Just visited the bar area. Nothing went wrong here. Had a good cider from the tap and a Bud light. Plenty of TV screens for the Amazon football game and you had the ability to order food from two different restaurants to be delivered. My order came in 15 minutes.

Depending on the size of your group & if the room is available, I would recommend booking the VIP room. The open lanes are $35 per person an hour and the VIP room is $45 a person, while you still only get an hour to throw the difference between the two is being in your own private area with the ability to select your own music & you'll have a personal waiter who will periodically stop by to see if you need anything. Online is shows that you need at least six people in your party to book a VIP room, we only had five, but I called ahead of time and asked if there was open space if we could book it anyway. The general manager on that day was awesome & let us book the VIP room since they had plenty of openings on the day we wanted to visit. Upon your arrival you'll enter into their bar & lounge area, where you'll find plenty of seating along with quite a few board games you can play with your family and friends. I found the space to be quite cozy & inviting, we had visited shortly after the holiday season so everything was still decorated for Christmas and added to the charm making it feel more like a winter getaway cabin. The VIP room felt very much the same, it had a nice seating area with three private throwing lanes. We loved being able to pick out our own music to listen to while throwing. If you get hungry they had a menu which offers a few in-house dishes, but also has options from several close businesses. We ordered some sliders & some brussels sprouts from a spot nearby that was featured on their menu. After a short amount of time, our waiter came by to let us know that the food spot was a bit busy & running behind on their order so he was going to extend our time so we could eat and throw some more which was very nice of him. Drink wise, you can order soda and alcohol from the bar. We loved that the lanes had a tablet that allowed you to choose from a number of games to be projected onto the throwing boards. One of my personal favorites was the tic-tac-toe and competing against my husband to see who would win. The kids had a fun time with the zombie target practice, and the darts style throwing. We were having so much fun that the hour along with the extra fifteen minutes we were given, completely flew by! The regular throwing lanes had quite a few people when we arrived, but still offered plenty of space to walk through without feeling like you were in the way of anyone. The arcade area offered mostly pinball machines, but we love them so we were exited to check it out after our timeslot was over. I was actually kind of surprised that when our time slot was over & we came out of the VIP room that all of the regular throwing lanes were completely empty & we were the only party left, so we were able to have the whole arcade to ourselves. This is definitely a spot we would want to come back to!

Had such a good date night with my husband! So many options for games and also great drinks and environment. Our host was awesome and really helpful. We're from Seattle but have an airbnb in AZ so we come here often and will definitely be back!

My wife and I got caught at the bar waiting for a reservation across the street , after 2-3 delicious cocktails, and finding out that they also serve mellow mushroom and cook and craft, we ended up staying for some more! Bar was a enjoyable to just relax and watch some college football. What we didn't expect was that our bartender Nick would convince us to actually go throw axes!! He seamlessly transitioned us into our own throwing lane in the back, where chas took over and taught us how to throw. They helped make the entire experience wonderful and easy. This place is perfect if you just wanna drink some cold beer and watch sports and even better if you want to throw axes, drink cold beer, AND throw axes

Went there with my family after a normal dinner, had a beautiful time with our Axe-Pert Chasity! She taught my children and I how to throw and then when we were almost done, the manager came over and gave us a little more time so we didn't have to rush through our intense game of connect four! :) would recommend for anyone looking for a chill place to hangout, the vibes and aesthetic are one of a kind

My review may be unconventional, but I hope it's helpful. So, I didn't throw axes during my visit. I actually wandered in to enjoy a nonalcoholic beverage and read my book for an hour before a comedy show two doors down. The staff's kindness truly stood out to me. They went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable, from offering to close the door to the hot outside to refreshing my water while I simply sat there sipping away killing time. That level of kindness goes a long way, so when I'm ready to throw axes one day, this is definitely a spot I'd return to. Everyone was wonderful, and Hailey really made an impression! She was exceptionally sweet, helped take some fun photos in the lobby, chatted with me about the fun bear slippers they sell, and was a warm, welcoming face as soon as I walked in. I also enjoyed watching several people order food for delivery from the Mellow Mushroom next door--a cool setup that invited tempting smells! Thanks for a lovely memory!

Staff was super friendly and the place had a fun vibe. The ability to play different games by projecting different images onto the board was unique and made the experience more exciting. However, I'm not sure that was worth the price paid for just an hour of throwing. Also, more assistance throughout the hour of throwing may have made the experience more enjoyable for those new to axe throwing.

What a fun experience for our team event. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. They had a great selection of beers to include locals. Our instructor Mitchell was amazing...So patient and gave us great tips to hit the board. The different games made it extra fun! Great for a date night or outing with a group of friends.

