She artfully ignored the messy tables with dirty napkins, empty bags, and leftover food spread out on these tables right next to the trash receptacle. Nor did she sweep the floors covered in peanut shells and napkins. She basically did nothing. FG burgers are delicious. The fries are superb. No complaints on the food. But their prices are astronomical. It's amazing how much FG charges for simple burgers & fries. And the credit card machine actually prompted us for a tip ranging from 15% to 30%! For an employee at the counter to input our order. He never touched our credit card - we swiped it ourselves. Our interaction was barely 30 seconds as we verbally gave him our order. A tip? Really? After 15 loonngg minutes, we walked up to the counter to his left to retrieve our bag of food. We knew it was our order when a 2nd employee shouted out our ticket#. Very impersonal. And that's ok. But why would we tip at Five Guys? We decided this meal, as tasty as a burger & fries can be, would be our last visit. I refuse to shut up about it now and their corporate team even followed up with me and started lying about things in email before switching their story and finally giving me what I asked for: my measly little $1.70 refund to my original payment method. Here's what went down: - ordered sandwich with gluten free bun and paid for the items - did not receive what i paid for - called and complained, phone rep said they WOULD refund me - this lady named Yarielis M. Velez Ruiz (marketing director) emailed me and said they could NOT refund me and she wants me to drive to the location to process...uhh no not doing that thank you - instead of giving me money back wants me to download apps and provide personal info for food i don't want from them anymore - the marketing director communicated in email a refund was impossible....that is until i told her i would just open a ticket with my credit card company to let them handle it - all of a sudden a refund is on the table Why lie about it? Man i would have let this go a lonnnng time ago. It's just $1.70 but im reviewing based on principal at this point. Do t dig the hole deeper. Don't be shady and lie about stuff. lol it's wild. So yes. I am absolutely going all in on $1.70 because how dare you claim that i be a Christian establishment and then steal and lie your way through customer service all over $1.70.
