I've been here once, and the atmosphere is just lovely. There's just something about open, outdoor restaurants near the beach. I ordered chicken wings, and my friend ordered a burger. I really like this bar, but the parking is always horrendous. Barring that the only reason for the four stars instead of five is because of the lack of shade or something to help with the heat on the really hot days. There are water stations and umbrellas, but if you're unlucky enough not to get a shaded table then it can be a bit uncomfortable on the hot days. The ambiance and service cannot be beat and it is a unique bar that can only be found in Florida. I cannot comment on the food as I have only ever gone here to drink. This seems like a great place to catch some nightlife, we witnessed a silent disco from our hotel room (which was quite hilarious to view with no sound). Location - 5 stars, right in the beach and you can't beat that. Food - 5 stars, we love their fresh Mayport shrimp and well-seasoned fries. Service - needs improvement. We had lunch on a sunny weekday afternoon. No crowds at all. But a lot of waiting for us. After we got our meal, our server never returned to check on us. We had to wave someone down to get drink refills, extra condiments, and even our bill! I noticed another group bussing their own table. When the wait staff did approach us, their attitude was a genuine "I can't wait to get out of here" without a smile. I wouldn't call it a watermelon drink, it tasted more like lemonade. It was still good, just not what I expected for a watermelon drink. We also ordered some fries, wings, and grilled chicken tenders. It took a while to get the food, but it was all devoured. The overall atmosphere was 10/10. read more

It takes a certain type of fire to match my cool. The Lemon Bar had that fire, this afternoon, which was The Band Be Easy. I wasn't sure if I was going to make it out there but, eventually I made it there fashionably late. Upon arrival, I realized this bar was completely outdoors similar to a backyard patio with a slight; yet, beautiful view of Neptune Beach. It was ridiculously crowded which I would assume is a "given" when there's a great band onstage. But, in this case... the stage wasn't quite a stage... it appeared to have been barely enough leg room for the artists underneath a 5x5 tent. The atmosphere was a mixture of all sorts of vibes, mostly chilled people enjoying great drinks; music; and tasty bites. I had the fried mozzarella sticks; and shareable fish fingers/sticks with my friend, "Emy." The part that I disliked about my experience was ordering my not so peachy, "Peachy Keen," from one of their bar stations that apparently had a line of customers patiently waiting to place their drink orders. Two guys walk up apparently not giving a hoot that there's a line... and guess what. They are served pronto. Hello! Did I miss something? Of course I spoke up for the line that was waiting and received a somewhat lame apology. But, received my drink and later on a hero "home girl" hug and shoutout from the obviously drunk lady that was standing behind me in the line (who later that spotted me chilling with my party.) I guess we became official BarBFF's at that moment. LOL! Overall, to be an outdoorsy establishment, the cleanliness of the patio was not bad at all. The bussers, and wait staff was timely with clearing tables; picking up tabs; taking orders; and distributing food. If I would have known they automatically serve those sitting at tables. I would've saved myself the trip to the bar and just searched for found my party, first. FYI: Finding parking spaces is definitely not easy when it's a lot going on in Neptune. However, the Sea Horse Hotel has $10 public parking in the lot across from them in which I thought was only for the hotel guests but, I didn't realize the Lemon Bar was also part of the hotel. read more

The Lemon Bar is an extremely popular place located on the property of the Seahorse Oceanside Inn on Neptune Beach. It offers a small menu of food and, of course, it's a bar with beer, wine and mixed drinks. It also has live music of varying talents. The bartenders were pleasant, the drinks were average. None of their signature cocktails appealed to me, but the regular ones were fine. (I did not try the food, nor did I see anyone there eating at the time.) The main benefit that I can see for the Lemon Bar is that it is next to the hotel, you can charge drinks to your room (using your credit card deposit), and while you cannot take drinks to the pool or the beach, you can take them into the garden or up to your room. read more

Dropped in on Cinco De Mayo for their specials. We waited for service for 15 mins (no-dice) before walking over to the bar to order. I pointed out to the bartender nicely that I thought the shot pour was a bit light. Her response was that it appeared to be that way since she poured it in a wine cup. For $6 people, I want see what I'm drinking. Many loud people at the bar next to us. I get that there'll be loudness in a place like this but my dB meter crossed 80 consistently. I know the Lemon Bar is an institution at the Beaches, but I'm not to any institutions with bad pours. read more

