I've been to this location several times, but this was the best visit yet. Ordered online the evening of July 9, 2025--sandwiches were made quickly, had great flavor, and came with adequate toppings. I've been a loyal Jersey Mike's fan for years, ordering both here in Florida and even during onsite visits in Highlands Ranch, CO. Usually, the food and service are consistent, which is why tonight's experience at the Orange City location was such a shock. The moment we walked in, there was an odd smell. While waiting in line, we noticed water leaking from the back all the way to where customers stand -- a mix of deli juice and dirty fridge water. Employees were stepping lightly around it, but nothing was being cleaned up. Very unappetizing and unsanitary. We ordered a hot cheesesteak, but the bread was hard and old -- especially surprising since there was barely anyone in the store and no wait. We asked for ketchup (none available) and lettuce and tomato on the side, which came in tiny dressing cups, hardly enough for a sandwich. The tables were dirty, and when I went to throw my food away, the trash can didn't even have a bag in it, with trash piled at the bottom. The staff seemed new and were trying, but the bigger issue was the lack of management or oversight. To top it off, the music was blasting sad 80's heartbreak songs, which only made the atmosphere worse. We left disappointed, disgusted, and with stomach aches. For a brand I usually trust everywhere I go, this location was far below Jersey Mike's standards. I really hope management takes notice and makes changes. read more

My experience was good. My Philly cheesesteak sub was good and staff was nice. No long lines.

My husband and I were in the area on Monday and we ate at Jersey Mike's for lunch. I had a $2 off coupon for any sub. My husband and I split a giant super sub with salt and vinegar chips and a drink. The location was clean and well-staffed. It was lunch time, so the location was busy and filling online orders and in person orders. I think they did a really good job considering how busy it was. The staff was friendly and made our order perfectly. We always get extra mayonnaise, oil, and seasoning so the sandwich is a bit sloppy, but it hit the spot! The Mr. Vickie's chips were crispy and savory as always. We love the stubborn soda, our favorite is the cream soda, so of course we had some of that with our meal. We would definitely eat here again. I piggy-backed off a coworker's door dash and ordered a really good chicken steak sub with extra peppers and onions. Doesn't seem like extra were added but it was so good and the bread was fresh. I have to start with saying the people at this location are very nice. But look. This sub is just sub par. The meat is good. No doubt can tell it's sliced fresh. But my sub comes with "the sauce" and all my beautiful bread is soggy AF. I decline the tomatoes and add pickles and I get TWO pickles. Added salt, pepper, and additional pickles at home to try to make it okay. Maybe my fault. No oil next time. Usually the oil is In the sub, not coating it. I'm 50/50 on this one. Umm walked in maybe 10m before close. Intention was to order a cold turkey sub. Nothing that would have them doing any intense work. Whomever was working did not seem interested or a little bummed that someone walked in. Before even saying hello the person working told me what they could not make. I went there and had a turkey club giant sub, I took it out, to home, but watched it being created, in a clean and organized atmosphere! They put plenty of meats cheese, and the fixings on it, that you want! The lettuce is shredded so nice, the tomatoes too, that they melt in your mouth, I don't like when I get a sub with chunks of lettuce and tomatoes in my mouth, I like to taste the turkey, which tasted so good and fresh...they have some seating and the restaurant is kept clean too...the service is great, they try to get your food done as quick and efficiently as possibly, all with a smile and being courteous too...I have been to other locations, and so far, this one is my favorite! The only thing that I don't like is places that put tip jars out, and the workers look at you crooked, if you don't put something in it! By looking at the other reviews I must have gone on the right day because the employees were courteous and the food was great. First the place was clean especially during Covid. If it's not clean I leave. Second there were two people in front of me in line so I new I was going to have to wait a few minutes. I prefer waiting than being in an empty store and wondering why no business. I took my food with me and ate in the parking lot so I could listen to my talkshows on the radio. The bread was still in good shape not soggy even though it had oil and vinegar on it. Tonight was the worst experience i've ever been through. I ordered a chicken california, the order was completely wrong and when i asked for a refund for my food they took their sweet time. I gave them cash and he gave me my receipt but no cash, that is not all, the employee rosie shouted racial slurs more than once, i am black and hearing and experiencing that in the store was very offensive. I wanted to order mushrooms too but this location was extremely short-staffed. How are those two details related? Well, one of the only two people working was very confused with everyone's order and looked visibly overwhelmed. So, instead of being picky with my order, I just asked for no peppers. This follow-up review is to share today's revisit to the store. I was skeptical about returning, thinking I'd see the young man from last week's visit. To my surprise, he was in fact working. I wasn't so sure if he'd recognized me or not when I walked inside and began my order. When the time came to pay, this young man acknowledged that he remembered me by offering an apology for his unacceptable behavior last week. I proceeded by extending an apology, as my response came from a place of disbelief and feeling disrespected. I'm happy we were able to resolve this issue peacefully. Today at this one, my som ordered a regular ham and cheese sub and they only put 4 slices of very thin sliced ham on the sub. Every other Jersey Mike's loads the meat up. I asked the young man making the sandwich about it and was looked at like I was wrong. I won't be returning to this location. So much wrong with this location. *Tragic* this particular hole in the ground is allowed to wear the JMike's name. I walked in