vehicle was there, because it was in transit at the time. Except I was specifically there to do just that because THEY TOLD ME to come in. They already knew the situation and were fully willing to work out a deal, that's why they posted it online to begin with! But when I ask for a number they thought was right posting online, apparently they can't work on it anymore? They were also being weird by asking for my credit or debit card, saying they 'need to know if i'm a real buyer'. Very suspicious and very concerning that they think it's okay to ask for that when I have not purchased anything yet, especially when I wouldn't even have been using a card to buy it. After I left, at least 2 other salesman called me to make a deal despite the fact that the vehicle still wasn't there, so the salesman for sure lied to me about the reason he couldn't work a deal out with me. One of those salesman couldn't even be bothered to say my name correctly or pay any attention to what I was saying because they were mid-conversation with someone else. Didn't apologize for butchering my name or anything, had absolutely 0 respect for the customer they were trying to sell to. My advice is to, at the very least, not go in person to the dealership. My experience last night at Old Orchard Nissan Group in Skokie was the most unprofessional and dishonest experience I've ever had car shopping. They had a car listed on their website for $14,222 that I was interested in. It was a 90-min drive, so I called and spoke to them, asked if the car was on site, asked if the price was $14,222, and asked what the Out the Door price would be. She wouldn't confirm the OTD price, but kept saying "It's simply taxes based on your county and the standard taxes and fees." We drove 90-minutes, and sat there for 30-minutes as they looked for the car. After finding it, we test drove it and decided it was the one. We were excited because this was my daughter's college graduation gift, and this was exactly the car she wanted. So I offered $14,222, THE ASKING PRICE, just so we could wrap this up. The dealer came and sat down with their office, and it was $24,295!!! They had added on $5,000 in "options" and another $5,000 in "taxes and fees." After explaining I didn't want any of the options, we zeroed in on why a car that should have been out the door at around $16,300 was still stuck at $19,900. It was their $2,000 "transportation and stocking fee", which they would not remove. I was so upset, and told them I would pay the advertised price, if they would just remove the fee and honor what their website said, and they said "I'll wave that if you finance with us." But I already financing handled and was prepared to right a check right then. Finally I gave up and walked away, and as I was walking out the GM said, "I thought you wanted to buy a car?" I said, "I did! For the price you advertised! It's you guys who don't want to SELL a car!" He said the fine print explained that for that price, you had to finance with them. Included in this was a $4,000 delivery/service fee that was most definitely NOT negotiable. This means that the price of the car was really $30,000. This is my second experience with this dealership. They are so crooked in so many ways and I'll explain why I went in there a couple years back for a Nissan rogue that they had advertised they made me come all the way down there knowing I was coming from a distance when I came in there they said let us get the vehicle for you came back and said my manager said we just sold that vehicle but I could show you another one. Let me make a copy of your drivers license and go get the vehicle for you I agree while waiting he comes back says I'm so sorry to inform you. My manager said we just sold that vehicle. Does this not seem like a coincidence that both times they said the same thing and both times these vehicles were not available, but they have other vehicles they could show you. I told them no thank you you wasted my time you did this before to me. I'm out of here. I left when I called the establishment to complain about it. They gave me a story that they're a big dealership and they make deals all day. Then I get a call from Jay the director of sales and he apologized but says he has two dealerships and that he may have more Ultima as I could look at sure he does, but it wasn't the Ultima came therefore he said don't worry they'll make it worth my while if I came back. Yeah right. He told me to look at the other inventory that he has and let him know what I'm interested in. We'll see how that goes, but I'm not holding my breath. I walked and found a great car elsewhere (at Muller Honda). It seems clear they listed this lower to get people in the door so they could add more fees later. Terrible dealer. I flew in for a car that was priced at $24,888 online. I called twice before the flight to talk with two different people to confirm that that would be the price without any games. It was confirmed that the price was the price and it wasn't contingent on any financing or any other offers. When I got there they added over $16,000 in fees and add ons to bring the total to over $41,000. When I told them about calling and talking to them of course that is handled by an outside department and they had never heard of the people I mentioned that I had talked to. I had worked them back down to $26,500, but they wouldn't budge off of that. I told the salesman that I was done and leaving after talking to the manager