Last week we were checking Yelp for pizza ideas and found Megabyte, which is in the old Smokey's Pizza location in Orchards. Fond memories of Smokey's made us decide to give Megabyte a try. It was a good decision. We ordered a Taco pizza with the beef on the side (vegetarians and carnivores in the house) and jo-jos. The order was to-go, so we played a mean game of Ms. Pac-man while waiting. They offer a number of different video games, including ones you might have at home (PlayStation??) but I'm "old school" so can't say what consoles they actually are. The food was great. Crust was crisp (we did ask that they cook it a little bit longer) even under all the goodies on the pizza. And the jo-jos!! Melt-in-your-mouth perfection along with thick, creamy ranch for dipping. We loved it. Anyone missing Smokey's should check out Megabyte. It seemed to me that they are really one in the same, and that makes me very happy. read more

Was amazing and the best pizza in Vancouver when it was Smokey's, and it's still amazing and easily the best pizza in Vancouver as Megabites. I got my hubby hooked on it, and he's pretty picky about his pizza. Great atmosphere in the restaurant itself, fun to kick back and play old school arcade games as a family when the moods right. Also great to get fresh hot perfect pizza delivered to our door for family movie night. So pleased the recipe is the same. My hubby adores the taco pizza while im a strict pepperoni and olive kinda gal. Fairly thin crust. Crunchy. Always baked well done by default. Perfect :) read more

We were diehard Smokey's fans. I grew up on the hot oven combo, it was hands down my favorite pizza. We recently went to Megabite and it was better than Smokey's and less expensive! My wife is gluten free and they don't offer a gluten free crust which makes it challenging for my fam, but if he's away this is my first choice! read more

Please make a spot for those who have call in orders to just pick up, rather than standing in line behind six guests looking at the menu deciding. My pizza gets cold while I sit waiting for 20 minutes to check out. Also, please don't make changes to the pizza. They sure did a overhaul since changing from smokey's to the megabite the place is a lot cleaner inside and out from the last time I was here... I am happy they kept all of smokey's recipes... I just wish they would serve larger portions of their fish... The fries shouldn't seem larger then the fish... I would write a review on their pizza but I didn't come in for pizza on this visit... Maybe next time I will write a review on their pizza. read more

It was pretty good. They are very generous on the toppings. I wasn't too impressed with the crust. I'll give it another chance though the Next time we want to go for pizza. I can't say that I will ever get over the loss of Smokey's Pizza. A true Pac NW Icon that will leave a void in the hearts of anybody that has one. While back in town and driving by the old location I looked over to pay homage to a legendary pizza joint only to see that there was another pizza place and its spot. I had to look it up. The Smokey's name, menu, and decor were all mentioned so I had to look further. I saw pics on this website. I saw a pepperoni pizza that looked familiar... I saw a Hot oven Combo that took me back to my youth! Could it be true? No, not possible. Is Smokey's hiding in plain view with another name? The phone was right there so an order had to be placed immediately. I was greated by an extremely friendly person over the phone and both a Pepperoni and Hot Oven Combo were ordered. My mouth was already watering in anticipation. Getting these two pies home was the longest 10 minutes of my life. There I was, standing in front of a pizza box, ready to open it, expecting the Golden Glow like the briefcase in Pulp Fiction. I opened the box and although similar, I knew it wasn't the same. The pepperoni wasn't the same, the sauce wasn't the same, the crust may have been although I wasn't sure. Same goes for the Combo. Similar but not the same. I think we all agreed that it was a good pizza and maybe my memories have elevated Smokey's a bit but I doubt it. I'd go back for sure. Had a beer while waiting and it was Ice Cold. A good pizza, friendly service, and cold beer makes for a good place. Not Heaven and Not Smokey's but it will do. Give it a shot! read more

We just learned that this place delivers! Mmmmmm we were so happy!!! Their pizza is GREAT! They were speedy and completely reasonable in price. We have ordered the cheese bread sticks which were lackluster. I wish there was more flavor besides just cheese. Maybe some garlic and Italian herbs? So we tried the garlic bread this last time and it was a little too crispy. So, maybe their sides are just "meh" but we LOVE their pizza. read more

