Love that The Little Daisy has school Friendly treats for all the Holidays. Not only cute but delicious!!

    Key lime pie. 10/10.

Crumb cake was also pretty tasty, would get it again. And stopped by today for some cinnamon rolls. The frosting hit right, and the rolls themselves had a great texture and the whole thing just melted in my mouth. 10/10 would recommend these, too!

    Chocolate Raspberry Bread.

After having two very mediocre slices of pizza down the street on Friday afternoon, I decided to roam the neighborhood in search of a palate cleanser. I certainly found it, thereby salvaging my lunchtime adventures in the process. The Little Daisy Bake Shop has a pretty unobtrusive storefront right on the main drag in Upper Montclair. (Although now that I think about it, an argument could be made that Upper Montclair has two main drags. Well, this is one of them then.) In the best form of natural advertising available, I smelled the scrumptiousness from about a dozen yards away before entering. The shop itself is pretty small - it's definitely not a sit-down establishment, though it looked like they had some potential outside seating for non-February weather. Both of the women behind the counter were very helpful/friendly, and were quick to identify any and all pastries I happened to point at. I ended up selecting the best looking one of the bunch - a slice of the chocolate raspberry bread. Based on the taste/density, this could easily be sold as cake too, and I actually had to go onto their website prior to writing this review to confirm which it was. It was very scrumptious, with an all-natural raspberry puree/frosting on top. I took an awkward picture (attached) of the slice in my little white bag, and it didn't occur to me until after I ate it a few minutes later that I could have just taken it out of the bag and photographed it. Oh well - we're all works in progress at the end of the day. The only constructive feedback I have is that my particular slice was an end piece, and the edge was a little tough/dry, but the positives far outweighed the negatives. There was also a COVID-related mask interaction in the shop while I was ordering that was handled just perfectly. Masks were required to come inside, but a customer came in after me who didn't have one. I would say roughly 90% of the time in my experience, the employees don't even bother to enforce that when the situation presents itself (and I can understand why, given the sheer number of nutty social media videos out there), but I was impressed by how polite/respectful the staff was in requesting that the individual mask up. He good naturedly apologized and readily took the mask they offered him. I'm sure it doesn't always turn out that way, but it was refreshing to see a pleasant interaction in that regard. Strong recommend, and the price point was stunningly reasonable for the area - a little over $3 for a slice of pastry goodness.

Love this little bakery! The cupcakes are good but the cinnamon rolls are phenomenal. I also enjoy the whoppie pies and short bread cookies. The variety of treats change often and I enjoy coming back to try something new each time. Definitely recommend visiting to satisfy that sweet tooth!

We have been going to Little Daisy for years, and the quality has always been immaculate whether we are picking up a brookie on the go or we are ordering a cake for a special occasion. One such special occasion was our wedding, which took place an hour west down I-80. We ordered a special celebration cake along with a selection of other menu items, and throughout the entire planning process the Little Daisy Team - and Jessica in particular - was by our side making sure we selected the appropriate products to serve our guests. When it came to the week-of, we reached a problem where we had no way of storing our cake at the venue prior to our event, and the only other option was for me - the groom - to drive back to Montclair to pick up our cakes, then head back to the venue in Warren County. Jessica then did something that in a lot of ways saved our wedding - she offered to deliver the cakes herself. She drove an hour away from the store just to make sure our cakes were delivered safely. Now I want to be clear that this was a special case and I do not want to imply that Little Daisy will do anything beyond their stated capabilities, but I did want to share this story because it demonstrates not just the level of care Little Daisy has for their product but for their customers as well. Having a nut-free wedding was non-negotiable for us, and Little Daisy worked so hard to make sure that was the case. Thank you, Jessica and everyone at Little Daisy, for creating a safe space for those of us in the allergy community and for creating smiles for everyone who tries your delicious products.

