    My wedge salad

I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant for years and absolutely love Destiny and Jo I have brought my staff here many times because I genuinely enjoyed supporting this business. Unfortunately, my recent experience was extremely disappointing. I ordered a wedge salad and was served what appeared to be less than half of what is typically considered a wedge. When I politely brought it to the owner's attention, I expected a conversation focused on customer satisfaction. Instead, I was met with an argument. The owner repeatedly talked over me and insisted that the portion size depended on how large or small the lettuce happened to grow once I showed him my friend half of a wedge compared to mines. As a business owner myself, I understand that food costs and product variations exist. However, customer service should never involve arguing with a loyal guest over what was clearly a very small portion. What upset me most was not the salad itself--it was the way my concern was dismissed. I have always believed that great businesses value long-term relationships and listen to their customers. After years of supporting this restaurant and recommending it to others, I left feeling disrespected, unheard, and unappreciated. It was a disappointing experience that has caused me to reconsider returning. This review isn't about a piece of lettuce; it's about how a loyal customer was treated when they expressed a reasonable concern. Please take the time to click on all the 1 star reviews they have. you will see the name Steven which is the actual owner others reviews will tell you just how poor the customer service is

We came here twice in 6 months. We're from Decatur, GA but decided to stop by again since our first experience was so memorable and food was so good This time Chris was our server, he was attentive and friendly. This time we ordered the supreme pizza and I had the salmon. All dishes had the right amount of seasoning. Cooked to perfection.

Manship Woodfire Kitchen is a seemingly popular restaurant located in the Baptist hospital. However, once you arrive at the restaurant you realize that the restaurant has really nothing to do with the hospital, and simply just occupies a unit inside the hospital. The restaurant ambiance is what one would expect from this type of restaurant (think upscale family restaurant), and there is also an outside seating area with firepits. As it was Sunday at 12:15, the restaurant was very busy and we were lucky to be able to get a last minute reservation. Service was attentive and friendly, and drinks are reasonably priced (mimosa is only $5). We shared a spinach seafood dip appetizers, which wasn't bad, but I would I would have preferred a different delivery mechanism other than the friend wonton crisps that accompany it (perhaps corn chips or bread). Our mains, however, took over 45 minutes to arrive - only had the special bbq wings, and my partner had their burger. My partner said the burger was decent, but not out of this world and gave it a 3.5. My wings were fine, although I couldn't fathom why it took so long as it almost tasted as though the sauce had just been reheated. At one point we inquired about when the mains would arrive, and the waitress politely responded "oh we are busy." Fair, but they should have warned us beforehand. Anyway, worth a try, but I feel that the overall score on google is too high (but not being from Jackson, I am probably picky).

Jackson and me go together, real bad. I love their oysters and crab claws! The service is very accommodating. I try and go every time I'm in town

Yessss!...The food was delicious, and the restaurant was busy. The ambiance was modern and artistic. I enjoyed an iceberg salad, paired with a blackened chicken sandwich, fries, and a riddle me this drink. The delicious fries tasted like truffle fries, and the riddle me this drink was stellar. The chicken sandwich was dry and small, but it hit the spot. This restaurant is connected to Baptist Hospital, so be prepared to see staff dining, including surgical staff.

If you're looking for a brunch spot that nails both amazing food and great ambiance... The Manship is the place to go. We sat at the bar and were immediately welcomed with warm, attentive service--the kind that makes you feel like a regular even though it was our first time there.

If you're on the fence, consider this your push. The Southern hospitality coupled with the depth of flavor from the food and drinks is every reason you need to head on over to The Manship WFK! Summer, the waitress/bartender was so attentive but more importantly very skilled at making an exceptional old fashion. Every sip was a reminder of southern comfort. Warm like grandma and stern like grandpa. (The block ice is optional so request as needed). The oysters were the star of the show. My first bite tasted like a pleasant memory of New Orleans. Consider this a buttery Bayou banger. Don't be shy, squeeze that lemon and dip that bread and leave nothing behind. The south west chicken salad is not to be slept on! I had a pretty big lunch so I wanted something light, but still packed a flavor punch. Boy was I knocked off my feet! The heirloom tomatoes, fresh avocado and homemade chipotle ranch took me from Louisiana to Mexico quicker than any plane could. I could not wait to share what was shared with me! I took my walk back down the street feeling gleeful and ready to brag. I received this recommendation from a local Mississippian and I couldn't be more happy with my decision. In fact, initially I felt bad about hitching a ride with my colleagues and later ditching them (they went to another spot up the street) until I was given every reason to be proud of stepping foot in The Manship.

We LOVE Manship! This day lunch was amazing. The crowd was small because we went before noon. Our server was very polite and attentive. We plan on coming again. We've never had a bad meal from Manship.

We were visiting Mississippi for football games so we decided to check this place out it. It did not disappoint. Great service and atmosphere. Food was delicious. We will be back. The pasta and salmon was so yummy.

Food is creative but taste is average. Service is hit or miss depending on how busy they are, which detracts from over all experience.

We were seated quickly, as it was not super busy on a Saturday afternoon. Our server came quickly and took our drink orders and filled them quickly. She even handled our change of mind without a pause. Nice! Appetizer of Fried ravioli with Parmesan cheese sprinkled was nice and crunchy. Served with marinara sauce. Mom got the Chicken Parmigiana, layered over fettuccini. The portion was huge and quite crunchy, without being overcooked. The chicken was still tender and not dry but the flavor was just meh. It also was lacking in marinara sauce for the noodles. The star of the show was the 4 Train Remix pizza! It comes with Grade mozerella, grilled chicken, smoked gouda, pickled onions, roasted corn, chipotle bbq sauce and cilantro. I opted to add brisket to the 14" pie. Have mercy! The flavor!! The toppings worked so well together and the brisket just added another level of complexity. I would have preferred a slightly thicker crust since the oils tend to sog our the crust. It was a little messy to hold but that just added to the fun. We also tried the Nada Colada mocktail with Torani coconut, pineapple juice and ginger ale and it was really good.

He insisted that he move our tables to be one big table. I told him it was okay because I didnt want to bother him, but he insisted, saying he wanted me and my little nephew to be comfortable. He handed us the menus, and we decided to order three different pizzas and the Pretzel Bites for the appetizer. The first pizza was the Three Little Pigs, a delicious combination of Italian sausage, pepperoni, applewood bacon, fresh basil, marinara, and mozzarella. This one was by far my favorite. The bacon and sausage had a spicy flavor, and the mozzarella was thick and gooey. One bite and the cheese would stretch for days. The other two, the Pepperoni and Chicken Alfredo, were right up there, too. I like that the Chicken Alfredo tasted more like a pizza than not. It had all the combinations of a Chicken Alfredo pasta dish, but with the spices and marinara sauces, it was a sweet combination of both, but it was more of a pizza flavor, which I just loved. I can't leave off the Pretzel Bites; I liked that the cheese and mustard were mixed, bringing on a very favorable dip. Now I must tell you this: the pizzas are supposed to be a personal pan--ten inches with six slices. The hostess warned me these pizzas aren't your regular-sized personal pan. He was right. The pizzas are huge, the slices even bigger. It's a deep-dish pizza with layers of meat, cheese, sauces, and veggies. So you can order three like I did, or just order one and keep coming back, trying different pizzas, which is a great idea considering the place is so inviting. One more thing: You can eat inside or outside on the patio or the lawn with the large TV screen. It's a very relaxed place, and they have a band on certain nights. I can tell you for sure that the hostess, the food, and the ambiance make this place what it is, very inviting.
