They kept the chips coming and the salsa was pretty good as well. I had some really good enchiladas with a side of good old refried beans. The cheese was pretty thick and gooey! Nothing lazy about the staff at this restaurant...they hustle and take care of their patrons well whether there are two of you or twelve. The chips are served warm with delicious salsa. Every time I pass by this place or the one in Moore, it's packed! So I'm like.. they probably have super good Mexican food. Anyway, it was Halloween weekend and it was still kinda busy (Saturday night). We ordered 2 of the special margaritas for $3. And to my surprise, they were strong! My ideal kind of drink haha. I ordered a steak and shrimp platter and my boyfriend ordered carne asada fajitas. Like all Mexican restaurants, they give our chips and salsa and we definitely got carried away with that. My steak and shrimp was pretty good. Idk why I was expecting my steak to be cooked medium rare like how steaks place do it. But it came out cooked. But it was flavorful so that's okay! The shrimp was good as well. I actually liked my boyfriends dish more than mine. His was more tender and the sauce on it was yummy. I'd recommend his dish! Overall this place is pretty good. The original one is way better. This was a first visit to the new location...even though closer to our house we will venture the extra .5 mile. Our salsa not refilled after multiple requests. Flour tortillas that was to come with our meal...had to ask for multiple times. Then they came out hard. Chips were refilled at a snails pace leaving our cheese dip to get cold. Unfortunately this experience has us making the decision to go to the original location. read more

I have to give 4 stars because of the Hawaiian fajitas!! Just get them, you won't be disappointed! It comes with chicken, shrimp, and steak and is IN A PINEAPPLE. They are covered in cheese so yeah, I'm a fan. The white queso is also delicious! I'm usually not a huge queso person but their is white and creamy and probably my favorite queso overall. You do have to pay for it (which most people around here aren't used to) but I'd happily shell out the few bucks in order to get this tasty cheese dip instead of some nasty, watered down Velveeta bs that people seem so obsessed with . The flour tortillas are fresh and homemade, and the salsa is really good too. I usually judge a place based on the salsa and tortillas and they pass my freshness test! The shrimp cocktail here is also fantastic, authentic and zesty with a lot of avocado! PRO TIP: ask for the spicy salsa (habanero I think?) it is yummy and definitely has a kick!! As for service and ambiance, it can be hit or miss. They always seem super friendly, however we have had items forgotten about more than once. I understand how hard it can be when you're busy so it's not a problem for me. They always have a great attitude and that's far more important to me than gently reminding someone about some little thing. The bar is pretty typical although they did just add a drink menu with different margaritas on it! And the overall price here is GREAT. read more

The Fajitas Hawaiian are Heaven and the presentation is just adorable. I mean who doesn't want their fajitas served in a pineapple? The mangorita was sooooo delicious and they have the best white queso. I wasn't super impressed with their chips, they are very hard and kinda bland and the salsa was average. The tortillas were good. The service however, was not good. I had to ask for a straw twice and we ordered two orders of queso and they forgot about us and we had to remind them. By the time we got our queso our food had already arrived. They also served two people at our table way before the rest of us and we all ordered at the same time. They also didn't ask if we wanted to go boxes, we had to track someone down to get those. And I wasn't too crazy about the atmosphere. But the food is good so it's great for a quick bite. read more

Love this place! It's clean the service is good, my husband and I like to go to just have some nachos a drink and just hang out ... The food is delicious!!! Why does it seem like no "Mexican food" in Oklahoma serves queso? It's always "cheese dip", and tastes like melted powder cheese! The prices here were decent, but the food was very bland. We finished the basket of chips, and were never brought another basket. They charged us an extra $3.99 for "enjoying their chips and salsa" because my wife and I shared a dinner, but there were four of us dining, and my wife didn't even have any of the chips. They didn't bring the tortillas out with our meal, we had to ask for them. The waitress never came back, and seemed to be rushing us out as soon as we finished our food. Didn't even ask if we wanted anything else. Then we had to stand up at the counter to wait for someone to come up there so we could pay. read more

