This is for the fluff and fold service not the laundromat which I have used and it was very nice, staff helpful, and clean-highly recommend except parking is limited. But that is experience is how this is even 2 stars. The fluff and fold service has been an entirely different story. I even gave it a 2nd chance.. First time- I scheduled a pickup after a long trip so had a lot. I realized I had questions and needed another laundry bag so I took the laundry and asked if I could just drop it off rather than it get picked up. I was told no problem, he'd just change it on my order so the drivers didn't come to pick it up. I asked if I could buy 2 of the large laundry bags because I had 2 full in the car plus a full basket of clothes not in bags. I was sold two of the (granted very nice) handled medium bags and told they didn't have (the less expensive) large bags. I then walked next door to wash my blankets and saw staff giving two people the large bags and more in the vending machine. While washing the blankets I got a message that the drivers were on way for pickup. I went back to double check so a driver didn't come and was told it was just automated text. I went home only to have drivers ring my doorbell for the pickup. Then 30 minutes later I received a message my order was cancelled because no laundry. I was running errands so I stopped in person because the order was cancelled on the site/app too..and they had ALL my clothes. After some back and forth and calls to their other facility they found my clothes and I was told it was back in system. Cut to next day and I get message my order has processed -- I look at total and it does not include the first-time promotion that had been in previously. I call and am told this is my second order. Except it isn't. They just created a 2nd order after wrongly cancelling my first order. Eventually I'm told I will get a refund for the promotion and that my laundry was out for delivery. Cut to a couple hours later and I receive a message it has been delivered (no knock or doorbell this time), I go to look except I can't open my apartment door!..I'm literally trapped inside because the hanger items were on my door handle and across the door jam with the bags against them. I had to call building security to help me get out..only to discover that a whole set of hanging items were missing AND that my random laundry bags that I had brought in were replaced with the large branded ones I was told weren't available the day before. After a call that was more reassuring than previous conversations I received a call back that the driver would return shortly with the now located missing clothes. In the meantime, I began to unpack the clothes and found that while many things had been hung up a number of button downs and linen items had been folded tightly so needed steamed but I had not specified those not be. The missing clothes did get delivered quickly. Second try..I received promo texts and the neighbors who had first recommended trying them out convinced me to give it another shot. This time I just let it get picked up and I added the additional instructions asking that button downs and pants not be folded. This time I also just had their two branded medium handled bags I had purchased in lieu of the unavailable large regular bags -I labeled the one bag as hang to dry and included many of the hangers from the last time as the bag was only half full (and included that in all the order notes). The other bag was very full --however last time it was the two full medium bags plus 1.5 very full large bags. But I received the total this time and the weight is MORE than last time??? Then I walked up to the delivery at my apartment and the hanging clothes are blocking both my door and my neighbors' across the hallway floor (picture) and as I am unpacking them finding button downs and linen pants etc folded plus the regular folded items are folded in three different ways, directions..one of the whole reasons to do the service is can just put them away but now I have to refold 2/3 of the shirts. read more

I used to come here a lot but now I dont need to.However I stop coming because after I complaint about Juan one of the managers he doesn't treat me well when I go there .I had to wash my comforter and the machine was full of others people detergent and I didnt realized. I had to come back to re do the laundry again and Juan was asking me questions like he didnt believe me and doubting what I was saying.He thinks he is the owner.Luckliy another employee by the name of Ron was there the day I washed my clothes . .Managment need to talk to Juan and asking him to be more helpful and less cynical with clients.After all we all have to keep coming back and deal with him.every time.He is not vey customer service oriented.I will not be coming back if Juan is there. read more

Love this place!!! The big $12 machines literally fit four loads it's amazing. I always spend about $30-$40 but I do my laundry once every two months, I know I KNOW! But it's nice you can get it all done in two-three hours. There's always a machine open, they have rolling carts thank gosh. There's always staff is so friendly, there's even a vending machine with supplies if you forget something as well as the ability to pay through the app so no quarters hallelujah!!!! read more

Pretty neat spot to get all your laundry including the heavy loads done! Pro tip: if it's your first time make sure you get the extra bonus credit that they promise before loading up your card with more money. Also the dryer is pretty cheap so be conservative in how much you need for that. You can always add more money if you need to but I'm pretty sure you can't get money back after you purchase credit. They have a pretty small parking area thats free so I love that. It is small and stays pretty busy so if you don't find a spot, just give it another 5min or so. The machines are pretty diverse in size which is always nice. read more

Returned to the Santa Monica location this afternoon and got very helpful assistance from Liberty. Once again, he showed that Big waves places value on good customer service. When he wasn't helping customers he was busy cleaning the washers and drying machines Thank you, Liberty! Note to management: Some of the dryers are not as hot as they might be. When one takes out the laundry from the dryer it should feel a bit warm which it does from some machines but not others--even when on a hot load! Overall a great place to do laundry. read more

I can't in good conscience recommend this establishment for having your clothes dry cleaned. I've had my clothes dry cleaned many different places but this one takes home the trophy for least accommodating. Other places when I point out a stain or an issue they say oh that's no problem, we're not sure if we can get it out but we'll definitely try. The young manager, his name starts with a J but I can't remember it, makes you feel like it's an ordeal to deal with legitimate issues. I came back after discovering that several of my clothes still had stains on them and J told me that they can't guarantee the stain will come out, which is fine, and it took lots of going back and forth before he agreed to have them redo it. Other places I've been to have immediately accommodated me. What prompted me to review is I just picked up my clothes and lo and behold, they still have the stain, completely undiminished. Again other places I've taken my clothes to, may not have been able to get the stain out but they try until it's at least less noticeable. Not here. I'm not even going to bother going back to have it fixed, it would likely require another round of going back and forth and it's just too much of a hassle. For the price they're charging, I would expect my clothes to come back flawless. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. read more

