The lox bagel on salt and herb was well-complimented by the pickled vegetables, and their twist on a salt bagel packed an herbaceous and savory flavor without too much salt. The iced coffee with cream was good and nice to sit and wait with, and even though we came on a busy Sunday afternoon, the sandwiches came out quickly. Finding parking was not too much of a hassle. My boyfriend picked up our sandwiches so I wasn't able to see the inside of the restaurant, but my meal experience was AMAZING. Their bagels are so soft and fresh and so was the salmon on the lox sandwich. The southwest sandwich was my favorite. It was very savory with the added braised pork, salsa and guac. Parking is TERRIBLE on weekends, be prepared to park far away from this bagel shop. It was super crowded (Sunday at 12noon) and had to wait in a long line. Upon arriving at the front counter -I gave my order of a Gluten Free bagel sandwich - the young thin woman with black hair and arms full of tattoos said they don't offer GF bagels and something about a box. I've given up on finding New York quality bagels outside of New York. It's just not going to happen. But this place has far been the est bagels I've found outside of New York. They're consistent and the toppings (ie., everything bagels) are always sprinkled evenly across the bagels, they're crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside. Let's talk about the Lox. The lox is DELICIOUS and the portions they give you is great! The lox is so fresh, salted perfectly and it goes so well with their silky egg. I got a breakfast sandwich with an everything bagel, lox, and bacon. Their sauce on the sandwich is excellent too. The little shop is cute and quaint and has some outdoor seating on a nice day! This is one of my favorite breakfast places! I love salmon in any form so when I heard about their lox bagel, I knew I needed to try it. Today I decided would be the day I tried The Lox for the first time! I've heard so much hype about The Lox and I couldn't wait to try. FYI they have a parking lot so you don't need to attempt parking on high street. The location is so cute with plenty of seating and great lighting. Good vibes all around. The staff is great and make you feel right at home! I ordered the sea salt and herb bagel with chive cream cheese, camila ordered an everything bagel with plain cream cheese, and emma ordered a cuban on an everything bagel. The bagels looked beautiful, no doubt. But I think we all agreed that although the bagels tasted good, it wasn't as great as the hype. Definitely better than Brueggers or another bagel chain, but not the best bagel I've ever had. Overall a fun experience with my friends and a pretty good lunch. I've been eyeing The Lox for a bit now - so many pics of their bagels on my IG feed! Finally ordered a few sandwiches during a quarantine vacay when my BF was in town, and we were not disappointed. During COVID-19 times, The Lox offers online ordering, and while they don't allow patrons to enter the business, they very eagerly bring your order in a sealed bag out to you in front of the shop. Love the service and accommodations during these times! The menu is definitely small, but I would rather them showcase their few dishes and excellent bagels. They feature just 4 bagels, but after reading so much praise about the sea salt and herb ones, my BF and I both opted for that as the base of our respective sandwiches. The bagels themselves were very fluffy and well-seasoned - the specks of sea salt definitely stood out, and I could tell that the bagels were made fresh just that day. I went for the classic lox sandwich and my BF for the cuban. My lox was so good - the cream cheese on the bagel paired nicely with the flavorful salmon, and the capers really brought it all together. While it is in the nature of the sandwich, I did find it all to be quite salty - but also my fault for getting the bagel with "sea salt" in the name, lol. Overall, I loved all the flavors together! My BF really enjoyed the cuban too - we were both really impressed by the amount of meat packed on the bagel. He did say it was a bit greasy, but since our meals were packed in a bagel and may have been sitting for a few minutes before we picked them up, it's hard to know if they made the grease situation worse. Regardless, he really enjoyed the sandwich too! The Lox is a great addition to the Short North offerings, and a nice change of pace to have a truly dedicated non-chain bagel spot in the city. I felt like I was somewhat transformed to NYC with the quality of bagel and lox, so I appreciate having that getaway right here in OH. I will say that the prices are a bit steep for a bagel sandwich, and while certainly not unreasonable, would be better on the wallet if knocked down a few bucks. But overall, we enjoyed our lunch at The Lox and would definitely recommend for lunch or breakfast while in CBus! read more

You know how sometimes you get a bagel and it's almost gummy and you feel like you need a visit to the dentist afterwards? These are perfect bagels.
