The Lox is a great bagel sandwich shop. Out of my time in Colombus, OH, this had to have the best bagel sandwiches around. I got the Southwest with an Everything Bagel and it was delicious. The peppers rounded out the flavors and I loved the egg and guac that was in the sandwich too. The coffee selection here is limited, so if you're looking for a latte or a fancier beverage definitely look elsewhere, but if you don't mind a basic cold brew with creamer and syrup this place will have you covered. The staff is very nice and the ambiance is great with a lot of natural light. This place is also busy, so be prepared to wait especially if it's a weekend!

Bustling bagel shop with a fantastic vegan lox bagel sandwich. The lemonade is also worth it. If you're here on the weekend, expect there to be a line and bring a good book to read while you're waiting for your food.

I went twice-once on a Friday morning & then on a Monday while visiting for a conference. I had an egg sandwich on a salted bagel. It was delicious. It does take awhile to get your order as they have many pre orders & a popular spot. On Monday I ordered a bagel with butter & their speciality jam. Tip: place orders ahead to pick up. The hot coffee is ok...saw lots of people order cold brew or had coffees from near by locations. Great patio & more space on the weekend.

My fiancé and I are not from the area, but while we were in town for a wedding, this bagel shop was highly recommended by the bride and groom. The restaurant itself is somewhat small, so seating can be limited, especially during busy times. However, the space was clean, well-maintained, and the service was impressively fast. What stood out the most was the staff. Everyone we encountered was incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. I ordered their signature sandwich, The Lox, on an everything bagel. The combination of lox, capers, onions, cucumbers, and cream cheese blended perfectly together to create an absolutely delicious bagel sandwich. Every ingredient complemented the others, while making each bite better than the last. If you are ever around the Short North area and are looking for a great bagel, definitely give The Lox a try! They also have dong treats for the pups!

The best bagel place ever! We have to stop anytime we are driving through Columbus. When we lived in the short north we went constantly. Ingredients are authentic, organic and homemade. The pastrami sandwich is incredible!! The rosemary and salt bagel is a fav but we love them all! Also the pickles were super good too! We loveee this place. Just expect to wait in line if you don't order online!

Super fresh bagels!! So much flavor. I could eat this every day of my life and be fat and happy! Service is always quick and order is accurate.

This is a great bagel shop in Columbus! They have a pretty extensive menu and have options for both vegetarians and vegans! It is slightly expensive. They also have a lot of fun drink options. There are A good number of tables and chairs for you to sit at, and if need be, get work done. they has large windows that welcome the sunlight to make everything more enjoyable. The service was very good. The waiters hand deliver your food. I got the blueberry mint lemonade and it was mostly filled with ice but it was good. I got both the vegan lox and the avacado toast. The vegan cashew cream cheese was good! But the vegan lox was not: it's very squishy, has a smoked flavor, and is room temperature. I didn't like it. But I really liked the avocado toast bagel!

I just moved over here and I absolutely can't keep away. I've been working my way through the menu. It is such a cute spot in the short north and very clean. I love the overall vibe and I have yet to have anything bad. The people there are always really nice and they are constantly on their A game. You must come here if you haven't.

Medium sized restaurant that's nearly full at 10am on a Saturday morning. Efficiently run and a 10 to 15 minute wait for the order to come out. Seeing the back counter, they have a it's very cold to be able to see them making the bagels in the back of the shop. And they have a huge bucket of rosemary sprigs. Just waiting to be used. All very fresh ingredients. The sandwich is large because the bagels are a good size. Chewy in the outside, soft inside. Having lived in NYC I wondered how the lox sandwich would be and it's not too bad. The lox was tender. I asked for chive cream cheese not knowing there was $1 up-charge for it. That was not obvious on the menu. I love capers on a lox sandwich and usually crave more but there were a few too many for me, making the sandwich a little salty. Easy enough to fix after the fact. I recommend The Lox and The Lox sandwich!

I have never been disappointed by the lox bagels ever! Staff is super friendly, prices unfortunately are not friendly. If you don't mind spending a little on a morning treat this is a fantastic option! I also wouldn't recommend the coffee as they only have cold brew. Overall a great place for great bagels! Super cute environment too, a little busy during peak hours but doable. They normally have outdoor seating and treats and water for dogs.

