    Bbq chicken pizza
    Jeanine K.

Not sure what took us to long to try this place but we were pleasantly surprised. Didn't realize it was counter service, but service was quick! I got the small bbq chicken pizza which was so good, loved the balance of flavors and textures and the crust was delicious! My husband went with the Asian chicken wrap which he said was good but nothing special. He did upgrade to the side of creamy French onion which we both loved. Great creative twist on a classic! My kids had the kids pizza and chicken fingers which were the perfect portion and I felt a reasonable price. We also tried the chips with blue cheese app which was delicious- my husband put some Texas Pete on it too- highly recommend! [[HIGHLIGHT]]While the inside has plenty of seating I will say I think it could do with a little fixing up. Lots of spots/dings on the walls and some messed up chairs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] That won't keep us away though! Will definitely be back soon

If you're in Winston you can't go wrong with the loop, all the food is so fresh and delicious! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It has a cool deli/cafe atmosphere,[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] they don't have table service so if you're looking for a fresh quick lunch with no rush, check them out! We had the Asian chicken wrap with tomato soup and the chicken Caesar wrap with tomato soup, both were excellent, we couldn't decide which was best.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a casual warm place to dine![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love how there's a variety of options to choose from! We got the steak fries which was amazing!!! The bow tie shrimp was just alright, the shrimp was tasty and the bow ties were a little bit overcooked... My friend got pizza and she finished everything so must've been good! The fries were delicious!!!! I would come back and try the other items on their menu. So you'd walk in the restaurant and order at the counter and be given a pager then find a place to sit. When your food is ready the pager will sound and you either go up and retrieve the meal or if you're lucky a staff brings the food to you!

We saw The Loop while visiting the Thruway Shopping Center before, but decided on lunch at another eatery we were familiar with. Fast forward to this week - we knew that Yelp had an event earlier in the week which we were unable to attend. We saw pictures throughout the week that made us want to check them out. We arrived about 2:30pm on Sunday afternoon. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They do have a nice patio area which would offer a great opportunity in nicer weather.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]However, upon looking closer, it needed a good general cleaning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We proceeded inside and again, the dingy theme continued.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It seemed a bit strange there were menus on a side table as you made your way to the counter to order.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We looked over the menu and liked they had quite a few pizza and salad options. We proceeded to the counter to order. The young man who took our order was helpful but appeared not to be incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. We also noted there were quite a few employees gathered around the kitchen area who appeared to only be talking and not doing anything else. We counted at least nine employees and it was not very busy. No one was stocking supplies, cleaning tables, organizing, preparing orders, nothing. Both my wife and I wondered how the business was making any money. This continued throughout our entire time here. We paid when we ordered and the machine asked for a tip. I looked at my wife and wondered. We are ordering at the counter, filling our own drink, picking up our order and clearing our own table. What am I tipping for? My wife ordered a Sunflower Kale salad with salmon and I ordered 12 inch Meat Market pizza with extra sauce because I wanted some leftovers. We were given a pager and told we could choose a table. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was a variety of tables and booths available, most were empty and several were still dirty with crumbs, etc.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our pager went off a short while later and we picked up our order at the counter. Our food looked delicious. We brought it to our table and proceeded to dig in. I thought the pizza was good but if this was extra sauce, the regular pizza must not have any. I still enjoyed the pizza. My wife enjoyed her salad and would get it again. [[HIGHLIGHT]]However, she said she would get it to go, since we weren't impressed with the in person experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This really could have been a lot better with improvements. When we are in the area again we will likely go somewhere else. We hope they can make the necessary improvements in order to succeed. In our opinion they need a little help.

Great lunch spot. The soup of the day is always delicious. Known for their pizzas. My favorite is sausage with goat cheese. Save room for a brownie. Friendly service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Indoor and outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great location while shopping.

Very quiet at 2:30. Ordered the hawaiin pizza which wasn't on menu. I'm glad I asked the cashier. It's very flavorful and cheesy with a honey drizzle on top. Crust was crispy. Overall a great pizza Service was fine. Cashier was helpful and friendly [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance. Not much as it was pretty quiet[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We tried The Loop for the first time! My husband got the Cajun chicken sandwich. The chicken was a little dry and could've used more seasoning, but the honey mustard was a nice touch. His Caesar salad was very classic, nothing fancy, but I was impressed with the size for just being a side salad. I went with the 8-inch special pizza. Portion size was perfect for one person, a little on the greasy side, and the sausage was a bit odd. Honestly gave me late-night-after-drinks pizza vibes - not necessarily bad, just the type of craving food you'd demolish after going out. Staff was friendly, food came out quick, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the building itself is awesome with tons of indoor and outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Super cool location with lots of potential![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Wow! Such a great find in WS area. I have driven past this place so many times. I didn't know it was counter service, but everyone was very friendly! We have been here twice in the past week. My husband got the southwest burger which was delicious! I got the chicken Cesar wrap which was also tasty! We will definitely be back.

