We came for the live band and they did not disappoint. We really enjoyed the music. Our waiter was ok and the food could have used a little more seasoning. The meatballs were delicious.

I took my girlfriend here and boy oh boy was it superior. I always drove by not knowing what it was while also having this on my list of places to try haha The staff and server were so kind. They were super informative and super friendly. I forgot the servers name but he was super knowledgeable with the menu and gave us numerous recommendations to where everything sounded so good. We ended up getting the lamb skewers and the La Gorgonzola salad for apps. The lab skewers were a 10/10. Super well seasoned and the sauce on the side with the lemon was just too good. It was super tender too. The salad looked basic but it was super good too. Nothing crazy but the crispy prosciutto was a good touch rather than the usual bacon. For entree we got the rigatoni alla vodka and the risotto alla pescatora which were amazing. The rigatoni was creamy and spice wasn't too overwhelming. 9/10 just cause it was smaller than we thought haha The risotto though was big and the flavors were FLAVORING. The truffle wasn't overpowering and the flavors just complimented so well together. I've never had truffle with seafood but it was great. The scallops were a great addition too. For the side, we got some heavy things so we ended up getting the carrots. Nice balance to the entrees and the sweetness was great. Carrots were a little harder than I thought but still great tasting. For drinks, we got the Dr Pepper martini and I can't remember the other drinks name but the martini was great and the other drink was good but tasted super similar to sangria. Super nice interior but super dim too. We dined on the normal side but there's also the Sophia lounge which has live music. Didn't know how to reserve it online but next time I will try that spot at least for the bar or another meal just to enjoy the music. It was great because you couldn't even hear that side on the regular side so if you wanted to chill it's not bothering at all

Ambiance: The Sophia lounge was beautiful! We came here to celebrate my husband's birthday and the live music was a great plus to our dinner celebration. The live music was good, but a tad bit too loud for the half empty room. Service: The service was VERY slow, even on a Sunday evening. I had a reservation at 5:45 PM and we did not leave until 7:30. I did not anticipate a 2 hour dinner. Our server, Carlos, was very friendly. But our waters weren't filled throughout our meal and the food came out excruciatingly slow. Food: We love the original location of La Stella in the heart of Dallas. I felt like the food is better at the original restaurant tbh. The food was still good here, but we weren't blown away like we were with the original. The menu is similar to the original restaurant, but it had more options for steak. Parking: Complimentary valet parking

I've been trying to find a good Italian restaurant in Dallas for years. Finally, the time has come. Not only is it family owned and operated, but the dishes are as authentic as they get and it reminds me of when I was in Italy; very few places in Dallas give me that memory. The Cotolette is spectacular served table-side, the prosciutto con melone is incredible. Every bite is quality, and the best part is that the food never sits heavy at the end. Gino is fantastic, the service he provided was stunning , I recommend you ask for him on your visit. The ambiance is very relaxing, feels like an upscale NYC speakeasy, but with an ode to Italian tradition. I will only go here for authentic Italian food in Dallas, and you should too.

We came here for a birthday celebration and we were really excited to try it, since we love the location downtown Dallas. The parking is a little bizarre - it's a standard open flat lot directly behind the building, but they make you valet (complimentary). My observation is that this is designed to intentionally put the nice cars up front and the rest further back, to make it feel more high end. Sure, take my Kia to the back! We were seated in the lounge, which was really elegant and upscale. Very well decorated and intimate, with a nice performing stage for live music. We didn't think we would be getting any music at first, but about halfway through our meal a guy showed up and said he was the fill-in for the original plan. The music once it began was REALLY loud. We weren't one of the tables closest to the stage (see pic) but we still had to scream to have a conversation. Just be prepared for that. The service was okay, but the orders took a really long time. The place was not busy when we were there, and it still took way too long to get our food. We had plans post-dinner so we ended up rushing through dessert (complimentary for the birthday, which was a nice touch). For the food itself... we ordered the caprese salad, the frito misto, the vodka rigatoni, the agnolotti, the cheesy mashed potatoes, and the honey carrots. Frito misto 5/5. Light and tasty. Sauce is great. Caprese salad 5/5. Very refreshing and great portion size. Vodka rigatoni 4.5/5. Tasty, but for some reason this one is better (and my all time favorite) at the other location. Agnolotti 3/5. Small portion, and the filling was a mush that was lacking flavor. The sauce on the outside was decent. Potatoes 2/5. The server hyped these, but they were very mediocre and a bit bland. I wouldn't get these again. Carrots 4.5/5. I liked these a lot. Soft and sweet. This location's menu is more steakhouse focused and we didn't get a steak.. I realize that, and maybe the steaks are phenomenal. Overall, it was cool. I'd come back and try more things. Just need to make sure I'm prepared for a several hour dinner, and for high volume music.

