I went here for my birthday mainly for the strawberries. For fondue, a salad and a beer it was $56. I mentioned to the manager that the cheese fondue had no flavor. She offered me a different cheese fondue, but I just don't prefer the others. I ate the fondue and it was flavorless (like a mozzarella fondue.). The manager went in the back to make one to taste for herself. She agreed that it had no flavor and saw that their cheese mix was different than they normally use. Ugh, $56 later for my birthday and a fondue with no flavor. I ate the strawberries when I got home and they were mushy and very tart. Truly a disappointment. read more

If there is a fondue place near me there's a 95% chance I will go to it regardless how good or bad the reviews are. My husband and I have been to this Melting Pot location before and I needed to get my cheese fix so we decided to come here last night. Restaurant is in a good location with plenty of parking. We made a reservation on open table and were seated right away. The Host was really nice and noticed my husband was using crutches so they gave us the option of a booth or a table which was great. Our server was excellent- took her time explaining everything was constantly checking on us to see if we needed anything. She also made one of the best cheeses I have had- it was perfect. Many will say, you been to one Melting Pot, you have been to all of them...that is simply not true. I have been to ones with bad food or bad service and this one exceeds my expectations every time and always has the freshest ingredients and remarkable service! There are only a few things I could say that could take this review from a 4 star rating to a 5 star. The first being the broth could use a little less salt, the tend to overdo it here and the next would be to have a little heavier pour on their old fashions/rocks/neat drinks, for the price you pay it comes up a little short. read more

I've been to many melting pots, and this is the lowest rating I have given for this particular melting pot. For as expensive as it is for 2 people to eat there.I don't appreciate a fifteen dollar extra charge.Because of the bs sales tax on top of two other taxes that I don't remember what they 're called. But what melting pot can control is automatically charging twenty percent.Just because there's an extra burner on the table. I have never been to a melting pot that did that. Not to mention sitting us at a table where it felt like the table was up to our shoulders.But then putting us at a better location, yet an air vent blowing on us, making it freezing and uncomfortable the whole time. Not to mention how dark it was that we had to use our flashlights on hour phone. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent, though. Located right off Kings Hwy., in Rainbow Harbor, a small section of shops. Table was ready, even though we were about 10 minutes early. We had a cute corner booth that was out of the way of main traffic. Our server, Nick, had only been serving solo for about a week, and he had a smile the whole way through our dinner. He was very attentive, although he got the drink refill wrong, but it was easily corrected. He was also good about leaving us alone and giving us time to enjoy the meal and each other. Even though we didn't order dessert, when he heard it was our anniversary, he brought us something special, with no extra charge. The food was delicious and we were able to 86 an item from my order (and add more of something else.) Nick also brought us extra of our favorite sauces. We stopped in at 4pm on NYE for a drink and appetizer. We sat at the bar but the bartender didn't arrive till 5. So a manager made our drinks which were not awful but was not exactly what the Ying and Yang usually is. My husband got an old fashion, which he orders a lot at various, it wasn't awful but again not what it should have been. We got just the fondue cheese, like I said we just stopped in for appetizer. They had a limited menu for NYE which was fine but for 2 drinks and a pot of cheese our bill was $90 before a tip. That was with poor service, subpar drinks and just ok cheese. I am not cheap and I don't mind paying for good service, food and drinks but this sucked. You should be ashamed to call yourself a high end restaurant. I think NYE snuck up on them!! read more