Ehhh the laundry attendant (short bald man with glasses) that runs this place is a bit odd. He kept talking to us and made us feel weird with the comments he was making. Additionally, we saw him speak rudely to another customer and it was uncalled for. Poor customer service. Washers were fairly expensive and it's only 5 mins of spin wash. I wouldn't recommend coming here. It's a waste of money. read more

It's so fast and convient. They constantly are washing the machines and tables to make sure you have a clean space to work. Doing my laundry at Big Waves Laundromat has become a part of my weekend ritual. The facility is super clean and well maintained. I live in a complex where the washer and dryer is frequently out of order and also not thoroughly washing or drying my clothes. I've never had to wait for a machine-- even during peak times. There's a team member Alex, who I see ALL THE TIME... and he is always making sure that the facility is clean, all the machines are working, and being attentive to all the customers. This is the best laundromat ever! Super clean for the most part except sometimes closer to closing time. The staff is exceptional and always consists of gentleman who are incredibly kind considerate courteous and respectful. I love the coinless app system and they also offer coin service too. My apartment has shared laundry but I find myself coming here anyways because the facilities are so nice. The Mar Vista location is great too. On 12/3/25 I dropped off 5 bathmats at Blue Waves Laundromat on Santa Monica Blvd. I was given an estimate of $41.25. I picked up the mats the next day but there were only 4 mats and they charged me $70.50. I asked for a credit for the lost bathmat but all I got was a 25% credit on my next order. I explained that because they had lost a bathmat I would never use their services again. So the credit was useless to me. The guy behind the counter just smiled. By far one of the most well-kept and up to date laundromat I've been too. They also have fluff and fold but not sure if it's delivery and pick up service with that. Parking is limited but in an attached parking lot. They have a restroom for customers only that's clean with the soft toilet paper You can use quarters or an app to pay for the machines and they also have an atm. Before coming to Big Waves, I've never done my laundry at a laundromat before. But the laundry at my apt broke so I decided to give Big Waves a try after a quick google search. I didn't know what to expect but this place is amazing!! There's so many machines so I've never had a problem finding an open one. The machines are also so powerful, they really get the job done fast! They have different washers depending on the size of your load and they range from 1-6 loads I believe. I used the 3 load washers which are $5.25. The dryers are $0.25 per 5 minutes. The service is also superb! The staff is super nice and friendly. They're constantly checking on their customers to see if anyone needs helps. They even brought me a chair while I was waiting. The store is maintained very nicely and kept clean throughout. The only thing is the parking lot is small, but it hasn't caused any issue. There's always a few empty spots when I've been! I'll definitely be coming back :) read more

I accidentally used the wrong settings on my first load, but Alan was super helpful in terms of restarting the machine and showing me how to work the machine for next time. A week ago Wednesday a tree fell and came though the ceiling in my apartment. Am staying at a hotel until the building until is repaired and the power back on. Looked online and found there was a laundromat, Big Waves Laundromat, six blocks from the hotel. Walked down to Big Waves Laundromat this morning after breakfast. The five stars are for the three ladies working there. They helped me solve the mystery of the soap dispenser (there are no prices on the soap dispenser) and helped me again when a quarter (that I got from the change machine) got stuck in the top loading washer I was using. It might be nice if there were more places to sit while waiting for your laundry to be done. There were only two benches by the washing machines on the west side of the building. A woman who was using many of the washing machines on that side had piled up many of her things on those two benches although there was plenty of room for her things on top of the washing machines, which are front loaders. She added to her unique charms by blasting her cell phone on speakerphone so everyone around could hear both sides of her conversation. Once upon a time people used to go into phone booths and close the door when they wanted to make a phone call. All I wanted to do was sit somewhere and read while my clothes were being washed and dried. Although Big Waves Laundromat has no control how people behave, Big Waves Laundromat does have control over how many places there are to sit. Looked like there may be more places for seating by the two front windows. read more

My washing machine at home was broken and the repair would take at least a week so I searched on yelp looking for a good deal as well as a company with a lot of positive reviews. Took 30 pounds of laundry and they did an excellent job and had it ready the very next day. In July 2025 I was temporarily displaced from my condo while it was undergoing fumigation and also needed a place to do laundry. Living in West LA I decided to give Big Waves Laundromat a try on an early Thursday morning around 6:30AM. As a first timer, staff attendant Joe was there to greet me and explained the various differences in washers along with how to pay. I chose to pay via the Speed Queen app and it is well integrated into all the laundromat machines. And texts you when you just have a few minutes left on your washer or dryer. Also took advantage of the $5 bonus credit for first time users. Dryers are huge and reasonably priced. Joe gave expert instructions on how to use everything which is essential for those users new to the process. Also a very convenient location with a nearby Starbucks and CVS pharmacy store. Even though my condo has washers and dryers, they are relatively small and can't really handle larger items like heavier blankets. For those bigger items, I will certainly be returning to BIg Waves. Also, if my condo's washers are busy and/or out of service...Big Waves I am coming your way! read more

This continues to be a wonderful site to do your laundry, except for the parking, which is a minor nuisance. The costs are fair with many different machines for different loads. For the owner, Wade, Mr. Ray middle name David, was magnificent, especially on an extremely busy Sunday. I recently moved to Santa Monica and my place doesn't have a washer or dryer. This is the first time I've ever had to use a laundromat. What I thought would be a annoying experience turned out to be actually quite pleasant. There are always machines available and the staff are so helpful especially Joe. Parking is a bit of a pain, but it hasn't been too big of an issue. I've now grown to love my routine of doing laundry at big waves. Thank you for your wonderful service!