We came in on a Friday night (reservation recommended) and sat at a high top in the music lounge. The venue was classy, vibes were immaculate, and the libations were perfectly crafted. It didn't stop there though. Not only was the music excellent and service extremely attentive, but the food was perfectly prepared. We each had a waygu steak and shared sautéed spinach & glazed carrots. If you're looking for a date spot, guys/girls night out, or just a chill evening listening to top notch jazz, this is absolutely your spot!

Foodie Alert! I was so excited to finally dine here. My friend and I came for Easter dinner. Let's start with the good: the ambiance is beautiful. We sat in the Sophia Music Lounge. However, that wasn't where I initially wanted to sit. I preferred the main dining area so I could enjoy tableside service. But I found out they weren't offering tableside service on Easter, so just a heads-up about that for other holidays. Our waitress was phenomenal. She was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. We had the Stellini for our drink it was delicious!! 10/10. Now for the food, I have to be honest-- I wasn't really impressed. Coming from their other location and being a huge pasta fan, I thought this was going to be amazing, but it was just okay. I enjoyed the Gorgonzola Wedge Salad; it was enough to split between two people. We also had Cannoli Oscar, and it was just okay. I think it might have been better if the meat had been warm. For the main dishes, we ordered the 'Nduja Carbonara and the Cacio E Pepe, and we were not impressed by these dishes either. If anything, the Cacio E Pepe had a little more flavor. However, both pastas were very undercooked, very chewy, and lacked good seasoning. I was very shocked because I've heard so many great things about this place and their pasta, but it didn't meet our expectations. And considering the price, everything should be top-notch. I'm always willing to try again. But I would rate the service 10/10 and the food 5/10.

Came in for date night & was greeted with champagne while we waited. We didn't get sat immediately, but the champagne made the wait easy. It was about 15 mins. We had Alex as our server and he was phenomenal. They give you bread and a butter type deal, although I didn't fancy it much. My date had the branzino and added the red potatoes which were a great addition. I had the spicy red pasta, the Alessandra. It was great. I didn't enjoy my drink the most (a fort Shirley), but Alex took care of that for me. I saw others getting tableside pasta Alfredo mixed in the huge cheese bowl. Loved the ambiance, and will try their lounge side next time. It had live music. Wonderful night for date night or special occasions. The food is great, service is amazing, and ambiance is top tier.

Update - March 2026 I came back to La Stella's Italian Steakhouse recently and had to update my review specifically for the lasagna. It is honestly the best lasagna I have ever had at a restaurant. The layers were perfectly balanced; rich meat sauce, creamy cheese, and pasta that was cooked just right. Nothing was overly heavy or dry, which can happen with lasagna. Every bite had that slow-cooked, homemade flavor that you usually only get from someone's Italian grandmother. The portion was generous, the cheese was perfectly melted, and the sauce had a deep, savory flavor that really stood out. It's the kind of dish you keep thinking about after you leave. If you visit La Stella's, the lasagna is absolutely a must-order. I would come back just for that dish alone.

Get: Prime Rib (roast),lamp chops, wedge salad, mushroom (side), and asparagus (side). Pass on: Branzino and caprese salad. The branzino was fine, but not nearly as good as the prime rib, lamb chops, meatballs, or even the calamari. We celebrated my sister's birthday at La Stella Italian Steakhouse, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. The ambiance was stunning, elegant, warm, and perfect for a special occasion. The service was phenomenal; the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. We ordered a range of dishes: the ribeye and lamb chops were all cooked to perfection, and the calamari and carpaccio were great. The salads were crisp and fresh, and the drinks were equally fantastic. Yes, it is a bit on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for- top-notch quality all around. I also loved the attached lounge, where we enjoyed live music and a great vibe after dinner. I can't recommend La Stella enough, this is a gem for anyone seeking a memorable Italian steakhouse experience!

