Came back after a couple years and this place is still just as good. Service was fast and attentive. Started off with steamed gyoza and chicken satay which was a great starter. Shared the big popper and LP rolls, the LP roll was my favorite, just such a great combination of flavors. Would definitely recommend!
There's many things that go into a 5 star review: the food, the service, the aesthetic, the vibes. I'm not from the area so imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon the BEST Thai food I've had. Our server, absolutely amazing and attentive. The whole staff at the restaurant were so pleasant and so nice. The cozy restaurant looks like any other Asian restaurant but with the perks of being in downtown st Pete. I ordered a Pad See Ew, Chicken Satay (a staple) and Thai Tea. A relatively safe meal for a Thai place. I made a mistake of ordering an appetizer bc the portions here are family sized for real for a cheap price. Spending about 18 dollars on an entree with enough food for a few days was great. I will seriously miss this place and I might have to make a stop in St Pete just for it.
It's the little, thoughtful things that make me love Lemon Grass. Take the classic Thai fresh rolls. We all know them- the soft rice paper wrapped around veggies, herbs, vermicelli, and your protein of choice. And we also know what usually happens: you dip it, take one bite, and the whole thing falls apart like it just gave up on life. Not here. Lemon Grass slices their fresh rolls sushi-style, so you get these perfect little bite-sized pieces that hold their shape. Easy to grab, easy to dip, and best of all, the sauce-to-surface ratio is elite. Every piece is JUICY good. No mess. No frustration. Just pure enjoyment. The rest of the menu is just as impressive. * Traditional Thai dishes? Top notch. * Sushi? Super fresh. * Signature rolls? A fun fusion of Japanese classics with a Thai twist (not every twist will be for everyone, but the creativity is undeniable). The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, service is solid, and the overall value is fantastic. I've already been here twice in one week... and I'll definitely be back plenty more. Highly recommend.

Came in for lunch today and ordered the chicken pas thai off the $9.99 lunch menu and what a good deal is that. Rating: Delicious!! My new favorite Pad Thai dish in St Pete. Careful with ordering it hot spicy, it was indeed hot.
Such a conveniently located spot near parking, bus, pier, downtown. This spot also boasts a great happy hour in a spacious location with great service. Drinks and food are fresh and tasty.
We were starving and had heard great things about Lemon Grass, so we decided to give it a try. At first, I was surprised by how expensive some of the entrées were, but once our food arrived, it made sense--the portions were huge! I'm glad we came starving because we were ready to eat. I ordered the Orange Chicken and was happy with how much chicken I got. Some places skimp on protein, but not here! However, the sauce was a bit too strong for my taste. It was fresh but had an overpowering orange flavor that made it hard to finish. My fiancée ordered the Pad Thai, which also came in a massive portion--enough for leftovers the next day. It was decent, good but nothing special compared to other Pad Thai dishes I've had.
Great Thai Food! They also have sushi and other things as well as a bar. Enjoy some Pad Thai or sushi with an ice cold Japanese or Thai beer Great service, and a nice upscale ambiance.
Absolutely delicious Thai food in the heart of downtown St. Pete. They have a lot of traditional options on the menu but I went with chicken pad Thai medium spicy level and it was perfect. The portions are also pretty large so you could probably share a meal or have enough for two servings (depending on how hungry you are :p). I will definitely be returning soon and trying some more items from their menu!
I've been here multiple times and for good reason. The food is excellent, the service is quick and professional and still keeps a nice ambiance. My wife thinks it might be the best sushi in St Pete. But I always end up grabbing thai meals which are delicious. Can recommend the curries or even the Khao Soi whoch I recently had. Expect big portions on the thai meals so come hungry!
Solid Thai, sushi, and tapas spot with nice ambiance and great lunch specials. I had the sushi lunch option for $16.95 which is supposed to be one regular roll, 6 pieces of nigiri, miso soup or salad, egg roll and gyoza. I chose the bagel roll (variation of a Philly roll) and also had the tom yum soup with chicken. Both were very good. I cannot speak to the miso soup, egg roll, or gyoza as they were never brought to me. Service was somewhat of an issue and the reason this review is 3 stars instead of 4 - I wanted to upgrade my miso soup ($5) in the lunch special to a tom yum soup ($7) but they wouldn't let me and instead I had to buy an additional separate tom yum soup. They also did not bring me the egg roll or gyoza or miso soup that were supposed to come with the lunch special that I ordered and paid for. So I ended up getting charged more than I should have and not receiving all the items I paid for. I would have mentioned this to our waiter, but was at a networking lunch so I didn't feel like causing a scene. However, I left feeling I had been taken advantage of. While I may come back and hope for better service, I cannot in good conscience leave the 4 star review I otherwise would have for this visit.
Lemongrass is quickly becoming my favorite sushi restaurant in downtown St Pete. We sat outside on a Friday evening around 730 with no wait. The patio is a nice vibe with shade. We ordered edamame to start, and I also got the Weezer Roll (the tuna roll) and a holiday spring roll. The rolls are amazing because they are loaded with fresh fish, not just a ton of rice. Everything is fresh and delicious. Service is great, large menu, and will definitely be back.