If you have ever been to Neptune beach you probably know what the Lemon Bar is. It is a STAPLE for locals and a landmark for people visiting. Sometimes there is seats and sometimes you can hardly walk but whatever the case- it is worth it. They have spectacular cocktails and especially for the volume they handle- the drinks are always on point. The Gatorade drink is super popular but my personal favorite is the Lemon Bar Freeze- just try it. When you're fried from the sun (and fried from drinking) their tenders hit hard. It's such a fun experience. There's always people to meet and talk with, literally the beach bar in the area and it's one of a kind. Right on the water! Like 3 min walk from the beach where you won't even have time to dry . This is probably the highest attraction for the Lemon Bar. Their food is pretty typical of "bar and grill food" and your usual summer bar drinks. Overall, the food was good and the drinks were okay! The atmosphere is the best part with a lot of happy folks and live music. If you're in the area, I think this is your best bet! Try their frozen drinks and appetizers . Lemon Bar is definitely a top tier beach bar. The Lemon Bar Freeze and Cherry Limeade are my go-to drinks! I have been to Lemon Bar several times on trips to Jacksonville and it never disappoints. The vibe is nice and servers are generally attentive. If you are looking for somewhere to chill out before or after hitting the warm Jacksonville Beach sand, this is the place to go! I told him to get a top shelf, because mine was not that good. So, for two dollars more, it is worth it. His was so much better tasting than mine. I've been here several times to hear Khalani sing & I've always had a great time. I believe when we were about to head back to our room, a band was about to play. We were tire, we went ahead to our room to cool off and relax. We could hear the band from our room, if we opened the sliding glass door on our balcony. My last tip:this place is for everyone, but the majority of guests are young, loud and energetic. Fun place to be, for sure. Sunscreen might be advised, if you come during the day. Due to COVID, you must get food on your tab to dine. Great outdoor seating! Tried a piña colada with the kraken rum floater and it was super strong!! It mostly tasted like rum so next round I tried the pineapple jalapeño margarita & it was a hit!! Way better than my first drink!! It does have a kick and is fairly strong also but the liquor taste is hidden so be careful not to gulp it down. I had the fish sandwich and fries which had a delicious, fresh, juicy, thick piece of mahi mahi!! My wife had the two different types of shrimp tacos and while both were great she enjoyed the on with queso more! Not sure why this place doesn't have better reviews but I definitely enjoyed this cute little local spot!! We walked an hour in the sand for this place and we walked an hour back - well worth it! Atmosphere - excellent - beachy, fun, upbeat, well shaded in most areas. CLEAN. They have a code you can scan so you don't have to touch a menu and they have one-use menus if you don't have your phone with you. Staff - friendly, outstanding service, they gave extra attention to no-touch operations during COVID19 protocols. We went on a brutally hot day and the waitresses went out of their way to accommodate us and make sure we had great service. They were all masked, but I never saw them touch their masks or take them off despite the fact they had beads of sweat on their faces. Drinks - great beachside cocktails. Traditional to not so traditional selection. Served in plastic cups, but you can't take them with you because they don't allow open containers on the beach. Pina coladas were excellent. Food - our table ordered the coconut shrimp appetizer, club sandwich, Caesar salad with fish, and fish tacos. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Great drop-in lunch spot. OK, I am going to have to give them a chance on a better day, as it was so windy and chilly today. We had heard lots of good reviews from friends about this spot, but we did not pick the best day to see what it is all about. That being said, servers were really nice and they seem to work as a team, as we had three different people from start to finish and all were really nice. It is right on the ocean and I am sure in the summer, it is the place to be. It is a total beach bar with bar seating and tables with chairs. They do serve a limited food menu, but we just had a round of drinks and finished watching the Jags game. We will come back once spring rolls around. I can see it being a lot of fun. read more

4 stars for the overall experience. We stopped in for a drink while we waited for a dinner reservation down the street, it had just the right vibe. Limited view of the water but still had the beach vibe going on, very low key and seemed like a popular spot even on a weeknight. It took a while to get our drinks so I had to end up chugging my beer to get to the reservation, but the prices were great and they had many options of food and drink to choose from. We did not eat. Just stopped in for a drink to kill time. Even though I'm 40ish, they still checked ID at the door. I appreciate that. Lol They say to seat yourself. We chose to sit outside facing the beach. The place is bright and open with lots of tables outside and plenty of umbrellas for shade. The menus are online so you will need your phone to scan the code and open the menu and they do take your card up front to start a tab. I ordered a gin tonic and my husband ordered the bahama bull. My drink tasted great. My husband said the bahama bull was ok but he probably wouldn't choose that next time. Too sweet for him but a good choice if that's what you like. They had a great music playlist going as well. Overall a cool and relaxing place to hang for a bit. Others seemed to be enjoying their food so we will probably come back to have a meal next time. read more

They've got a good location but aside from that I was really unimpressed. Drinks were a joke (SUPER weak), our waiter wasn't attentive at all (he never once came over without us calling him), and the food came out a mess (see pic). Really don't recommend it. On top of it all, they use enough single use plastic to sink a ship, to include single use plastic plates. I guess washing a dish or even just using paper plates is too hard...? For being a spot on the beach I'd think they'd be slightly more eco-conscious. read more
