Holy hot sauce! Or should I say...holy green goddess sauce! The Melting Pot was a favorite of mine as a child and I recently returned as an adult. My thought process was, surely it's not as good as I remember? Dear reader, it WAS. The price for the four course meal is totally worth it for the amount of food you get, and from fondue to dessert you are in for a treat. With plenty of gluten free and other diet sensitive items, substitutions are accommodated without flaw. On top of it, the interactive aspect of the meal leads to fun and conversation that you might not get at run of the mill restaurants. Come hungry, as you've got plenty of sauces, proteins, and flavors to try! The vibe is very dim date night, but all kinds of people and groups were dining so there is no pressure if you show up with friends or children! Our server was absolutely fantastic, as were all employees we encountered during the night. We left stuffed to the brim, and yet already dreamt of returning before our bellies had time to digest. I am so glad to have had such a great experience, and can't wait to return!

5 star service all the way from talking to Trevor on the phone who was very informative and informative on making my reservation. To our very dedicated server Julia. She really made the night special. Walked us through the menu was very knowledgeable about the food and very patient. Food was amazing so was the pace of the experience at no point did we feel rushed or overwhelmed. Price was very reasonable for the quality of food service and ambience. We celebrated my wife's birthday and she loved it will definitely be making the drive back.

The service was fantastic. It's a bit pricey, but if you are available during restaurant week where they have deals, it is worth the experience.

We are such big fans of The Melting Pot. We have been dining here for years and it will continue to be a staple venue for celebrations. Our most recent visit was an anniversary celebration. I booked a reservation on Open Table and requested chocolate covered strawberries for the occasion. When we arrived they were waiting at our table with a sweet card from the staff. We are always seated on time so we didn't have to wait more than a minute or two. We already knew what we wanted to order, as there was an Octoberfest special going on. We asked a few questions about the menu and our wonderful waitstaff had all the answers. She was so kind and helpful. The food, as always was delicious. We love that the waitstaff tells us a bit about the menu and what she is in the different courses. We did the full spread with cheese fondue, salad, grill for our entree and wrapped up with chocolate fondue for dessert. Our waitstaff also brought some extra veggies and dessert accompaniments and even sent some home with us. The restaurant is always clean and cozy and perfect for a night out with a date or an intimate group of family and friends. It's never loud so it's easy to visit. Be sure to follow them on social media to watch for fun themes and menus throughout the year. We'll definitely be back.

Went here the other night for dinner with my fiance. I will start by saying that I have been to Korean Bbq restaurants where the server told stories about how customers complained that they needed to cook their own food. This is not Korean Bbq, obviously, but if you don't like the idea of cooking your own food at the table, then this might not be for you. My fiance and I enjoyed the experience. There were no issues with finding parking. For me, I find it frustrating to start a night by driving around looking for parking. I did not have that issue here. We got into the restaurant, and my fiance let them know that we had a reservation. They were not able to find our reservation, but they were able to get us a table quickly. The table we were seated had a stove top in the middle. The seat curved around the table, so we both had access to the stove top. The meal started with us choosing the type of cheese that we wanted. We picked Wisonsin. A pot of Wisconsin cheese was put on the stove to heat up. We were given a plate of bread, fruit, and vegetables to dip in the cheese. The second part of the meal was a salad. I chose the Ceasar Salad. The third part allowed us to pick our proteins and also the way that we would cook them at the table. The version that we picked to prepare the food involved dipping the food in a hot broth until it was cooked. They have cook times on the menu. There is a scene in the original (still the best) Ghostbusters where they advise not to cross the streams. This is good advice in Ghostbusters and for this restaurant. Make sure that if you are trying to get something to cook that the person you are with does not pull a hot piece out of the pot and over where your hand is. In short, just be careful. The final part was dessert. They exchanged the broth for a pot of chocolate and brought out a plate thar had bananas, waffle pieces, marshmallows, and more. All the food was delicious and we enjoyed the unique experience. Our server was very knowledgeable and was a great help in explaining everything. She was also very attentive and checked on us often. Her checking on us could be just making sure there were no fires to put out. I'm happy to say that I did not burn the place down, and it is still there for others to enjoy. I recommend this place for good food, great service, and a unique experience

    What is proper attire?