Went in for another try! They didn't appear to be too busy but probably have a lot of phone orders and deliveries. It took close to 40 minutes for us to get our small pizza. Thankfully our jojos we're ready quicker. I'm not sure still about how I feel about this place. I mentioned my last visit and the guy behind the counter said I should've come back up and they would've replaced our pizza because of the hair, I said I did and the girl shrugged her shoulders and didn't really know what to do. Megabite is by far my FAVORITE pizza place in Vancouver, we love the Highway 99 location too. We've never eaten at the establishments and they're a little quirky but the food speaks for itself. One time when we ordered a pizza to go, they accidentally burnt it but made us a new one, at no charge to us. Customer service is always awesome and everyone is super nice! I always get excited when we decide to be lazy and order a pizza to go! We will always be customers of Megabite! read more

The older woman with black, greasy hair needs to be fired immediately. Never have I ever seen such incompetence and utter unwillingness to use a brain cell for a simple thought. My little brother was denied service for a beverage only because his ID was of the vertical variety. Now I know some places do this very thing. Which, if I ever encounter another establishment that does this, I will never return there either. No law in Washington state says that an ID must be a horizontal ID to be served alcohol, only that the person to be served is over the age of 21. Now I know some people have a hard time with numbers and that looking at pictures and coloring books is a better method of learning for them, but in an establishment that handles money, I suggest learning to count first. I don't know if she was afraid of serving a 21 year old? I don't know if she just didn't know how to count? Or maybe she was having a bad day because her drug dealer was dry. Just think, even a little bit of thought ought to do you some good when deciding on whether or not, you yourself determine the state laws, or perhaps our government does. read more

Okay, so this place is waaaaaay. better than what smokers ever was. the restaurant is clean now. staff is really friendly. we ordered jo-jos and a medium pizza. the jo-jos are way to good and the pizza is super good. the crust is thin and crunchy....but not too crunchy it's perfect. they also have a good selection of gaming consoles to play along with some old school games like pac man and the Simpsons. they also have a nice selection craft beers and ciders. read more

I do not for the life of me understand all the good reviews. Maybe they are false. We visited in the summer of 2017. Staff was disinterested and the pizza was about the worst we've ever eaten; it pretty much tasted like cardboard. The table, chairs, and silverware all had food residue on them. The place was deserted-only one other person came in while we were there around 6:30 p.m. We will never go back. read more

Went to this place based on recommendation from a friend. Service not very good. Guy behind the counter was not very friendly or courteous. Was set back by the price of the Pizzas. Would have gone somewhere else, but had three kids and kdid not want to travel around looking for another Pizza place. Overall I would not go back as the Pizza was not as good as a 12.00 dollar Dominos. Would not recommend this place to others. read more

I am disappointed at this place I thought I was ordering fish and chips from the megabytes on fourth plane had no idea they had one in Hazel Dell they wanted me to go out there to get it I said I made a mistake and can I order it from here they said no you cannot order if you've already ordered from our other please I called to cancel it but that wasn't good enough they Told meI would have to pay for it before I could not order anymore I am so disappointed in their customer service people make mistakes they made a mistake on my pizza one time by putting red sauce on my pizza and I've never ordered it that way but I went ahead and ate it anyway I should've told them they needed to pay me for eating the mistake they did but I didn't I just called them and told them so they would know that they made a mistake but it was OK I just was going to eat it anyway this is called people make mistakes and I understand but obviously they think they're always in the right what they did to me is called poor customer service I will never go back there and I hope that people understand they have two location instead of the one on fourth plane only I work in customer service to and I'll tell you I would never treat any of my customers like they had me I will make sure I tell everyone I know what kind of service I got never will be back read more

The Megabite in Orchards is our favorite place for pizza. They literally cover the entire pie with toppings. Our favorites are the BBQ Bacon Chicken (a unique and delicious combination) and the Crazy Carnivore (more meat than any other pizza restaurant). This is a fun place with good food and service. read more

Ordered delivery after 5pm on a Friday. Was told about an hour. We ordered Fish and chips, a grinder sandwich and a pound of jo-jo's. Asked for extra tartar sauce and ranch. These guys NAILED it! Delivery was early, food was piping hot and all requsted items fulfilled...and the driver James was a real professional. Even on a super busy Friday night The Megabite shined. We are new to the 5 corners area and have ordered from other near by places with little success on delivery time and accuracy. Absolutely, TERRIBLE experience. I walked in, they had said 40 minutes for a large cheese only pie, ok for fall in togo, which I did, I show up and pay 29$ plus 5$ tip, and I hear the workers saying they never got the order, wait another 45 minutes only to hear them say, AGAIN, we've had no order, absolutely a waste of money and time. I had good conversation with one employee about beer and he let me try a few samples and then we got the BBQ chicken ranch pizza with mozzarella sticks and now I'm just ready to nap into pure bliss.