Went to The Loop this afternoon for lunch. The restaurant looks nice and I love that there is outside seating. The service was good and we didn't have to wait on our food terribly long. We ordered pizzas and they were really very tasty. My daughter ordered the kids macaroni and cheese and I was a bit disappointed to see it was Kraft. Wish it would mention that on the menu, as I am not a fan. Would have expected a house made version. I had the FETA MEDITERRANEAN (VG) artichokes, greek olives, red onions, grape tomatoes, croutons & balsamic vinaigrette. It's a really good salad BUT I only had two small artichokes and just a few olives, so I would have enjoyed it more if I had more of those and a lot less onions. Tried their ranch and bleu cheese on the side and they are both great! The sanitation grade is 96.5, I'd really love to see that grade come up some. Overall, I would go back. (Pictures have a reddish tent bc we sat outside and the umbrellas are red.)

Currently addicted to the chicken Caesar wrap. Now that I'm talking about it I may actually have to go back this week and get another. Sometimes it can be hard to find good Caesar dressing, but the loop definitely has a great one. I'll eventually venture out and try something else on the menu.

The Loop is a nice family friendly location where you could enjoy a good burger, salad or pizza. The place is trendy looking. Very clean with exceptional service. The menu is easy to choose from with plenty of options for your palate. I like that they also have outside seating available with plenty of space overlooking the shopping center it's located in. Interior noise not too loud. The food looked great and tasted even better. Definitely coming back.

3.5 stars. The guy who took our order was rude and seemed uninterested. Everybody with me ordered after me and somehow got their good first. My order was wrong. to make matters worse I found a what looks like an eyelash hair in my FRIES. I went up and asked what the wait was and they got upset. [[HIGHLIGHT]]People around us are loud.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Unsatisfactory.

Service has really gone downhill and the staff is not friendly. Major attitudes from the grill. Food is either overcooked or undercooked.

Second time visiting Grandpa Joe's, first time ordering their pizza and Wowie Zowie!…read more The base of the pizza is Bobby Boy Bakery focaccia and the richness and complexity of it transforms the pizza into an almost dessert-like experience. Crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside, slightly charred, it's a flavor and texture masterpiece. Mine was topped with burrata and prosciutto, they were generous with the prosciutto and it was so good and perfectly complimented by the melty burrata. A side of marina sauce adds extra zing. I found half a piece to be a satisfactory amount. My husband said he had almost ordered two pieces but only ordered one, he ate the other half of mine and found 1-1/2 pieces to be a good amount for him. He said he could have eaten two but 2-1/2 would have been too much. I chose a can of red wine to accompany this showpiece. The man behind the counter noted that the wine is made from Sangiovese grapes (as is Chianti, which is a Sangiovese blend). I thought it was an ok accompaniment to the pizza, it's not something I would drink on its own. The weather was perfect for dining al fresco, the other patrons were mostly groups of young couples, some with babies strapped to their bodies or in strollers or young children scooting about on riding toys. Pleasant.

