Wonderful selection of beer and liquor. Service was iffy this time. I sat on the patio and it was a different experience. The bar tenders know their stuff and give recommendations with confidence. Their servers don't seem to have the same knowledge or confidence. But, I asked her to send me the bar tender's recommendations and was pleasantly surprised. Fantastic place to grab a drink and catch up with friends. That's what we do pretty much any holiday weekend when the old crew is back in town. Awesome patio that has a lot of tables. Bonus points for having food too. Great atmosphere and nice people. I've been here twice for NY eve and had a blast each time. The only thing keeping it from a 5 star rating is the smoking that can become heavy late in the night. If you feel this will sway you, look to the Uptown location where it isn't a problem. read more

I came here to watch my beloved NY Giants serve up a beatdown to the Cowboys. I believe the original plan was to watch the game across the street, but it was too crowded. The Londoner fit the bill perfectly. Casual place to chill. I love the dart boards and the dark wood. We could watch the game and have a conversation without screaming. They have a nice selections of beer on tap. Looked to have a very extensive liquor selection. We left around 11:30pm and by then the place was packed. Packed, but manageable packed as it is huge. I have been here numerous times, and it never disappoints. I have been here with large and small groups, and on many different nights. Monday night trivia is my favorite, and if you win a round of trivia Freakshow trivia will give you a free $10 gift certificate. If you think your group is going to be more than 20 people, I would suggest reserving one of the rooms. It is easy to find people here as it is a medium size bar, and there are only three rooms to search through. Wide variety of beer selection, and an excellent wait staff. If you are new to beer, the waitress is very helpful with suggestions. Food is good as well, and parking is easy. Only downfall is the lighting, but guess that is expected at a pub. read more

I was here for the first time with a group. It's a really cool looking place, smoking is allowed, but they must have good ventilation because it's not overwhelming. Headed up to a group of about 40 people. The whole restaurant wasn't super busy, just an average crowd. Surprisingly we were only given one server. She must of been pissed about this and made sure everybody knew it. I got 1 coke refill in 2 hours. We practically chased her down for our check & she brought the receipt without the credit card, so we had to go downstairs and look for it. Now we are checking our account every day for suspicious activity. While this place may be good for a few people I would NOT recommend this for a group of people, a bunch of people ended up leaving to other restaurants to get food. read more

Let me start by saying I'm not a "bar" type of person. I'm not a big drinker and I don't like smoke, so I'm not the best person to rate a bar. However, I will rate the place as an eating establishment. We went there for lunch over the weekend, just for something different. There was some soccer game going on and people were screaming and yelling, which was kind of fun and different. We asked if they had appetizers, but they did not. She ended up getting us chips and salsa, which were okay. We were given a limited "brunch" menu. (Brunch apparently is all day) It had standard fair such as burgers and fries, then some British fair such as Shephards Pie and Fish and Chips. I opted for the Pie. Shephards pie is like stew consisting of ground beef, peas, and carrots. It's topped with mashed potatoes and cheese. I must say it was damn good. It was extremely filling and had that "comfort food" feel to it. I was ready to be disappointed, but it was pretty good. The Fish and Chips must be taken literal. It literally is a single piece of fish and some fries. My friend was pretty disappointed to pay 7 bucks for 1 piece of fish. As far as taste, it was pretty generic fish and chips. Service was okay. The server was nice enough, it was just more of a bar atmosphere with bar service. My review is based on this place as a restaurant, so I'm only giving it 3 stars. If you go just to have a few drinks you will probably enjoy it a lot more. read more