Super fun spot! Great selection on tap, atmosphere had a good vibe, they have a game room, axe throwing, TV's, patio, etc. Check out their VIP room for big events! Grab dinner nearby on High street before you come and then come here for the fun! They don't have food here but they do have a food runner that will go pick up your order for you at any of the restaurants on High St (if you prefer to eat there). We will definitely be back, this is a great edition to all of the other amazing places on High Street! Highly recommend!

The bar setting itself was nice! I truly appreciate the speakeasy feel- walking through a mystery door phone booth was a good welcome to this bar. Small on the inside, but had a classy but casual feel. Since we did the murder mystery there was also a preset menu which was cool. The food was okay, but will be returning back for the drinks more than the food. The murder mystery game was a nice way to get everyone in the bar involved. Essential a real like clue or who done it game. Very interesting but also can be a bit distracting if your goal was to come out and have some drinks and peace out at your leisure. While it is a very cool idea, I feel that more customers would be able to come and go on these days and not be turned out because a reservation was not made. All in all, will return on another night to try more drinks

I'm gonna give three stars because the service was great at the bar and the server was attentive outside and quick although she didn't know the menu well. I ordered the cheese plate to split with my children and no one knew what was on it when I asked, but I was later informed that I got a tomato jelly and honey mustard as the sauces. To me a $30 cheese plate would not come with a container of honey mustard so I was not impressed. When I asked what cheeses were on it they told me there was 2 different cheddars. There was no way it was a cheddar it was a very soft cheese. I believe it was a goat cheese. The almonds were probably the best part of the whole platter. My husband got wings, which were very big. He enjoyed those and the sauce, and my other daughter got meatballs, which she enjoyed, but thought they were a little spicy, I find that usually when kids order things that are spicy servers will say just so you know that has a little bit of heat to it to which the waitress did not again, I don't think she was very knowledgeable on the menu in general . Hula's does have happy hour deals every day, but the weekend deals are limited to drinks only (weekdays include some food options). Some of our group ordered discounted drinks, and between the 9 of us, we got a solid assortment of items, ranging from mai tais and longboards to potstickers and loco moco, and even a teriyaki chicken kids meal. Understandably, the food took a bit with our party size, but everything was coordinated came out pretty much at the same time. The loco moco was definitely a group favorite (good burger patty) while the mac salad was probably our least favorite component (lacking in salt and flavor). To zhush up my loco moco a bit, I asked our server for some hot sauce, and was brought their Madagascar hot sauce. Woooo-wee that was hot! But it was fun to pass the sauce cup around the table so we could all try some. It was definitely on the spicy side, even for us spice lovers, but tasty. Overall, we had a nice experience at Hula's and we're glad to have had a comfortable place for us all to catch up!

I've passed by Blue Martini many of times. It always seems to be the most hype spot on High Street, a nice entertainment district in Desert Ridge. I finally took the plunge and checked it out on a Thursday night around 9:30 p.m. Parking is easy (and free) on the street, in the surface lots, or the garage on High Street. Ambiance (3.5/5): Blue Martini is definitely a bit bougie and caters to that audience. There's a nice outdoor patio which is where we sat since the weather was beautiful. There's a bar outside and waiter service. I briefly looked inside and there's a bar inside too, lounge sitting, and a dance floor. Blue Martini often has live music or a DJ. Definitely a spot where you can break it down on the dance floor. There's bottle service too if that's your thing. Service (2/5): Talk about slow service! It took our waitress longer than it should have for us to greet us. After placing an order for drinks, we received them promptly. After that we didn't see her again for quite a while. I wanted to order a second cocktail and she was nowhere to be found. Eventually she came around and I placed my order. I decided to close out right then and there knowing that it would take a long time to track her down to close out if I didn't do it right then and there. They also charge two fees amounting to 5%. Not sure what that's all about. Food (N/A): While they do have food, I just had drinks since I was there pretty late. I view Blue Martini as more of a drinks spot, but I can't comment on the food. They have a daily happy hour with discounts on select food items. Drinks (3.5/5): If the name isn't a dead giveaway, Blue Martini specializes in martinis. Beyond martinis, they have a large cocktail list. Plus everything else you'd find with a full bar. The drinks are a bit pricey (it is a see and be seen type of spot after all and you're likely to see old geezers pulling up in Lambos and Ferraris), but I liked the selection. I started off with the Blue Martini, their namesake. It's served with a blue glow stick. From there, I had the strawberry basil martini. Both were pretty good. Not speakeasy quality cocktails but better than your average bar for sure. While Blue Martini isn't really my scene, I can have a good time anywhere. If you're looking to turn up and dance, it's a good spot for that. And it's also elite for people watching.
