Ok pasta, but great cider. Ordered the rigatoni and carbonara. Carbonara noodles were stiff. Egg was just added on top, was not as creamy of a dish as I had hoped it would be. My friend's rigatoni was just noted as okay. Not good, not great, not bad. At least the cider we ordered was satisfactory after a long drive.

Went to Grassa for a small celebratory dinner last night and we definitely chose well. Ordered the tempura asparagus as an appetizer and I recommend it. My guests had a Caesar salad, spring scampi, kids spaghetti and meatball and garlic bread. Everyone enjoyed their choices, although the toddler thought the meatball was a bit spicy for his tastebuds. I tried the sweet pea agnolotti and it was amazing!!! The description stated it was made with horseradish so I was expecting to be able to taste it, but was not, yet I adored this dish very much and highly recommend it. Generous cubes of pan-fried pancetta were included. Lovely location, beautiful restaurant, great food, reasonably priced offerings.

My group of friends came here on a late Friday night for dinner. We ordered our food and drinks and found a table to sit down. Our food came out rather fast. We ordered the spring salad, the pork Mac and cheese, the pesto spaghetti, the oglio noodles, the carbonara and some bread. Our food was very tasty and the drinks were decent as well.

we have high expectation after reading reviews from their different locations. turn out very disappointed. carbonara: taste okay not special, pasta texture ok not amazing, the pork taste good spaghetti al pesto: i saw many reviews recommend this so i give a try, its like super salty!! i tried to mix with the whipped mozzarella topping but it didnt help. i was thinking to ask their staff about the strong taste but my husband dont want to make things complicated and wait 25min again for a new pasta, so we finished all environment is not clean, there is a lip print on the water glass i am not saying its bad, but just manage your expectation before you go :)

Grassa oh do you have my heart, I truly love this place. The food is fresh and delicious and very consistent in the flavors and the sauce. The customer service is friendly and I can't say I have any complaints. The ambience is also fantastic I love the plants that give it a spacious and clean feel, on the topic of clean the cleanliness is definitely there, from all the times I have had grassa I have never had a bad experience. This is a go to for me and my friends, I am truly always craving Grassa. I have yet to try many other dishes but my favorite is the fusilli vodka pasta, the garlic bread along with it so divine. I would totally recommend this place to anybody looking for a delicious pasta spot in Portland or Vancouver!

We went here for the kid who insisted she wanted pasta for dinner. Like every single night of her life. When we saw the fresh pasta sign, we knew that we hit pay dirt. The restaurant is modern and sleek. You order at the counter and they bring to your table. We ordered kid's portion of pasta pomodora which was a good size for a kid. She ate it up and liked it. We tried the red sauce and thought it was acidic, but she did not complain until we said something. So, IMO the food was 3 stars. But one of the guys behind the counter was very helpful when I tried to decide on a draft beer, none of which I knew. He gave some samples which was very nice. So I bump them up to 4 stars for service. The restaurant is not water front so maybe that affects the foot traffic. It was not very busy when we were there. Overall, it was a good experience and the kid was happy.

Wow! Truly am BLOWN away by this place! First off the price point is VERY good. Super reasonable for such good quality food! The Cesar salad is one of the best I've ever had! Perfect amount of cheese and dressing. The romaine had a perfect crunch and the croutons were a great size! Also I loved that they put in brown anchovies, they're my FAV! The meatballs were jam packed with flavor, and the sauce had a touch of spice in it which I really enjoy! My husband had the fusilli, the sausage was pretty spicy which him and I loved, the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. And the serving was HUGE. I had the radiatore, it was spicier than I expected but I LOVED IT. Huge portion as well, the chicken was so tender and juicy, and the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente as well. The whipped ricotta was truly the star of the show on this dish. I loved the portion that gave you of it as well! We finished it all off with own shared canoli, I didn't really care for it as it had an orange zest flavor. The service was great. We loved all the cute plants inside and they have lots of searing options including a patio. There's street parking or parking garages near by!

