Not great but not terrible. My vote was two stars. My husband said 4 but to give at least 3 stars because "we did have a pretty okay time." I didn't ask the rest of our group for their star vote. Our group had a good time but I doubt I'd come back except maybe for a quick happy hour of a drink and a chocolate course. My dissatisfaction centers around a few unfortunate aspects of our experience: The ventilation was very poor, in the upstairs area at least. It was the first time I ever regretted getting a 9 oz pour of wine; it got unappealingly warm quickly. By the time we were done with the entree portion, we were all a feeling a bit oily. I was not impressed with the cheese course. Our group had two between us. They were both okay but were more heavy and rich than flavorful, and we found the dippers that went with them to be an odd combination. I thought about asking our server to bring us something to add to the cheese or maybe different dippers but I wasn't exactly sure what was off, and she didn't come back very often. I ended up pretty disappointed in both the situation and myself because we ate it all anyway as we just sat there and waited. (I am not particularly unhappy with the service because theoretically, I imagine guests do just want to sit and be left alone during each course). I was excited for the vegetarian entree because of the variety but I do not suggest ordering that. It was very hit and miss with both texture and taste when cooked in either of the cooking oils. Also, it doesn't affect my rating, but everything from the vegetarian entree selection had a lot of trouble staying on the skewer. Unsurprisingly, the chocolate was spot on. The two types we got were both delicious and everything we were given to dip went great. There was nothing particularly awful with our visit, but with the reputation of this brand, my past experiences at other locations and the amount of money spent, I expected more. It doesn't affect my rating but it is worth noting the overall setup was all over the place, with the parking lot and outside looking run down while the patio looked upscale casual and the inside aesthetic was spot-on classical historic. Armed with 3 course fondue gift valued at $60, here I am. Did make the reservation but forgot to specify preferred table. They were busy during Saturday lunch and default option was the dark corner. Some people may like dark but personally, prefer bright interior or even a window seats. Got the upstairs, cozy, romantic corner. Sat around for good 20 minutes. Nothing happened and finally had to go down to the hostess station and 911. Within minutes, server stopped by and few minutes later, manager stopped by and apologized in very nice manner. Also presented the charcuterie board. Nice gesture. I was pleasantly surprised to find that many well-known wines were half price - by the glass or by the bottle. We came to the melting pot on Valentine's Day. We made a late reservation at 9:30 PM. We were able to find parking nearby due to the late arrival time. The hosts were nice and the ambience was spectacular. We were able to sit in a section that felt like our own little hideaway. Our server Christina R was professional and very knowledgeable. Our dining experience included a four stage process. We first started with bread, fruit, and vegetables, alongside the melting pot of cheese. That was a neat experience for me because this was my first time at the restaurant. My wife has been to the restaurant before. Our second course was the salad and it was good. Our third course with a variety of meat and shrimp to be cooked. It was delicious. It came with six different sauces that all tasted lovely. Our dessert came with a variety of fruit, cheesecake and more. We were able to have a melting pot of chocolate to dip that into. I enjoyed a Sprite throughout the dining experience. My wife enjoyed a Yin and Yang martini that was phenomenal. Our experience was five stars out of five stars. The service here was absolutely incredible, and they went above and beyond to help my (now!) fiancé pull off the perfect proposal. We came here to celebrate our anniversary, and I had absolutely no idea what was coming, so I was completely unsuspecting. When the proposal happened, I was in total shock in the best way possible. The staff was so thoughtful throughout the entire process. They even allowed him to choose his favorite seat the night before, which made the moment feel extra special and intentional. I loved how intimate the experience was. It didn't feel crowded or like a bunch of people were staring at us, which made it feel much more personal compared to other restaurants. On top of that, the food was great. The cheese fondue was hands down my favorite part and something I'm still thinking about. Overall, this place holds such a special place in my heart now. The Melting Pot has never let me down as far as service or food and both were excellent on this visit. Every member of the staff treated us like VIP's - notably our server Jasmine and Tre. As usual, we got our salads to go because there is so much food with the 4 course dinner. We were celebrating my friend's Mom's 80th birthday and the manager even came over with a slice of cheesecake with a candle. I can't say enough good things about the Melting Pot - the ambience is cozy and even when they're packed, it doesn't feel like it because of all the curtains and walls. The history of the building is really interesting too - it used to be a library and a prison and I swear there are still ghosts there. Such a fun thing to do from a romantic date all the way to fun with kids! We came for my son's birthday and had a blast. The kids thought I was being silly on purpose drive here as they couldn't believe we were going to be given our food raw to cook ourselves. They quickly realized the truth and the fun began. We went here for our anniversary yesterday and got Chelsea as our waitress. She was amazing, great service, and friendly. Not sure who filled out waters (as we had the curtains closed and just saw hands filling our water glasses) but who ever it was did a great job as our waters were never empty! While the price has gone up (1 4-course dinner for two) was $140 (not including tip, drinks, or extra stuff). However we noticed the amount of meat we got was more than last time, and Chelsea confirmed that their resent price increase included more quantity of the food. So that does make up for the price. But this is definitely a once in a blue moon for a very special occasion type of place (if you want the full experience). I highly recommend putting in the reservation that if you are a party of 2 or 4 to get 2 burners (so you don't all have to agree on the same cheese, cooking style, and dessert). After 6 years of going here, this restaurant has been on a steep decline for the last 2 years until we have gone for the last time. We kept saying, "maybe it was just a bad night. Maybe it was the server." But last night we actually spoke to a manager and realized they are in a decline because they have changed their policies and no longer care about repeat customers. Get people in. Charge them high prices. Never give them value. And it doesn't matter if they come back. My wife took her work team of 20 for their holiday party in 2025. They all agreed to never do it again. And then after giving the restaurant a few months to see if it improved, I took my daughter for an early dinner and was treated poorly from the minute I walked in. I think it is a unique experience, but hey I a don't want to pay what they charge to cook my own food. They give you sauces that you instantly forget what they are for, so honestly ate the meager morsels with one sauce. You pay for high-end food when what you are getting is more like a "hot pot" experience. The whole thing should cost you $40 max. We spent $300. Ridiculous. Had I known, I would've NEVER gone. Handicapped parking spaces were available, but at both entrance points there were too many stairs. Too many stairs inside, with poor lighting. I always love the Melting Pot and the food is so delicious. This past time the hubs and I went was for Endless Fondue and it was an amazing time eating in the outdoor dome. So there are a couple rules to Endless Fondue: 1. If you pass a course, you cannot go back to it and 2. No to-go boxes. Ok simple enough. The first course is a cheese course and we ordered the green goddess cheddar as our first cheese and the Wisconsin trio as our second. If you love cheese, you can just stay in the first course. We opted to skip the salad for our second course and went directly to entrée. You're allowed to choose 5 items for the first order and then each refill is 3 items, but of course, it's endless so order as many refills as you can eat. I had pork tenderloin, filet mignon, shrimp, artichoke hearts, asparagus, and raviolis. We chose to cook our food in bouillon but you can upgrade to another cooking liquid. For dessert, we opted for the Bourbon Pecan which was dark chocolate with caramel and the server lights the bourbon on fire as she added it with the candied pecans. The desserts for dipping were pound cake, rice crispy treats, marshmallows, pineapple, bananas, and strawberries. Our server then asked if we were ready for another chocolate pot. By this time, we were so full and knew we were going to waddle out of there so we declined. We ate for 2:15 and we're not sorry about it.