You can always count on fresh baked snd unique goods here. The shop always has wonderful "Samples" to try out :-). Customer service is good. They always answer all your questions. Their Chocolate chip cookies are "Out of this World Delicious!". I've had their excellent orange and cranberry and pumpkin breads too. Awhile back, they had cookies for breast cancer month. (Check out my pic). So it appears they have specialty items (which is really cool). Last Saturday, I saw a "Very Tempting" Orange Key Lime Pie $30.00 in the display. Well, maybe next pay day :-) The Little Daisy Bake Shop is located at 622 Valley Road in Upper Montclair (between Bellevue and Lorraine Avenues).

4th of July muffin, almost done

Just take all my money!!! How didn't I know about this bakery went today for the first time everything is freshly made. We got the white chocolate blue berry scone, 4th of July blueberry muffin, crumb cackle and blueberry crumb cake. Everything was fresh still warm and super super super delicious. That was the best muffin I have EVER had!!!!

    Confetti cake

We just had an unbelievable yummy birthday cake from here. The icing was generous and super sweet in a good way. I'm very particular about desserts. VERY. This cake was everything I wanted. Great brownies too! I'll be back.

I've been here twice now and can vouch for the cinnamon rolls, all the scones and the zucchini cake. It's small and a tight squeeze - no lingering, two patrons in at a time - but worth getting a selection to share with friends. The photos here are of all the goodies I've yet to try!

Had the brownies today from Little Daisy as well as their iced lemon pound cake earlier in the week. It is an okay bakery, though in my opinion, nothing special . Both the brownies and lemon pound cake were a little on the "boring " side. The chocolate brownies looked very good but did not have the unique rich chocolate taste that I would have expected. I personally opt for the King's Supermarkets fudge brownies which are superior. Each one of the baked product was about $3.50 each. The lemon pound cake was the better of the two baked products I consumed, but it did not have a super fresh and soft taste and texture. I originally thought it might have been baked the day prior, but there is no way for me to confirm that . Bottom line the place is okay . Wouldn't go out of my way to stop there though.

I thought this place was fine but not great. The selection seemed pretty small compared to other bakeries I've been to and the prices were on the high side. I know the space itself is small, but I enjoy looking through the cases to see what I want and there just wasn't much to view. I asked what they had in pumpkin flavored and the girl behind the counter indicated a whoopee pie and pumpkin bread. I asked about cupcakes and she said they had a couple left (they just weren't out) so I got one of those. It was fine, but I've had bigger, moister, more flavorful cupcakes are comparable prices. I can't say it was better than something I could have made myself, but it was decent. It is a cute shop and there's a counter and some bar stools if people want to stay in. There was also a section above this counter with branded items for the bake shop (like shirts) that seems like it would be be better served displaying more baked goods than items to promote their bakery, although I could see you wouldn't want to constantly reach over people to get the goods, it just seemed like there was probably enough branded items as there were baked goods. I only tried one item here so I can't give a complete image, but if you are in the area, it can satisfy a sweet tooth.

Had dinner here a few weeks ago and WOW Montclair really is not giving up its title for best food…read morecity anytime soon. We're still slowly working our way through local spots, and Brick + Dough was highly recommended to us. We started with garlic knots, bread, and fries, and honestly... 10/10 across the board. Everything was SO good. The fries especially are still living rent free in my head. We then split three pizzas, all of which were seriously incredible. The perfect balance of cheese, sauce, and crust, just absolutely nailed. We ended the night with cookies and ice cream, and I can confidently say this place will be seeing me again very, very soon. It might even end up replacing our current go-to pizza spot...

The service was nice, especially because even though we were the only table sitting outside, they were consistently coming out to make sure we were doing OK and had everything we needed. We ordered some garlic knots, which were good, it just seemed a little bit pricey to charge for the marinara sauce separately, which was not really outstanding nor something special, so I would recommend you skip it. We also ordered the chicken vodka Parm pie which was very good. The chicken was very crispy and the pizza was still delicious the next day when we had the leftovers. One of her friends is allergic to gluten, so it was very nice that they were able to accommodate for her. I do wanna point out that we have been to many places that offer gluten-free options and this is the first one I've been to that does charge you extra to make a gluten-free. In terms of price, it is very similar to the other places in Montclair but they do provide very good service and the ambience both outside and inside is very nice.