I'll be fair with this review, and consider this separate from the others. JUST because you're in Addison doesn't make you the greatest bar/pub. I've been here a few times with people and just sat on the patio. I have finally been inside and feel confident giving a review. The Frisco location has my beer, Belhaven Scottish Ale, on tap but none of the others do. This is piss-poor as it is only good from a can or from a tap. The battle version is garbage. The selection is great otherwise and everyone can find something to drink. I ordered the Tower of London Burger. Was it worth the $8? Oh no no no. Was it good? Yes. It was good, but not $8 good. I just don't see how it's called "Tower of London" either. There's nothing English about it. Onion chibatta bread? I don't think that's English enough, but okay. It was good though. The fries were average as fried go. The interior is exactly what you image a pub should be. We were there for the Euros and for a lunch excursion it was great. Not too crowded, the waiter was attentive. I have also been here post Ka-Boom Town and that's just a f'in mess. When I was in college I waited in line at the bar for a drink...I'm an adult and prefer not to deal with that. It's not their fault, but you should be staffed accordingly on a big night. I recommend this over the others, even if they don't have my beer of choice. I'm not a HUGE fan of it, they don't even have my beer on tap or in a can...but in a freakin' bottle. It is a great place to meet with friends. If you want piss beer they have that. When you want to drink a REAL beer, you com'on over to the Londoner and buy a big boy beer. read more

My favorite bar of all time. It's comfortable, plenty of seating, music isn't too loud; definitely a place you can go have a few beers with your buddies in an easy-going atmosphere. It has a very authentic pub feel too, which adds to its appeal. Also, this place at some point recently started serving really excellent food (like "gastropub" type stuff). They've always had traditional English/U.K. items, but I always regarded food as their primary weak point. Apparently, that has changed! Whenever I'm back home in North Texas, Addison Londoner is always the place I suggest when meeting up with old friends. read more

My best friend and I have been visiting the Londoner in Addison for the past 6 years, at least twice a month during premier league season, to watch Arsenal. We're used to being there on big match days and with big crowds. However, we have never experienced the absolutely AWFUL service that we did this past Sunday. We ordered our drinks shortly after arriving. Fifteen minutes later they were delivered. NEVER were we asked if we wanted food or given a food menu. After seeing other tables all around us being given menus we finally grabbed our server as she happened to walk by and told her we wanted food. She took or order and then completely disappeared for close to an hour. Every other table around us, including ones that had arrived and ordered after us, received their food. They also received refills and additional drinks and were checked on by said server. NOT once did she ask if we were doing okay or if we need additional drinks. Finally, when there were maybe 15 minutes left in the match she stopped as she walked past our table, looked over her shoulder at us and casually threw out that our order was the next one up to be prepared. At that point I told her to cancel the order as the match was nearly over and we no longer needed the food. Ironically, at this point, about five minutes later she stopped and asked if we were okay. I literally turned to my friend and asked, thinking surely I misheard her, "did she really just ask if we were okay?" A little late to ask that when you have totally ignored a table while fawning all over the tables of men around us. Needless to say, we left exact change for her on top of our bill. And it will be a VERY long time before we return here. Better to watch The Arsenal from home on the telly then give our money where it obviously is not valued. read more

One of my favorite pubs in this area...very laid-back, good selection of beer, full bar options, friendly atmosphere, outside patio seating, animal-friendly (outside on patio), smoking allowed inside, but there are also rooms designated non-smoking. It has been 7-8 years since I've been to the Londoner, but I have fond memories of my time there! I was in town for business, and became a regular at the Londoner during my time there. I never sat at the table, but the service at the bar was great. Friendly, attentive bartenders with great senses of humor. The clientele at the bar was friendly, too. I struck up many good conversations during those three weeks. Great beer selection. The food was decent, better than your average bar food. Prices were moderate for the area. read more

A hole in the wall bar near multiple hotels. A place to have a quick drink or multiple drinks with friends. Food options galore, I believe most of us ordered burgers but I had an avocado salad which was fresh and edible. Also, it's a smoking bar. We were regulars at this pub for Premier League and Euros matches over the years, but whilst at the England vs Italy Euro final, I was shocked to see blatant and unapologetic racial profiling and disgusting behaviour from the owner of this pub a woman named Rosie, who following a goal celebration that resulted in beer being sprayed which resulted in the projector going out, decided to only remove and kick out individuals who were black and brown, most of whom weren't involved or anywhere near the projector. She used expletive, vulgar and crass language at paying customers that showed her lack of class and clear disregard for the multiculturalism of football communities and American society. Appalling ownership behaviour and will not be getting another cent from me. Plenty of better places in DFW to watch football without having to worry about racial profiling and cheap idle threats. How disappointing. Shame on you. read more

