Came here Easter morning for brunch and was quickly seated. We arrived about 10:30AM and waited for about 5 minutes. Service was great, food was decent. Wish the selection of breakfast items would have a choice of protein instead of having to pay for that a La carte when it seems to me sweet needs to be paired with something savory. Anyway, neat little place for a quick sit-down with friends.
Great menu! My daughter had the stuffed French toast with strawberry cream cheese and strawberries and it was so good! I had the asparagus omelet - really yummy!!! Dog-friendly patio. Very pretty restaurant in a strip mall so easy parking in lot. Friendly, attentive service!

We enjoyed a French press coffee and the pancake trio. Yummy! Today I return with my hubby and having the French press with their Beignets and the Locals only Benny. Appreciate that the coffee cups come prewarmed. Beignets were very tasty but a bit pricey at $12 for six bites. (Raspberry dipping sauce was good) Love the ample parking, fun decor and friendly service along with a great menu and well prepared dishes.
The thiccest breakfast I've ever had! Thick-cut bacon, thicc toasted sourdough, and a golden buttery hashbrown puck stacked to thiccness and cooked to perfection . Absolutely delicious! I also loved the chill vibe, the nod to HB, and the awesome service -- everyone greeted me with a smile, even after I sat down! Whether you're killing time while getting your car serviced at Honda on Beach or just craving a top-notch breakfast to start your day, head over to The Local Nod! You won't be disappointed.

This place was just okay. The service was really bad and it wasn't even busy. We got sat and waited about 15 mins before telling a worker that we were ready to order. They said they would get our server, and then it took another 10 mins for our server to show up to take our order. The food itself was okay. The food looked good but wasn't good. Everything just lacked flavor and it was all underwhelming.
After my sister recommended the Local Nod to us, we finally visited for lunch last Sunday and everything from the food, to the ambiance and service was outstanding! We started off with their beignets which were tasty and not too sweet, but for the price point ($12) I believe they should give you a few more or make them larger. My mother-in-law and I both had the California Omelet, I had mine made with egg whites only and it was one of best omelets I have had, the ingredients were perfectly balanced and they did not overload the omelet with cheese which made it feel light yet filling. We both substituted the side salad for hash browns, the hash brown was absolutely amazing (very crispy and perfectly salted). My wife had the Classic Diner Deal which came with 2 eggs, bacon or sausage and a hash brown. She loved her meal as well. A commonly overlooked detail for any brunch spot is the bread that they serve and I was pleased to see the Local Nod use fantastic bread for their toast, rustic, quality bread that I could not resist eating despite the carbo load. Our food arrived promptly and our water cups stayed full. All in all, a great meal....we will definitely be back!

The chicken biscuits and gravy was perfectly seasoned, 10/10. The steak and eggs was under seasoned for my partners preference, but the chimichurri on top was super flavorful. The French press was bitter - either being brewed at too high temp or was sitting too long. All of all, this was a pretty cool spot - a few small tweaks could make it great.

My favorite dish was the pancakes trio because of the different tastes and textures! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes with trendy wordy decor around! 3. There are indoor and outdoor seatings! 4. The staff were friendly and attentive! Our waiter knew that the Donut Burger ran out the day prior, so he checked if it was available before placing the order! 5. Parking is easy in this lot! THIS PLACE IS SO GOOD! I cannot say enough about this hike in the wall strip mall eatery! Food and service was excellent. From the amazing honey cinnamon latte with floating gold on top, to the over the top avocado toast - everything was cooked and served to perfection! They were really busy and the woman who was literally waiting multiple tables and being a hostess was amazing! They looked short staffed but she never acted that way. Parking is a little crowded but I can't wait to go back. You must try this place!

