It may seem ethnically prejudice, but I have never ever had bad Polish food anywhere. Pols are all about customer service and amazing food quality in every state and country I have lived. The Mesquitery exceeded my expectations. Fantastic service, excellent food quality, and a welcoming atmosphere. The patio is sweet. My ten year old son has never had a pierogi. He loved them! The fettuccine alfredo was delicious, and my steak was perfect. Even the New York cheesecake was up to New York standards. BRAVO!! I strongly encourage them to take anti-mosquito measures though. We had fabulous experience this evening. It was our first time in, ewe ordered nachos and Alfredo with an oyster shooter. Everything was delicious and satisfying. The shooter was fresh and clean! I had the pork rib tips, they were awesome. My daughter had the snapper tacos, they were light and flavorful. My grandson had the seafood casserole, which was rich and wonderful. We came for Mother's Day 2024, and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious, and there was a comfortable atmosphere. I had the Porterhouse steak with Mashed potatoes and salad. My partner had the salmon with a delicious Alfredo and Caesar salad. Our daughter had a cheese pizza with chicken on the side, which she didn't want, so we ate the chicken while waiting for our plates. The bartender was a great guy who showed our daughter some new handshakes. He also made a great margarita and mimosa. Overall, The service was great all around! Perfection on a plate is the only way our mesquite grilled salmon could be described. Kasia was an amazing server; on point and amazing, every step of the way. When I complimented her, she gave full credit to her boss for being so amazing and great to work for. How often does that happen? No way to describe how difficult our week has been and it came down to one dinner, tonight, to give us a good memory for our last night in Oregon. The mesquite grilled salmon topped with a Parmesan cream sauce was more delicious than I can possibly describe. The fresh salmon was cooked perfectly. The creamy garlic sauce (broiled until melted) complemented the salmon in a way I didn't expect. I wouldn't have ordered it prepared this style if not for Kasia's recommendation. The housemade cheesecake served with fresh raspberry purée and fresh raspberries made for the perfect ending to a perfect meal. Our Long Island teas were flavorful and balanced- priced at a reasonable $8.50 each. Outstanding dinner and server. I'll remember this dinner for a long time and look forward to going back. OMG. We had the best beef dinners of our lives tonight. I had the beef cheeks special. So tender and all meat. Gravy like my mom used to make. My son had the prime rib. He loved it. He thought it was the best prime rib he'd had. The real killer was the rib eye my wife ordered. Hands down the best flavored steak we've had (I had to help). They cook all the meats on a grill behind glass so you can see it all. The temperature of every piece of meat was spot on. The homemade clam chowder was also excellent. The owner was flying around the restaurant doing whatever needed to be done. Finally the chocolate bomb was the bomb. We were exploring around the Gorge looking for a good steak place. This apparently isn't one. We ordered two $42 prime ribs cooked "rare". They came out looking like something you might expect at a Denny's. A maximum of 1/2 inch thick, 20% fat and very, very tough, gristly and over cooked to well done. Very disappointed. The server was great and didn't appear to be surprised by our feedback. We suggested whoever selects their meat should reconsider another career. Maybe they're trying. But it's just falling short. This isn't $50 steaks, but even a little more effort would make these steaks better than your local Outback or Applebee's. And when I say this, please go to Applebee's for a better steak. Ok, let's begin. The menu is too varied. The options go across the spectrum from "Mexican dishes", to Fettuccine Alfredo, to steaks and seafood. Pick two major categories at most, and just be really good at those. The steaks we ordered were grey, wet, and over cooked. We order medium rare, they showed up medium well. No char, no crust. Invest in Kosher salt. Don't give me a salt grinder and then drop in iodized salt. The restaurant would do better by taking half the nights meat and place into a fridge to let it dry brine in some salt for 4 hours. Every time you pull one out, prep another one in the fridge. And place them in vertical rack. Like ribs. So air can circulate around the meat. The colors and flavors intensify, even with the cheaper of meats. The meat will always get a nice crust and will come out with better colors. Also, sear it at a much hotter temp. Super high, dry heat. Then toss them into a 400°F oven to finish it off for your customers. Use a temperature probe. It's not a rookie move. It's guaranteeing that your customers get exactly what they want, every time. The vegetables are probably bulk bought precut, barely steamed. I understand if it's a small operation, trying to cut costs, but sear them in a pan with butter, deglaze with white wine. Easy. The rice was bland. Under seasoned. Everything was under seasoned. The wait staff is trying, but saying sorry just isn't enough after a while. Don't say sorry. Just fix it. Don't come here. Go somewhere else. They still have a lot of work to do. read more