Love going to the Londoner for lunch. Playing darts and listening to the best JukeBox in Dallas. They have a decent selection of import beers. IF you going for the beer their selection is a bit thin as the Londoner is not a beer bar. The food is pretty good everytime I go. I get the fish-n-chips and have tried other menu selections like Bangers & Mash or Shepards Pie. If you like old 70's and 80's English Bands the JukeBox will probably have the tune. While it is a bit smokey smelling ...this is one of my favorite bars to go to if you want to be in a pub environment and just have fun. Be sure to get a CAB for ride home. I waited a couple of weeks before writing this review because I wanted to process exactly what I want you, the person considering visiting this establishment, to know. As well as, giving them an opportunity to make this egregious issue right. If you are in downtown Rockwall and want: a great burger, go to Charlie's or Wells Cattle Co. a good happy hour, go to Pier 101 or Zanata's drinks after a date, go to Bin 303 First, The Roundabout (previously The Londoner) is a local watering hole. This is the place you go to for a last drink before you head home. This is not an establishment where people go for the food, as it was been consistently sub-par, even for bar food. For example I've ordered their Samba chicken wings to have them come to me with the skin soggy, it had the texture of congealed pork fat. I figured it was a lack of communication, so the next time I ordered the wings I ask for them to be cooked extra crispy and they came to me made with old chicken. I mean, as I was pulling the meat off of it, the bone broke in half!!! THE BONE BROKE IN HALF!!! We stopped ordering food after this particular visit. We stopped by on Saturday night for a few drinks before heading home. We were served two beers, and struck up a great conversation with another couple. We were enjoying ourselves and our new friends, everything seemed okay. Then I was told by a bartender (blonde with glasses) that she was not going to serve me anymore. I was shocked!! My husband asked her why, and she stated that the other bartender told her not to serve me. So we looked at LuLu (the other woman standing behind the bar) to ask her what the issue was, she avoided us and never answered. Then another employee, Gabriel, began yelling "It was me! It was me! It was me! Leave or I'm calling the police! I'm your friend! Leave or I'm calling the police!!" Yes he was yelling, I was mortified, beyond humiliated!! Instead of giving us a reason, any reason, the three completely forgot their customer service skills, which from the looks of previous reviews may need to be revisited, and charged at us to leave. I can't make this stuff up, it was surreal. I couldn't believe that I was being threatened by an employee from a place that I frequent, to call the police on me! Never in my life have I been treated with such a disgusting display of arrogance and aggression. My husband and I walked out, still with no explanation as to why they were refusing service, so I guess we'll just fill in the blank ourselves. As we walked out, I did manage to tell the server that she was a fat a$$. I know that was a low blow because food addiction is a real issue, but I felt so belittled that I wanted to give her a taste of her own medicine. Customer Service 101 Professional tip: pull a customer aside to talk to them privately if you are refusing them service. Do not berate them openly in front of the other customers at the bar. This establishment can add another name to the list of longtime customers and neighbors that will no longer be a customer. read more

