Wow - what a gem of a shop! Great work, better people. This is the second car they have worked on for me. First was our GLK250 seat replacement and now my 2019 991.2 Turbo S. Specifically, the leather arm rest on the driver side in espresso was damaged/scratched. Repaired in one day and it looks flawless. Brian

Great craftsmanship and commitment to excellence!!

The dealer wanted $5400 to replace my Porsche headliner ; most upholstery shops in the area didn't want to touch the project; no problem, for John and staff, they gave me reasonable quote and took about 4 days to complete the job!

Have been looking into getting the bench seat in my 1966 Ford F100 redone. I have been for about a year of owning this truck using duct tape to keep the bench seat cover together with my daily driving it. Cold was making the old material brittle and hard. While hot temps were making the seat begin to flake apart. So started to get some quotes and even looked into getting the seat material and do it myself. Well one day driving down the road I pass The Mad Stitchers Upholstery Shop and figured to get a quote from them. Super friendly folks and the quote I got was fair with them taking the bench seat out and reinstalling for me in two days. While other quotes I got may have been less but required me to remove and bring the bench seat on my own. Which is not that easy for me to do as I would have to remove the bench, find some way to bring the bench someplace, and then do it all over again after the bench seat is done. Also to note I did get some quotes that were the same quote as Mad Stitches but I would still have to bring them the bench seat so naturally the Mad Stitches quote made more sense than those places who wanted to charge the same amount with me having to do that extra work/hassle. After two days the bench seat is done and it looks great! Extremely comfortable and the material is soft to the touch. So much better than what I hoped for and very pleased with the communication, work, and care Mad Stitchers did for me. Great shop and great folks!

I had an "old" wonderful chair and now I have a "new" wonderful chair, restored by The Mad Stitchers. The work was done with the speed of light. We are very pleased with the result, see pictures.

John is a master craftsman! Just check out these seats. I cannot offer a high enough recommendation of Mad Stitcher!

Did not answer emails or phone call inquires about repeated delays. NO warning about $5,250 charge on top of $5,000 charge for other interior work (which was already in excess of $2,200 estimate!) The new convertible top and custom console are nice. But the unplanned, unapproved $5,250 charge for ratty, sloppy, amateur carpet install is beyond unacceptable. See images attached and decide if this work is worth more than $5k and the waste another $1,600 I spent on custom interior and trunk carpet sets.

Rather than send it off to Gary (which is what I should've done in the first place) for installment, a trusted neighbor and certified mechanic insisted on completing the job and saving me tons of money and headache.... Sounds wonderful until you learn the hard way that just because someone is great under the hood, it doesn't necessarily equate the same skill level elsewhere. Just when we thought we were making progress, we took one step forward and a giant leap backward. That old adage of measuring twice and cutting once did not hold up well here. I was in a pretty big dilemma. I kept thinking back about a prior vehicle that Gary completed for me with flawless work. Why the heck didn't I just take it there to begin with? Well... Bent metal components, hacked leather and stripped special order bolts.... I was at my wit's end and thoroughly frustrated with the mechanic and situation. I called on the one person I knew I could trust, Gary Smith of Complete Interior Restoration. "This is what happens when you have someone do something that they are not qualified for." It was a stern message that reverberated like a father's scorn. I was nervous and had to skip town for an emergency trip within the next 3 days. I shamefully brought the components in all sorts of pieces. All I could do was retrace steps and try to explain to Gary what said mechanic did. I literally left the place a set of about 17 sets of different screws/bolts and interior pieces. I was almost certain this would be a lengthy project and I'd be picking up the finished product in about 4 weeks or so. I got a call less than 3 days later as I was packing the last item for my trip. "Mr. Wellington... We have your items ready for pickup." There is a level of professionalism and business acumen that exists within Complete Interior Restoration that I have not experienced before. These guys know what they are doing. They made hacked leather completely unnoticeable and seamless. They removed stripped bolts on special order bolts that were impossible to access with everyday tools. Best of all, they didn't drain my account in the process. I felt for the issue at hand and the intricacy level of the work, the price was very fair. The icing on the cake, they did not let me leave until the job was completed to my satisfaction. I drove away with a 3 week headache solved in less than 3 days. You can probably find half the quality of work these guys can do for twice the price in Atlanta. Don't waste your time shopping around because you'll only experience "what happens when you have someone do something that they are not qualified for."

The price for reupholstering my car's roof was very reasonable--it came to just under $400 in total, and the job was completed in about a day. I'm really happy with the quality of the work itself. Oscar's lovely wife helped pick out leather to match the factory original. Oscar and his staff supplied the workmanship. Oscar restores classic cars as a hobby so he brings an attention to detail one likely won't find elsewhere. They stripped the seats and carpet and dried out the interior with heat lamps for a few days before installing the new stuff. The new seats perfectly match the original down to the stitching. The craftsmanship is amazing. Carpet installation was perfect. The interior is like new. The mildew smell is gone. They delivered exactly what they promised. Can't recommend this shop enough. I brought an old Fairfield leather office chair that I paid $25 at a second hand store. I knew the brand very well, so I knew its worth (try $1,500-$3,500 easily). I saw past the ripped seat, and I thought that it would be less expensive to have the seat re-leathered than to purchase a new chair in the same brand which is true in theory; however, the price of the leather panels were far beyond what I wanted to pay for a chair that I only wanted to place into my work office space, so I didn't want to invest a lot of money. Alex helped me search through fabric swatches and I found what I thought was unique and went with my theme of traditional elegance with a touch of interesting movements in that space. Viola! Mag's had what I was looking for, and Alex gave me price that was fair. He told me I could pay when I returned and I left with his word that he would call me in a couple of weeks. True to his word, Alex called me and I dropped in to pick up my baby. I was so pleasantly surprised and pleased when I saw the beautiful new seat cushion. Alex is simply a wonderful artist with a eye for perfection because he added a little more padding to provide the right depth the seat needed to the final sewing. I almost did not recognize the cushion if it weren't for the fabric. Alex and his genius hands made this seat cushion sparkle. I highly recommend Mag's for your refurbishing desires of any seat you need. Alex is a master at his craft and clearly he takes pride in his work. I am already thinking about something else I may want to do in the future. Thank you Alex and Mag's Upholstery!

I was also pleasantly surprised that they brought me the left over fabric, from my re-upholstery job. It is not too much, but it is enough for me to take right back to them, and order a few small accent pillows to match the daybed. (Which I plan to do soon.) They could have discarded the fabric or made pillows to sell in their shop, and I would never have known the difference. The honesty meant a lot to me. And speaking of fabric ... they have zillions of beautiful choices, in all price ranges. They were very patient with me and I am a person who does thorough research and takes her time, before I finally make a decision. I will admit a lot of places would have likely become annoyed or frustrated with me, for taking so much time and visiting the showroom to look through samples, over and over and over again, requesting pricing. But they were very kind and pleasant and willing to check pricing for me on many fabrics, many times. I also felt they charged a very fair price, especially considering the craftsmanship and turn around time and their willingness to do the pick up and drop off. The turn around time was so much faster than I expected. It was the holidays and I had to request they hold the daybed a few extra weeks for me, due to my extra traveling and holiday activities. True to form, they were very accommodating and understanding. If you find this review, consider yourself DONE looking for a quality re-upholstery business. 5 Star Custom Upholstery has earned a customer for life, in me.
