The sales person after discussing all the options recommended before I replace the unit, to have it evaluated. Kyle from Samson and Sons came out and performed a mirid of tests both electrical and mechanical including pressure testing. He found a couple of corroded wires which he replaced at no additional charge and also made sure that the evaporator condensate drain line was clear and flowing properly. In the end he recommended that we not replace the unit as it was running well within manufacturers specifications. He recommended that we run it until it dies. As a company who is in the business of selling new HVAC systems they had every motivation to recommend a replacement but did not. When my unit does die, I will only purchase its replacement from Samson and Sons!

I sent their General Manager, Jim, the estimate I'd received from the other guys and a separate second opinion along with my concerns. Instead of speculating, Jim sent James out to evaluate our system personally. James spent two hours inspecting everything and discovered the previous company had recommended a massive amount of unnecessary equipment and failed to mention that the actual issues were caused by their own poor installation. The air flow from the registers read 80. I had a very positive experience with Todd from Rincon. When I showed him the figures, he speculated my AC was low on refrigerant. He gave me a price estimate assuming refrigerant had to be added to the AC unit. After checking pressure readings on my AC unit, he added two pounds of refrigerant to the AC unit and the air flow temperature started coming down. He then checked for possible leaks and found one which he was able to repair. During the time he was working, Todd answered my questions which helped me better understand what to expect regarding my AC unit. I am delighted to report that the inside temperature eventually dropped down to the thermostat setting and the air flow coming from the registers was 20 degrees cooler than the inside temperature. Todd indicated that is what I should expect. The next day everything is working as expected. The Inside temperature matches the thermostat setting and the air flow from the registers is 20 degrees cooler than the inside temperature. Todd was easy to communicate. He was able to repair the leak and didn't charge me for it, which I appreciated. I will be requesting him for any future servicing my AC might need.

He crawled through a very tight crawl space, found the broken pipe and explained that the pipe they used originally was sub standard material and there was a class action suit because of it. He explained that the entire house would need all water pipes replaced due to the sub standard pipes used on my house. I spoke with the office and they immediately set up time to do the replacement, how much it would be and that it would take about 2 days to complete. On time Julian and Jeff came out, did an entire house inspection, and got to work. They couldn't complete the entire house in one day, but since I have 2 bathrooms in my house, they completed all the house except the master bathroom, leaving us for the night with one working bathroom. Julian and Jeff came back early the next day to complete the job. This cheap piping was all through this house, but they replaced all the inside piping with proper copper everywhere, bathrooms, showers, tubs, kitchen, laundry, water heater... all copper, all professionally installed. Perfect! There is a reason everyone has heard of Goettl. Excellent response, immediate action, making sure the entire house was piped perfectly and correctly. And sweeping and cleaning up behind themselves.

Every step of the installed he explained what he was doing and why and checked with me to ensure that I was happy with each step that he took. And just when I thought things couldn't get any better Ray shows up with over 36 years of experience. Ray came through double and triple checked EVERYTHING. When my unit powered up he instantly heard that my unit was not running to optimum performance and found a filter in a return vent that it didn't belong (thanks tenants) but that's what over 35 years of experience gets you with Ray. Once my unit was up and running Ray discovered that the compressor didn't come with enough gas to power up the AC unit RAY AND BOBBY came to the rescue again and drove an hour for more gas. They refused to leave me without an AC unit. The guys said they would not leave me until it was right and they did just that.