I’ve gone in jeans and a t-shirt. Some people dress up. I just wouldn’t go in sweat pants.

Would it be okay to dress nicely, as in a maxi dress and heels?

Not sure what a maxi dress is, but have been plenty of times and folks dress up.

Can we have a broth and a grill?

Sure thing. If you are a party of 5 or more you will automatically have a table with two burners. For smaller parties, you can request an additional burner and we can put one at a smaller table if there’s not a larger table available.

Located in La Cantera and adjacent to Perry's, it's a large location but parking can be a bit tricky at times. It's loud, so don't come here if you're looking for quiet and intimate. More or less a hang out, kick it with friends kinda vibe. By the door, they have chewy caramels that you can nosh on while waiting for your table or to grab on your way out. Maybe we did both? lol they even sell some small apothecary type stuff as well. Ok let's get to the food! We got the crab cake and the colossal cinnamon roll to start. The kids loved the colossal cinnamon roll. Perfectly balanced with a toffee sauce and spiced pecans. Husband wanted savory so he got the crab cake. It's not Maryland style but it uses gulf crab and a mustardy-seed mix. He and the eldest really enjoyed it! Me, I liked the pickled onions and frisée. I got the steak & eggs hash with a sunny side up egg and medium steak. The steak was just right and had a good flavor. The shishito peppers could've used a touch of salt but they were a good contrast to the crispy fried potatoes, which were large chunks by the way. If only I could have a whole saucier of the avocado hollandaise . It was delicious on the potatoes and the steak! The shrimp and grits were definitely diff from the version we had last year but we liked it! Very vibrant and fresher tasting! The eldest had chicken and waffle. Comes with 2 tenders, 2 eggs your way (she chose sunny side), 1 waffle, syrup and creamy sausage gravy. I normally don't care for sausage gravy but this was NTS! The youngest had the kids Macaroni and cheese, which comes with your choice of 1 side (we chose green beans). We were pleasantly surprised to see it also came with carrots, which she happily ate. Like and crunchy green beans with a creamy and cheesy Mac! Servers don't hover and there's plenty walking around if you need to grab someone's attention for something. I'm gonna miss this establishment when we move back to the east coast

On a day when the restaurant had only two occupied tables, it was difficult to understand why our food took approximately 45 minutes to arrive. Unfortunately, the delay became more understandable when we discovered our order had been swapped with the other table's. Mistakes happen, but what followed was far more frustrating than the error itself. When we politely pointed out that our order was incorrect, the staff argued with us and insisted that the dish matched the menu description. In doing so, they made claims about menu items that were simply untrue. Rather than listening to customer feedback or attempting to resolve the issue, the staff became defensive and offered no meaningful effort to correct the mistake or improve the experience. We then asked to speak to the manager and that took another 10-15 minutes for her to simply come and remove our plates from the table. As for the food, it was acceptable at best. Nothing was particularly memorable, and certainly nothing justified the premium pricing. For the quality delivered, the menu feels significantly overpriced. Good restaurants are often judged not by whether mistakes occur, but by how they respond when they do. Between the slow service, incorrect order, dismissive attitude, and mediocre food, this was a thoroughly disappointing experience and not one I would recommend for tourists or locals.

I am glad they're renovating the place, though. We did not have a reservation prior, and they were able to accommodate our party of 4 for lunch. Our server seated us and took our order promptly. My little shared the tenders and shrimp plate, because the coat of each child's play is $14 and I knew they wouldn't eat it all. It was 2 tenders and 2 coconut shrimp. We opted for the sweet potato fries for $1 more. The portion could have been larger. It was a scant handful of fries. My husband and I shared the burrata appetizer. The dish was very tasty, but the tomato's were very soft and turned to mush quickly. The arugula was a nice touch but some was yellowing on top and there was an old wilted/dark green/slimy piece, but it was small enough to push over. I was just surprised to see that on our dish considering the cost of the dish. My husband had the Cobb salad for lunch. His salad looked nice and tasty. We were surprised to see the avocado was brown in a few places. I had the lobster shrimp roll with sweet potato fries. There was lots of lobster claw meat and shrimp. For $27, I didn't expect to see so much claw meat. The fries were the same scant handful of sweet potato fries. It would have been nice to see a more full pile of fries in both our dishes.