First time eating here. I wanted to support a local restaurant during this COVID-19 Pandemic. I ordered (2) Chicken Fajita and (2) Chicken Enchiladas with flour tortillas & sour cream sauce meals. I was handed a big brown paper grocery bag with all of my food in it after paying the $52+ for our food. Got home and pulled everything out to feed the family. One of the chicken enchilada meals was missing. I pulled out my receipt to look at it to see if I was charged for it all or not. To my surprise the receipt is a generic copy with only the total cost on it not itemized out like most are now days. At first he told me it would cost me an additional $9 for the Chicken Enchilada meal and I told him I had no idea what I was actually charged for and not but $52 should have covered my meals and the man went and pulled the original ticket or hand written order slip Idk which but he told me to just come back and he would have it ready for me. He even gave me an additional chips, slasa and queso, so that was extremely nice. I showed back up and was quickly given my missing meal plus free chips salsa and queso within minutes out the drive thru window. They were extremely nice and accommodating. The reason I didn't give a 5 star I think is pretty self explanatory. It was of course because they left off a meal and made me have to get back out but also because they left my wifes corn tortillas out too and they only gave us (3) measily tortillas with our fajita meals. Not even close to being nearly enough for the amount of chicken fajita fixings they give you. I just hope this was a bad night and a fluke. I definitely will give them another try since the food was great and we all are having to adjust to a new way of life. Now its incumbent upon myself to recall next time to ask for more tortillas in the future and to also check over all of my meals before I leave the location. Wink! Wink! We ordered the Queso Fundido as an appetizer which isn't very much food for $10. Pretty overpriced. The food was okay. The salsa is like Pace picante sauce not fresh homemade salsa. You have to pay for cheese sauce. The chips were hard. The service wasn't good. Took forever to get our entrees. Had to ask for water refills. Our server never came to ask if we needed anything else. Didn't explain to us that we needed to pay at the front. Basically they should call this the Lazy A** Donkey bc the service was lame & the food was mediocre. Decided to try out this new location they have another restaurant just a mile east of this place and its always packed. The service was good and the restaurant was clean. They brought out chips and salsa which was very tasty. The chips were warm and the salsa had a good spice to it. They do not serve free cheese sauce with the chips nor did we get complimentary relish or flour tortillas. The drinks are served in very large glasses and they did give free refills. The food was good and large portions. This is very different tasting than the other Tex-Mex restaurants but it was good and I will probably give it another try. read more

Ribeye topped with grilled onions and peps. I got the little of everything, which includes a tostada, tamale, taco, chili relano and enchilada. My tamale and enchilada was meh and my chili rellano was cold. Almost like it was prepped before and then thrown under a broiler when someone orders it, which is fine but it was still cold in the middle, and the fried batter was soft. Kids shared a soft taco meal and they seemed to like it. Service was also blah. We asked for queso, but it took so long that it came out with our meal, after the food was dropped off, we had to flag her down for drink refills, Togo box and couldn't find her anywhere for a good 15 minutes after we had been waiting sometime for our check. The food looked ok, but it tasted old. I ordered the Hawaiian Fajitas. The pineapple was not fresh and it was completely gutted. Only a few pieces mixed in. The outside of pineapple was very dark and you could tell by the leaves it was old and tasted moldy. The meat inside was cold as well and you could tell it was cooked way beforehand. I had it replaced by the T-bone steak and shrimp. The steak had a wang to it and was definitely cooked way before I got there. The tomatoes and onions, also tasted old. I think the way they store their food in the fridge is incorrect or their fridge is dirty. The food tasted like in old smell had marinated into it. They most likely need to separate their meat and produce in refrigerator. Plus properly wrap and store each food item. Already cooked food should be dated and discarded when not sold. I would not recommend this place. It did make me sick to my stomach. Not to mention they do not give you queso with chips. The chips hurt your teeth when you chew and do not taste good. Plus we never received a refill. With the catering van parked outside and the restaurant having two locations I expected so much more from them. I love real authentic Mexican food and I promise you this place is horrible. There are plenty of taco trucks around OKC that taste much better. read more
