    Iced Chai

Great place to work and study, as noted by many other Yelpers and myself. The place itself is very spacious, and the workers are friendly. There's a few outlets but many work tables for people to drink/eat and spend a day out of home and out of office. My friend and I were able to snag a table, and while a majority of the tables remained full throughout the day, there was always space for someone new to come in and work. I recently tried their Iced Chai on a weekday afternoon and loved the flavoring and how sweet it was. I was planning on eating dinner at another place, so I wasn't able to try out any of their foods. I'm interested in coming back for their Happy Hour, as their Margherita Pizza and Caramelized Mushroom Pizza both sound quite appetizing!

Ordered the bkfst burrito without salsa verde and it was still good, happy that it was chicken chorizo!! I don't eat pork. T The aesthetics, Vibes, atmosphere is everything! If I didn't have to work 4 days in the office now and I learned about this cafe sooner, I would have been working here everyday! There's also a child care 3 mins away(driving) that I am going to check out so I can drop off my girls to pre-school. There are outlets for your laptops on the floor, 2 options for WiFi and 4 different menus all day! Bkfst, lunch, happy house 3-6, dinner 100% recommend coming to check it out, pop open your laptop or even grabbing a meal with your family/ friends Downside, I came here around 9:30am and the parking is packed. I parked a nice walk away Rating this a 4 star so there are better parking options. Other than, service, food and ambiance is fireeee

Came to here to get work done. It was a Monday and there definitely some seat available. The place has a lovely view that makes it motivating to get work done here. You can also order food and drinks here while you get work done here. There's also meeting room spaces. Broccoli Pizza (3/5): This pizza was pretty bland and it tasted like to was mostly crust. It would help to add more white sauce. Overall I'll probably come here again to get work done, but probably won't get more food

I came on a Friday morning at 8am (opening) and no one was here. Even at 11:30am, still plenty of tables left, but mostly communal. Fairly large indoor seating area and a few tables outside as well. They play music inside, so it may not be the best to take calls, but you can go outside to take any calls. The bathroom is fairly nice as well and there are sanitizer dispensers throughout the area. The service was great, shoutout to Hai Tien. Tables are cleaned regularly and food is brought to your table. WiFi was good, and I was able to take a few work calls with little to no lag. The breakfast burrito and latte were good - not amazing but definitely gets the job done! As others have said, parking lot is on the smaller side so you may potentially have some trouble finding parking on a busy day.

The Lighthouse is an impressive establishment with plenty of outlets and a good WFH vibe. I ordered: + Matcha Latte with Oatmilk and Lavender [4/5] + Mac & Cheese [5/5] + Side Salad [4/5] The matcha latte was pretty good, nothing too fancy but still pretty creamy and sweet. The Mac & Cheese is SOO worth it! I thought it was a great portion size for the price, and comes with ample sauce and crunchy breadcrumbs! The Side Salad is a pretty average salad but also a good portion size for the price.

Very nice big space to work/study. It's tucked in-between a bunch of biotech companies so it's definitely a spot where you are specifically coming for this place only, unless you work in the area. They do have a bunch of parking spots which is a plus. Very open space with many tables, outlets on floors, and lots of natural lighting. They serve breakfast/lunch as well as drinks which is a plus! (They even have tap beer haha) They do close at 3pm though so this is not a place for late afternoon/night studying. Broccoli pizza: 3.5/5 surprisingly pretty good Iced Chai Latte: 4/5 perfectly sweetened, it was good Side note: Their bathroom was super nice, clean, and looks a little boujee.

Beautiful, spacious cafe. Situated walking distance from the South SF Caltrain, so the transportation there is quite easy. There didn't seem like a lot of parking spaces available so parking could be a bit difficult. The cafe is very bright and almost everyone at the small tables there were there to work, which I feel motivated as a result. I got a latte and the price is super reasonable. The latte is decent. There were also food menu but I didn't get any food. Overall, the experience is positive! Great ambiance as well!

    Lots of space, gorgeous tree!

Great place for a weekday lunch or working coffee! Quiet, clean, and calm with plenty of spacious laptop-friendly tables and fast wifi. The food is fresh and healthy. I recommend the soups and the hummus! The only thing is parking can be a little confusing - the lighthouse specific parking lot is very small, and in the opposite lot there are a few rows that are for other businesses only. But there are a few rows that don't have any signs, so I parked there.

I saw this place on Instagram (an influencer I follow came here) and so I had to--but it took time! I don't have a car in SF and was wondering how to get here. Luckily for me, I was car-sitting and came down with a friend (another Yelp Elite, Christina L.!) Parking was easy, ample, and free (there's a few EV chargers too!) We admired the surrounding lush greenery and the tall, modern biotech buildings. The Lighthouse building is wooden, modern, and cavernous as well. When you walk in, there's first some side seating and an auditorium--walk to the left of that. There's floor-to-ceiling windows and large doors that open and let in light. There's an outdoor sofa and seating outside, but most people were working, chatting, and sitting inside. Lots of people coworking--lots of outlets here. We each ordered the $8 pistachio cream lattes--I got iced, and Christina got hot. They were good but I didn't taste the pistachio much. The employee said the order didn't print so they forgot our order and we had to go up and remind them. Oh well, we were camped out coworking there for a few hours. They serve alcohol and a lot of sandwiches, salads, and lunch/breakfast items. Will be back to cowork out of. Groups and individuals can rent out the space for larger events.