Great, freshly made bagels! I had an everything bagel with spicy chive spread and it was a little over $5. The wait wasn't too bad - about 5 minutes. As I was waiting, I was able to watch the workers prepare the dough and stretch out the bagels. I'm curious to go back and try different flavors. Parking lot is a bit small though.

I highly recommend this place if you love bagels and breakfast sandwiches! Staff were friendly and patient as I ordered food for the first time here. It's a cute cafe with an outdoor patio. The prices are decent but the sandwich I ordered was delicious! I loved that they cut your sandwich in half for easier consumption. I also loved that they give your food at a temperature you can eat it at while staying warm without burning your mouth.

There are not enough amazing things I could say about The Lox Bagel Shop; it is by far my absolute favorite bagels & bagel sandwiches in Columbus (and potentially anywhere)! The bagels are the perfect texture; toasted crisp & not too chewy, & seasoned excellently. The ingredients in all of the sandwich options are all fresh and quality, & they even have some of the best vegan cream cheese I've had on a bagel! Their service is quick & friendly which makes Lox great for both dining in and enjoying their vibes or for taking your bagels to go! My go to order is the Southwest Sandwich with the Pork added (game changer); it's unreal! Their Lox Bagel sandwich is fantastic no surprise, and everything is just incredible! This place is a must visit, worth the trip if you're from out of town, and you should take any visitors you have here for the perfect start to your day!

I opted for the Por que no el Puerco on the cashier-recommended pretzel bun. The flavors and the layers were sensational. A great bite without being too heavy or too greasy. The pretzel bun was also a great choice - some salt but not trying to actively dehydrate you with every bite. The Bear bottled latte was also quite good. It was a very unique flavor profile with obviously lots of banana but it took a little getting used to being mixed with the bitterness of the coffee and some of the nuttiness of the hazelnut and oat milk. I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to get it again, but with the limited coffee options here, I wouldn't not get it either. Overall, a really solid place to stop. Not necessarily the best place to go if you're looking for breakfast AND coffee, but certainly a great local joint to check out!

Additionally, having had a Goodman's Deli mile high corned beef sandwich when I lived in Cleveland, I had even higher expectations. Their most popular sandwich is the Reuben so I went with that. Katzingers did not meet them. When I arrived to pick up my sandwich I was shocked the line wasn't out the door to place orders before they closed and the dining room had maybe 6 people in it. There were about 6 to go bags on the shelf along with mine. When I mentioned to the cashier that I was surprised it wasn't busier, she said it'll be busier tomorrow. I said the day after St Pat's? No answer. Another not good sign in my mind. When I got home, the wrapped sandwich was bigger than my hand but not very tall. The paper had areas of grease which is a good sign for this sandwich. The corned beef itself was tender but there wasn't as much of it, maybe an inch high and 1/3 of the bread had no corned beef. I also could not taste the thousand island dressing. The rye bread was toasted but pretty soggy. The crust was mostly crunchy. The bread slices were paired upside down putting a narrower side a larger side against each other. There is not enough sauerkraut and it is not very sour. I was given the choice of a dill or garlic pickle but I cannot tell you how it was because they didn't put it in the bag. I expected this sandwich to have so much meat in it, I could eat for multiple days for $18. Again, disappointed. Maybe I should've gotten the deli sized version but paying that much for a sandwich... The inside of the deli is fun and it's obvious it's been around a long time and has been well loved. I wanted to like Katzinger's but since the price and the quality don't match, I cannot.

(The restroom for customers is so well kept and clean by the way; kudos to the business for that). There's an array of sandwiches and pastries on display for sale, as well as bread and a coffee drink menu. The prices are extremely high: think $28 for a sandwich, $16 for a pastry. So, with that price, the bar is set very high. I ordered three pastries: Copia Egg & Bacon Danish, Sweet Cheese Danish, and Almond Twice Baked Croissant. The egg and bacon danish was truly excellent -- savory, a little sweet, herbal elements (rosemary etc) that was so unique. The almond croissant was good; I appreciated the almond filling and the size. The sweet cheese danish was a real miss. It was as hard as a rock, and the cream was a very thin layer. It tasted like something you could get at a lesser chain bakery or coffee shop, and definitely not worth the price. I also ordered the salty caramel iced latte, and it was really great. The size is a little small for the price (again!), but the quality is excellent. So, there were major hits, and a big miss. I'd go back to try a few other things, but only if I am really ready to splurge.
