If you cannot resolve a problem, or if it is an ongoing issue, you should escalate it to someone with the expertise and authority to address consumer concerns. Do not wait for customers to approach you after the situation has already deteriorated, especially when a flippant response has shifted the tone of the interaction. Another option would have been to table the conversation for a later time or on a different day until more information was available. What began as a discussion about a product concern quickly became focused on a employee instead of the issue itself. The manager appeared to become frustrated, stated to understand the main concern, yet responded with an unnecessarily intense tone and level of defensiveness. There was considerable deflection, repetition, and what felt like half-truths rather than a sincere effort to work toward a mutual solution. The manager should remember that they represent the Root of Happiness brand. We have been patronizing Root of Happiness for at least 10 years, long before the owners expanded to the Roseville, Midtown, and Rocklin locations. Additionally, over the last few weeks, the Justin's Peanut Butter Cups have seemed unusually dry. It may be the result of a bad batch from the vendor or the effects of extreme weather conditions impacting the product's quality.

The hostess greeted us with a question. "You ladies came to drink or to eat?" She asked. We came for both! We sat outside near the entrance way. It was a nice shaded corner and it gave some privacy from the plants that were decorated along the entry way. The menu was small and interesting. First hour is happy hour $2 off drinks and $10 off food. I'd say this place is perfect for drinks and apps. There isn't a big variety for entree's. But those appetizers were the show! Our Order: grilled riblets, garnish shrimp pieces, watermelon tomato salad beef sliders French fries and the blackened salmon. The ribs-10/10 fall off the bone seasoned well with some kind of green sauce at the bottom. The garlic shrimp- 10/10 in chili garlic oil with focaccia bread. Watermelon tomato salad- 10/10 feta cheese always takes the show! Beef sliders- 10/10 us just being greedy but so good. French fries- 9/10 decent portion! Blackened salmon- 8/10 compared to how flavorful the appetizer's were it made the salmon lack in taste. Something was missing but it was still good loved the coconut milk flavor in the jasmine rice! All in all 10 out of 10 highly recommend!

After a couple of drinks, we decided to check out the patio area. We were surprised to find a very cozy outdoor space. Not that it was on, but they have outdoor fire pits. They also have an outdoor bar. The area makes you feel like you're on vacation! It's dog friendly as well. Overall, looks like a great place to meet friends! Friendly staff. We didn't eat here. The food being delivered to the other tables looked yummy!!

While a booth would be preferable as they can accommodate a group our size, those are prized on Trivia night. This evening, staff brought an additional four stools to the bar so we could all sit. They were out of the "Jackrabbit done gone working(?) Pilsner" so, I ordered the lager. On the special list was a rib eye, but I didn't care for the sides (garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus), so I went with the New York off the main menu which included herbed butter, mashed potatoes, heirloom tomato with crumbled gorgonzola. Steak was done to medium rare perfection, potatoes delicious and I very much enjoyed the tomatoes. Katie ordered a salad, She and JJ shared her margarita pizza. It was huge. We brought some home. Didn't see what the others ordered but all enjoyed their food and drinks. Trivia here is a ton of fun. Friends have hired the emcee for private gatherings. The stress over seating may have us seeking out another venue.

I usually grab a seat at the bar. It's got that fun, mellow energy that makes it a great place to chill and catch up. The service is consistently solid, and everything just feels easy and relaxed. This time around, we hit up the happy hour menu and ordered a few appetizers. The nachos were solid, but the cheese bread stole the show. So. Freaking. Good. Totally worth the carb splurge (even if tomorrow me might have some regrets... today me has zero). If you're into low key spots that check all the boxes without trying too hard, this one's definitely worth checking out

It looks nice on the outside, but the second you walk in, they try to shake you down and rob you blind. We wanted to rent a karaoke room for 2 hours. Some sketchy dude working there tried to claim it was $500 for 2 hours. His justification? It comes with "unlimited beer." Are you out of your mind?! Unless we are hosting a 20-person frat party, nobody is drinking $500 worth of beer in two hours. He was straight-up trying to charge us DOUBLE the actual rate and pocket the cash. The biggest red flag? HE REFUSED TO SHOW US THE ACTUAL PRICE MENU. Kept hiding it and making up numbers on the spot because he knew he was pulling a fast one. Total shady, predatory behavior. If your prices are legit, why are you hiding the menu like a thief? They size you up at the door and try to hustle you. We walked out, and you should too. This place is run by literal scammers. Stay far, far away. 0/5 STARS.

You know how when you check into a hotel and stay there for a few days, you notice things that…read moreeither delight you or you find disappointing. Unfortunately, this had a lot of small disappointments that added up to -I wouldn't stay here again. After being out a full day and coming back to our room, no one had serviced it. Evidently it's done every other day although this is not made very obvious. There's only one working elevator and the occupancy was very high, including a LOT of 10 year-old boys that like to run down the halls and play outside the window till 9:30 PM. There's only one trashcan, so either put it next to the coffee station or in the bathroom. Either way you're gonna be carrying discarded trash across the room. There's no provision for recycling. There's no luggage rack so one person has a nice place to put their suitcase but the second person would have to either put it on the sofa or the desk -which defeats the purpose of having a sofa or a desk. There's no hand or body lotion. The room refrigerator does not have a freezer so we could not refreeze our traveling ice packs. The towel rack is inside the shower, which I find weird. There's one hook on the back of the door so it's not easy to hang up too damp towels if you're there with your partner. I was unable to use the TV to check out and review my account. It said the feature wasn't working. No surprise. Breakfast on Monday was different and better relatively than the weekend. The oatmeal was thickest I've ever seen. I'm not sure what they use for eggs but the Greek yogurt and fruit was nice. On the upside, they waived the $14 daily parking fee (which seems ridiculous that they would even charge in the first place) & the shower pressure is fantastic. We did walk to a Mongolian stirfry place, which was very good, but this is not a pedestrian friendly area. We had to cross two freeway on ramps, which was scary. There are too many options to be OK with a hotel that is not customer oriented, but rather making it as economical for the business as possible.

I ended up doing both just in case. Staff is friendly and welcoming. I had a King bed room located on the third floor. Floor was up to date and clean. King bed room has a mini fridge, sink, coffee/tea maker, and couch. I did notice and was little disappointed that there wasn't a safe located in the room (unless I missed it but I looked). Hotel has a pool, fitness room, bar, restaurant and breakfast is served Monday through Friday 6:30am to 9am (unsure of weekend breakfast since my stay was during the week). I used the fitness room. It is small and mostly cardio equipment. There are dumbbells in there but not much room to be able to lift if other people are working out too. I was pleasantly surprised to see a Peloton in there. Fitness room has towels and individually packaged headphones. Overall I was happy with my stay. My only complaint is the mini fridge in the room barely got cold to keep food. I was here for a week for a work trip so frequently had leftovers. With the fridge not getting cold enough, I was skeptical on eating any of my leftovers. Exhaust fan in bathroom did not work. Also, it should be noted housekeeping does not come everyday day but instead every second night. However you can still request extras of what you need (towels, coffee, tea, etc).