twice at that point. He wanted to talk to the manager once more so I just walked out. Don't believe the price you see online and don't waste your time dealing with these people. Among the worst places to buy a car. I was interested in a Taycan or Lucid - fairly high end cars. They had them advertised at a good price. Went to test drive the Taycan, and found out the whole front end is repainted poorly, with a different white color (btw, car is listed as "no accident"). When I asked what happened, salesman just shrugged his shoulder and said "I dunno" and walked away. Finally another guy (not a sales guy, but the guy who lists cars online) came to help us out. Sales guy didn't come back. On to the Lucid ... tried to drive it, it had a flat. Btw, it's advertised as checked and cleaned etc. Then we waited for an hour while they tried to fix it, managers asked us to wait, etc.. They couldn't fix it, we left while managers shook our hands, promised to fix the car, and call us in for a test drive. Got 3 phone calls that week asking me when I'd come in, but no one could tell me if the flat was fixed for a test drive - they all said they'd check and call me back, but of course no one did. I finally called them a week later, they do some shuffling around for a bit, and someone finally told me it's fixed and ready for a test drive. I go up there (an hour away), and tried to test drive it, and the car had an operating system critical error on the dash and would barely move. Mind you, this is a car that they've supposedly extensively QA-ed for sale, and QA-ed again for my test drive. I still tried to test drive it, hoping the error would go away, as I've now wasted two half days on this car. It wouldn't drive, the car wouldn't go over 15 or so mph. I asked the same salesman what he thought was going on, and he shrugged his shoulders, quipped - "I don't know, I'm not a mechanic" and went back to his phone texting. This place is an absolute waste of time. I have ended up shopping at multiple dealerships in the city and finally buying a Taycan from another one. My wife and I recently visited Old Orchard Nissan in Skokie to test drive a vehicle and left with serious concerns about the dealership. We had scheduled an appointment in advance, but when we arrived we were told the salesperson we'd been communicating with online (Eric) wasn't a real person. The salesman who eventually helped us (Jeremy) seemed confused about why we were there and which vehicle we wanted to see. After waiting about 15 minutes, the car was finally brought around, but was filthy, with the explanation that their car wash was broken. During the test drive, the salesperson wasn't able to answer even basic questions about the vehicle. We also discovered that one of the rear entertainment screens was actually cracked (despite initially being told it was just a screen protector), and after the drive there was a noticeable burning smell from the engine. At that point there were simply too many red flags. Even though we were willing to discuss the issues and potentially make a deal, the Used Car Manager never came out to speak with us. The overall experience felt disorganized and unprofessional, and unfortunately the follow-up communication afterward wasn't any better. We came in genuinely interested in buying a vehicle but left feeling like we were dealing with a shady used car operation rather than a professional dealership. I have some warnings for out of town buyers considering a long trek into Chicago to purchase a car from Old Orchard Nissan: 1) They will not read you the accurate "Disclosure Form" for the given lemon/buyback vehicle of interest(which is a violation statutory requirement) when phoning to inquire about the vehicle in question. Instead, when asked to read the statement they will say only, "it was sold to maintain customer satisfaction". They did this for multiple cars when I phoned in about individual prospects. But when you arrive to the dealership and request to see the form for yourself, it will likely detail one or more specific and actionable defects. A disclosure form with delineated problems is not the issue(I expect that)....but Old Orchard's frankly duplicitous false read when declaring vehicle details is a failure of honor and trust. And costly in time, effort, and expense to potential purchasers from far away. 2) Old Orchard will not be honest with the anticipated associated fees of purchasing a vehicle through them when inquiring by phone. Before my 3 hour drive to visit them, knowing that associated fee are discretionary, I went point by point through the usual costs including documentation/filing/titling fees. They quoted me, "yea, something like 413$". However, when they have you across the desk in location, they presented fees in excess of 3X their on-phone estimate. As an out of State buyer, I was prepared to complete many title requirements on my own with the proper Bill of sale, odometer disclosure, etc. Be aware that Old Orchard's associated, and hidden fees, were multiple times higher than commonly found locally in Wisconsin. Do not believe what they relay on the phone. 