Spacious and beautiful cafe with high floor to ceiling windows and nice vibes. I have only been here early in the morning, so the parking lot and cafe were relatively empty and quiet which was perfect for working, reading, journaling, or just sipping on something in peace. This place is surrounded by a bunch of (biotech) companies so if you're wondering if your GPS is taking you to the right place once you get off the freeway, don't worry ahah

Gorgeous place! I love the social buzzing atmosphere they have going on here -- makes working here fun. There is plenty of seating and great natural lighting. The staff is super sweet and makes sure they get your order correct. I'll definitely go here to do work again :) and you can get a stamp card for drinks! 2/10 strawberry matcha. I was very excited for this but the matcha came in full colored and the flavor was not there. I got mine with oat milk and it tasted better than if you were to get it with whole milk. The strawberry flavor was also very lacking. When I would usually get strawberry matcha at other places , the strawberry would add a nice tarte flavor. I didn't get any strawberry or tarte flavor. 5/10 grilled cheese and tomato soup. The soup could be a bit more flavorful but I enjoyed it with the grilled cheese. Would be better if there was more to add flavor to my grilled cheese. The grilled cheese was also lacking flavor. I don't know if it was the lack of seasoning or the type of cheese they used. 4/10 Mac and cheese. I love the type of noodles they used as the boodles that did get cheese had cheese inside it. There would've been more cheese sauce (and more cheese type). I don't don't what type of cheese they used but a little cheddar (not white) might help. I was actually looking for salt and pepper because it was very lacking. I would order it again if I bring my own salt and pepper! I will come back again just to continue working in such a gorgeous place. I walk my dog around as there's a really small trail at the front. I want to try their other drinks when I come back :)

I wanted to try new cafe spots to do work at and super glad I found the lighthouse! They have breakfast and lunch options. I ordered a breakfast burrito which came with a salsa. I liked how the panini pressed it and the flavor of the potatoes and peppers. I did feel like the chicken chorizo used was dry and could have e used more seasoning. The space has high ceiling and feels open and gets a good amount of natural light in. The staff member who helped me with my order was friendly.

Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup, Lavender Oat Iced Matcha
    Kristell N.

The Lighthouse has been on my list of coffee spots to visit for a while, and I'm glad I got a chance to go! I read online that parking is hard to find, and when I arrived I luckily found one open space because the lot is super full. It looks like you can also park in other neighboring lots though. There are plenty of tables to sit at, but not all of them have access to charging ports if you plan to do some work there. There is also free wi-fi to connect to. They have a breakfast and lunch menu, and I came around lunch time. Food options for lunch range from salads to pizzas, and I saw they also offer Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup, which I ordered. In addition, I ordered a Lavender Oat Iced Matcha. The Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup is the perfect serving for one person, though I kind of found it a little small. The matcha was great! The flavor and the dark green color were there which indicates good matcha powder was used. I would probably order the same drink again if I come back, or try their iced lattes. You can order your food and drinks at the register, and they will give you a number so they can deliver them to you. The ambiance can range from quiet to loud depending on the people because some are networking and some are attending events that are being hosted next door. Overall, I think it's a great spot to do work at if they are not super busy!

Ask the Community - The Lighthouse

Is this a good place to work?

In my opinion, I think it's a good substitute to a regular cafe. There may be times of high volume and foot traffic, otherwise, I think it should suit well for working.

Is there password protected wifi here?

There is WiFi available! No password needed. See cashier for assistance.

Is there an additional place to park besides the few spots in the front? I tried to go here but could not find parking. I was not sure I was allowed to park at the garage and lot nearby.

You can park out front or in the lot next door! Don' mind the construction ;)

Let's start with the food. My partner and I had the Mexican Hash and Elvis pancakes, respectively. My partner (who is Mexican) was not impressed by the hash, and said it didn't taste very authentic. I enjoyed the Elvis pancakes--named for the fact that they're made with peanut butter, honey, and bananas. The flavor profile was good, but the pancakes were chewy and dry. I enjoyed the flavors, which is the only reason this review is 2 stars instead of 1. Beyond that, the service was not great. Our table was dirty and while the server said she would come clean it for us, she never did. The table only had one set of silverware and I was never brought any during our meal, I had to grab them off of an adjacent table. We were not given water, or asked if we wanted any, and our server checked in on us so infrequently that we had to flag down a different one just to ask for water. The prices were fine. Nothing unusual for the Bay Area, so that was a bonus at least, but there's no way I'm ever going back.

At my seat (depicted) you get live behind the scenes of a kitchen. Me personally, I enjoy watching my food being cooked in front of me, so I enjoyed it. I originally went because of looking at the prices on an image on yelp. It was $16 for sausage, eggs, hash browns, and pancakes. That's a great deal! But, once I got there inflation kicked it up to $18. Not the biggest difference to deter, but just letting everyone know the real price. I got pancakes, eggs, hash browns, and bacon (depicted). The eggs were good, pancakes were very good, hash browns were okay, and the reason for 4 star instead of a 5.... the bacon. The bacon wasn't crispy and cooked to order. It was chewy and I guess they cook it before and then heat it up on the griddle after. It is super noticeable from the taste, but especially from the texture.