James Beard semifinalist. Ranked top 50 in the USA for numerous years and #18 in 2025 ("50 Top…read morePizza USA" rankings). Let me repeat...#18 in the thousands and thousands of pizza joints across the country. And right here in our very own Triad area! Super cozy interior with an exquisite Italian style pizza oven, great mood lighting and a wonderful bar top right by where the main pizza makers are doing their thing. But let's get to the food. I say this and I do not say it lightly...THE BEST NEAPOLITAN STYLE PIZZA I'VE HAD IN YEARS. This place isn't your typical neighborhood pizza joint. It's in a league of it's own compared to those, especially when it comes to Neapolitan style pizzas. First, the arancini app was superb. Crispy and hot on the outside, with soft rice and oozing cheese in the middle, cradled on the plate by an amazing homemade marinara sauce. And the main event, a mushroom pizza. The dough is one of the best I've had, light and fluffy, and baked to perfection. Chef Peyton is an artist and the pizza dough is his canvas. All the main ingredients (the cheese, dough and sauce) are all in the true Neapolitan form. And the toppings aren't your typical grocery store level stuff. The mushrooms were a medley of oyster and trumpet mushrooms, locally sourced from Heritage Harvest Farm. And these don't just get thrown on raw and the whole pizza baked...oh no. Chef Peyton prepares them prior in a skillet which get put in the pizza oven to roast and pre-bake. You can taste the difference here. And I was told that many of the ingredients are locally sourced, fresh and farm to table. Pure perfection from crust to crust, end to end, top to bottom. Let's talk about the price and put it in perspective. Sure, it's a little more pricy than your local pizza shop down the street. But the high value you're getting here absolutely validates the pricing. The fresh farm to table ingredients and the meticulously made pizzas are on another level. And honestly, I've had more expensive Italian food and pizza, and many of them don't come close when comparing apples to apples. It's 100% worth it. I'm a pizza lover, fan and addict. This ranks in the top 3, if not higher, pizza experiences I've had throughout the decades. I can't wait to go back and try their "Pizzakase", an omakase style Italian tasting experience. If you love pizza, Italian food, or just experiencing something truly delicious, you need to come and try it. This will be our go to "pizza experience" spot for years to come.

Sometimes we open Yelp and decide to go to some places just because we've never heard of it before…read moreand the reviews are awesome. Vinnie's Pizzeria was that for us today. When we want pizza, I'm looking for authentic New York style or some brick oven baked charred crust. Vinnie's isn't either of these but it had great reviews from fellow yelpers so of course we needed to see it for ourselves. It was pretty crowded when we arrived but we didn't have to wait long before we were seated. Dominique our Server helped us decide what to order. She was awesome and fun and we could tell she loved her job and the food there. I love that! She highly recommended the garlic knots so we started with those. My husband got Chicken Marsala on Dominique's recommendation. I ordered Chicken Cannelloni. The portions are very generous and I ended up taking some home for a nice treat later. Everything we had was delicious and now I want to go back and try the pizza.

A surprizingly small eatery, has a separate dining area with booths and some tables. Our server was professional and kind, we ordered our drinks and a start with their version of Bruschetta. This was an excellent start for our evening there. A beautiful presentation of five pieces, nicely toasted with paper thin prosciutto de parma, fresh mozzarella, chopped tomato, capers and balsamic reduction drizzle. Delicious, rich, crunchy, sweet, savory and full flavored. I went for the Parmigiana with chicken, served over angel hair with a rich tomato sauce. A hearty meal, the chicken cutlet was breaded nicely, and pounded thin, cooked very well. The pasta underneath cooked al dante, and it all smoothered in a rich maranara. We also tried the Mediterranean pizza, a 12" and it was huge. A well made pie, loaded with ingredients. The combination of fresh pesto with the mushrooms, olives, banana peppers, roasted red peppers and feta was a solid choice. Along with a cold draft Stella it made for an very good meal. 4 Stars a solid choice for a good meal 01242

Always on the quest to try new things, this was our lunch time stop once day while out and about. It was a beautiful sunny day, and I appreciated that there were outside seating options. There were both exposed and shaded areas, plus plenty of indoor seating. The whole thing their brand revolves around is a large wood-fired oven, and you can see this prominently when you walk in the door. The subtle smoky smell really adds to the atmosphere and makes you hungry right away. We came during lunch time, so we took advance of their lunch specials, where you get a half serving of a pizza plus another item (we both opted for wings as the other item.) I opted for the 4X4 pizza (4 meats) and the Garlic Rosemary wings, while my wife got the Bronx Bomber pizza and buffalo wings. On both sides, the wings were delicious in an unexpected way, grilled but with a nice char, and full of meat. The seasonings on both were just right, and I didn't even bother dipping mine in any dressing. The 4x4 pizza was quite greasy, with oil dripping off when you pick it up. I used a bunch of napkins to blot what I could off, but the amount of grease got in the way of enjoying the flavor. To be fair, it is on an olive oil base, but when you combine that with all the intrinsic fat of the processed meats, it was too much. The Bronx Bomber, however, was much better. With spicy Italian sausage, prosciutto, mozzarella, Gorgonzola, and topped with fresh oregano, it was flavorful but balanced, and good to the last bite. The server we had, who's name escapes me, was very friendly, attentive, and made helpful suggestions. I'd certainly come back here another day for lunch, though I would pass on the 4x4 Pizza next time.