When I think of The Local Nod Cafe, I think of filling my IG feed with Pinteresty looking treats. The food? Chef's kiss. Perfectly curated for your girls' brunch, date, or a family outing where even your picky eater will find something they'll love. Service is stellar, food is delicious, and the vibes are so good you'll start wondering if you accidentally walked into a Pinterest board IRL. Pro tip: The bottomless mimosas are only $20, and you get two hours of bubbly bliss to pretend you don't have responsibilities. I like to take my time, but if you're on vacation mode, this is your golden ticket. A top-tier brunch spot, no matter who you're with or how many mimosas you've had. read more

My girl chose this spot for her birthday brunch. We love it here! The bacon is spectacular, the deviled eggs are the best we have ever had. The service is just wonderful, friendly and fast! The ambiance is happy! Trendy! Just what you need to get your day started the right way. The huevos rancheros are the absolute best. All of the Benedict's are recommended! The tea I ordered comes in that cool spherical cup! I know we love it here and I can't wait until next time! read more

I've been here a few times now, food is very good and reliable. We came on a Tuesday late morning and was seated immediately. The waitress was attentive and polite. We ordered a lavender latte and a cinnamon honey latte. One of my girlfriends wanted a decaf due to caffeine sensitivity but they don't offer decaf expressos. ??? We ordered the pancake trio. breakfast tacos and loco moco. The short rib breakfast tacos are bomb. I've ordered them everytime I've been here and they are consistently excellent. The pancake trio was nice as you can try each of the different pancakes. My favorite is still the bananas foster pancakes. The loco moco was very good as well. All of us love Hawaiian food and it was spot on. The place was clean and well kept. I love the neon signs and their cute sayings. I would recommend this place, the food is very good. read more
Delicious breakfast hidden in this shopping center near Target! Must go! No drip coffee available because they instead offer an elevated coffee experience and we opted for the French press! We also tried the pancake sampler which was dripping in strawberries and strawberry sauce, blueberries and blueberry sauce, and bananas and bananas foster toppings--great share plate. Butchers bacon was thick and delicious, and we added two scrambled eggs to round out the breakfast proteins. We brought home a Cali benny with some turkey bacon swapped in. Hard to narrow down what to get when all the menu options are amazing! Service was solid and the ambiance and decor was so cute and trendy. Located in the elbow of the Target shopping center. Indoor and outdoor covered seating. Sitdown full service restaurant. Casual atmosphere. Fast and friendly service! The following cost $160 with tax and tip included as of Nov 2023 and was plenty for four adults and a toddler: two sharing apps, four entrees, and four coffee drinks. Generous quantities and everything was delicious! They have a pretty crazy menu with some serious indulgences. I tried the bacon flight (three different types included), beignets (comes with some jam/syrup), and wife and I split the loco moco and andouille sausage grits. This was my second visit to Local Nod, and it never disappoints. The café is modern and clean. The service is always friendly, helpful, and done with a smile. The food is always scrumptious and they have unique and innovative dishes that I love and appreciate. On this visit, Mr. Bee ordered the Fried Chicken, and gravy over a biscuit, and the dish was topped with a fried egg. He ordered the Honey and Cinnamon Latte and was very happy with his choices. Everything was fresh, served hot, and full of flavor. The chicken was crispy, the biscuit flaky and the egg yolk ran down over the entire dish. I ordered my favorite which is the Avocado toast. I know you are thinking Avocado toast is boring, but yeah, not at Local Nod. The toast is perfectly toasted, topped with creamy avocado, pickled onions, toasted pepitas, and micro greens. On the side is a soft-boiled egg. It is the perfect breakfast. You have crunchy with the toast, the egg, and pepitas, creaminess from the avocado, and the bite of the pickled onion. Parking is pretty easy, the café is located in a shopping center with CVS and a Target grocery store, so there is a large parking lot. Just be prepared if you go on the weekends for brunch, it can get pretty crowded so expect a wait, but it is well worth it. read more

Unique menu for breakfast and lunch. Bright light and open space seating. Looks like a happy Cafe inside. A tiny bit pricey. Great service. I had a good breakfast burrito that is a meat lovers dream..... bacon, chorizo and ham. The star was the spicy avocado dip. Companion ordered an omelet that was very normal with the nice edition of sliced avocado on top.... not 1/4 avocavo but at least 1/2. 5 star tempting but price vs quantity was slightly off and the atmosphere was a little too simple. I'm picking hairs really. I'll go back for sure. read more

Solid spot for breakfast/brunch. Wifey and I grabbed the Huevos Rancheros and the Breakfast Tacos. Would get both again no question. Very good. Tacos are short-rib and come with sides of salsa, a creamy guac, and pickled onions. We also had the Mimosas. Service was solid and their prices are reasonable. They have a large menu selection as well as a variety of alcoholic drinks from which to choose - which is always an extra star. Plenty of parking as it is in the corner of a CVS strip mall. read more