Grassa, on my list for a fairly quick yummy pasta! Upon entering you order at the counter and they give you a number that you take to a table. They bring you your food once ready. It's a relaxed casual vibe. Got the Black Truffle Pappardelle and the Spaghetti Al Pesto. The Pappardelle was really yummy! Perfectly seasoned and flavorful! My personal favorite! The Pesto Pasta also had a great flavor but the sauce was a little soupy. Could have been thicker. Overall really like Grassa and recommend getting a side of garlic bread to accompany your pasta!

3/4 of our dishes were good while the black truffle pappardelle was underwhelming. Service was very kind to us. We must've just beat the rush because it got pretty packed after we already ordered and sat down. Would recommend the pork belly mac n cheese but I'm also a sucker for a good mac n cheese

I visited around 6pm Mother's Day by myself. Place was busy but I was able to order quickly and find a seat at the bar easily. You order at the bar then sit down with a table number. They bring the food to you. My food was delicious! I wish the spaghetti and meatballs had more sauce but I'll just order it with extra next time! Garlic bread phenomenal, my Caesar salad amazing. The service I received from the person at the front counter was great! long blonde haired woman. I totally should've tried to get her name so she could get praise from her peers/boss. I've never been to this location before but it's really nice! Pretty decorations lots of plants not sure if they were real but love the vibe.

This was my first time here. I had a good experience here. I got the spaghetti and meatballs and it was delicious. I really liked the meatballs as they had kind of a spicy sausage flavor. The pasta was really good and the sauce was pretty good too. I like that they have a few good microbrews on tap there. I thought the Cesar salad was really good too. It had an anchovy on top of it. The garlic bread was pretty good too. It was nice they dropped off our salad off at our table pretty much as soon as we sat down. I will come back here again for sure.

Some of the best pasta and brussel sprouts! We passed on the food trucks nearby once we heard there was home made pasta available and it definitely exceeded our expectations! The brussels have a dijon flavored sauce (my husband is not a mustard fan, but he said these were not over powering and just enhanced the flavor). The service was great friendly and quick and the margaritas were the best we have had all day! Craving pasta? You will love this place!

    Do they take reservations?

I doubt it since you order at the counter and seat yourself. They bring your food to you but you take your drinks to the table.

I also like good chips & coleslaw. I found all 3 here at the Waterfront Taphouse. Yay! (Don't worry they aren't too greasy!). We went here with another couple and enjoyed the beautiful view, even though our table wasn't right next to the window. That is probably due to all the big windows and it's on the 2nd floor of its building. Our server was friendly, and our food came out quickly. Loved the fish & chips, like I indicated above. Why the 4 stars then? My husband, the only one in our party that didn't order fish & chips, didn't love his mahi mahi fish tacos. They looked beautiful but fell short on flavor. He felt they needed more seasoning-they were a little tasteless. He dumped the tiny little cup of salsa on top and asked for more, but he was still disappointed. The fish wasn't salted properly. They also came with "house made" tortilla chips. These were hard and cardboard-like. That's too bad because it's not difficult to cut tortillas and fry them up. I do it at home sometimes. They turn out great. So maybe go to a good Mexican restaurant if you have your heart set on quality tortilla chips. If you want fish & chips though, come here instead of their neighbor to the east (not mentioning any names-you know what it's called). The portions were generous-as they should be for $30. That's the only downside. A little pricey. We shared 2 silk pie slices for dessert. Very dense and dark chocolatey. Good to share-a whole piece is too rich-and I like rich! If not for the fish tacos I would give Waterfront Taphouse 5 stars.

Pro tip: Do yourself a favor and specifically ask for Scott when you make your reservation. We ordered from the Prime Hour menu, which is an absolute bargain. You get to choose between soup or salad, two different entrees, and two different desserts. We both went with the seafood Tagliatelle, and wow. It was so rich, generously loaded with halibut, scallops, shrimp, and prosciutto in an incredible lemon pasta sauce.
