Well we did not meet the queen or for that matter see the queen. We did meet the overworked owner, a super nice guy from Southampton which is a big English city on the coast. As to what we saw; a super busy place with smiling faces and empty plates, tables packed and people lined up waiting for a table as they looked at the very English menu. You guessed it, fish and chips, shepherds pie (delicious), curry, even a full English breakfast! There is a great bar, tables and outdoor seating. There was no shortage of English beers and ale (a few American beers as well) When you get a table and are ready to order it's time to go to the end of the bar and place your food and drink orders. All the food is freshly and locally sourced, cooked to order and well worth the wait. Food and drinks are very reasonably priced, The nuts: yum, the homemade hummus: smooth and possibly the best in the area. Dress is casual, park across the road in the library or up a block at the barber shop. Strongly recommend this small English enclave! read more

I didn't like it as much as I wanted to. It was smaller than expected. Having visited numerous pubs all over the UK, my expectations may have been too high. It was obviously a converted auto repair shop, it still had two big bay garage type doors. I had the shepards pie, my wife had a burger. She loved her burger. I didn't like mine as much. To be fair, I think the issues I had with the pie were mine, my wife tasted it and said it was fine. Good beer selection. Owner and staff were very friendly. Overall, just OK. I don't think I would drive all the way out to Enon for a second visit. read more

I can't believe I'm only just learning about The Last Queen!! I'm a HUGE fan of a full English breakfast and theirs was SO YUMMY! I would have taken a picture but I was so excited, I totally forgot! We sat at the bar. If you sit at a regular table, everything has to be ordered through the bar. Otherwise, the bar seats are full service. The decor and music set the perfect ambience for a delightful Sunday breakfast. The big garage doors were open to their beautiful patio. It's very clear the owners have a lot of pride in their pub. The staff were efficient and very friendly. Excellent Bloody Marys! I'm already looking forward to returning to try the dinner menu!! What a find! This is a slice of the best of Britain, tucked snugly away in a pocketed slot right on the main drag in the secretly-hip hamlet of Enon, OH. The food is fantastic -- I loved my Shepherd's Pie, and my wife raved about the vegetarian options. A range of excellent beers and wines, fantastic service, and a welcoming atmosphere sealed the deal. And you gotta try the toffee pudding (served w/vanilla ice cream)...it's good enough to draw you in if all you want is dessert! It's a short-to-reasonable drive from anywhere in the Dayton area. Just 15 minutes from Yellow Springs, so it'a going to be a regular stop for us from now on! read more

The service was a 5, Ambiance was a 4 and the food was a 2. We got the full English breakfast and weren't really impressed. The sausage was really dry and the baked beans definitely came from a can. Ate lunch here with a friend last week. I always love a good club sandwich, and this was pretty good. I asked for crisp bacon but it was fatty on the ends so I just cut it off. My big complaint though was the french fries. As soon as I bit into one all I could taste was fish...so I'm guessing the fries and the fish are cooked in the same fryer. Yuck. The Last Queen? More like the ONLY QUEEN. Someone tell the King at BK lounge that there's a new, more spicy, more tender, and more srump-diddily-icious piece of meat in town. I'm quivering in my tiny little shoes just thinking about her. Since my first meal at the Last Queen, I haven't stopped cumin in. (Only the ones who can handle the heat will get that one ). I've been eating ever single one of my meals at the "yummy little garden" since March 19th, 2019 and I've never felt better. In fact, I lost 45lbs, divorced my wife, and moved in with my one-eyed friend Ulysses. I'm much happier now and I've began doing the things I could only dream of when I was with her. Karate lessons, a fresh hair cut, and 40mg of pcp later and I'm killing it in the dojo. Discipline takes courage. I've eaten here a few times and am never disappointed. Last time, there for breakfast. Unless you're really, really hungry, don't order 2 stacks of pancakes. One is sufficient & quite delicious. There are several varieties to chose from. I'm told the Full English Breakfast lives up to what it should. Food & service are spot on. The owner is very personable and visits w/ each customer to ensure all is right. Parking is a challenge, but workable. Hoping to go back soon. read more
