This is a quaint wine bar with a great selection of wines, beers and cocktails. The food selections pair well with all the drinks and they are delicious. The bartender and server had the worst attitude I have ever encountered in a restaurant. It seems based on other reviews this is common. When greeted, the bartender yells very loudly "HELLO" with a condescending attitude, when trying to get our attention. Not the best first impression. The server needed to be promoted several times to take our order. I have worked in many restaurants as a server, bartender and manager and I understand how hard the industry is; however, there is no excuse for the absolutely horrible service and attitude we received. Okay, so a group from work came here during the week to get together. Let me start with, this is not a good place for a group larger than 4 people. As the place was nice and cozy, it was small, and not good for a good group of local people. I only had a soda, so my remaining part of the review is all third hand. My wine drinker friend, stated the wine should of been filled to certain spot in the class and it was not, so she was not getting the full amount of wine for the cost. All three women ordered food, I believe it was some form on toasted bread with topping (yes, I am not a foodie), they stated the bread was not even toasted all the way. Our server in my review was great, she checked on us many times, and made sure we were okay. However, when I asked to be seated somewhere with more than 4 seats, I did get a bit of an attitude though. The wine was great, and so was the food. Loved the decorations as well. However service wasn't the best but not terrible, but it could have been better than what we got! First of all... LOCATION! I love that this gem is located in the district at GVR. Easy to get to off of 215, easy to park, close to home for us! They have a great wine selection, beer, and specialty cocktails. The Local definitely has something for everyone in your group. They have more quality options than I've seen at a lot of the other bars and restaurants in Vegas/Henderson. The food pairs well and the staff is knowledgeable about the selections offered. I'm not a wine connoisseur by any means, but I know what I like. The staff helped us find great choices for all of our unique tastes. The experience was fun, with a down to earth vibe. Pro: Love this place. So happy that something like this opened up in the Henderson / Green Valley Area. The wine selections and bites to eat are so great. I usually get the flights because the selection they chose is great! They have a great happy hour that goes from 11:30am- 5:30pm. The staff is lovely and attentive. Con: Each time I'm here the music selection is odd. Not something you should really have playing in a nice wine bar. They had alternative rock playing on a chill Monday night and it just doesn't mix well with a nice glass of wine. The other thing worth mentioning is that the bar are is always blazing hot. Everyone is sweating and it's pretty uncomfortable. If they can fix those things, this place is perfect. read more

The place is adorable. The wine was great but the food was subpar. It looked fresh but my vinagarette wasn't good and my husband's sandwich was ok. The real reason for my 3 star experience was the hovering over us by the owner? I'm not sure it was uncomfortable trying to read the menu. Unfortunately not a good experience! Bruschetta Soggy burnt bread does not make a good bruschetta. Cinnamon over powers, should list this as an ingredient on this item on the menu. The Zin I ordered was dead on arrival. It had been opened way to long. I only eat 1 small slice of bruschetta, server did not even ask why I left 3/4 of this item un-eaten.
