Visited for the first time and it was amazing. Our server explained everything very well and was very attentive and friendly. Most of their ingredients are organic and/or locally sourced from farms. They make almond milk and coconut milk in house and everything is very fresh. Potato hash and açaí bowl both tasted excellent and so did golden milk. Such a good find in Charlotte this weekend! First off, the baristas/waiters were both professional and bubbly. They made SHWAE recommendations that did not disappoint. This place is a trip. It came highly recommended by some local foodies and I am glad I came. The food is fresh as fresh gets and if you are a vegetarian, you have found a haven. Everything we had we great and we enjoyed every bite. Highly recommend using the sauces for the grain bowls and the sandwiches were slapping. I met some friends here for a birthday brunch. We ordered, ate, visited, & paid (tipping well!). But, as we were paying, my 5 month old baby needed to nurse. She had made zero noise, mind you, and was not an issue. But she was hungry. That, too, is a part of a normal breakfast & baby needs fed as well. I put a nursing cover on (that covers everything!) And began to let her have a quick bite. We were planning to leave in a few minutes but she was still eating at that moment. In a couple of minutes, a manager-type (I guess?) approached me and told me we needed to leave since they had a party of 7 waiting. Imagine someone asking you to leave while you were putting a spoonful of food in your child's mouth. It wouldn't happen. Yet, the baby was clearly on my chest, legs hanging out, eating. I thanked him and told him she was feeding on my chest, and as soon as she was done, I would leave. Which I did. Not trying to be problematic, but I can't help when my baby needs fed, and we *were* paying customers. It's not like we were soliciting or even loitering. I had tipped well, as did my friends, and we were still visiting & finishing up our meal/visit, baby included. What's worse, in my younger mom life, I would've been so mortified by someone implying I was putting them out by nursing, or acted as if a baby's food can be stopped & pushed out of the way whenever. I'm an older mom now though, and I finally realized a cover respects others feelings on the topic, while they can respect a baby's need to eat. Anyways, the food was fine, but not amazing. The atmosphere & tone toward nursing moms left a lot to be desired. Nursing moms eat, pay, and are customers too. So much goodness, take my money. Acai bowls can be expensive and watery. Not here, I think $9 is a solid deal for all the acai amazingness I got. I dined in and the flatware was nice and heavy and the glass bowl was good for scraping the sides. The smoothie was bomb too, I especially like the paper straw. Plastic straws are terrible for the environment and you get lip wrinkles. True story. The only thing that didn't rock my world was the cold brew. I'm still gonna drink it, but it wasn't a great taste. Nice on using a local coffee company, but it doesn't taste good straight up. It is surprisingly loud here so you've been warned. I'd been waiting for this place to open after driving by and seeing it under construction and it was certainly worth the wait. I love that it's close to home, it's not a main stream, worldwide chain and the food offerings are unique and the atmosphere on point. Now, I don't know who designed and decorated this place but I stand and give you applause for your wonderful sense of style and the "I don't ever want to leave" atmosphere you have created. Although we did get a chance to sit and relax a bit while we waited for our order, we weren't able to take in the "I don't want to leave" part because I was in a rush to get home. We ordered the Dr. Bruce Banner smoothie and the Vegan Milanesa sandwich. The organic smoothie was perfect, even my 6 year old enjoyed it. It has spinach, kale, pineapple, spirulina and apple juice. The only "issue" I had was the price. The price is a bit steep at $9.00(16oz) for me to consume on a regular basis. The 24oz in this drink is $12.00. Prices range from $7.50 to $12.50. If you can afford that on a regular basis, it's delicious and if your pockets agree, it's worth it. The vegan milanesa is described on the menu as having avocado, arugula, heirloom tomatoes and spicy cashew aioli. Now what they failed to mention, is that there's a "chicken" cutlet on the sandwich. When I got home, this cutlet looked like real chicken and since the menu doesn't mention a vegan cutlet, I thought that somehow they accidentally put it on there. The look was spot on for real chicken. I called and the gentlemen over the phone said it was vegan and they just assumed, since people know what milanesa is, they would just know. Now I know what it is but I thought it was odd that you would just leave that off the description. It's kind of presumptuous assuming that people will just know they didn't actually get a piece of chicken on their vegan sandwich. He did say they'd note it and so hopefully when they reprint the menus they'll just add it on there. Why not? Despite all that, it was incredibly delicious and at $8.50 for a vegan sandwich with great bread and ingredients, it was priced spot on. So clearly, not everyone can spend over 17 bucks with tax on a sandwich and a smoothie, thus the 4 stars. There was a yelp check in offer of 15% off so that brought it down to $15 bucks and some change. Still a bit steep but understandable considering the quality of the ingredients and likely the high rent they have to pay. I will go back for sure but due to my wallet set up, not as often as I'd like. So, if your wallet is being nice to you right now and your budget is as big as President Trumps golfing budget, 5 stars, all the way! Now go there as often as you can so we can keep this gem of a business in business. A true asset to the neighborhood. That is all! read more

A bit on the pricey side, but well worth it. Their juices are sold in glass bottles, which you are encouraged to bring in to recycle. The place is relatively small, but makes the most of its space without feeling too crowded. They also checked in with some customers there which I thought was super cute. I wasn't expecting the warm atmosphere at all! I love the pillows, benches against the wall, and high tables where you can crash with your laptop for awhile. I didn't see if they had free wifi but it seems like this type of place would. *(If I could I would give no stars at all)* We entered and were told there would be a 30 minute wait. This was no problem so we asked if we could order coffees and have them at the table outside. After paying for the coffees we waited outside at a table for 45 minutes for 2 coffees. This is also when our table was ready. (No big deal to have a table be ready 15 minutes after they say). Then we sat down and waited 25 more minutes and nobody brought us a menu so we went to the counter to ask. I was in line and the woman turned at first to me and then to the guy behind me and gladly took his bill and then after gave her attention to me. Then 10 minutes later someone finally came to our table and told us it was too backed up to order food and we couldn't put an order in for 1 more hour (after waiting 1 hour and 20 minutes already being told it would be 30 minutes). This was all with 4 tables being sat at in the restaurant. Then as I left I was stopped and asked if I wanted to pay for my coffee which was done 1 hour and 30 minutes earlier and I showed the proof.
