We checked out this brunch spot and overall it was a pretty solid experience. The service was good, the vibes were nice, and the space felt really cozy. The décor was cute and welcoming -- definitely the kind of place you can relax and catch up with friends. The bottomless brunch was a highlight. Our server never disappointed and kept the mimosa towers coming as soon as we were running low, which we definitely appreciated. No empty glasses over here. For food, it was okay. I ordered the burger -- it tasted very similar to a smash burger, and the caramelized onions were a nice touch. Unfortunately, our food came out cold, which made it hard to fully enjoy it the way it should've been. Overall, it's a decent spot to hang out with friends and enjoy drinks. read more

Ventured into this place as the neighboring bar was at full capacity. What a delightful discovery it turned out to be. A friendly lady welcomed us at the entrance and escorted us to our designated table. The cocktails on offer were enjoyable, although one of the winter drinks seemed to overwhelm the taste buds with an excessive amount of cinnamon. She wanted me to pay for bottomless brunch or if I don't - then non of my friends would or could keep having bottomless drinks. So it's either push my to pay for it or I punish my own friends First of all no one at the bars can't push customers to spend any money on drinks of the don't drink or don't want to drink. In my case I don't drink. Like at all. And so she wanted to put me in a position where I had to spend money on something I didn't want to spend money on even when I don't even drink. It was fine. On one hand, it's nice to find a sports bar that can also do some fancier drinks. It was a small place and just loud. When we went the music felt too loud and the sun hadn't even set. Granted, everyone else seemed to have fun - so maybe iam just not the demographic for this place. The server was very nice, tho. The website also doesn't quite match the menu onsite. read more

Our server Bella was incredible. Everyone in the entire restaurant was happy and she was the only server. It's very noticeable how great she is at her job. Knowing the menu and being really attentive and super nice to everyone! Props to the kitchen for getting the food out hot. It was all great! I was trying to get a late reservation into another restaurant nearby and they told me it was an hour wait. So I decided to see what was in the area. Around the corner was The Mayfly and it was relatively empty only with one party in there. My partner and I were seated immediately and was able to order as soon as we knew what we wanted. We tried their drinks as well as their food and it was very delicious. Although this wasn't our intended spot we were really able to enjoy our food and each other. Our waitress was attentive to us and very kind. I would definitely go back and would love to try their happy out and other dishes on the menu. read more

This review is solely for their Happy Hour. Finding a good happy hour deal in the city doesn't seem like a daunting task but sometimes it can be! Came here for an after work happy hour with some friends and their menu had me once I saw espresso martini. The inside is cozy and a little small and there are bar tables alll along the middle of the restaurant. Their drink specials included a few speciality cocktails for $10 and then well drinks and beers (the basics). Outside of that they also offered happy hour food specials that came with a HH cocktail for $16. (Such a steal bc it's not just the bar snacks, it's like a full meal). The food was nothing spectacular, in fact I wasn't a fan of the dry rubbed wings I got but because I was hungry I ate It anyway. We got wings, flatbread and tacos. Our waitress was super nice and attentive -- loved her! Overall, i'd def return and have already added this spot to my running list of HH spots to visit. read more

There are tons of great spots downtown, but I have never had such a fun brunch! The food is amazing, the drinks are crafty and delicious, and strong, I must go! I ordered the grilled cheese and the French toast, the grilled cheese was melted perfectly with bacon and tomato and a side of truffle fries, Yum! The French toast was seriously out of this world, light soft fluffy and delicious came with a side of preserves, whip cream and syrup so I tried all three! $10 espresso martinis?! Sign me up! My friend and I were walking around the village yesterday and saw their sign for $10 espresso martinis outside. It was a no brainer for us! We had to try one! The inside is small, but a cute vibe. We ordered at the bar, but were able to sit at a high top. The bartender walked around and delivered the martinis to us, which was totally not necessary but really highlighted their great service. The espresso martinis were strong and delicious. They were not milky at all, which is just how I like them! I would definitely come back for them and try some food next time :) read more

