DO NOT GO TO THIS BAR. As detailed in image.png, this establishment completely fails to take accountability for their abysmal management. I had family show up 2 hours early to reserve us a table under the explicit assurance from their staff that our group of 11 would be able to join them. When our full party arrived, management told us the exact opposite without making any attempt to remedy the situation. We had already ordered food and drinks for the group, but because they began giving away our reserved seats, we didn't even get to touch them. They didn't even offer a refund for the untouched items. Regarding their response in image.png, it is entirely disingenuous to claim it was our "choice" to leave. Why would our family stay there alone when the rest of our group was barred from entering the premises? Furthermore, do not assume or slander my group regarding threats of reputation damage; I am simply stating the facts of how this management mishandled our situation, nobody in our group was rowdy, unpolite, rude or drunk. We simply tried to understand why we were all lied to and the staff didn't bother to treat us with any respect. They say ppl are entitled when they mishandle situations however it just seems to me they love to project onto their customers. If your policy is "no seat saving," then train your staff to communicate that accurately to customers instead of leading them on for two hours. Stop keeping people waiting in line under false pretenses when you have switched to a "1 in, 1 out" policy. Learn to take accountability when you screw up. Never returning to this establishment.

The Londoner is a decent bar located on Midway Rd. I haven't tried any of the food, so I can't speak on that, but the staff was friendly during my one visit here and the pour on my "kettle one on the rocks" was decent. This place is larger than it appears on the outside, so I would highly recommend this bar for a group happy hour or a large event.

I absolutely love this place. I've been coming to The Londoner in Addison for years, and it's always a great time. After Covid, I haven't been able to enjoy a Boddingtons here--which isn't their fault of course--but I do miss it. Honestly, I'd hop a plane to London for one of those bad boys! The bar staff here is always fantastic--friendly, knowledgeable, and confident in their recommendations. You can tell they stand behind their menu, and it shows. Over the years, I've tried a wide variety of dishes: the cheese toast with tomato soup, fish and chips, shepherd's pie, cottage pie, chicken tikka masala, and the bangers and mash. Every single one has been excellent. If I had to pick a favorite, it might just be the cheese toast with tomato soup--it's simple, comforting, and always hits the spot. That said, I've never been disappointed with anything I've ordered. Whether it's for dinner and drinks, just a pint, or catching a Premier League or international football match, The Londoner has the perfect atmosphere. It's one of the best spots around to watch a game. And while I still miss the Boddingtons, I have to say their Old Speckled Hen is top-notch. Bottom line: great food, great drinks, great staff, and an unbeatable atmosphere. I'll definitely keep coming back.

Fish was thick and crunchy. Server was very busy, but he managed our table very well and was super sweet. We sat outside and watched the sunset. Very wonderful atmosphere.

Ruben with old meat and cold fry's. I ate half of a half!

By far the best fish and chips in town! Probably better to go for lunch because they are busy during dinner.

Food Quilty Sucks !!!! But they are friendly though maybe it's because they know that the food is bland and has no flavor.

Ask the Community - The Londoner

Are people of all races welcome and served with dignity and honor?

I've only tried to visit this establishment once I thought it was a one off that they didn't let my friends and I in but apparently this is the norm for people of color to have an awful experience! 2026 and people are still racist how disgusting

Would this be considered a kid friendly establishment?

I would think not. The smoking levels are pretty heavy and it's more of a sports bar so bad languis often heard.

Does this place have premier league screenings?

Yes all the games that are shown on nbc sports

The vibe is definitely English pub, but the expansive outdoor patio makes you feel like you're still in Texas. We stayed for a quite a while to watch several of the World Cup games. I had fish and chips and ordered a beer. The fish and chips were amazing: the fish particularly was fried and seasoned so well. I could've easily eaten another portion. I truly did not expect it to be as good as it was, especially as most of my fish and chip experiences in the US have left me wanting more. This was perfect! Service was surprisingly fast despite how busy the bar was. We had no issues finding seating outside and then moved indoors once space cleared out. Our server was super accommodating and even hooked us up with a table near the larger TV once that party cleared out. Another bonus is that this location has a huge, free parking garage, so super convenient if you don't want to take the DART.

The star was the house-made tomato soup -- savory, sweet, and so flavorful!! The fries were great too and their ranch is delicious! For dessert, we enjoyed the sticky toffee pudding! A bit different than the ones I've had before, but I still liked it. The only miss was my virgin margarita. It was wayyyy too sour and salty. Would skip!

I don't think Harwood Arms was prepared for how many people were going to show up- it seemed completely disorganized, chaotic, and just ridiculous. We were sitting down at one of the tables outside in the alley area and the walkway was clear- at first. After the game had actually started, I guess they just let everyone in and the entire walkway was PACKED with people to the point that our once clear view of the TV, was gone in an instant. As the night progressed, obviously a girl has to pee, so as I was walking into the actual restaurant/ pub to use the bathroom and I guess the "bouncer" stuck his arm between me and the door and dismissively said I couldn't go in. Excuse me? After telling him I literally have a table outside, he yanks at his collar and speaks into his little walkie talkie asking if there's a table of 4 outside under my name. Sorry, I didn't know I was watching the Mexico game at the freakin White House surrounded by Secret Agents. Give me a break. So when he magically confirms I have a table (because I do), he lifts up his arm and gives me the ALL CLEAR! It's actually funny looking back at it. But give me a break. When going back outside to sit at my table, the same bouncer/ Secret Agent/ FBI dude gives attitude to my boyfriend and myself for the commotion caused earlier. The actual police officer next to him told us it's ok and to just have a good time. The only nice thing someone said to us and he doesn't even work at Harwood Arms lol. To management, if you do not want people "off the street" to go in and out of your pub or inside to use your bathrooms, then I don't know- maybe come up with a wristband method so your paying customers can smoothly go in and out to use your bathrooms? Just a thought. OR just don't be unwelcoming to people that are actively spending money at your pub. Harwood Arms was NOT prepared at all for the high velocity of people coming in to watch the FIFA games. Quite frankly, it was a MESS. I did visit Bar W a few days after that and had a MUCH BETTER experience-- go there instead.
