I needed a landing done so I had them over because my neighbor recommended them. It took them a while to respond but she said they did good work for her so I have them a shot. When Sean finally came over we talked about the project I wanted to do, which now had grown into doing the patio as well. I also had him give me an estimate for my driveway and an additional walkway. When I finally got the estimate and decided to move forward it took them weeks to get back to me. Finally I got a call back and Haley came by my place to confirm what pavers I wanted. She then sends me a new quote and tells me that the quote they originally gave me did not include the landing and they had to charge me an additional $1800 to do it. I could not believe it. After months of trying to get this project done and confirming with Sean that they were doing the landing and the patio she would pull tips on me. She reminded me that the project was smaller than what they usually do" she said they had misquoted me and had not included the original thing I had called them for and because I did not have the conversation in writing that I had to pay more. Haley made me feel that because y project was small that it didn't matter to the company. I told her that we would use them again but it didn't matter. I am so disappointed and hurt because I confirmed with Sean several times they were doing the landing. I even asked for a sketch of what it would look like and they said that they don't do that. At this point I had lost confidence and decided to cancel the whole thing. Haley replied "she was not going to eat $1800 it's probably for the best". Please if you decide to deal with these folks question everything in writing. I wasted four months trying to get a simple landing and patio done. read more

I am surprised to see that LPG has no yelp reviews (but tons on Diamond Certified website). I am happy to be the first reviewer for them here on Yelp. Long story short, decided to redo my driveway and my backyard, emailed my project to 4 companies around my area, LPG was the first one to get in touch with me within 24 hours. I scheduled an on site appt, Stan showed up, vey nice man, knowledgable, knows what he is doing. He showed me some samples of jobs they completed. Measured everything and provided me with an estimate within couple of days. Price is reasonable compared to the other 3 bids I got, but Stan left me with such nice impression, I decided to hire LPG to do the job. After that, Hayley, they owner took over from Stan. She scheduled another meeting with me, looked at the driveway and backyard, help me picked out the color and style of the paver then we set up a start date. Due to the fact that I have a gate on the drive way, Hayley coordinated with the gate ppl so they can work at the same time and not delay the project. Job took a while to complete (at time of this review, it is about 90% done) due to some permit and gate company scheduling issues, but LPG did a great job, the back yard took about 10 days to finish and it now looks great and the 90% finished driveway looks amazing. I will upload some before and after photos after it is 100% finished. Overall nothing but praise for LPG and its owner Hayley. She gets things done quickly, when there is an issue, she solves it right away. This is kind of person I like to work with. Great job! read more

Legacy Paver used to be called the European Paving Company. They installed a driveway and walkway to my home. They added a drain in front of the garage. The work was extensive and costly but at the time I believed it was worth the expense. I like the pavers, they hold up well and when you need access you can remove and replace them in areas where roots are pushing up the walkway or where you need to get to underground plumbing. European Paving Company/Legacy was my first experience with this kind of home improvement project. What I learned was that the drain they installed was too close to the opening to the garage and resulted in water getting under the door in wet winters. Knowing what I know now, I would have moved it back by the depth of two stones. I would also have considered the ongoing cost of spraying the pavers to prevent weeds from growing in the cracks. The drain is a significant error the pavers a minor consideration. My only complaint about the company is that in recent years when I have tried to obtain information about the brand of pavers they installed and I have reached out via email and phone I have gotten zero responses to my calls. This seems unprofessional. More recently I wanted to obtain a bid to add a 120 square foot path from the sidewalk to the the house and not a single call or email has been returned to say if they are even interested in the work. This seems extremely unprofessional. At the very least a referral to a contractor that does smaller jobs with the brand of pavers used, would be a respectful consideration. Haley has good color and design sense but if the name change is the reason behind the lack of response to former customers then it is an indication to me that the company lacks respect for customers. I realized I have never given an updated review on yelp after my pavers were installed. My 5 stars STILL remain. I absolutely LOVE this company. I love the estimators, the owners and the workers. My pavers are BEAUTIFUL. 8000 sq feet of pavers roughly. They executed my exact vision, laid out areas to turn my overly large odd shaped gravel driveway into a circular dream. Beverly Hills style. And the winding pathway of charcoal pavers in my back yard is pure perfection. Don't go anywhere else. They are reasonable, timely, enjoyable (so much so we became friends through the venture), as it was such a large project they were at my house for several weeks. Not 1 bad thing to say. I met with Hayley who walked us through the entire process and provided us with excellent design and paver stone options. Before and during the project Hayley was always available to answer any questions we had and regularly stopped by our house to check in. The Legacy Paver Group crew was very polite, professional and clean. They went out of their way to make sure that we were happy which we were the entire time. Installed pavers - walk, stoop & driveway -- 8 months later, the walk pavers started to separate and slide away from the house. also, there was very little to no paver sand on the front stoop - multiple text, emails, and phone calls to them with no response. Finally caught Haley by phone, she did apologize and came out in two days. She said it was from no sand and ants. Said someone would be out to repair it in the next week. That was 4+ weeks ago and no contact from them since. I would not count on any warranty that you have with this company or expect to have them make repairs to their work. In hindsight, it seems the walk should have had a form - at least on the low side - to keep it in place. if you use them -- check to work carefully and have them make repairs before they leave the site. read more

Legacy pavers saved a poorly done job by another contractor. They took apart and removed three separate paver patios, cleaned all of the stones, then reset them professionally and with a much improved design. Had a minor problem after the first year because of earth movement and a crew was immediately sent to deal with it. Strongly recommend Hayley and company. read more

The proposal finally came. However, I am a customer who values responsiveness and communication. I was told the quote would come the same day, then my phone message 4 days later simply went unheeded. Legacy is a gem of a company! Everyone was top-notch, from sales & design, to each skilled worker. They went to great lengths to finish before my houseguests came, and gave personal care and attention to every detail - beautiful workmanship on every stone, moved pots for me, took care with the tree roots, and left the site pristine every night. Haley (owner & designer) gave excellent design advice, and kept in touch through the whole job. Legacy is family owned, and they care. They do big jobs like the Corte Madera shopping center, but still treated my driveway as a high priority. We are thrilled with the results. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Hayley and The Legacy Paver Group. She came highly recommended by our Landscaping company. LPG did a very large cobblestone paver job for us, were speedy with an estimate, much more reasonably priced than other bids and did the job quickly and professionally. Hayley is wonderful to work with and very patient during the estimate and design phase. I was there at the time of the installation, and they asked how I wanted the curvature, and made adjustments at the last minute to my specification. The crew was respectful and hardworking. They put in a lovely channel drain at the bottom that Hayley recommended and looks great. The driveway looks great, blends well with the style of the Victorian style of the house, and we get tons of compliments on it. We had an issue several months after the driveway was completed in which the edging collapsed under a large truck delivery that went over the edge. Hayley's crew came out and fixed it within 2 days without question. This happened once more (we were warned not to have trucks drive over the edge unsupported but delivery truck drivers don't always comply). The 2nd time it happened, I left a message for Hayley and when I came home from work the next day, it was fixed. Again, no questions asked, she just got the job done. read more