The food was great. I tried their kale Caesar salad and asked for chicken to be added. The bowl was small so I thought I'd be hungry but it was the perfect size for lunch. Brunch here was so much fun! I went with 3 other friends, and it was a great place for a group brunch. They have bottomless mimosas but we also tried out some of their cocktails, which were really well made! The spicy tequila drink was my favorite. Cocktails are a little pricey (~13-15) but worth it, especially recommend the Appley Ever After - so so so yummy, whiskey based, light and sweet (never thought I'd use these words in the same sentence). Menu was extensive and the vibe / music was perfect. Our table had a wooden LAZY SUSAN how much classier can you get... Our server was really prompt with our waters (also cool tats!) and proactively followed up with our drinks. The place was also fairly Covid conscious for a bar, the menu was on an applet, and you could check out online. This corner has been vacant for the LONGEST time, and I'm so happy to see that it's finally occupied! My partner had just finished a race and ran by in the morning. He suggested we try the restaurant out since we love checking out new places and were already starved, so we went! We were immediately greeted by Sarah and she's just the sweetest! She helped us out with water and menus quickly and were helpful with food suggestions. We ended up with the fried chicken sandwich (comes with fries), sour cream and onion dip with crostini, kale salad, Turbulence cocktail, and an Applely Ever After cocktail. ALL were EXTREMELY delicious. The apple cocktail was the perfect boozy autumn drink and the Turbulence def had a kick to it. The dip was reminiscent of French onion soup, which is a delicious thing. The fried chicken sandwich was probably one of the sauciest and flavorsome sandwich I've ever had. And the kale salad was soft enough, had more than enough parmesan, and it was perfect with a fried egg on top. Highly recommend checking this corner restaurant out. You won't regret it! read more

Wandered into the Mayfly on Sunday without a res and was pleasantly surprised with our experience! We shared a cheeseburger and the kale caeser salad. Both were absolutely delicious! I would note that the salad is relatively small / no protein so I wouldn't recommend it if you're super hungry, but splitting that and the burger was great. We also did the bottomless brunch and tried out the bloody mary and the wild rose cocktail. The wild rose was super tasty! Service and music were great as well. Prices were reasonable. I've definitely passed this location a few times but never intentionally walked in until my bf and I saw it on the Seated app. After cross referencing with Yelp, we decided to give it a try. We were absolutely SHOCKED at the amazing happy hour deals. They have a pretty large selection of HH food + specialty drinks for $16.... that's insane! We both started off with an espresso martini but he got the burger/truffle fries and I got the veggie flatbread. I do wish that they could possibly offer an impossible/beyond burger on the Happy Hour menu (even if there's a $3 surcharge for being veggie). The drink / food combo is probably one of the best deals I've seen in LES. I totally recommend this spot if you want a few drinks/bites before bar hopping around the area. Great happy hour deal. Tacos/ burger and a drink for $16. They have it going on even during the weekend which is awesome since most places don't do that. I got chicken tacos and they were absolutely delicious. My friend got the pork ones which were also tasty but dry. My one complaint is that they keep the lights very dim, which is not ideal making it hard to see your companion. Service however was great. Worth to come just for the happy hour. read more

So this place just opened up around the corner from me and it's now going on my go-to bottomless brunch list. It's definitely one of the more reasonable places to go and while the portions aren't crazy big, everyone was happy with it. We got bottomless Bellinis and mimosas ($25 each) and they let you switch between mimosas, Bellinis, and Bloddy Mary's which I love cause sometimes I just want one Bloody Mary in the mix of bellinis. For brunch we shared the sour cream and onion dip ($12) to start. Perfect start for when you're starving and hungover and need something comforting. My sister and I then split the burger with an egg ($16+$3) and the macaroni and cheese ($12). The burger was really good, but it was definitely pretty small. With the fries, it's still filling, but if you're a big eater then you may want to order a starter or something as well. The macaroni and cheese was good as well. I'm not gonna claim it's the best macaroni and cheese I've ever had, but it was solid. All of the employees were super nice and helpful. Our party all arrived at separate times, and they were super nice and understanding about it. I wish every restaurant was as nice as them honestly. From the ambiance to the quality of food and drinks, the Mayfly is a great bar in the Lower East Side! I hosted my birthday party here and everyone at the event had a great time. They have one of the best deals in the city to make a party reservation. The owner and servers were kind and attentive. They played my music and took care of the cake for me, and even cut up the slices after singing happy birthday. The bartender even gave me a free shot when he realized I was the birthday girl!
