    Tableside guacamole

Cantina Frida has a wide variety of succulent tacos. Their tableside guacamole is also superb. We dropped in and tried a variety of tacos: steak, lobster, shrimp, and chicken. No complaints! The restaurant was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday evening. Don't really know what to make of that. Overall, despite the quiet, I enjoyed the evening. Three cheers for the ultra-generous and ultra-chunky tableside guacamole! That was my favorite part of the meal.

My Beverly Hills friend chose Cantina Frida as the place to meet up again after a long time . She couldn't have picked a better spot. I had not visited before. We both loved everything about it. Our lunch started with the nachos with pico de gallo (generously served). We both chose for our main dish the pork pastor quesadillas. They were fabulous -- hearty but not heavy, filled with tender pork and tasty, substantial cheeses. The serving of three in the order was more than enough for us. But we couldn't pass up splitting the pastel de tres leches for dessert -- luscious! All of this was made even nicer by our wonderful servers, who were patient beyond belief in waiting for us to order, to finish, to decide on dessert. They both said "no worries, you haven't seen each other in six years, take your time." I don't know their names -- this was about noon- 2 p.m. on November 5. The space is beautifully appointed, and has a kind of post-modern look. and will be just right for any kind of visit, lunch or dinner. Next time I want to try the bar!

I've been to Frida Cantina several times in the last week. The first time was just for drinks and to watch the Dodgers game on the large screen TVs. The drink menu has a lot of interesting options and the bartender is skilled at making craft cocktails to order. They also have a happy hour until 6pm on weekdays, with quite a few food and drink options. We loved the shrimp ceviche and the chicken enchiladas which are significantly discounted. Also, the guacamole is fresh and delicious. It's a very comfortable yet upscale restaurant / bar to go to with a group or for solo dining.

Surprised that I never have came to Cantina Frida in Beverly Hills before. When we came, it was packed and luckily we were able to get a table. Though I came her for a meeting, it was too loud to have a conversation. The ambiance was inviting, decor was elegant and service was impeccable. Guacamole- was made on the spot with the freshest ingredients. Avocado was creamy, and just the right amount of lime and spices. Ceviche Cantina- the shrimp was cooked, it was a beautiful presentation and vibrant. The flavors were also incredible. Carne Asada- the beef was well seasoned, and perfectly wrapped I fresh tortilla. Gobernador Taco- The melted cheese was a standout on top of the fresh shrimp. It had a delicate smokey flavor that was very tasteful. I highly recommend Cantina Frida if you are looking for a fine dining Mexican food experience.

Valeria and Jonathan were absolutely the best! They waited on us and were so kind and attentive. The place itself was packed. I'd recommend to call before going as their was a private event and it took some time to get seated. Due to holidays, I anticipate it will only get busier with private parties. The music was a vibe. They were playing Rufus Du Sol and Fisher. After my Maracuya cocktail, nachos, and table side guacamole, I swear I was a kid at Disneyland. Easy parking next door with free city parking. Also Beverly Canon Garden is so beautifully decorated for the holidays that stopping by for dinner and drinks here and walking thru the courtyard was an absolute vibe.

Nice spot to hang out with friend. Staff members were amazing. I was there on a Wednesday night so it wasn't that busy. Next time I'm coming on a weekend.

Upscale Mexican food spot in Beverly Hills. There's a public parking lot next door. Very open space and cute with a bar and TVs which had sports playing which was good. Great service and tasty food. Queso Fundido with chorizo - yum Aquachile - nice kick! Molcajete - delish Dessert was this chocolate layer parfait kinda thing which was sooo good! The only thing that was semi annoying was the constant camera flashing from their in-house camera lady taking photos all night at tables. Travel_lifestyle_chow

came here for a company happy hour and the food was great! my favorite items were the shrimp taco and the chicken nachos. highly recommend! I wish the queso fundido had a burner or something to keep it warm the service was quick and even though we had a large party, our server was on top of it. loved the half outdoor vibe that we reserved, it was perfect! the only thing I didn't love were the prices - I think a lot of the dishes were way too pricey for the amount of food. however, they were delicious!

Super upscale dining experience at the heart of Beverly Hills. Very welcoming staff and environment. I had the Enchiladas Trio and my wife hd the Healthy Bowl and we were very pleased with our meal. The nacho platter was also very delicious. We also both had a margarita which was perfectly made and one of the best Ive ever had. Highly recommend this place if looking for an exquisite Mexican food dining experience.

This place is amazing! The staff is always nice and welcoming. The vibe and food here is amazing. Been back here like 4 times and it's over a 1 hr 45 mins drive for us from our home. So worth it :)

Sad to say, this place has gone downhill. Unsure if it's a change of management or a change in the kitchen. We ordered the Burrito California Wet and the mix fajitas with beef and chicken. The steak in the Burrito was burnt to a crisp and very limited. The red sauce had no flavor. Would highly recommend against ordering this item. The chicken on the fajitas was extremely overcooked and dry. Steak part of the fajitas had no flavor and was definitely not Prime. Margaritas were still on point and the staff is always friendly and makes us feel valued when saying "welcome back". I work in hospitality and know that restaurants are getting squeezed these days, making profit hard to come by. Also don't mind paying a bit more to help support local business. With that said, struggle with the quality vs. price that we paid for today's experience.

The ambiance is great at this upscale Mexican restaurant in the heart of Beverly Hills. We walked in on a Sunday evening without a reservation and were promptly seated. They provided water and took our orders in a timely manner. The queso fundido was excellent -- fresh baked and bubbly with good seasoning and great tortillas to accompany it. I liked my enchiladas fine - they weren't the best I've had but solid. The churros were stuffed with cream and had a good caramel dipping sauce. Service was pretty decent but they did prematurely offer a dessert menu while we were still eating and took a second to refill our water pitcher. Having Sunday football on the many TV screens was a fun touch, but didn't take away from the nice atmosphere.