3) Anticipate an almost unworldly steerage and pressure to finance the car from their management staff. I arrived with multiple forms of payment for a "cash price". After travelling by car for nearly 4 hours from Upstate Wisconsin with a second driver to take the car home, I was informed that it was essentially impossible to do so with a cash sale....unless it was actually cash ($40K + ....of cash). They informed that almost nobody purchases a car without loan and those that do must wait 2-3 weeks to take possession for fund clearance, etc. I certainly understand the dealership wanting to protect themselves from non-payment...but methods of payment not involving coercive loan relationships exists such as cashier's check, large CC limited accounts, etc. I have never financed a car in the past, thus it was weird experience, and one I have never had before, to have them decline me paying them over $$40,000 for a luxury lemon vehicle. Something is off there. Weird. I never expected a used car lot, especially one trading in lemon titled cars, to be a paragon of virtue or without the usual up charging attempts. But to entice customers, in my case from over 3 hours and 45 minute away, with false depictions of their products, purchasing costs, and buying terms is not a recipe for happy/satisfying transactions. I blew an entire day getting down there, subjecting myself to their slow revelation of their methods of up charging, and arriving back home past midnight. The biggest issue and the reason this place should be avoided is the bait and switch pricing. The vehicle was listed online at one price, but when I showed up, they suddenly claimed the car was $7,000 more due to "reconditioning." That excuse is a joke. The car they sold me had a non working AC and failing hood struts, so clearly no meaningful reconditioning was done. Charging thousands extra for work that was never done is flat out deceptive. I tried to finalize the deal before coming in, but they insisted I had to be physically present. They claimed no knowledge of this, despite providing me with the report. When challenged, they claimed miles vs. kilometers conversion despite the car having been sold entirely within the US. And even so, the conversion was incorrect. I expect them to respond to this post with an apology as they have to all the other negative posts. I saw a car on the dealer's website and went in to test drive and planned to purchase with cash on the day. I was shocked that the price out the door quoted to me was more than $13,000 over what was on the website. I was told that there were transportation and dealer fees not listed, and that the website price was only available if I financed through their lender. After I walked out the door given these practices, I received one to two phone calls a day from them for several weeks afterward. Needless to say, I did not do business with them. read more

This place will add on a bunch of add ons you literally just declined and you won't realize it until you are half way done signing. Then when you complain they will basically tell you too bad it's already been done. Apparently the owner puts coating on all of the cars and then will have the employees charge thousands of dollars for it. Other dealerships make that optional but not here I guess. This place deserves 0 stars and should be shutdown for fraud. There are way more reasonably priced less shady dealerships. Don't waste your time or money. read more

If you want to get scammed for a car this is a great place to do that. They will add on a service and transportation fee for thousands of dollars even though that is their choice to buy it at an auction and transport it. They are super slow, maybe thats just a tactic to piss people off or maybe they are. We wanted to pay off in full and they wanted us to finance and we did. Absolutely disappointing experience. I called to speak with a salesperson and Kris refused to transfer me. I asked for an out the door price (purchase contract) before making a 6 hour drive and was told they would not provide one. I also asked for higher resolution photos because the ones posted are too small to see details and that was refused too. I even asked if the charging cable comes with the hybrid since it is not shown in the photos and was told, "I don't know, if it doesn't come with one we will get you one." That did not give me much confidence. It is frustrating when you are a serious buyer ready to spend money and the dealership will not provide basic information. read more

I went in for a 2023 jeep wrangler online price $33k but once i sat down; the sale men named Mustafa added a bunch of bullshit fees that racked up to $51k. So a car that was made when Biden was president somehow has a tariff fee??? And a bunch of other bs fees. Do not ever buy a car from this place. I was in there for roughly four hours to buy a Tesla for $24,555. Pre-approved by Capital One already. After round one they came back with the total financed of $41000, with $5000 in hidden "shipping and dock" fees and $9000 in warranties. We obviously said no and left. On the way to our car Skylar came out to us before we could leave and he said they could do that deal. Three hours later we went into to finalize the deal and low and behold, they changed the price on the car to $27,000. Now mind you, they didn't only change the price on our paperwork. Someone ACTUALLY went on their website and changed the price to the new price. Then they tried to convince myself and my wife that we were mistaken on the price. Unfortunately for them, the internet is forever. They couldn't change it on the dozens of other cars sites out there. When we were leaving the manager literally shouted "Why don't you be a man and come back and negotiate." This is the people you have to deal with there. We chose not to.
