I appreciate that he reached out and that the restaurant investigated. However, that does not change what happened or the impact it has had on me. We had a great experience coming here for our wedding anniversary! We just wanted something sweet to cap off our evening with so we came for dessert only and it was amazing. It's been a few years since my husband and I have been here but now we can't wait to go back. The service was excellent, quick, and our server, Kim was fantastic, recommending drinks to go with our dessert as well as being so kind, friendly, and enjoyable to talk to. The Melting Pot: Walking in- The atmosphere was rustic but clean, and the smell walking in was extremely pleasant. The booths were very secluded, great for a date or just for some privacy. Service: Having to explain the menu and how a place like this works is hard work, and our server did it well. Victoria and Lexi were kind and respectful and explained things well. Appetizers- The bread board was wonderful to dip in the Wisconsin cheddar. The caesar salad was good, but the candied pine nuts added an unnecessary sweetness. The California salad was good but overdressed. Meal- The entrees were great; the skewers were color coded to each person so you knew whose food belonged to who. There was a booklet that showed the cook times. There were a variety of sauces and bottomless veggies to go with your meal and the cooking was overall a great experience. The chicken potstickers were DELICIOUS; great with the teriyaki sauce. The salmon was also really good, along with the bourbon steak which was tender and super flavorful. The pepper steak was also flavorful but even more delicious was the teriyaki steak, bursting with amazing flavor. The chicken was decent, but the duck was fabulous, it went well with the plum sauce. The potatoes and broccoli were good as well. I'm not a big fan of shrimp but it went great with the cooking style we chose (mojo), and was excellent. Dessert: The dessert was amazing, the s'mores flambé was great with the assortment of sweet treats (i.e waffle bits, brownies, blondies, pound cake, Rice Krispie Treats, strawberries, bananas, and graham crackers) and was wonderful with milk. Presentation was very cute. The birthday cake flavored fondue was tasty. Definitely over priced. Didn't like how the server dropped us the bill when we weren't even done our food yet. Our food was delicious and Dylan treated us great. We made reservations at 4:30 to celebrate my birthday. We were seated in a nice quiet corner. Shortly after getting our cheese they sat 4 very loud women directly next to us. When there were 3 other tables in the same room that would have accommodated them which also was in Dylan's area. We couldn't hear each other talk and frankly ruined the ambiance of our celebration. When I said something to the "manager" she wouldn't even look at me and just said "sorry". Very disappointing. I've been going for 30+ years and always all black. So food was good, then our dessert came out. I've eaten here 4-5 times a year my whole life. They sent out our fruit and dipping for the chocolate. The four course meal includes a cheese fondue (my favorite), a salad (the California is really delicious), an entree (meat and other choices as well as vegetables) and a dessert chocolate fondue (also quite amazing). We go several times a year every year. The ambiance is great, and you have your own little private space with walls. This location has always been so accommodating too. One year we wanted to go on Valentine's Day (my birthday) but since the special meal that day is typically shellfish (which I'm highly allergic to) I couldn't go. They offered to let us in a little early so we could be in and out before the shellfish was prevalent. I mean, what an amazing thing to do! We've also gone just for the chocolate fondue, for just the cheese, for cheese and chocolate - you can customize however you like! I highly recommend going!! It's a super fun time. Get extra green goddess with the main entree because it's so good on everything but especially great if you cook the mushrooms and then stuff them with green goddess. The Melting Pot is where you come for a unique fondue and eating experience. I wouldn't say the quality of the food is extraordinary, and it definitely is on the pricier end. I went with a group of 6 and it took us around 3 hours to go through our four-course meal: salad, cheese fondue, meats, and dessert. Our server Savannah was amazing and so patient with us--one person in my group had a lot of questions due to allergies and using the same bowls, and she answered them all with so much grace. One downfall is that we were told multiple times it was $45 per person but when the bill came, mine said $50. I'm not sure if this was just an oversight, but I didn't notice until after I got home (and again, not a big deal - just an unmet expectation). I would recommend the Quattro Formaggio for the cheese fondue (the spinach artichoke was just ok in my opinion); the Coq Au Vin and Mojo for broths; and the S'mores for dessert - they burn the marshmallow in front of you...so cool! read more

RJ brought me to Melting Pot on January 1. When you arrive for your reservation you are supposed to call and they will tell you to come in. But the phone is always busy so I had to call 12 times. However, once I did get through, they told us we could come in. We were seated right away and the tables are spaced out for Covid. So why oh why did they seat a table of 3 noisy kids right near us when the restaurant was mostly empty?? Thankfully they didn't stay the whole time and seemed to only be there for dessert but really?? Grant was our server we and he was great. I miss when Melting Pot used to have the seasonal menus. We enjoyed the Bigger Night out which used to come with 2 lobster tails but now only has one. Not a fan of the salmon, it was way too fishy. Everything else was good, especially the filet. My friend and I keep a monthly dinner with the Melting Pot. We always participate in the BFFF (Best Friends Forever Fondue) deal which is about $44 per person, minimum of 2 people. This gets us cheese, salad, a preset entrée, which includes shrimp, herb crusted chicken, teriyaki steak, and filet mignon (3 pieces of each), plus chocolate. This is a great place to catch up to have great conversations. We had a new server, Dakota, who was REALLY GREAT! We sit at a table with 2 pots, so we each can choose exactly what we want, and don't have to agree on anything! Dakota was really efficient with his cheese making!! He made BOTH of our different cheese pots at the same time. Usually, a server makes one, and then makes the other. The cheeses came out amazing! I ordered the Alpine cheese, which includes Gruyère, Raclette, Fontina, White Wine, Garlic, & Nutmeg, which is so good! My friend got the fiesta cheese, which is Aged Cheddar, Emmenthaler, Lager Beer, Housemade Salsa, & Jalapeño. The cheese is accompanied by sourdough bread, pretzel bread, granny smith apples, cauliflower, sweet peppers, and carrot sticks. The salads were great as well. My usual is the Caesar salad. My favorite ingredient in the salad is the candied pine nuts!! I have never had these before, let alone this sweetened version! It totally makes the salad unique in comparison to any other restaurant. With the entrée, the cooking style I chose was the Coq Au Vin, comprised of Burgundy Wine, Mushrooms, Scallions, & Garlic. This is also Gluten Free. In addition to the meats, the entrée also comes with complimentary veggies (potatoes, broccoli, & mushrooms) & a variety of dipping sauces. My favorite combo is the Green-Goddess cream based sauce with the mushroom caps. Delish! Also, my favorite sauce for the meats is the Teriyaki sauce. It is great on everything!! Oh, and how can I forget the "angry cocktail sauce" for the shrimp! This cocktail sauce is loaded with horseradish!! Dakota kept our meal moving & he checked on us often. We were immediately greeted at the door. The hostess checked us in for our reservation and walked us to our table. The tables have high walls around them are in seclusion of other tables in the restaurant allowing for complete privacy which was so nice. Stacy greeted us and took our drink order. We chose Wisconsin Cheddar for our cheese fondue, Caesar salad for me/blue cheese bacon salad for my husband, the grill plate for the main course, and s'mores chocolate for dessert. The cheese was yummy and complimented the assortment of dipping food. My husband's salad was the best!! Mine was very good but when going back I will get the bacon salad for sure. We ordered drinks and the manager brought it over and had a great discussion with us. I do wish we would have done the fondue part for the main course. The grill plate you cook yourself and while it was fun it would have been nice to see what the fondue part was about. We will certainly do that next time. The S'mores dessert was heaven!