Are there new owners? If so is the food the same quality under the new owners?

I'm not sure who owns the restaurant or runs it. But the food is delicious and the service is amazing and the prices seemed very reasonable to me.

Does this place have bottomless mimosas and until what time?

I saw your question and happen to know for a fact that there are no bottomless mimosas.

Do you have to be 21 to eat here or at least 21 to get in? I want to eat here but it says cantina so I'm not sure...

It's a restaurant so no you do not have to be over 21 to eat here. There are plenty of families with children here!

A small restaurant located inside this plaza in Beverly Hills that you would never know about unless someone told you. Every time I've been, the waiters, service and management have been so nice and come check on you constantly. There are several sections in the restaurant (I think 3 but I could be wrong), but we've dined in the main room which has a retractable ceiling for when it's too sunny out, they have a bar area that has a small little lounge section in the back of it, and it looks like there may be another section that I haven't been to. The place definitely gives off those Latin vibes and you feel it once you arrive. As for the food, my boss ordered appetizers for the table, which were shrimp tacos, flautas, and empanadas which were all very good! My favorite were the flautas with guac. For my main dish I went with the Chilean sea bass with a side of broccolini and rice. That sea bass was phenomenal! It had a nice sweet glaze on it with a very slit crisp texture on the top. One of the best! The Hideaway goes down as one of my favorite spots in Beverly Hills and I highly recommend checking it out. OOOOO 5 out of 5 Afros

I emailed the bar to make a reservation since the online system was down, and they emailed back immediately to confirm -- and even said they would surprise my mom with an extra birthday cake! Now all I had to do was wait 3 weeks until her visit so the experience could finally happen. The day arrived and I got my mom to Maybourne Bar with her none the wiser. From the moment we stepped through the door, the experience was a 1 million out of 10. Every course is unbelievable. This is a caviar tasting in the best way -- all nine courses are topped with generous helpings of delicious N25 caviar. You get sweet, salty, savory, comfort food, upscale dining, everything comes together in the absolute best way. I especially loved the deconstructed deviled egg and the lobster roll, and the ice cream was some of the best I've ever had. The chips and dip came with the cutest miniature potato chips (although I'll admit I could have used a few more), and the caviar salmon burger was super flavorful. And, true to their word, they surprised my mom with a birthday cake -- and then surprised us both with complimentary lychee cocktails! The service was impeccable as well. Each person on the waitstaff was kind, helpful, and accommodating. We loved how descriptive they were of each dish. It was also really nice of them to decide to give us an extra 2-top so we would have room for all of the courses. This is not only an incredible tasting menu, but made even more incredible by the price. 10 courses and a glass of champagne are $85. I was honestly shocked at how much we received for under $100. I cannot recommend this experience highly enough. This is a true gem in Beverly Hills. I'm already planning my next visit!

On multiple occasions, Elton has given me poor service and a noticeable attitude. I chose to overlook it at first, but eventually I brought it to management's attention because the treatment was consistent and unacceptable. After that complaint, the situation escalated. When I returned, Elton refused to serve me altogether. He would not look at me, acknowledge me, or take my order. I was left sitting there while being completely ignored. It became so obvious that other guests sitting next to me noticed and were concerned enough to step in and ask him why I wasn't being helped and to tell him to serve me. That should never have to happen. I then asked for the manager I had previously spoken to, Leo, because I wanted to understand what was going on. I still have not received any clear explanation. What's most concerning is that this behavior feels intentional. No employee in hospitality gets to decide who they will or will not serve based on personal feelings. If a staff member's feelings are "hurt" after a complaint, that does not justify refusing service to a guest. That is not professionalism--that is the opposite of hospitality. It was honestly disturbing enough that the people next to me told me directly that it didn't feel right and that I shouldn't come back because it seemed like I wasn't wanted there. That is not okay, especially at an establishment of this caliber. I am actively trying to get in touch with someone at the hotel who can properly address this situation, because this needs to be taken seriously. No guest should ever feel ignored, singled out, or unwelcome in this way.

I really gotta respect their dedication to red meat and the holy art of cooking a damn good steak. This place is essentially what I'm looking for in a restaurant. Basically hits on all cylinders and checks off all the critical boxes. I don't want to sound all dramatic and such, but I'm dying to go back and try all the other items I didn't have, as well as check out the bar experience. I spoke to some locals outside before they opened, and they weren't just lovely -- they also painted a pretty picture of what the overall vibe is here. It's clear a lot of people in the Beverly Hills and Hollywood Hills area love coming here very frequently. Our server, who I assumed is named Nolan because that's what's shown on the receipt, was very accommodating, kind, and easy to talk to. I think he did a fantastic job dealing with my difficult, picky gf. Haha. I can't say anything was less than stellar. The croquettes in that celery purée stuff were phenomenal. Garlic bread was seasoned and baked to perfection. The bone broth sipper was nourishing af. French fries were perhaps the best I've had in years. Broccolini was fresh, high quality, and complimented the steak very well. I'm bummed we only got to try just the ribeye when it came to the cuts, but my gf did not want to order anything under medium or medium rare that night, so that was a bummer. It's her loss! The panna cotta was the creamiest sweet treat in all of LaLa Land. This is a great place, and it's a top-tier steakhouse. SoCal sometimes lacks places of this caliber that NY, Chicago, and SF / Napa have, but this place is a very close contender to some of the top cream-of-the-crop, steak-centered restaurants in the country.