Work in DTSP and wanted to try some local spots. Brought my golden with me, and my daughter. Had outside seating which made it convenient for my broken leg and knee scooter. Great weekly lunch specials. I got the orange chicken lunch box. And OMG it was so much food for ~$15. Couldn't even eat it all. Delicious and good pricing. And the people watching is top tier. read more
I'm at a front here for lunch on a Tuesday. They were pretty busy. They have indoor and outdoor seating. It is all street parking. They have a great lunch offering. It starts at $9.99 and goes up to 16.95. You can get all sorts of homemade Thai noodle or curry dishes, pan asian dishes or sushi. They also include a little salad or miso soup and a spring roll and gyoza. It is quite a good deal. They also bring it out pretty fast and understand that when you are going for lunch, you are on a limited time frame. The servers are very friendly. They have also added a new Matcha and specialty coffee bar with baked treats at the front of the restaurant. Following our lunch, my girlfriend and I decided to scoop it out. I got a pistachio Matcha cookie. It was quite tasty. It had a pistachio cream filling in the middle of the cookie. I also got a hojicha latte iced. My friend got a london fog. We had an attentive waitress, food served promptly; great portions; Excellent happy hour options & prices; very good steamed shrimp shuami; Kai soi tofu amazing; pad see ew good but a tad too sweet rather than savory; good Thai tea; parang curry was excellent; casual ambience. read more

Went for a lunch meeting and ordered the lunch special. The appetizers and miso soup came out quickly. The soup had good flavor and the temperature was perfect. The appetizers were just okay, nothing special. The spicy tuna was just okay. The spice was more in the sauce spread over it than mixed in with the tuna. The sauce on the spicy crab was very good making that roll my favorite of this meal. The service was prompt and polite. Nice ambiance with low level noise. read more

Lemongrass came highly recommended by numerous coworkers of mine. I gave it a shot and do not regret! I ordered pad Thai with shrimp and y'all, the portion is HUGE. The pictures don't do it justice. I couldn't even finish half of it. The pad Thai itself was absolutely delicious. And they got it out to me SO QUICKLY. Much impressed. The restaurant is big, plenty of seating. It's got a nice ambiance to it and would be great for date nights. The server I had was super nice and attentive. I sincerely appreciate how awesome she was! (I didn't get her name ) Will absolutely be back! The menu was pretty extensive so I'd like to try their sushi next time read more

Really great sushi spot! Just a couple downfalls--one thing is that they don't take reservations. But the upside is that I went for dinner here at 7pm on a Friday night and I was seated right away which is a plus. However, the food took legit an hour to come out which wasn't ideal--not sure what the hold up was because the place was busy but not terribly packed. Thankfully the food was super tasty, we got a couple rolls and some sashimi and it was very fresh and flavorful. Our waitress was really friendly and the whole environment was casual but unique. Safe to say I'll stop by again in the future! read more

Really great! Took an old friend to where he wanted to eat. It was the Lemongrass! It was terrific. We had a couple of Sapporos California rolls spring rolls and he had the salmon teriyaki and the miso soup. All was outstanding and the server was great and helpful in our selections. The ambiance is laid back quiet . I recommend the lemongrass! read more

We are food dead. Ordered: Red Dragon and Big Bopper rolls, Pad Kee Mao, Chicken fried rice. Warning: the portions are HUGE. Our rolls were at least 10-12 pieces and huge. Then our dishes came and I almost passed out. Plates were huge and heaping. Did I not mention everything was delicious??? Because it was. Like, amazing delicious. So food drunk. read more
Great location and dining area for small and large groups alike. Definitely get the Thai tea and try out the sushi menu - they have some unique rolls. Bit pricier than I remember it being from previous visits but that's sushi for you. read more

Service was awesome! Very friendly and accommodating. I ordered the potstickers and it came out practically five minutes after we placed our orders. The shrimp pad Thai was too oily for my liking. Bathrooms were clean. Restaurant was not packed on a 2PM Saturday afternoon. Overall, four stars for me. read more

If you're craving sushi, look no further than. The Lemon Grass is without a doubt the best sushi spot in downtown St. Pete. We started off with some Thai Iced Tea (our favorite drink) and pork gyoza, followed by the volcano roll and golden dragon roll. The flavors are outstanding and leaves you wanting more no matter how full you are. Location is great, right on central avenue downtown. Make sure to check them out if you'rein the area! read more

Takeout only review: The food is DELICIOUS and the menu has options for any type of eater. You can indulge or you can go lighter. Portions are great, you get plenty of food. They are quick and whatever time they give you that the food will be ready, they are spot on! They have a separate space for takeout which makes it a much more pleasant and quiet experience. Bags are very sturdy, food does not tip over or spill at all, we walked home with it and it was so easy and comfortable. We will continue to keep ordering from here!! PS- the banana Rama dessert is a MUST. read more

This is my absolute favorite restaurant! We go here at least once every two weeks. The service is always incredible. Very friendly! Their sushi is always phenomenal and fresh. Our go-to roll every time we order sushi is the Wheezer. Usually we will get a variety of rolls to share. Pictured below is the Big Daddy, Wallflower, Wheezer, and Red Hot Chili Peppers rolls. I enjoy the laid back atmosphere as well. read more

La atención fue espectacular; hacía frío y nos pusieron calefacción para sentarnos afuera cómodamente. Pedí el Paul Roll (creo que se llamaba así) y fue uno de los mejores que he probado, además de súper económico. Definitivamente un lugar muy recomendable, ¡sin duda volveríamos! read more