to see 2 customers in front of me. I waited a bit, without being addressed in any way until the customer in front of me asked me had I ordered online? I replied no, he got a concerned look on his face and said "Good Luck." He was called next so I couldn't ask him what that meant. I found out all too soon. Since no one yet had even looked at me much less acknowledged I was in the store, I walked around to engage one of 5 people behind the counter. I asked "Where do I order?" and was off handedly told to "stand by the slicer." I raised an eyebrow and dutifully walked to the slicer. I was able to watch a small man, a kid really, busily adding veg to 5 sandwiches. At no point in the entire time I was there did he ever say a word to me. The large woman kinda running the show was busy barking at a man who came in after me, something about he didn't order right. Didn't order right? Whaaa? I waited for 5 full minutes without anyone working there speaking to me. I finally asked if anyone was going to acknowledge me standing there? The large woman said over her shoulder she would be with me in a minute and went back to barking at the other customer. I tell you right now, if I hadn't promised my sweetie a turkey club "Mike's Way", I would have e-x-i-t-e-d. As it was, I resolved to buy him only that sandwich. I told myself I'll go next door to Publix for the rest of the people waiting at my house for dinner and get treated like a customer. I was about to pull out my phone and order the other 8 subs at Publix when Ms. Thang barkser extraordinaire sailed over to ask what I "wan-id" [sic]. I would leave thier names, but not a one was wearing a name tag. I told her a Number 8, Mike's Way, to which she said "Ima slice it an {unintelligible} will add." Ok, great. Another 5 mins drags by. Now a taller kid came out from the back and told the smaller kid to start some online orders. 2nd kid asks "What on it?" I replied "Mike's Way, please". He slopped some of this and that on the sandwich, rolled it up and slapped it in a bag. He asked barsker woman if I had paid, she yelled "I'll handle it!" from inside the back area depths. Another 5 minutes drags by. She finally waddled up to operate the payment system and asked if I wanted chips and a drink. I responded, "I'm here for that sandwich and not an ounce of anything else." She then had the brass balls (or the automation) to explain the tip process. I asked as my card was being processed, "Who manages this establishment?" She mumbled it was at the top of my receipt as she slid it across the counter, pointedly not placing it in my outstretched hand. I replied, "Oh? Is it 'Dine In' or 'Jersey Mike's Subs 13086?' " She asked to see the receipt and in the exact MIDDLE of it, she pointed to the name "Shaniah", designated as "Server". To top it all off, the phone listed on said receipt (which, I might add, is sitting here mocking me for spending $9.53 to be insulted and treated like a problem) is no longer in service. Of course!! Why on earth would the number be "not in service"??!! Too many angry calls, methinks. The time stamp on this receipt is 5:18pm. I looked at my UPS store receipt where I was immediately prior to this woeful encounter. The time I left there? 4:49pm. Let's be generous and say it took 5 mins to walk from one store to the next. Heck, let's say I walked in JMike's at 5pm! That makes it an astonishing 18 minutes to get to the receipt. 18 minutes! You, kind reader, must now make your own decision as to whether this is the type experience you will (most likely) have choosing this location ..or.. if your hard earned money is better spent elsewhere. Somewhere the priviledge of your patronship actually still means something. Thank you for spending these few moments reading. P.S. My Publix receipt time is 5:37pm. Wow!!! 19 minutes! I went in for the first time on Jan 20th around 4:45 pm and the counter was dirty with leftover items, the meat slicer looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in months and 5 employees were just in back talking instead of cleaning. I wrote a review on google and I didn't order because of the filth in this location. I'd never been in a Jersey Mike's and never will again. The "owner" replied to my review: "Debbi, Thank you for your honest feedback. I'm very sorry we failed to meet your expectations. When you have a moment please reach out to Valarie at 850 228-9457 so we can address your concerns. Respectfully, Valarie" I can't understand why they aren't able to go to the location and see what's going on. I don't feel I should call another number when I've clearly put in the review what was wrong. In the passed this location tries to close early, often turning off lights to appear closed after 7:00 pm. Also, order correctness is a constant battle. I decided to give it one last shot. I walked in, ordered and tipped well. They handed me a bag and ushered me along. I blame myself for making it home with my takeout before realizing they had shorted me a sub. When I returned 15 minutes later stating that they probably had an extra number 16 laying around, the manager said yes and asked me for my receipt like they had no recollection of who I was. This locations has its ups and downs as far as employees. Sometimes they are super awesome and friendly, other times they are so bland you don't dare make eye contact with them in fear of a conversation starting. The food is always great though. I deliver for Door dash upon arriving I was the only one at the restaurant, the employee was on the phone taking on order (all good). She finished her phone order and went to the computer; at that time another delivery driver came in and so did 2 other employees. The driver gave her the name on the order as she continued to pull paper out of the computer and ask her if she found his order. She replied she did but was having some trouble. He finally left. I waited over 25 minutes for a sub and chips. The only time she acknowledged me is when I gave her the name on my order when I walked in. My order was "dropped" on the counter after 2 other drivers came in and got their order first. Very rude, no communication skills and unprofessional. I've never eaten here and never will. I ordered a tuna sandwich from these people today because I can't get out as I've damaged my foot. I paid almost $20.00 including tip for this sandwich that came on wet bread with hardly anything in it. I was really disappointed and the bread was half missing on one of the half sandwiches.