Came here on a relatively busy Saturday morning but I was alone so I got seated immediately. There's a decent amount of seating - indoor and patio. Food: The shareables section looked pretty interesting but since I came alone and don't have a huge appetite so I had to pass. I went with a classic - the diner deal (bacon, eggs, hash brown, and toast). It was okay, the bacon was a little thick and not as crispy as I would have liked. The hash brown was also not quite crispy enough for my preference.First time ordering a French press - it was cool that they give you the whole French press to "DIY" at your convenience. Service: all staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive. Ambiance: bustling family friendly, contemporary style breakfast/brunch atmosphere Another note about a couple shareable items - the bacon and pancake flights are a unique concept, something I'd like to try next time. When I'm in the area, craving a contemporary American breakfast/brunch I would come again! read more

OK, so... I've been wanting to try this place since it opened. Also wanted to have a group luncheon here tomorrow, but they wouldn't take a reservation for a large party of 20+, so I opted for another place. ... but decided to give them a try today. Grabbed a friend to join me. It's a bit pricey and the presentation was great, but what we had was "just ok"... they had a Pozole special ($15) for Cinco de Mayo and I opted to try their corned beef hash, ($20) which was only drizzled with Hollandaise sauce. SMH. Ask and you'll receive a side in a gravy boat. There were tons of servers walking around and everyone was pleasant and friendly. I'll give it one more chance another time. read more

Cute local spot in CVS / Target shopping center. Easy parking available. It can get busy so prepare to possibly wait. Service is what makes this a 4 and not 5. They are all really nice and friendly but not sure if servers are assigned to specific tables but it looks like there is a lot of servers but service is a bit slow. Had to ask for a straw a few times and for water refills. It is a newer business so this can improve over time Food has always been delicious. Been here twice and both times ended up getting the chicken sandwhich which is so flavorful. The slaw is tasty and is on a nice toast. We also got the chilaquiles with red sauce which also had refried beans in it. This also was really tasty. Lastly got the egg white omelette which was really fresh. Michelada was really good. Comes with little bacon on it. Strawberry matcha and also honey cinnamon latte both really good. This is a fun little spot and definitely worth a try ! read more
The one thing that attracted me to this place was their vegan and GF options. The two kids we had with us have extreme allergies making eating out a challenge. With an all nut allergy, seeds such as sesame and mustard seeds, dairy and eggs and cross contamination is a high risk. Anyhow, we figured with Vegan and GF options we can work things out. Our server who had the coolest name, Morissey, was super helpful and checked with the kitchen several times on ingredients and preparation methods. All of the staff there that morning were all friendly and very helpful. I ordered the Pork Belly Taquitos and the corned beef hash. The PBT-pictured were great. Lots of braised, pulled pork filling in the taquitos and with the egg and salsa to lather up the outside for every bite. As for the corned beef hash, sorry not pictured, was just ok to me. I liked that it had nice chunks of corned beef, but they were dry and tough to chew. Overall it was a good breakfast and I think the Local Nod will be the Local Spot. read more

I was looking for a dog friendly brunch spot and this was such a great find! The staff was very friendly from the moment we arrived, they opened up their outdoor patio for us to sit outside and even turned on the outdoor heaters as it was a bit of a chilly morning. They played a really good easy going playlist that was great background for chatting and enjoying our company. We ordered the Lavender Latte and Vietnamese Coffee to start and they were very delicious! I would come back just for the coffee sometime! For food we got the Loco Moco and the Stuffed Hawaiian Roll French Toast, both were excellent. I would definitely come back and try more of their offerings as everything was so tasty! read more

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS PLACE! From the customer service right at the door, the server (Amanda) who was incredibly amazing, to every single implante we ordered. Flavorful, tasty, beautiful presentation. We ordered the bacon bites sample as an appetizer and all 3 samples were delicious. it was 5 of us and we ordered the breakfast tacos (flavorful), the california omelette (the toast with butter was sooo good that we left the omelette for last), the pancake trio was so good, my 12 year old loved it and ate all 3 of them. She couldn't decide which one was the best, the french toast were delicious!! And to top it off, the mimosa tower with guava juice was a much needed drink for todays mood. read more