We went right after pirates voyage and we did not have reservations. Just wanted to end my son's birthday with chocolate. They were super friendly and got us in and I think our waiter might have been a little new which is why I don't think his service was spectacular. We got the chocolate which we got the turtle one and the guy kind of put too much of the fire that he couldn't get it to go out. It smelled delicious and it was very clean. My son however did burn himself which I'm not saying is anyone's fault but the waiter saw it and instead of him going and getting ice he acknowledged it and said he would be back with something to help him and then never came until the end. The staff is excellent though and knowledgeable about the food and the preparation. The food... amazing. The cheese fondue and the chocolate was my favorite. We took our family here for a special anniversary dinner. When I made the reservation, I was told tabletop grilling was also available. We had a party of 8 and was seated at a long table in a very noisy area and asked our waitress to talk louder as we could hardly hear her. She was very accomadating overall trying to explain about the menu. We were disappointed that no tabletop grilling was offered . Also, there were 2 fondue pots on our table, so we were limited on what we all wanted to fondue. Overall, the food was fresh, but my steak and chicken to fondue was already so overseasoned with salt and pepper I couldn't eat it. We ordered an oil and a broth fondue for the table. The veges cooked in broth were nothing special and most not eaten. The seafood was fresh and tasty. The tempura batter did not cook up crispy. Chocolate fondue dessert enjoyed by all. Between drinks and some ala cart items our bill came to over $600. We all agreed that we could have eaten elsewhere with a more accomadating menu. As for me the anniversary girl, I was disappointed with the ambiance,the noise and my overseasoned food. I came here based on the great reviews. Fodd was horrible! Salmon was rancid and shrimp as well definitely been sitting out for hours. Shrimp was slimy tot he touch and it all tasted like rotten fish. We only ate the cheese fondue. Management did absolutely nothing to accommodate us took 20 dollars off a 300 dollar bill and tried to give us 30 dollars in gift cards to comeback Absolutely avoid this place like the plague! read more

A total blast!!! We were staying in MB for our sons 14th birthday. We wanted a fun experience for dinner. My husband found MP, easily made reservations (thank you!) and even surprised him with a birthday bear. We didn't really have an idea what to order or what to do but it ended up being a fun experience that is perfect for special occasions. Our waitress was helpful and attentive. Great place to go if you have celiacs! Big sticker right on the window when you first walk in that they're trained and compliant. Now this place is expensive however, you get what you pay for and that's an experience with some awesome food. The menu is a lot to take in so do your research ahead of time if you don't like surprises. Everything with gluten was clearly marked and thankfully they allow for substitutions. We opted to skip the salad which no one usually does but you can skip whoever courses you'd like. They're typically 4 courses but don't let that scare you. Get whatever you want! Skip the salad, eat the chocolate! Place was a bit dark but quiet given the place was packed! We'd definitely eat here again knowing they take allergies seriously. (Comes with bread, broccoli, cauliflower) 2nd Pick your salad-Caesar. 3rd Pick your 2 entrees-Land and Sea plus 2 sides of lobsters $18 each, and . Then Pick cooking style for your entree's-Grill. (Land and sea had salmon, shrimp, chicken and steak plus mushrooms, potatoes and broccoli's to grill) 4 Pick your chocolate-milk chocolate. (Comes with cake, fudge, marshmallows, Rice Krispies, bananas, strawberries and pineapples) For celebration, they offer things like roses, stuff animal and so forth. I got the 1 rose $12.99. Restaurant is dark, but it's romantic. I just didn't like that they face each others table. It's in an L shape table so you're actually staring at the other table if there's only 2 of you. I've been waiting to visit for years and finally I made tonight my first. It was just as good as I hoped it would be. The cheese was so much fun and the chocolate was amazing. We all enjoyed cooking our entrees and I kept track of our timers. I will say that the timers are a bit on the conservative side and will cook everything well. Our first visit, however we have gifted Melting Pot dinners to two of our children on special evenings in the past. They really enjoyed their visits so we thought it was time for us to try it out. Maybe it was an off night but it was just a completely awkward experience. Our server, Brooklynn, was training someone new and I feel some parts of the usual intro was missed. The new server was very poised and had a great, outgoing personality but some things just seemed off compared to what we were hearing from more seasoned servers around us. The food was fresh and plentiful. Some aspects were better than others. My husband eats meat and enjoyed his Pacific Rim selection for the most part. He felt the meat would probably have had less of a 'boiled' feel if he'd had the cast iron grill. He shared this feedback with our server. I selected the Garden Pot and the Impossible Polpettes were delicious! I feel the thin cut on the vegetables made it very difficult to keep them on the forks in the cooking liquid. I think wedge shapes or chunks of onion and peppers would be less frustrating to handle and require less use of the 'Rescue Spoon.' Also, a list of the sauces at the table would be nice since the servers go through it quickly and it's difficult to remember them all. The Flaming Turtle dessert was delicious! I was excited to see Rice Crispy Treats and those Oreo Marshmallows were amazing! One last feedback would be some sort of timer at the table because it is so easy to over cook the meats when conversing. I doubt we will return because it just really was not for us but I hope you take the feedback for future reference. read more
