Nice location in an old stone building next to Otter Creek. Portions were generous, however, BIG disappointment. For $85 lunch, I would expect better...and that is what 2 tacos each and 2 margaritas cost. The margaritas never saw a tequila bottle, I think they had to be a mock-tail. The meat was extremely greasy, which you could see on their glass door, which was disgusting btw. The pineapple salsa didn't taste like pineapple...had no taste and they would have done better by opening up a can of Dole's canned pineapple. I did not try the additional hot sauces because my husband did and told me they were nasty!!! Also....attention......if you have a disability don't count on using the bathroom.....no grab bars and the lock on the restroom doesn't hold. I've been to Mad taco multiple times as I live locally, and every single time I call the person on the other end of the phone is hilarious and efficient. The Mad Taco never misses. I love everything on their menu, and it's some of the best food you can get in Middlebury which - in my opinion - is lacking consistently delicious dinner options. After competition at the senior games, we read the reviews and decided to give the Mad Taco a try. The portions were very generous, but we didn't know that most dishes have a "Kick" to them in hot sauce. If you don't mind that, then the food is tasty. I had 2 shrimp tacos and the smoked chicken wings (I started eating chicken again) the tacos were large but came with no sides and at $16 didn't fill me up (hence the wings) the tacos were tasty though.