La Stella Italian Steakhouse in Addison is the brand new sister spot to La Stella Cucina Verace, and after one visit I can confidently say they understood the assignment. They have only been open about six weeks, but everything already feels polished and intentional. Atmosphere Absolutely gorgeous. Think chandeliers, velvet seating, and Sophia Loren photos giving classic old Hollywood energy. The restaurant is split into two different vibes. The Sophia Lounge is the bar area with high tops, cozy two tops, and a stage for live bands. The music was great, but if you are planning deep conversation, prepare to raise your voice. Each table had a fresh red rose which was a really nice touch. The main dining room is still upscale but much calmer. You can hear the music without feeling like you are inside the band. There is also a real Italian moped in the middle of the space which is random and fun. Service Top tier. We called because we were running late for our reservation and they happily moved us. We originally booked the Sophia Lounge and thought we would lose that seating, but they still accommodated us when we arrived. Our server, Eslam, was fantastic. He knew the menu inside and out, gave great recommendations, and paced the meal perfectly. Attentive without hovering. Cocktails Guilietta 5 out of 5. Light, refreshing, slightly citrusy with rosemary on top. Easy to drink. Godfather 5 out of 5. Disaronno and scotch, simple and made perfectly. After dinner we tried Dolce Notte, basically an espresso martini with vanilla vodka. I do not even like coffee and still thought it was really good. My sister loved it. The Oscar was a pistachio martini and tasted like dessert in a glass. Food Polpette Della Nonna 4.5 out of 5. Great flavor and marinara. Texture was just slightly softer than I prefer, but I still finished them. Caprese Invernale 3.5 out of 5. This is on me. It uses beets instead of tomatoes and I do not like beets. If you do, you will probably enjoy it. Paccheri al Ragu Napoletano 5 out of 5. Short rib and pasta that I could have eaten twice. Perfectly al dente pasta and super tender meat. Agnolotti Pizzicati 5 out of 5. Veal filled pasta with sage brown butter. Rich, balanced, and honestly unforgettable. 8 oz Wagyu Filet 5 out of 5. Melt in your mouth tender and cooked perfectly. The green peppercorn crema was a great finishing touch. Whipped potatoes 5 out of 5. Creamy, cheesy, with bacon mixed in, not too heavy. These disappeared fast. Dessert Torta Della Chef 5 out of 5. A huge 10 layer cake with pistachio and multiple chocolates. When it came to the table my sister literally gasped. It tastes as good as it looks and we definitely took some home. Final thoughts La Stella is perfect for date night or a celebration when you want dinner to feel like an experience. Just pick your seating based on your vibe. Lounge for energy and music, dining room for conversation. Already planning a return visit, mostly for that tableside fettuccine in the cheese wheel because obviously.

My girlfriend and I came here for lunch on Monday. She told me they just started offering lunch. Honestly I didn't even realize there was a restaurant here when I pulled in until I drove around the back. I was immediately greeted by the hostess and brought to our table. Our waiter was a very kind older man and he was just wonderful. I really enjoyed the customer service. Our cups never went below half full. We started out with the octopus, burrata and meatballs for our appetizers. All three were really tasty. The octopus was delicious; and cooked perfectly. It was already sliced up and I loved the flavors along with the texture of the potatoes with it. The meatballs were so tender and well flavored. Probably one of my favorites I've had meatball wise. The burrata didn't look super appealing to me but the flavors really went nicely together. My friend got the chicken and I got the squid ink pasta. Hers was cooked perfectly and delicious. Mine was very good. I wasn't crazy about all the olives but overall it was tasty. I have a favorite spot in Fairview that does it spicy with shrimp; so honestly theirs is better than the one I had for lunch. But still the flavors were nice. Really loved all the options on their lunch menu. Interested in trying them out for dinner.

CARPACCIO TEXANO* CANNOLI OSCAR wagyu beef tenderloin, grana padano, jalapeños, arugula, lemon aioli, parmesan crisps, casa piccinini
    Gina K.

The restaurant is very spacious and well decorated. Can seat large parties which is always a plus. Started off with Polpette Della Nonna ( wagyu meatballs ) the sauce was amazing, the meatballs seemed to have a lot of breading. The Cannoli Oscar was very good. The cannolis were stuffed with crab, had a nice crispy texture and the sauce was very complementary to the dish. Steak carpaccio was pretty bland and overpriced. Seems like much we had needed seasoning or at the least, salt. The Agnolotti Pizzicati was complicated. I loved the pasta and sauce but the veal tasted like refried beans filling. The Ossicuco Milanese was delicious. The meat was super tender, I didn't care too much for the risotto. Again, the whole dish needed salt. The pistachio cake was below average and had shells from the pistachio which weren't that pleasant to bite into when not expecting it. Server- Christopher- absolutely amazing/ great service Manager- Kyle - very attentive and professional Wine- Heitz Cellar 2018 Napa Cab- oaky, earthy pairs well with beef.
