Parking can be rough, there are a few spots behind their building and we were lucky to get one as someone was leaving. If you're less lucky you can look for street parking and walk over. We arrived about 11:50 AM and weren't sure if we should seat ourselves. The place was busy and the family that arrived after us had a short wait. The dining area has a cozy, local beach vibe with fresh colors and refreshingly diverse mix of diners. We asked the bartender about seating and she responded "he's coming now to seat u." A friendly elderly gentleman headed our way and slowly showed us to our table. The waitress came a few minutes later and was friendly despite how busy she clearly was. Drinks were ordered and a few minutes later she took our food order. The food was a bit slow coming out but I tend to expect that on Sundays at busy local spots. My husband got the pancake breakfast and I ordered a 2 egg breakfast. The pancakes were delicious and so was the sourdough toast that came with my meal. I subbed handcut fries for the breakfast potatoes and while the fries tasted good... they were room temp as were my husband potatoes which were also under seasoned. I was hoping that the longer wait for food would mean it was going to come out hot. (But no luck) Overall, I'd come back. Side note: tipped the waitress a $20 on a $40 tab because my husband said "no change needed" before I could tell him I only had 3 $20 dollar bills. Instead of chasing her down I decided maybe it would earn me a kindness karma point somewhere along the line, lol.

Another table that came in after us got their meal and paid and left before we even got our burgers. We asked to speak to the manager who was also the owner and he gave us 50% off, which is great but it was such a bad experience I'm not sure I will be back anytime soon, which sort of sucks cause their food is good and their specials too! The menu has a variety of sandwiches, salads, wraps and salads that everyone will find something they will enjoy. I grabbed the Bayville Farms roast beef with Havarti cheese with a house dressing. This was on a nice French bread and was a very solid sandwhich. It had a nice slice of the Havarti and was really good. My wife had the Lynnhaven roasted chicken breast, Pimento Cheese, bacon, spinach, tomato and basil spread on ciabatta bread. Again this was a pile of meat and vegetables on a good piece of bread. Both of these came with a bag of Route 18 potato chips that are locally made. The service was real quick and delivered to our outside table within minutes of finishing grabbing our sodas. While they also offered inside seating, we sat outside because it was warm and comfortable in the sun. Both are good options for the spirit of the moment. Once we left we drove by other Taste restaurant we then realize this was a chain that I would not have an issue visiting another one. This was a quick and very enjoyable lunch

It's not fast-casual, but you're not waiting 30 minutes for your food. Expect at least 10 minutes for appetizers to arrive. Our entrees were ready in about 20, and the place was near capacity. The great thing about the wait? It was well worth it. Piping hot food, served with that homemade flavor arrives on dishes that almost match. I chuckled at the mismatched bowls that hit our table. I felt like family before my first bite. Meatloaf! I can't make one, but I'll eat one that is well made. Dense, flavorful and portioned to take some with you. I was taken care of by the chef and she was very helpful with the menu. They have so many appetizing options on their mostly healthy, all fresh menu. I love soup, so I love that they offer several each day, with some standards, plus a soup of the day, which on the day I visited was cream of potato. Where I sat at the counter, I could watch them making all the food and I was impressed to see that they don't just ladle soup into a bowl to serve it, they actually cook and prepare, then dress it to plate it perfectly. Their cream of potato was really good and not the traditionally made where the potato is pureed into the soup - rather they make a creamy soup base and then add potatoes to it. The combo of the soup, a small piece of potato, scallion, and a small piece of bacon really made for a great spoonful in each spoonful I enjoyed!! My coworker got their Asian Chicken Noodle and that looked amazing! He said it was incredible. Next up was the entrée and we both got their lamb gyro.... It's not the traditional gyro, it's an openfaced style, just like their chicken salad toast. It was really good! The tzatziki was great on it! And we also got a side of their cucumber feta salad... this tasted fresh and the feta was vibrant, with the combo of the cucumber and feta together being incredibly tasty. Overall, another very nice visit to a Stockpot restaurant... Looks like I need to try their Chesapeake location to get the trifecta of Stockpot! Highly recommend stopping in!

I ended up ordering the southwestern skillet with a lamb burger, and honestly, it was one of those meals you don't forget. The flavors were just... dialed in. Everything tasted intentional--perfectly seasoned, balanced, and comforting without being heavy. And the lamb? That slight gaminess added just the right amount of depth and richness to the dish. It didn't overpower anything--it completed it. What really stood out to me, though, was how effortless the whole experience felt. The staff were genuinely friendly--not in a scripted way, but the kind that makes you feel welcome right away. And the service was quick, which I appreciated since I was trying to make the most of a short trip. There's something about this place that feels like a local gem you almost don't want to share--but at the same time, you know people need to know about it. If I had more time in Norfolk, I would've gone back without hesitation. It's the kind of spot that makes you wish your trip was just a little bit longer.

Though a lot of people come in from the naval base and the surrounding area, it's not a super busy spot. This place is very hole-in-the-wall and straightforward. They serve both authentic Filipino food and Poke. People come in for both! This place offers a "turo-turo" experience, like what you would do at places like Panda Express, Moe's, Chipotle, where the entree items/Poke ingredients are already laid out for you and you just have to point ("turo" in Tagalog) at what you want on your plate. Even if you don't know the name of the dish, the staff is very helpful. The nice thing is you don't have to wait for your food to cook! I don't know if this place keeps the same menu everyday, but usually in places like these, the menu changes, so what was offered the day you visited might be different from the next! :) They also offer a unique variety of asian brand drinks on their fridge that you can just grab and pay for on the counter. Overall, our meal + drinks were a cheap price! Everyone in there was incredibly friendly. And the food was good! We had the adobo and the longganisa and it was delicious. But like most Filipino dishes, what is a hit for me might be a miss for some. Filipino food highly varies in flavor based on who cooks it since most households have their own flare and twist on cooking certain dishes. This is one of those things where you just have to go in and try it for yourself and see if you like how they make it! I personally enjoyed the meal and would love to come back to try their Poke! The space itself is very small. Not a lot of seating inside. So more of a to-go joint than a sit-down spot. It also shares the same strip with other businesses, so not a lot of parking either. But if you're looking for a quick lunch on the go, I highly recommend this spot.