I had been to The Londoner once before about 2 years ago. A birthday party was held for a friend of mine. We had a gathering of about 10-15 people and sat in the smoking section (right of the restaurant/bar when you walk in the front door). I recently made my way back to the place with a close friend. We have been there twice in the past couple of weeks. The first time we sat in the non-smoking section (the area wasn't made apparent when first walking in; but you notice the sign once you sit down on the left hand side of the place). You can tell my friend enjoys the place for the variety of beers. His favorites are the Stellar and Boddingtons (which at first he thought was a Tetley, but later heard it was a Boddingtons). The waitresses weren't quite sure exactly what a Tetleys was when he ordered it, and brought him a Boddingtons. Close, but no cigar. I of course, frequent the Long Islands Ice Teas, and do much appreciate the quantity of alcohol they possess. Nevertheless, two rounds and a shot of Baby Guiness topped off our night. Let's not forget the chicken/spinach quesadilla I ordered was fabulous! It was about $8 but was just enough to feed two people. Wasn't fond of the salsa, but a little sour cream does the trick. Anyway, long story short, great atmosphere, nice people, crowd can get kind of noisy after a while accompanied by the music in the background, but the large screen TVs and memorabilia around the room are enough to keep a bored person occupied. Love the Londonder! Lived in Addison for almost a year and this is by far my favorite place to go! Great crowd.. bartenders are all very friendly, by the end of your first visit they will know your name and be screaming goodbye on your way out :) Nice beer selection as well. Ambience is great, dim lights, tv's everywhere to watch whatever game is going on, and i actually like the food they serve as well. One of my frequenting spots here in the DFW. Deff gonna miss it when i leave to Hawaii. read more

First time patron and I was impressed. David was our server and bartender. Attentive and not intrusive. I had a lot a questions about menu items and he answered every question with patience and humor. I ordered the fish and chips. I rarely finish a meal, but I did this time! The fish was lightly battered and very good for being cod. Chips (fries) were made fresh and crispy. Tarter sauce was excellent. I also had a cup of Guiness Stew, which I couldn't finish. Meat was tender, veggies were just right and the gravy base was very tasty. Husband had the New Deli. He completely cleaned his plate! He said flavors were excellent and the ingredients were very fresh. He also had two Shiner beers, which I'm not familiar with, and said the prices were extremely affordable. Amazing fish and chips! That alone would be worth a 5 star in my eyes, but the bartenders there are amazing. I asked for a plastic spoon becuase I'm staying in a hotel and picked up a pint of Blue Bell's excellent ice cream (get it, TRUST ME!) and the bartender came back with a few utensil kits, "Just in case I needed more." I ordered a beer that includes the mug and enjoyed it. Afterwards I made a comment to him that, "This will go well for the beers I have in the fridge," and he grabbed my mug and replaced it with a clean one. One of my favorite neighborhood bars. The Londoner has a very laid-back, welcoming, pub-esque atmosphere. They are probably best known for their impressive beer list but I tend to stick to Moscow Mules, which they also do very well. The food here is so much better than you would expect from a bar! My favorites are the hummus, cheese board, and "royal blue" salad! Smoking is allowed, but somehow its never seemed thick enough to bother me, unlike some other places that allow smoking. Of course if it does bother you there is a beautiful patio (that allows dogs) to have a drink. This is a great place to enjoy beverages, a bite and some great people watching! I come here with my friends and family and have met so many great people; some of them have become my family over here in the USA. A client wanted to meet here for lunch today. Had the avocado salad with chicken. It was good, the ingredients were fresh and the serving size was generous. The service was just OK and the smoky atmosphere was not my favorite, but it is, after all, a bar. Jason always does a good job and the bar tenders and waitresses are above average in terms of services, looks...friendliness...Could be better, could a little better. Patio is amazing and big selection of drinks. MORE BEER OF THE MONTH PLEASE? OR ELSE IT BECOME A LITTLE EXPENSIVE...which should drive away many people from being regulars.. Had the salmon and is good. Tastes like it's marinated in some kind of teriyaki. Different but good. Not a fan of the spinach with the berries mixed in, and the rice is good but could mix it up with a seasoned rice or something. Still leaving full, happy, and glad I came! Service is good. Not as cozy as the teeny place in McKinney, but the service and product selection makes up for it. Even on a busy Saturday night, the servers worked to find a place to put our large, no reservation, after-dinner group. Waitresses were prompt and efficient with checking drink levels and customer comfort levels. Prices are incredibly reasonable, especially for that area. Noise level was a little high, but reasonable given that it was a saturday night. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained...albeit tiny and crowded. We didn't try the food, but the stuff that passed by us smelled wonderful, and other patrons seemed happy and satiated by their choices. I'm not much of an Addison club person, but this was a lovely experience. read more
